Negative experience: prices are ridiculously high for out of pocket service bean into issues with insurance and front desk was not helpful

Fantastic experience: I broke a molar two days before Christmas. I called at 9am and Dr. Christian was able to take me at 3. Excellent staff and always a positive experience.

Negative experience: I didn’t get to see a dentist! I wasn’t seen. There was an issue with my insurance that no one checked prior to me arriving. When I resolved it, ppl were too busy to notice me

Fantastic experience: I am a fairly new patient of Dr. Christian’s as I joined the practice about 8 months ago. I have to say that I’ve loved the atmosphere every time I have been there so far. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The office is cozy and everyone seems pleased to be working there! Fantastic experience: I had a problem with a crown on a tooth. Dr Sun immediately came up with a solution that will relieve me of the pain I’ve been experiencing the past couple of years. Negative experience: So, this dentistry has a few issues that make me question their professionalism. The office and presentation of the establishment is clean and orderly. But the attitude of the staff (specifically the hygienist’s and even Dr.Christian) is unprofessional at a completely unacceptable level. First time I went here over a year ago. Dr sits down to evaluate my teeth, then he asks me about a birthmark I have on my face and says “you should get that looked at by a dermatologist”… Am I at a dentist office or a dermatologist? Second, is that your business what may or may not be present on your patients facial profile? Especially with no context and loosely stating your personal opinion on my physical image. But, I digress that point. The main problem I have, is if you skip an appointment (for life occurrences like taking care of your new born daughter). The next time you go in, they will harass you nonstop in a very rude tone as to why you skipped your last appointment and I was specifically told by the hygienist (which was a Eastern European woman, I do not recall her name). “What am I going to do with you? Why did you skip your last appointment?” In a non joking/accusatory manner. As if I did something wrong by having to reschedule or cancel an appointment. This type of conduct is truly unacceptable, especially when you pay over $500 a visit to be upsold on dental services you may not even need. I do not recommend this office for your dental needs unless you just want to have your business intruded upon and be harassed if you don’t accommodate their schedule. And to top it off, get nonstop marketing text messages/emails everyday.

Positive experience: My family has been patient of Dr. Christian dental practice for a long time. We knew each other on first name basis. There used to be a sense of care and belonging that was unique to the dental office. With the recent changes, the practice is progressively changing into an assembly line dentistry. The personal or communal relationship is quickly fading away. Now, I dread going for my regular appointment. Each time I’m there, the front desk ask to fill or update a form. I’m the same patient, have the same address and the same insurance. They don’t seem the care about the patient anymore. We are becoming just a number.

Fantastic experience: I am new to the area and had a dental emergency!! Middletown Dental Care got me scheduled quickly to see what my issue was. It turns out, a cracked tooth had gotten infected and was causing tremendous pain. The tooth needed to be removed and a bridge was recommended. Dr. Christian and staff took the time to explain things to me about the problem and solution. They also made sure I understood everything about the cost and timeline. I left the office feeling so much better about everything. If my insurance was in network, I would absolutely make them my new dental office. That was the only disappointment. Fantastic experience: They got me an appointment really quick . When I showed up , they had a problem with my insurance. The girls up front worked on it for almost a hour straight, and got it figured out so I could be seen. The dentist was on point. He made it very clear the problem and fixed me up pretty fast without problems or pain. I will continue to go to this dentist office until I can’t. Everybody listened to me and was so helpful. Positive experience: My hygienist was super very professional and did an excellent job. I do have concerns with the billing and so on I don’t think everything was explained to me correctly, but at this point, I don’t want to pursue it.

Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful experience from booking the appointment, check in, getting my crown and follow up. The office staff are so friendly and efficient. Dr. Sun walked me through the procedure and told me each step he was doing through the procedure and checking to see if I was pain free and comfortable. The hygienist was friendly, informative and accommodating. I am a handicapped person and they made sure I could maneuver safely in their office and everyone was offering to help. An officer manager (I think) asked me how my procedure went and if I was happy with my experience. Hands down the best dental office experience I have ever had on all levels.

