Negative experience: Wasted my time. Arrived to my scheduled cleaning appointment to take 1.5 hr to tell me the hygienist is busy with another client and I would need to reschedule. They scheduled me knowing they would only evaluate me that day and clean another day.

Fantastic experience: The staff was very nice and the dentist and hygienist were amazing with my 11 year old and 3 year old. They were patient with my 3 year old as she has a tendency to be wiggly in the chair but they worked with her and were able to clean and put floride on her teeth. This experience I would say was better than our last one and that one was hard to top.

Fantastic experience: They were great. They listened to my issue. Explained to me in simple terms of what is wrong and what they could do to fix it. And the pricing was high but fare in the exiting market. Good after care information. Was very prompt fitting me into a last minute appointment. Great and friendly people. Now they will be my family dentist.

Negative experience: I only rated them two stars because the dentist / hygienist experience was professional and my family had good experiences with them. The office manager / billing side would get zero stars. My family was moving to this dentist office due to insurance change. In my first visit, I was told I needed a deep cleaning (have never needed it with previous dentist-Joy Dental) and would need to reschedule, they wouldn’t conduct the regular cleaning and insurance didn’t cover it. When I returned, the price doubled so I left. Then, my son had ex rays and wisdom teeth pulled in July. He went back in August for a cleaning and they forced him to take ex rays to become a patient (yes, after wisdom teeth removal). I got a text in January stating I had a balance for the ex rays because the insurance didn’t pay. Previous dentist had taken recently. This office had no pre approval process to check insurance nor notification to us that it needed to be checked before taking the ex rays. At least they voided the bill when I requested records for all four of my family members to find a new dentist. If you choose to give them a try, strongly suggest having a pre treatment consultation with pre-approvals and written quotes.

Negative experience: Very professional and friendly but the dentist wasn't thorough enough for me. Use to my old dentist really doing a detailed exam not a 3 min looksy. The hygienist was pretty rough my goodness I couldn’t deal with that pain again. Plus I didn’t like the fact that the water was going down my back ! I wanted to like this place but unfortunately will not return.

Everyone is very nice and the office it is very clean and updated I like how you can watch TV instead of just looking at the ceiling while having your procedure done. They even work with you as far as out of pocket expenses. I will definitely be using them.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and Dr.'s!!! I had a root canal done, there wasn't any pain and they explained each step as they did it! I finally found the perfect Dentist!! And my root canal was almost half the cost of what my old Dentist was going to charge. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I left my last dentist about 2 years ago. Kept putting off choosing a new dentist. I chose Mont Belvieu Dental for me and my husband. Today I had a Cleaning and Exam, and a last minute filling. I was pleasantly surprised at the attention and care by the entire staff during my visit! Also, they have top notch MODERN equipment. I'm so happy with my choice, choosing this dental office! I highly recommend Mont Belvieu Dental!!

Negative experience: Two different employees, including the orthodontist, chose to chastise my 15 year old son for being late instead of speaking to me, the adult in control of being on time. We were actually early for his 11:30am appointment and I even checked in with the receptionist at 11:45 when he still had not been called back. I would also like to mention this is the 4th orthodontist to rotate through this office since my son originally got his braces put on.

Negative experience: I just left this office extremely upset with the girl that gives the prices and dental plans. She was very rude and pushy when I told her I could not pay in full today. Even tho I told her I would handle it the next day but I couldn’t pay $2000+ at that very moment. She was still very unprofessional and wanted to have this discussion at an open cubical. Again very unprofessional. We will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: This place was amazing. I had a deep cleaning performed and my last wisdom tooth pulled out. Everyone working there explained the process as I moved along through each step. Christi was amazing, she was very interactive, educational, and constantly stopped along the way to ask if I was ok or needed a break. Never had an experience like this at any doctors office or dental office in my life. I am looking forward to my check-up in 6 weeks.

