Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Crawford for over 30 years, including since I moved an hour away, to central Utah. He is more than worth the drive every time. He's services and superior; staff are efficient and knowledgeable while remaining friendly and reassuring. I ALWAYS hear friendly banter in the background, a sign of a content, well-treated staff. Donna has always helped get the maximum benefit from our insurance and they are great to work me in if I have an emergency. Dr. Crawford gets my highest recommendation, for ability, expertise, patience and overall competency as well as for his stellar bedside manner. I don't plan on ever switching unless I had to, because he has all I would ever want in a dentist and as an all-around good guy!!

Fantastic experience: Got a cavity crown replaced and it was super easy to book my appointment and then get a temporary crown while my new one got made. The front desk workers are super nice as well as the dental assistants were so friendly. Dr Leishman was a phenomenal dentist and I didn’t even feel the needle when my gums got numbed. He was very friendly and very personable (and he’s also very handsome and honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if he is an ex navy seal that’s the kind of vibe he gives off)! Easiest 5 star

Fantastic experience: The staff members at Crawford Leishman are always happy in their work place. Dr. Birrell is friendly and takes time to explain any recommended care. After having a crown done, he called me at home to check on me and gave me his cell phone in case I needed it. Great practice in a pleasant office. It’s “almost” fun to go to the dentist.

Negative experience: It was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I really never leave reviews, but if anything comes of this I hope no one has to experience what we did. I wish I could properly put into words everything that has happened. And it wasn’t just one day of bad experiences, it has been the past couple months, but Friday was the last straw. The lady at the front desk with short grey hair is one of the most soulless ignorant people I’ve ever met. She didn’t listen at any point and I tried several different time on different days and this entire mess would’ve been avoided. I wish I never stepped foot back there again as it will change our families lives forever. And my tooth like I’ve said all along still hurts and is worse than when I first came in needing a root canal. 7 plus years ago Dr. Leishman was the best dentist around. When we had to deal with life altering and unexpected health complications with husband stroking, multiple brain surgeries, csf leaks, daily seizures, losing ability to be left alone, drive, work. We lost a lot. Suffering from various autoimmune diseases, and many other things myself. Money is extremely tight. That being an understatement. I came with pain to dr leishman, was bounced to go to another place to pay more money for 3D imaging, during the time had to go to an oral surgeon for a tooth pulled. Explained insurance changes end of November and will start covering more dental work and also that I had multiple temporaries that ive had for a year plus due to our financial situation. I explained that I needed the infection gone, but we couldn’t afford to pay thousands more dollars at a time for permanents when i need other permanents from der work than this new root canals done. where we’ve maxed our credit card with dental and medical and basic necessities become an issue and our kids come above all. Obviously there was nonunderstanding or respect regarding all these concerns. Front desk lady and all was very decietful. Even in ways i could prove. Dr. leishman use to call after dental work years ago. Never heard from him after the root canals, temporary broke on my way home in the car, even gas money we can’t just afford to drive back and forth, it was all about the money. The lady at the front desk with grey short hair and not just now but always was cold, didn’t listen, or communicate well, she had zero sympathy let alone being able to have empathy. I’d love to know her reaction to herself if she could walk five minutes in our shoes. There are no words to describe how hurt we are. Not only emotionally, physically, and financially. I know this changes nothing for them. But if it saves anyone some day from going through any of the same horrible experiences I did, then it is something. This doesn’t come close to explaining all that happened, but it is hard to put it into words especially because this will change our lives permanently and it sucks when it’s the kids this time of year too. Especially when I had been in pain for a long time and still things hadn’t healed. There was ZERO compassion and clearly she didn’t listen the multiple times I’d explained the situation months prior. Trying to avoid all of this. I will say the hygienist was amazing and so kind and I appreciate it more than she will ever know and hope she is blessed for her kindness. I would give her five stars!! However, I wish I could rewind time and saved myself and my family from this entire awful experience.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Dr. Leishman and hygienist Kim for my dental care, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Dr. Leishman is extremely professional, gentle, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. Kim is amazing—thorough, friendly, and always makes cleanings so comfortable. The entire team, April is welcoming and efficient, and the office has such a calm, positive atmosphere. I always leave with a healthy smile and peace of mind knowing I’m in great hands. Fantastic experience: As always I had ac most wonderful experience one of my crowns had chipped. I could not afford a totally new crown so a more conservative repair was made per my request. I am thrilled with the repair. The staff made me feel like I was an old friend. It was my birthday which they recognized by singing the traditional birthday song and giving me a bunch of balloons.

