Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Choctaw Dental. Dr May is the best. He is so pleasant and kind, and he explains everything in detail so that you know exactly what's going on. He loves what he does and it shows. The hygienist, techs, and office staff are great, and it is just a wonderful place. If you have an urgent issue they get you in ASAP, and they always go the extra mile. No matter what I have to have done, I am never nervous about going in I receive excellent care there, and I am so thankful that I found them.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good about Dr. May and the staff here. Story time: Last July I had what I thought was an abscessed tooth and was scheduled to fly across the country that evening but the dentist i had had work done was across the city and they couldn’t fit me in in time. So I googled and found one near good old WalMart and Starbucks and called panicked and they got me in SAME DAY. Fast forward 7 months and it happened again. I reluctantly and slightly embarrassingly called again only to be received first appointment following day (I called late day prior). The office is magazine worthy- clean and sophisticated and even has a list of things like stress balls and blankets and chapstick (which I nabbed at the end thank you!) AND roof tvs with Disney +!! What a dream to be so centrally located and with such high quality service and space. Choctaw for my personal journey has truly sucked- and this is such a welcomed gem to have found. Thank you, Choctaw Dental! We are so so grateful!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Choctaw Dental! The entire staff is friendly, intelligent, and knowledgeable. The building is new and beautiful. Dr May explained everything about my procedure in detail to me. The equipment they use is top-notch… several very nice touches are neck rolls, blankets, TV screens mounted on the ceiling and a huge TV screen X-rays are shown. I am very glad I found this excellent dental facility!

I think this is my 6th crown in 30 years and this was probably the least painful evvv-errr. October 2, 2025 adding to my last crown... Today is now the most painless crown ever. Can a dental visit get any better than this?

Positive experience: Dr Curneal was very good. The asst not so much. She left me without a suction yaunker and didn’t come back to check on me. I got the attention of Another asst .who helped me. I guess I forgot to post this. But today September 30 , was a very good visit. Tech and Dr very friendly.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I love Choctaw Dental. We've been coming here ourselves for about eight years now, but now have children old enough to go (2 and 4), as well. Finding a children's dentist just seemed like a hassle, so we started taking them to Dr. May. They've been great with them, very sweet and personable, very careful not to scare them. I've been so impressed at how well they work with both adults and small children.

Fantastic experience: The staff was extremely kind. I'm pretty sure they could tell I was quietly panicking and they were so nice. The talked me through the whole process, explained what was needed and what I could expect. I need alot of work done and they went out of their way to explain everything and made sure I understood why it was needed. This is an hour away from my house and I will gladly drive to work with this staff!

From the front desk to the dental chair, everything was spotless and welcoming. They even worked me in for a couple of extra fillings during my visit with no hassle. The team had enough staff to check my insurance and update my balance on the same day, which was a huge relief. Negative experience: I would under no circumstances recommend this establishment to anyone. I've had issues with every aspect of my experience from billing to a dental implant that has fallen out twice in less than a year, and a cleaning that was canceled due to weather and never rescheduled. I've had my insurance claims submitted incorrectly on multiple occasions wasting hours of my time on hold with my insurance provider to get it corrected. My last procedure the claim wasn't submitted properly and has left me with a $1,000 bill that should have been covered by insurance. Regarding this procedure, my implant fell out in March less than 6 months after the procedure, and they charged me to put it back in even though it was fitted properly in the first place. The implant fell out again over the weekend and I nearly swallowed it. I was told that they would not schedule me back to reinstall the tooth until I pay the bill that they submitted incorrectly. I attempted to reach out to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint, but it appears that they aren't a member so not sure what recourse I have other than warning any and everyone possible of their incompetence. I've held back on giving a negative review as I believe that a business should be given the chance to make a mistake right first; however, I'm out of chances here. If no stars was an option that would be my rating. I'm going to find a new dentist that values their customers and takes pride in their work as I haven't seen that exhibited here on numerous occasions.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Choctaw Dental. I’ve been going there for a few years now and Dr. May and his staff are very professional, organized, and skilled. I have had some crown replacements and other things fixed as well as some cleanings there. I like Dr. May’s calm, patient, and caring ways of explaining everything he’s doing along the way to help keep my anxiety levels to a minimum. He is just great and the office staff works with my insurance to let me know up front what my cost will be.

Fantastic experience: My experience there today was absolutely amazing! They took such great care of me and my two kids. My daughter is scared to go to the dentist and they made her time there a positive one! They were so great with her. The hygienists and the dentist all listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to make sure the kids and I were taken care of!!