Negative experience: The hygienist said I needed a deep cleaning which I have never been told before. My mouth hurt for 2 days after. The dentist, Dr. Clayton Yoder, was also very rough with my mouth and gums. He got my saliva all over my face and was leaning on my face and glasses to see in my mouth. He said how many cavities I had and I scheduled to come back and have them fixed. My mistake. I had a couple cavities between my teeth. Halfway into the 2nd filling he left me in the chair for 15 minutes with my mouth wide open with the hole already drilled. Then when he finally came back and finished, I feel like my three teeth are fused together. He was again leaning all over my face, and getting my saliva everywhere trying to work. Very sloppy. And also, he kept pulling the tools so hard against my lips that he ripped the corner of my lip. He didn’t shape them up, the floss has to be forced between my teeth and rips when trying. The fillings were left too high because he said, well we can’t make it the same as it was. Obviously… but they were still left way too high and caused me pain. Will not be back. Gave two stars because the front staff was very nice and I didn’t have wait long.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible customer service. I just had X-rays done last week at a dentist down the road. They want to use some lame excuse that they can’t read the X-rays (without even trying) and wanted to bill me (and my insurance) again, for the same X-rays. I was telling the lady that I’m not going to pay for the same thing twice in the same week, as that would be stupid (of me). This dude, a “doctor”, not even important enough to be on the company website, comes aggressively storming towards the desk like he’s trying to intimidate me, mind you I didn’t yell or curse, but simply stating my opinion on the matter. I said “what?”, to which he takes immediate offense and orders me out of the building, at threat of calling the cops. Way to diffuse the situation doc. I can tell why your representative had such a sarcastic mannerism in our discussion.

Positive experience: Professional attitude. Friendly staff. Clean environment. Close to home. Always a new smiling face. Convenient location in a big shopping center. Check-in was a problem earlier in the year, when our insurance changed. The dental office failed to verify and call me about any insurance issues prior to my visit. You have to verify your appointment 1 week in advance, or they will cancel it for you. It wasted my morning, and I had confirmed my appointment and gave them the insurance info at 1 week in advance. I left without my regular checkup. The narrow parking area does get crowded and backing out is difficult at times. Best to back up into a parking spot in front of dentaloffice.f I really don't like their Big screen TV over the examine chair, but they will turn them off and push aside upon request. Their services are too fast to get you to watch much anyway. They are fast to serve their patients. Maybe too fast? I did return. An old tooth hurts, a little, whenever I am eating. They did a number of Xrays and said my tooth is good. The dentist did not poke nor looked at my teeth. The cleaning was fast. I really hate pain, but my mouth is sensitive and always hurts and bleeds for dentists. I got out in an hour. I went in yesterday, 6-months exam, again insurance problem, not their fault. My insurance card is current, but was rejected. While the receptist called the company, and got the problem fixed, some little child was shrieking during their visit. That reminded me of myself many decades ago. The child finally did get quiet. This visit: a new dentist and new dental hygenist. There was a lot of Pain and lots of bleeding. My gums are all swollen with bruising. The people there are nice. I know it will hurt, a little. This visit was 2 hours.

Fantastic experience: Our whole family (kids currently ranging from 2 to 13) has been seeing Mont Belvieu Dental & Orthodontics for years, and we absolutely love them! The staff is incredible—so accommodating of my work-from-home schedule and completely understanding when I'm trying to manage all the kids while bouncing between rooms. Highly recommend this practice for family care!

Fantastic experience: My seven year old and I both went for our routine cleanings and had an amazing experience. My daughter has never been able to sit through a cleaning ever, but was able to comfortably get her cleaning done from start to finish with no issues. I also had a great experience myself. Definitely choose this place for all of your dental needs!

Negative experience: Cancellation policy is greedy. I'm not risking half the treatment cost amount as a deposit for treatment. If you miss your appointment without a 24 hours notice, they will keep your money. Not $50. The whole deposit. When asked what if extenuating circumstances occur? Like I get into an accident. They responded that they wouldn't keep the deposit. However, the policy doesn't state that from what I can gather. They can show discretion is what I assume they meant. Which means even they know the policy is bad. I'll go somewhere else. I've been going here since 2020. Not happy.

