Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Refine Dentistry enough!! I’ve always HATED the dentist, so much that I’d avoid ever going. I just moved to the area and went to this office for a cleaning. It was the BEST experience I’ve ever had at a dentist from the second I walked in the building. The atmosphere is so welcoming, and the staff is so nice. This was the first positive experience I’ve ever had at a dentist and actually looking forward to going back for my next cleaning.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lam and his staff provide customers with the most professional and pleasant experience you'll EVER have. This place has state-of-the-art equipment to make procedures very tolerable. If you're feeling anxious about a procedure, I would go there. This place is the best.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for someone to fix my cross bite, I visited 3 dentists for an opinion. The first recommended surgery, the second recommended Invisalign but could not explain how it would fix the issue. Dr Lam was the only one who thoroughly explained how he would fix it and it actually worked. His office is also very luxurious and clean. Highly recommend for Invisalign!

They were incredibly informative and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel really comfortable throughout the appointment, even if it was just a cleaning They were also super thoughtful! Even offered Vaseline for my lips during the cleaning (such a small detail, but it made a big difference!). I truly appreciated the extra care and kindness. Positive experience: My experience at Refine Dentistry was pleasant to say the least. This was made possible due to the amazing staff & Dr. Lam. Everything from getting my oral examination to transitioning into treatment was smooth. I actually did not know if Dr. Lam was going to initiate treatment since he is a busy dentist, if you didn’t know. Dr. Lam managed to squeeze me in for treatment & it was greatly appreciated! Once the treatment began, I was distracted as they choose a random Netflix film since whenever they asked if I’d like to view something in particular, I responded with “I don’t know,” like always when it’s about a film to watch on Netflix Lol. Dr. Lam proceeded with treatment & it was over before I knew it. I will be returning back for further treatment which I am looking forward too! I’d definitely would recommend anyone to Refine Dentistry as Dr. Richard Lam offers vast knowledge & experience in his field.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely the best experience I've ever had at the dentist. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. They give you a lovely goodie bag after your teeth cleaning in a cute gift bag with tissue paper. My dental hygienist, Victoria, was absolutely phenomenal and efficient. I had to go back for a cavity filling the following week, and even though I had four cavities, and needed X-rays, I was in and out in under 30 minutes - including check-in and checkout. It wasn't rushed either. The dentist took plenty of time to make sure my bite felt right before he finished. It was, simply, extremely efficient and effective. As someone who's always hated going to the dentist since I was little (if the 4 cavities weren't a clue- I don't go often), I have to say I absolutely loved my experience. The best part is they give you a warm towel afterwards to wipe your mouth, and they even take considerations like Vaseline for your lips when they know your mouth is going to get dry. I'm actually looking forward to my 6 month cleaning (not something I ever thought I'd say) and my husband is switching over to them as well! I would leave six stars if I could

Fantastic experience: 2025 back again! Dr. Lam is thorough, careful and professional! The male dental assistant is courteous! And the toilet is clean! 2023 Convenient location! It’s off West Airport across from Walmart. It’s between Eye Lab n Amegy Bank! Easy to find. Nice modern office! Dr. Lam is a fine dentist! Staff are friendly n professional. Had exam, x-rays, cleaning, one filling, n teeth whitening. Also since we don’t have dental insurance, I joined their member discount group

Eunice, the hygienist, was kind, competent, and constantly made sure I was comfortable. Dr. Lam was efficient and straightforward, but not in a rushed or rude way - he heard my concerns and was able to give valuable input in a short period of time. Everyone at the front desk was amiable and welcoming, and the atmosphere looks and smells clean. I felt so “posh” coming here, being able to watch Netflix during my cleaning, being offered a warm towel at the end and a toothbrush engraved with the company’s name! Fantastic experience: First time getting a cleaning here. Everything went smoothly. The front desk lady was welcoming. The dental hygienist took at least an hour to thoroughly clean my teeth compared to other dental clinics that only take 15-20 minutes. She made sure I was comfortable through the whole process. The dentist dropped by to check for any cavities and gave aftercare instrunctions. It was also nice to have Netflix on as my teeth were getting cleaned.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by their friendly and professional staff. The office is modern, clean, and equipped with the latest technology, which really put me at ease. I was fortunate to have Unique as my hygienist, and she was absolutely incredible. She was not only kind and professional but also incredibly thorough in explaining my X-rays and the results of my exams. What stood out the most was how gentle Unique was during the cleaning. Having had terrible experiences at my previous dentist, I was so relieved to not flinch once throughout the entire cleaning! She also applied lip balm on me before the cleaning to prevent my lips from getting dry, which was a luxurious feel and so smart; I’ve never had that done at any other dentist place. It was by far the most comfortable I’ve ever felt at the dentist. You can tell they genuinely care about patient comfort and quality of care. To top it off, I got to pick what I wanted to watch on Netflix during the cleaning, which made the experience even more relaxing. Unique also took the time to answer all of my questions and gave me a heads-up about potential future issues with my teeth, assuring me they would keep an eye on it moving forward. And as a nice little touch, they even sent me home with a thoughtful goody bag! This was easily a 12/10 experience. If you’re looking for a dental office that truly cares about their patients and provides exceptional care, I highly recommend Refine Dentistry. It really is a fantastic place!