Negative experience: We had the worse service ever. I only need a dental cleaning and just because somebody doesn’t have an insurance they try to charge you for more money. I payed for an appointment that comes with a diagnostic and they change extra for something that is included.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. After a deep cleaning here, my gums were torn up and bleeding for weeks. When I went back, they tried to charge me $500 for an X-ray — for their mistake. Other dentists confirmed the cleaning here caused the damage, and it took months for my gums to heal. Now they’re even threatening to send me to collections. Thankfully, I kept proof — always take photos of your mouth before and after visits here in case they try to get over on you. Unprofessional, dishonest, and only care about money. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: If I were simply giving a review on the dental services I've received, my rating would be much higher. I have no real complaints on the team that provided the actual dental work. In that regard, the work performed was average or better than average across the board. My biggest issue with this office is their lack of concern with customer service post visit. I have had multiple procedures performed in the past 2 months. I have insurance, althought it appears they are out of network for Middletown Dental Care. However, my insurance clearly states on the website they cover out of network care. So there should be no issues getting reimbursed. Except in order to get reimbursed the office staff would need to bill the correct insurance company. I have received multiple "Explanations of Benefits" from an insurance company I'm not insured through. And of course they are denying the claim completely, because...well they are not my insurance provider. I called and made Middletown Dental Care aware of the situation but even after telling them there was a mistake they continue to send my claims to the wrong provider. I've called 4 times to ask to speak to the person responsible for sending out the claims, and each time I've called they have been out of the office. And I'm then told they are "very busy" so give it a few days and they will return my call. A return call I have never received. As a single parent to a child with special needs, I didn't expect to have to take a hit on my savings of over 1,000 dollars simply because someone is "too busy" to assist me and bill the correct insurance provider. Everyone who has a job is "busy" so that excuse just feels very insulting. And the real rub is I have even more dental work that I need done and will now have to look for a new dentist because I can't afford to keep spending for dental care out of pocket, when I have insurance that should cover most of my care. It's been a very frustrating experience.

Positive experience: I have been coming here for basically my entire life and I’ve never trusted anyone else but Dr. Christian with my mouth. I’m happy to see the practice growing but I will say my most recent visit was a little disappointing. Again, I’ve been going here my entire life so when a new doctor made a comment about fixing my gap I was really taken a back. I’ve gotten to the place where that’s no longer something I wish to correct, I’m in my late 20s. And his repeated asking about it put me off. That interaction did not leave me feeling the best and it just was not as thorough or personable as an experience as usual. I hope the new providers learn continue the spirit of a small community practice even with this growth.

Negative experience: Be very careful of this place. They are all about money. They didn’t give me a quote. No plan nothing nothing To help me save my tooth it was all about money the Chinese guy or whatever he is kept asking me if I had Insurance and how are you going to ask me in the middle of the procedure if I have insurance so how is the procedure getting done? Either way be very careful of that Chinese guy and also other employees. They are all about money and they are very confusing I’ve been to other dentist who told me I could’ve saved the tooth but they just ripped it out of my mouth and I felt a whole lot of pain I asked for medication and they refuse to give it to me
Negative experience: I recently had to get a few fillings done and each separate appointment I was contacted by the office asking me if I could come earlier than my scheduled time. Each time, I was able to accommodate the office and come sooner. During each scheduled visit, I felt rushed by the doctor and while I was checking out, I observed the doctor Kehan Li (the performing dentist) leaving out the door before I even left the building. Even more disturbing, I experienced mouth numbness for a period of over 10 hours after getting the fillings done leaving my mouth very sore afterward and hard to fully open. Each time this doctor rushed my procedure and did not properly numb me for the procedure giving me way too much lidocaine. I have never experienced this numbness and pain with any other dentist in my life. I was left feeling like just a number rather than a patient with low quality care. I have since cancelled any other scheduled appointments with this office and would never recommend them to any of my loved ones or friends.

CHOUDHRI was very lovely and caring she considered my feelings and past experiences with dentists and she made me feel like she cared and was very compassionate with me. Negative experience: First visit (1 year ago) was with Dr. Christian and was very pleased. Needed a crown but doctor said a filling would be sufficient as I was concerned with the cost, which was done without any complaints. The following year I did not see Dr. Christian and was not happy at all. Seemed the dentist and assistants were just out of dental school. My appointment (a temporary crown) took over 2 hours to complete and involved the assistant not able to find materials, dental tools hitting my teeth and overall seemed not very experienced. The doctor also was not very seasoned and had showed no compassion and was insensitive. My return for my permanent crown was no better. Still require another crown but won’t be returning there.

They did not call me back . I had to call again to get the answer . There is no kindness , friendliness and respect. They are trying to be friendly in rude way.