Negative experience: Waited 2 hours did not get a treatmebt plan. Called and have two insurances and want me to pay upfront without verifying what the insurances pay. My family will be taking our business elsewhere.

Positive experience: Clean, and very kind staff. Scheduling my appointment and getting insurance confirmed over the phone was quick and simple, and the front desk had clear instructions. Arrived 10 minutes prior to appointment for my 4yo son, but unfortunately we waited 45 minutes to be seen. I believe our appointment was delayed by a walk-in emergency, so I understand things happen. Cleaning and x-rays were quick and thorough. We've only visited designated pediatric offices, but it was not too different in process. I would say the office is geared more towards adults, or they were unprepared to have a child patient since the tech offered to turn on a show but forgot. After the cleaning, we waited another 30 minutes for the Dentist to review the cleaning and X-rays. I was unprepared for this appointment to take 1hr and 30 minutes, but again, I do think the office is geared more towards adults, and they may not be as sensitive to a longer process. We hope to have an easier appointment in March, we booked in the afternoon, maybe it will be less crowded that an 8:30a appointment.

Negative experience: These people are only in business to make money and do not care about you! My son went in because he chipped his tooth and they immediately wanted to do a root canal$$$! We decided to get a second opinion and turns out the tooth is perfectly fine and looks back to normal with a small cosmetic fix. My friends and family will not be going here any longer and hopefully this post will help others in the future!

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency and they were able to see me the same day and get a treatment plan in place. I am anxious when I go to the dentist and they were all very nice and explained everything step by step which helped me.

Positive experience: It took 4 months to get half my teeth cleaned. The office visit was timely and efficient. The young lady who assisted was excellent. The doctor and hygienist did a great job.

Negative experience: Family of 4.The only issue I have is the billing. I have good dental insurance and always receive an out of pocket estimate but every time I owe more than the out of pocket estimate. They are in network but it seems I still owe moneyeven after 100% covered 6 month check ups visits. I just received a $500+ bill will no explanation. Maybe I just dont understand or I have just luck up with my other dentist

Fantastic experience: The staff was friendly. I had an old filling fall out. They fixed me up and had me out of the door in no time.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at this dental office. From the start, there was a serious lack of transparency with pricing. The front desk was disorganized, unhelpful, and seemed overwhelmed by how overscheduled the office was. Appointments felt rushed and chaotic, with little regard for patient comfort or clarity. I expect basic professionalism when it comes to both communication and care, and this office fell short on both.

Fantastic experience: My kiddo had to handle this visit solo. My FIL was my driver and adult! She was very comfortable and had a great visit. The staff is so helpful and polite. I was not a bit worried!

Negative experience: Went in for my 6 month teeth cleaning. Told 3 different people about the pain i was having in my jaw. Dentist came in before my cleaning and said my teeth looked great. He looked at them for maybe 10 seconds. Then the hygienist told me I needed a deep cleaning. It's my first time here. I go every 6 months and my general teeth cleaning is very minimal. The hygienist always tells me my teeth were in great shape. Also the dentist said nothing about my Jaw even though I told him. He just said ok. I won't be back.

Fantastic experience: They have seen us 3 times in one day. And they were patient and kind and understanding because out kiddo kept having an orthodontic problem. They have even stayed after normal hours to fix him, yet again!! I will always recommend coming to orthodontic and dental care because the entire staff is FANTASTIC!!

Negative experience: A lady in there named Elizabeth is really rude. Her tone is condescending and disrespectful. With that attitude, she shouldn't be behind a desk working in customer service. I used to give 5 stars because my hygienist was great, but this lady's tone just irks me.

Negative experience: Went in for tooth pain, had X-rays done, and all Dr. Yodel could tell us was “um, yeah, it’s difficult to say.” The assistant was more helpful after the doctor left offering information on over-the-counter toothpaste and mouthwash changes that we could make, answered our questions on numbing medications, and offered orthodontic appointment information..
