I’m a big chicken when it comes to dentists and cleanings but I’ve never been disappointed here. The Hygienists are so careful and understanding and the dentists don’t try to oversell you a bunch told stuff you don’t need. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good and honest dental experience.

Dr. Wright is very professional, skilled in his craft and knowledgeable. He was thorough throughout each step of my examination and explained in detail the reasoning behind each recommendation.

My dentist, I believe Dr. Wright, put up with my humor and gave me a thorough examination. I set my 6 month appointment and appreciate that United Health Care insurance was and is accepted. The office is clean, modern, and efficient.

Fantastic experience: I broke bottom right molar & went to the first Dental in my insurance network that saw me the next day appointment to pull the tooth. However, that Mckinney, TX Dental did not do what I wanted in getting the broken tooth pulled. After two weeks dealing with the pain & discomfort. Today Tuesday, 13 May 2025. I found Melissa Dental & Orthodontist Melissa, TX. They took care of my tooth extraction quick & easy like, I wanted with my Dental insurance covering what I wanted & needed in pulling broken tooth. Before any procedure, he took the time to explain everything thoroughly, which really helped ease any concerns. He was very patient throughout, and the entire office was impeccably clean. The front desk staff were equally fantastic—polite, friendly, and welcoming. This is definitely a great environment for dental care. We don’t mind driving from Allen to Melissa because the quality of care here is worth every mile. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We use them for dental and ortho. They are always super nice and informative. They have gotten my son in last minute, which was greatly appreciated! Occasionally I get a text about appointments or payments and it’s an actual person with prompt responses. We especially love Leo at the front desk. He is always bubbly and kind, making you feel welcome. He’s the reason we chose them for ortho also.

Fantastic experience: They have a 4.9 for a reason it should be a five I’ve had horrible experiences at dental offices. I’ve had horrible experiences with dentist that don’t listen and they’re cocky and talk down to you. I came here today and I was thoroughly impressed. The dentist was beyond professional. He was very personable. He was willing to discuss options pertaining to my care. He actually listened. I was floored. My mouth was hanging wide open not because I was in the dentist office, but because I was astonished, I was treated very well. He was generally concerned about my care and that means a lot again. This office should be a five his office staff beyond stellar very friendly very understanding super super impressed. Will be bringing my wife and son here as well and will recommend to everyone I know.

Negative experience: I called asking for prices of self-pay patient and the lady was so rude. She told me the price, I asked what was included, she told me and when I said ok thank you. She just hung up on me. I was looking for a new dentist, but if that’s how you treat your possible new patients, no thank you!

Fantastic experience: Went in to get an examine and check out a broken filling. Everyone was great and its was a great experience! Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I went for a dental cleaning, and there was a new person just starting out. Without anyone supervising, they were performing all the procedures alone. They used the X-ray device and attachments to take images of my mouth. Even though I told them it was uncomfortable and that there should be protective covers on the parts going into my mouth, they continued without using any. At one point, the X-ray machine stopped working, and even a couple of pieces from the cleaning tool got stuck in my mouth.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! I was a new patient with a dental emergency and they worked me in that morning. They were kind and thorough in every way. Treat med the issues same day. Looks like I found a new dentist !

Fantastic experience: I was a little nervous about attending a dentist since I just moved to the area, but Dr.Wright and Andrea the hygienist were amazing! Andrea took her time and did a really great job with my teeth cleaning and I only want her to do my cleanings every time!!! She was very personable and Dr. Wright reassured me of prior concerns that I had and also let me know that I was on track for braces and many dentist tried to tell me I needed more work done before doing so. Negative experience: Incompetent dentists sending everyone to Associates in PIE for their mistakes. Would never recommend this dentistry to anyone. They failed to do a root canal on me and decided to pull the whole tooth instead of admitting their mistake, sent me to PIE who was competent enough to save my tooth

Fantastic experience: I looked for a new dentist after changing insurance. I had been to my previous one for 25 years. Frankly I was scared but it was a very pleasant experience and from now on this will be my dentist. Thanks for setting me at ease.

Fantastic experience: This place is on top of their game! The reminders coming up to your appt are on point and the doctors and staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. My favorite part is that they get you right in and get to work on you, no long waits for the doctor to show up. You may not love going to the dentist but this organization makes it as easy as it possibly can be...!

Negative experience: I had a 1:00pm appointment and I wasn’t seen by the dentist until about 2:15pm, the wait time was very long, the dental hygienist didn’t seem to know what she was doing, she had to re-do multiple x-rays because she didn’t know she had to get all of them. After waiting for over an hour to see the dentist for my cleaning he only took about 10 minutes to clean my teeth and left, he didn’t ask how I was doing, and he didn’t seem like he cared at all. The cleaning felt rushed and unorganized. The dental suction device also malfunctioned, and stopped working, so the hygienist didn’t even finish polishing my teeth at the end. I don’t recommend this place to anyone and it was a huge waste of time!!

Fantastic experience: This dental office earned my trust and business for all future needs. I had an urgent need for care and was treated the following day. Insurance did not cover this treatment. I was informed prior to treatment and gladly paid fees.

I had a wonderful first-time experience! I was specifically looking for a smaller, locally owned practice that wasn’t focused on upselling or overwhelming patients, and this office delivered exactly that. Anne was super friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable during my cleaning. I really appreciated that she made me feel at ease and didn’t try to exaggerate my dental needs to push unnecessary treatments. Dr. Allen was equally pleasant, informative, and transparent. He took the time to talk through potential future options with honesty and care. I truly hope this is the beginning of a long-term relationship with this office. I’m happy to finally feel comfortable with my dental care again!

Negative experience: Unacceptable business practice. My wife and I booked appointments, made child care arrangements, left work early and then they canceled the appointments 20 minutes before they were scheduled via text message, citing "unable to verify inssurance." First, some people are cash customers. Second, if this is a prerequisite to an appointment, then say so up front and don't allow people to make appointments without providing proof of insurance. Third, they threaten a $50 fee for no shows, cancelations, or reschedules less than 24 hours in advance. I expect the same in return. You canceled on me within minutes of the appointment. You owe me $50. Please respond with a method of payment for your fee.
