Negative experience: This was My daughter first visit however the one thing I don’t like and I’ve never had to do in all my years of myself and my kids going to the dentist is pay a deposit for her next appointment without her even being seen this is very off putting nor do they let you know before your appointment.. I mean what if I don’t have the extra money which I wasn’t expecting to pay extra money! EDIT: Horrible customer service my daughter cleaning was scheduled for today 11/25/2025 and instead of them calling me a week ago telling me know about she’s max out with her free cleaning with her benefits they waited until the day of her appointment so unprofessional and unacceptable please avoid this place like the plague

Fantastic experience: Dr. Will, Cindy my dental hygienist, and Kennedy my dental assistant were phenomenal. I really appreciate the team’s emphasis on education and teaching, and how dental health connects to your systemic health. The team was friendly, welcoming, informative, and thorough. My experience was extremely pleasant.

Negative experience: Aug 25, 2025 - update, lowering to one star because of billing issues. Some estimates were exactly the contracted rate with my insurer but some were higher. Messages went unanswered, call transfers always dropped. I had to engafe my insurance carrier who spoke with them and they started they would process the overcharges back to my card. A week later they did not. I finally spoke to them and she said it'll be there now and it's not. Very disappointed in how they handle the finances. Original Post - For starters, this was first appt and I was beyond impressed with every facet of the process and the people. I have very high standards and i must say that everyone I interfaced with met and exceeded them. I will keep this review current as I get new crown, tooth implants and fillings.

Fantastic experience: Always so sweet, kind and patient with my child, and takes the time to address any questions or concerns!

Negative experience: Made an appointment. Paid the $30 new customer fee. Was called a few days later stating I'd have to pay an additional $170 for a comprehensive service that my insurance company wouldn't cover because it was done last year. I explained I only needed a cleaning. They refused to refund the new customer fee after I canceled because I was not paying for something that was already done last year. Would've kept the appointment, but not for $200 and I have insurance.

Fantastic experience: Great first time. I will definitely be going back. The staff was awesome and they acknowledge me when I walked through the door. The Dr sat down with me and gave me a detailed step by step of my treatment and plans.

Negative experience: Giving two stars bc they take Medicaid for cleanings and do a really good job BUT. Everything else is a scam. They tried to tell me I needed a crown and proceeded to tell me it was going to cost around $1,800 + insane because I didn’t need a crown at all. AS WELL as trying to charge me 1,200 for Botox for tmj (the amount of units I get at the place I go only ever totals up to $320 on a no deals day and I only go once a year to help) They have tried to tell me I’ve needed other things as well it’s actually so crooked. I go to Leslie on Napoleon ave! She fixed my cavity for $250 told me I 100% didn’t need a crown like absolutely insane because she doesn’t take Medicaid but super helpful. They also have me some forms to fill to send to my insurance company. Something really WRONG is happening behind closed doors w their finances and bc I mean…. Fraud? Still will go for free cleanings bc I’m pretty sure it’s the ONLY SPOT IN NEW ORLEANS that takes Medicaid. Personally that I have found. And again they do a good job at everything but scamming patients into unnecessary large purchases about their teeth that often results in my friends having to pull them and I’m tired of seeing it because 20% of the time that never needed to happen! Be cautious

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to many dentists in my 15 + years of living in New Orleans and TFD is by far the best!! They are always on time so I can get In and out quickly, the facility is new and very nice, and everyone working there is great! Can’t recommend them highly enough !

Negative experience: Today was a horrible office visit! We waited an hour & a half for the doctor to tell us that there was nothing they could do for my child. And they couldn’t resolved her issue until September, which is horrible due to my child’s mouth being in pain and uncomfortable. I thought we were winning with this company but it was such a disappointment today.

Negative experience: I agree with others. The facility is beautiful. People smile and give you extra information. But my actual dental work is not satisfactory. I've had to find a dentist to go behind them and finish my work correctly. I am still in pain after multiple trips where I've been told I have "clean margins," but air is still hitting the nerve. The smiles and facility received the stars.

There's always room to improve, one of which is the excessive fees for possible missed or canceled appointment. Even though they had no issues they still went over proper brushing techniques. They are thorough yet efficient. My family of four was all seen in a timely manner. Oh I'm a little ocd, and they are very clean. I highly recommend giving them a try and you will never want to go any place else!!!
