Then how many weeks after that for extraction? Meanwhile i am still in pain but minimal at this time. Where can I get dental insurance to help pa on next procedure coming up.

Fantastic experience: I recently reunited with Santa Monica Dentists, the best IMO. The front desk staff (Jamie) and others who make the office work well BTS (Erika and Michelle) are friendly, warm and smooth operators. My dental assistant, Aida, was a true pro, so good and painless with my teeth cleaning. Dr. Freed is so knowledgeable and thorough in his exams. Shout-out to Dr. Videgain who is the OG expert and is simply the best. Everyone there is outstanding and I recommend them after years of going to this office. There are several dentist offices in this building, this one is on the 2nd floor facing Milo Olive. Also, Dr. Shafi an expert periodontist (gums and such) at this office. Dr. Shafi talks with you in layman’s terms about options after a thorough exam. She’s very good and so is this office of dentists and team ✨

Fantastic experience: Once again I had a nice experience at Santa Monica Dentists yesterday. Had Hayley as my Hygienist and she's a gem! Yesterday I learned from Hayley about SLS.... an ingredient in a lot of the newest latest greatest toothpastes (this one by Crest) that gave me a rash. Went to my GP, and she didn't know specifically what the cause was; I just told her that I thought it perhaps was my newer toothpaste. So beware: It's Sodium Laurel Sulfate. (And you have to look at the packaging as Crest does not show it's ingredients on the tube.) And now I'm using my electric toothbrush (that she strongly recommended for stain), and it lead to a noticeably better cleaning yesterday. So thanks again to the great Hygienists and Dentists at SMD who give us our great smiles :) The following I wrote also back in January, 2024: How many people can say going to the dentist is a Great Experience? After driving 20 miles on the 110 then 405, at the end of the day I can say it was a Great Day….much of it due to my experience at Santa Monica Dentists….Hayley is an excellent Hygienist and I had my best cleaning today (I’m one whose teeth stains easily from coffee, tea, etc….. )Hayley took so much time and effort and I’m so very thankful for!….my teeth look Great!)Plus we had a few laughs, as she is one of so many of the nice, happy people at the office…..bottomline, Dr Videgain and Staff are great! I almost don’t want leave a review because they are so popular and tend to book up way in advance. But they are too good not to sing their praises. I admit to bragging about them at social events. If you ever meet me at a party and the subject of teeth or dentistry comes up, you’re going to hear me say, “oh I’ve got a GREAT dentist!” Amazing staff, the best hygienist team there is and the dentist are so caring and friendly. Fantastic experience: A friend recommended Santa Monica Dentist to me last year, and I'm not being dramatic when I say this place is a game changer. As someone who's had many traumatic experiences at dental offices with people who didn't care, I was relieved when my first visit went smoothly and wasn't rushed. Dr. Videgan took time to introduce himself, discuss my dental history, and tell me about his practice. My second visit with Dr. Freed as Dr Videgan was out of office. This was another great experience. Dr. Freed and Iris are an excellent duo. Once I told them of my previous horror story at other practices they made me feel safe and seen, and the procedure went by so quickly I didn't feel a thing. P.S. When I needed my wisdom teeth removed, they referred me to Dr. Mark S Yafai down the block for oral surgery, which was also an amazing experience. The front desk lady assured me that she and her kids had great experiences there, and her recommendation was spot on. My wisdom teeth removal surgery went smoothly. I'm an out-of-network patient, and the front desk staff took the time to explain what that meant and how it all works. Thankfully, my insurance covers the same amount whether I'm in or out of network, so it worked out perfectly. It's worth driving from the east side all the way to Santa Monica. Sorry for the long review—I don't write many, but I've read so many horror stories while searching for a dentist. So I wanted to share my experience to help you. If you are in pain, or just looking for a new dentist. I truly can't recommend this place enough. For someone who's truly had the worst experiences at many dental across LA county. I can truly say this place will change your attitude toward dentists and their chairs. Also don't be afraid to ask as many questions as possible.

Negative experience: I have been a patient at Santa Monica Dentists for about a year and a half. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have left me frustrated due to scheduling issues and inconsistent service. I was asked to provide feedback on my experience here. During an appointment two sessions ago, I arrived to find out that my regular dentist was not available, and no prior notification was given. It was a Monday, and apparently, my dentist does not work Mondays — a detail I was unaware of and found quite surprising given that appointments need to be booked a year in advance. The hygienist did not have plans for another dentist to check my teeth, and I had to insist on it which was a weird experience. For my latest appointment, I was placed on a waiting list and informed that a new dentist would be seeing me. They told me over the phone that the new dentist was also tasked with cleaning my teeth as a way to get to know the patients better. Despite this, the only interaction I had with her was a brief introduction on what her name was. Throughout my cleaning, she engaged in personal conversations with the hygienist about music and other personal conversations and provided no feedback about my dental health, an essential part of any dental visit. Overall, the lack of communication and the impersonal service are major concerns. Advance booking should ideally come with the assurance of consistent, professional dental care, but that has not been my experience at Santa Monica Dentists. I hope the practice considers making significant improvements in these areas as I would like to continue being a patient here.