Fantastic experience: 12/2024 Update: I’ve still been visiting this office for all dental work! Dr. Lam and the staff truly go above and beyond in making the dental experience enjoyable. The whole process was seamless and they truly care about your comfort every step of the way! I plan on continuing to visit this office for all future dental work! I haven't visited the dentist in a while so decided to swing by here. I was not disappointed at all. From walking in, you are met with smiles and a very friendly staff. They assisted me and answered all questions I had with paperwork. Afterwards, I met Dr. Lam and was blown away by the layout of the rooms and the extent to which they make you feel comfortable. The TVs allow you to watch almost anything you desire and it doesn't take away from the relationship you build with the dentist or staff. Furthermore, he talked to me through everything that was going to happen and made me feel even more comfortable. I am very impressed with everything about this new office!

Fantastic experience: I bring my 2 kids here all the time. Great with kids. I remember being scared of going to the dentist as a kid, but my kids do not have that fear going to Refine. Clean, modern, and efficient. My wife And I also have great experiences. Dental appointments are not suppose to be enjoyable, but this is different. You feel great leaving the office.

Fantastic experience: I received very professional treatment (a dental cleaning by Unique and full dental exam by Dr.Lam). I love how accommodating and organized everyone in the clinic is. The process of getting started at refine dentistry is very smooth and organized.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a deep teeth cleaning, I had a ton of hard plaque build up. It was overall a very good experience, the staff was thorough in taking pictures and explaining what needed to be done. They used numbing gel on my gums so there was actually very little discomfort. There were TVs overhead and at eye level so I was able to watch Netflix while my teeth were being cleaned. Feel very comfortable with their care, will definitely be back for cleanings and other dental work.

Fantastic experience: Refine Dentistry treated me with much care and paid special attention to my areas of concern. I appreciate the customer service, the tv above my head while they cleaned my teeth, the high quality of pictures, the time and effort they put into keeping the restroom clean, and the numbing cream (I hate shots for anesthesia and I’m happy I didn’t have to get one).

I absolutely hate needles and shots but I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed along with a few fillings. Dr. Lam was gentle and made me feel at ease. He was very thorough when working on my teeth and explained what a bad boy I’ve been by not flossing. I’m even more motivated to floss my teeth now! Thanks for a wonderful experience, can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is so kind, caring, and friendly! After I checked in, I was brought in immediately. You get to pick what you want to watch while your teeth are cleaned. Victoria was super sweet, kept me in the loop through the whole cleaning, and was very attentive. They have sunglasses and chapstick if you need it, and they even offer a warm face towel at the end of the cleaning. Had a really great experience overall, far greater than any of the dentists in the past, highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lam is very easy going. Took care of me and my family. His team is always friendly towards the kiddos! Had my dental implant done by him as well. His dental office also has a modern look that is welcoming. Very professional. 10/10 highly recommend.