Positive experience: Dental is getting expensive, I was charged a deductible on a free cleaning paid for by insurance. The cleaning was nothing more special than I've had twice a year for the past 20 years

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been going here for 2 years and we absolutely love them as our primary dentist. They are really gentle, kind and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Not just the doctors but the entire staff. The office is super clean and welcoming. Fantastic experience: I'm not the patient, I'm his wife. But I would have to say that Choctaw Dental sure beats the ones in California. I really don't know about the pricing here due to insurance with a company versus SSI, But Ouch. But also on the other hand, the dentist in California didn't do what they did here at all. So in my point of view. Give a BIG THUMBS UP

Fantastic experience: Just moved to the area and had to have an emergency service. They got me in the next morning. Dr May and Amy were top notch. They explained every step to me along the way. They didn’t push anything, I even asked for more work while I was there and they were able to work me in. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I really liked this place at first when me and my family started going, but then over time things started getting bad. My husband had a lot of insurance billing issues for almost a year that they kept letting fall through the cracks and that just ended up with denied claims after all of that. Now they can't even get you in for a routine cleaning unless it's 6+ months out after they were the ones who canceled your original scheduled appointment and that's after 3 calls to check for open availability still same answer unless you can drop what your doing and come in for a last minute cancelation they have the same day, which is fine for people who have the flexibility in their day to do so.

Positive experience: The lady who cleaned my was very nice as always, but the wait time after she was done for the dentist to come in was ridiculous, so I watched an episode of COPS reloaded YES the entire episode. Then I got up and put there remote on the stool, unclipped the bib and proceeded to leave. The dentist was just around the corner and stopped me as I was leaving. He asked if I've been seen by a doctor already. I said the lady cleaned my teeth, but I had some other things to do and shook his hand and left. I'm not sure if it was just this time, but the wait time was almost 25 minutes for someone to come look at X-rays and try to sell me something additional. Good place but my time is valuable as I assume there's is too.

Fantastic experience: I have severe dental anxiety and used to be absolutely terrified of going to the dentist. However, every visit to this office has completely changed my perspective. Every person I’ve interacted with was incredibly kind and welcoming, making each experience the absolute best I’ve ever had. Dr. May explained everything so thoroughly and put me at ease and Ynhu is so friendly, she explained everything she was going to do in detail, she was so patient with me and such a calming presence. Thanks to them, going to the dentist is getting much easier. I can’t thank the team enough for their compassion and what amazing jobs they do.

Negative experience: I received my reminder call about my sons appointment at 3 p.m. today. I confirmed and said I will save you a call and confirm my other two kids appointments also. Keep in mind these appointments are made 6 months in advance so I was unsure what time the other twos appointments were but surely she would have said something if the appointments were before the 3 p.m. one. Well, today at 243, I received a call saying are (blank) and (blank) coming today? I said "yes at 3 p.m." to which she said "no one was at 230 and one was at 245". I said no one told me that and she told me that I confirmed the appointments so they would have to work us in (they did get us in quickly so...). We have come here for 4 years and no i won't stop going but you all need to be better on communicating ALL the times of ALL appointments. Thanks

Fantastic experience: We had the best experience! They were patient and gentle with my daughters 4 and 11 years. Dentist took the time to explain and educate me. Facility is clean and beautiful. My 4 year old loved the play area. Thank you everyone! We had a great first experience and this is coming from people who aren't typically excited about dentist appointments.

Fantastic experience: Choctaw dental is a small town dentist with big city experience. My family has been going to Choctaw dental for years. New or old location the service has been great. They have changed, because everything changes. But they have changed their approach most which isnt bad. I was given a estimated cost prior to anything was done. When you walk in then you have the assistant take you back, locate the issue and then to the dentist which explains everything before he or she starts. We have always received quality service with a reasonable price. I highly recommend this establishment and everyone who works there. Just my opinion. I will add after dental depot shut off United Concordia we switched to Choctaw Dental and I am glad we did switch. My review stands the same today as it did when I first wrote it. Once again had a great experience. Had to have a procedure done. Got an appointment the next day. Had the cost before the procedure. I enjoy every person I come in contact with every visit. You may sit in the chair a little longer due to their compassion with other patients. But you get the same respect and compassion in return. I do appreciate all the staff. Going to the dentist isnt a joy but going here it makes it a wonderful experience. Thank you for what you do. Once again on Feb-26-2025 had a great experience. Filling and a quick check up. I highly recommend Dr May and the staff at Choctaw Dental. Sucks going to the dentist but going here makes it less suckie.

Positive experience: Reason they did not provide live sign language. I don’t trust any interpreter on VRI. It would lead miscommunication, misunderstand, make up a story and error. I had that horrible experience. Communication is very important between doctor and Deaf patient avoid error … Do you aware that VRI in every state have different signs ?? That why it mess up not right Have a nice week

Fantastic experience: My entire experience with Choctaw Dental has been a complete all around joy & pleasure. I normally hate to go to the dentist but the entire office and makes you feel at ease. Doctor is gentle and explains everything, his nurse was excellent and the office manager is a jewel, she is detailed oriented a sweet heart.

Fantastic experience: In and out in a reasonable amount of time and my teeth feel like the problem never existed. Couldn’t have had a better outcome considering I had a couple of teeth with very old crowns that needed to be attended to before they developed into painful and perhaps major issues.

Fantastic experience: I have had a change of heart about going to a dentist. No body likes the dentist, but since going to Choctaw Dental, it's not that bad. When problems arise, they addressed quickly and everyone works well with each other. This is my dentist office!
