The hygienist was very professional and took the time both to explain each procedure she was doing and several times ascertained that I was comfortable with the process. She made a couple of gentle suggestions regarding brushing and the type of toothpaste she would choose. Gentle, thorough, and kind!

Fantastic experience: First time trying this practice. Hadn’t been to dentist in 3 years so very apprehensive and wary of them producing a list of “necessary” procedures. Had full X-rays, cleaning and exam. Turns out my mouth in decent ahape and no work needed. Very nice office with great staff.

Fantastic experience: I went to Loving Family Dental in intense pain with a toothache. They took a CT (many offices don't have these) and pinpointed the problem tooth. Eve the office manager, made an appointment for me with a great endodontist the same day! The entire staff is superb. Dr. Tim and Dr. Lisa go above and beyond for their patients. Positive experience: Love the staff and service but don't have dental with my Medicare. My husband pays $100 for a cleaning and X-rays and I paid $174 with no X-rays but I did get a fluoride treatment. Only received a $6 senior discount.

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience with Dr. Lisa. The first appointment I had here was just a simple cleaning, which went mostly fine, until she told me my tongue was too big for my mouth. Now, my family has a history of having small mouths, so I wasn’t completely shocked by this, but 1) I have never been told this by another dentist in my 21 years, and 2) the way she stated it was insulting. It was blunt and came off unprofessional. Anyway, she identified two small cavities so we made a follow up appointment to get fillings, assuming this odd experience was just a one-off. A few days after getting my fillings, I noticed one of the spaces where a filling was done was collecting a lot of stuff, so I went back to her to have it checked (the process of getting the fillings was fine by the way, pretty quick and painless. I’ll commend her for that). At that appointment, she pretty much just said that she didn’t see it as a problem (even though, again, I was collecting a ton of debris in this small space everyday, which is how cavities occur) and didn’t want to try to fix it unless it caused a problem, which was a red flag for me. Medicine is supposed to try to be preventative. For the rest of the appointment, she went back on to say that my tongue is too big for my mouth. I’m not even sure what I was expected to do about that rather than surgically have my tongue altered, which isn’t really a thing. Again, it just felt insulting rather than helpful in any way. She also continued to repeat herself at this appointment on other new issues. She recommended I wear a guard during the night for my jaw clenching from my anxiety and my retainers during the day. I’m not sure how she expected me to really function like that, but also questioned to herself out loud if the guard would fit in my mouth due to my tongue. ‍♀️ She also recommended a sleep study for snoring. I have never snored in my life, I even pointed this out to her, and she seemed to simply ignore me. None of these things have been told to me by any other dentist I have had in my life, which have been quite a few after living in two states. It just felt like a lot of over the top, useless recommendations, and I could tell that even her assistant thought the lecture was going on way too long. Again, she repeated these things over and over, and it got very tiring. Also, the assistant I just mentioned (I don’t remember her name, but the one I had at one of my other appointments was really sweet) told me I didn’t need my mother in the room with me since I’m an adult. Note, I had already disclosed to her that I have an anxiety condition, and I am especially anxious about my health, so having a family member with me eases it. She did go and get my mother for me without argument, but being told that just felt insulting. My experiences with the practice were pretty negative, and I wouldn’t want to come back here again. **A lot of this is paraphrased, as I don’t remember what was said word for word for the most part, but the events were exactly like this, and the manner in which things were said by these employees was blunt, and definitely could have at least been explained in a more professional way.**

Fantastic experience: Loving family dental is the best practice in fountain hills and the whole valley . Dr Lisa and Tim and their team are friendly and professional. Joanna the dental hygienist always does a great Job cleaning. Eve up front is the best. I’ve been going here for 20+ years and I’ll never go anywhere else .

Negative experience: Stay away. All around horrible experience with this practice. During a regularly scheduled cleaning they identified a cavity in one of my molars. When I went to go in and get it filled they struggled to get me numb and we had to start and stop three different times which was extremely painful. Then the tooth never healed with the filling so I ended up having to get a root canal and a crown. They did the crown and the fit was never right and I went in three different times to try and get it adjusted and every time it did not work. I ended up in pain for over 8 months before having to pay for another dentist to redo the crown to fix the problem. That dentist noted that the crown was improperly made which is what was causing the issue. To make matters even worse they then decided to send me a bill a year after the service claiming my insurance didn't pay what they expected on the crown and so they were now billing it to me a year later.

Fantastic experience: I am absolutely pleased and satisfied with the care I receive at Loving Family Dental. It is extremely well run. I have never waited more than 2-4 minutes before going back for my appointment, even if I’m a few minutes early. Everyone is super friendly and listens to any and all concerns you might have. I would strongly recommend Loving Family Dental to anyone who has teeth!!

I received a complete review and evaluation by Kerrie (spelling) the dental hygenist and Dr. Tim Loving. I told Kerrie I suffer from dental phobia. She was very understanding and accommodating,, using numbing gel around my dental bridges. I had a very thorough cleaning and no pain! I am very pleased with the treatment received. Fantastic experience: Upon arrival after a 5 hour flight to meet up with my wife for a vacation in Scottsdale, I was suffering from an extremely painful toothache. My wife immediately called Loving Family Dentistry and was able to book an appointment for me that afternoon after explaining my situation. The reception staff greeted me warmly and a technician very professionally and quickly X-rayed the affected area. Doctor Loving diagnosed an abscess, and made a call to a specialist in root canals and fast tracked me to get it taken care of that day. The combination of professionalism and urgency that she showed was above and beyond anything I expected. By the next day I was pain free. This was an amazing experience and I will forever be grateful!