Ive been to plenty around Houston and after being at refine dentistry, I believe I’ve found my official dentist. Super awesome. They were able to help me out right away, explained every single thing to me from process to treatment plan. I am so happy I’ve found them and gave them a try.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Refine Dentistry. The energy and atmosphere as I walked in was very welcoming and warming. Unique was great in making me feel at ease with the x-ray equipment they have for dental imaging. There were questions and concerns i had brought up and Unique responded in a way I was able to understand. I appreciated the explanation she gave in showing the x-ray images of my teeth. Snap shot images were also taken - pretty cool to see my own teeth from the pictures they took since I don’t get good photos of what my teeth look like when I take pictures with my iPhone lol :) Dr. Lam was concise in what I needed to get done to resolve the areas that were sensitive to cold water and sweets. Fantastic experience: Let me start by saying if you are looking for a new Dentist with an AMAZING Staff, Refine Dentistry is doing it right. On arrival I was greeted warmly by the ladies at the front desk and put at ease about my first visit here. I understand for most people that the Dentist isn’t their favorite appointment of the year (lol) but I will say with Unique as my Hygienist she was warm, kind, and gentle as she guided me through my appointment. I have never had a better cleaning in my life. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Unique. Overall I would say Dr. Lam and his team are great. I can’t wait to see them again for my follow up appointments!

Fantastic experience: I have an huge anxiety issue due to beyond horrible pasts experiences with previous dental offices. The experience I have here from the moment I walk in is amazing, great patient care and customer service. Unique the dental hygienist is beyond amazing, she keeps you informed as she does her work, while also checking in on you. Dr. Lam is a blessing, I had work that had to be done and when I tell you I didn’t even feel pain this was my first time in years that I continue to come back to a dentist because of the quality of care I receive. Thank you to the front office staff as well for always being so kind and welcoming. Also I really enjoy the cleanliness of the office and the TVs while getting work done, it’s a great distraction. I’ll keep driving here for my care (1 hour) it’s definitely worth it

Positive experience: My first appointment, Fri, 3/15, was with Unique (dental hygienist) and Dr. Vu, dentist filling in for Dr. Lam. My overall experience was positive. Scheduling the appointment was easy. I filled an online form and got a call on the same day. They worked with me to schedule an appointment on the exact date I wanted. I had to end the call for a work meeting so told them I would email them the information which they understood. I think best practice would've been to confirm receipt of the dental policy information. I checked with them a day or 2 before my appointment though and they responded at that time that nothing was needed. On the actual day of appointment, all was smooth. I checked in and talked to the front desk staff for a little then got called in by Unique (dental hygienist). Unique was warm and caring throughout the X-Ray and cleaning process. She took the X-Rays and went over them to me. I thought she was thorough in the explanation compared to the other dental office I went to. I actually spoke with a dentist at the other office also. So, I was surprised that Unique went into depth of details for the imaging. The atmosphere of the exam room is kind of spa-like but also had 3 TVs. One on the ceiling (surprise!!). Cleaning was good. You have an option to watch Netflix if you wish. Throughout the cleaning, Unique checked on me to make sure I was good and I would give her a thumbs up. My mouth feels refreshed. After the cleaning, she asked if I needed anything else and gave me my good bag. Then, let me know that the temp dentist, Dr. Vu, would come in to speak to me about my X-Rays. Dr. Vu was nice and easy to speak with. I felt comfortable asking questions. She did not try to upsell me on any procedures. Only recommended getting consultation on my wisdom teeth since they are close to my molars. Overall, positive experience. Maybe I will see Dr. Lam next time if he isn't on vacation :P. My sister is also a dentist and recommended this dental office. I went to a different office on Sat, 3/9 and was super unhappy since they were upselling me and I didn't get my cleaning done during my 1st appointment (standard is 1st exam and cleaning all in 1 appointment).

Fantastic experience: Had my first visit here after my sis recommended it and it was a great experience. Everyone was very kind and helpful and it’s nice that while you’re getting your cleaning you can watch Netflix. Its great that a lot of thought has been put into making the dental visit more comfortable.

Fantastic experience: By far my favorite experience at the dentist! Dr. Lam removed my wisdom teeth last year and I’m so grateful to him for that! Location is great, the office is beautiful and the staff is always super nice, including the dental assistants. They know exactly who you are and remember things from previous conversations you’ve had with them. I will continue coming here for as long as I have teeth lol

Fantastic experience: As someone who hated going to the dentist when I was younger, particularly rough or rude ones, this office will not disappoint. I’m grateful for the informative x-rays, thoughtful and polite employees, and gentle/quick care while getting my teeth cleaned & cavities filled by the dentist. Thank you! They also offer their own dental in house plan if you have no dental insurance.