Positive experience: Great experience overall with the cleaning, but I would prefer to be offered a lead apron for the X-rays, and the smell in the waiting room and the hall walking to the room was horrendous. Please ditch the air fresheners, they stink! All they do is mask bad smells or make them worse. Also they can make sensitive people sick or overstimulated, which is not fun. And please ditch those pink gloves, they’re smelly too, and when they’re right by your face it’s overwhelming! Use nitrile, there’s literally no smell.

He even called for a follow up later that day to make sure my bite was good and that I was happy with the result, which I was. I would definitely recommend him and the office in general.

After any procedure he calls that night to check up to make sure we’re doing good. The staff is great. I love Tracey, she’s the sweetest hygienist. They’re all so friendly! Negative experience: I (40f) have gone to Crawford Leishman since just after high school and it had always been a positive experience, especially as I have had a negative experience with dentists as a child. My last few visits, however, have been less than stellar, from less than ideal results from dental procedures to questionable billing practices. Today, I was supposed to go in and get my final bridge installed, but was informed that I would not be able to do that until I was brought to current from the temporary placement, which is more than fair, but I had hoped for a little leeway since I get paid tomorrow. No such luck, but that's fine. After I reschedule my appointment, I am then informed that on top of my due and owing I must also pay the "patient's portion" of my bridge procedure even before it is run through my insurance, meaning that I must pay approximately $1800 tomorrow, comprising of my current bill and the *potential* remainder after my insurance is contacted. For most of the Crawford Leishman demographic and current clientele, $1800 might be like a $10 banana, but it is a significant amount for me, even with a career as a technical writer. As for quality, 4 weeks ago, I had an extraction and the temporary bridge placed. When I left, I found that one of my natural teeth had been filed down to a fine, brittle edge with a sharp notch in the side. It is painful, but I decided to stick it out until today's appointment and make sure it is taken care of. With the events of today, I half wonder if this procedural "misstep" is actually a form of extortion or even a small stakes hostage taking, with my mouth comfort being the hostage. If so, this is malpractice by at least one of the Crawford Leishman doctors. I have become less than impressed with Crawford Leishman (a shame because Crawford retired some years ago and has nothing to do with any current problematic behavior of his colleagues) as the doctors hide behind their reception and techs to do their "dirty work," and their cowardly smiles. These men are good dentists, I won't say otherwise, but there are other good dentists and many who won't passive-aggressively (at best) work to alienate a portion of their patients, especially those who aren't in a higher tax bracket.

Fantastic experience: Dr Leishman and his staff are the best! They are so helpful and are so professional. They attend to and address all your concerns when it comes to your dental health while making you feel like everything is going to be ok! I whole heartedly would recommend them to everyone!

Negative experience: Review posted under an alias. In brief, the hygienists are fantastic, professional, thorough, and kind; unfortunately, Dr. Birrell and the billing staff fell far short of meeting the minimum expectations for care. Dr. Birrell left me feeling uninformed, unimportant, ignored, and intimidated. A combination that pressured me into making an expensive decision without the promised and undelivered opportunity to ask questions. The woman who was doing billing made me feel stupid and poor while I tried to make sense of what was happening, all at a volume that gave me no privacy from the embarrassment I was subjected to. I left this office feeling scammed. The billing process was unclear to the extent of deliberate obfuscation, and I felt rushed into making a decision without being given the full picture. I was sold a $400 mouth guard, but the way it was presented made it sound like this was the only step before surgical intervention. Only after I bought the mouthguard did I learn that cheaper options would've worked just fine and that what I bought was an optional upgrade to a $5 version. All this said, I still have the mouthguard, and it is helping with my jaw pain. Perhaps they are the Spirit Airlines of dentistry.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Leishman is both professional and warm and caring. He and his staff are genuinely concerned with your experience. He called the evenings of an emergency treatment to see how I was doing!!! And when I ran to to his dental assistant a few days later she remembered me and checked to make sure I had not been in pain. Exceptional!!!

From the moment I set up the appointment until I was finished with my initial consultation, I felt like I was their only patient. They were attentive, kind, patient, thorough and professional. Fantastic experience: My dad has always been my family’s dentist, so when he retired after 49 years, finding a replacement was quite daunting. Luckily we found this fabulous office. The space is lovely and the front desk ladies are always friendly. We have seen a few of the hygienists and dentists, and our interactions with them are always positive. We particularly love Andrea (hygienist) and Dr. Birrell, who my son might even like more than his grandfather! We drive a little further than we would like for twice a year visits, but the staff is worth it.

He also explained that I needed more specialized care and gave me referrals to specialists who could help me resolve my more complicated issues. The people in the office were concerned about the problems I had with a tooth that required work that needed to be referred to a surgeon. They arranged for the necessary treatment right away. Concern was for my care whatever was required. This was often not the case with dentists I have seen in the past.
