Fantastic experience: The team at Dental Implant and Oral Surgery Specialists of Iowa in Hiawatha is excellent! Dr. William Morio did a wonderful job with the extraction of two of my teeth (a wisdom tooth and the molar directly in front of the wisdom tooth). I asked for IV sedation because of anxiety and trauma from oral surgery years ago. It was perfect! The doctor and nurses were very professional and supportive. They sent me home with all supplies needed to aid in my healing. I had no issues at all, and I healed up perfectly. I will definitely return to them if I ever need any further treatment, and I certainly recommend them to anyone in need of an oral surgeon.

The extraction itself was painless and efficient, and I love that they offer PRF and Ozone therapy. I had no pain afterwards and healed quickly, which I credit to both Dr. Morio’s skill as an oral surgeon and the PRF/Ozone applications. What really stood out to me was Dr. Morio personally calling me the next day to check on how I was doing. That was unexpected and so greatly appreciated. The combination of advanced services they provide and the genuine care they show their patients truly sets them apart from the rest.

Positive experience: The assistant was the most pleasing part of the experience (Kylie - not sure of spelling). The front desk folks were rather indifferent and the doctor, though efficient, certainly lacked friendliness, and is in need of a more pleasant "bedside manner." On checking out, the gal was quite nice. All in all, I'm not sure I'll return to this one if I need another extraction one day.

There were several phone calls between the staff and myself before my actual visit and they were all very gracious and pleasant. I told them so more than once. The day of my appointment went very well, no stress at all, really. I don't remember much of the procedure. The two women that prepared me for what was about to happen were excellent. Very personable. My recovery went as I was told that it would and by the next day I was nearly good as new. Thanks to all who made the extraction very easy. If I have to do it again, I'd come there!

Fantastic experience: Decided to have a tooth extracted due to an old crown falling off a few times. Decided to do local anesthesia. Dr. Will Morio came in the room, shared with me what the plan was. I let him know I am pretty hard to numb up. A little pinch to get the numbing med in, and after about 15 min I felt pretty numb. When Dr. Morio started with the first instrument, I felt nothing. The next instrument he put in for a little longer. When he took it out, I wanted to speak up and ask, “Can you tell me when the tooth is out so I know?” But, he didn’t put the instrument back in or pick up another one. He was done. The tooth was already removed. Wonderful job. The staff are excellent and friendly. Very impressed and the cost was spot on.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Morio is Highly skilled and very professional at what he does. I've had a number of interactions because of my dental issues and he's always done an excellent job. I would recommend him to anybody who needs any type of implant surgery.

He comes in shakes your hand, explains what he is going to do, and genuinely answers any questions you may have. These guys are the real deal and the only one I trust with any type of oral surgery.

Fantastic experience: All in all it was a good experience. I mean is dental work ever a great experience? Had a tooth that broke away down to the gum. Thought Dr. would have to dig to get it out. He was able to get it without much difficulty and no pain. And in about five minutes! Took longer for the Novocain to take affect. Everyone there were very knowledgeable in their job. And very confident.

Fantastic experience: I have had to have oral surgery several times and most recently dental implants. The doctors, nurses, billing, receptionist here are all A+++! The doctor even calls you themself the next day to check on you. Surgeries have always went well with an easy recovery. There aren't enough words to say how wonderful they are. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I scheduled my appointment nearly a full month out and when I got there the had my fill out the paperwork and then go over billing. No one had told me ahead of time that it was going to cost $800 and that my insurance wouldn’t cover all of it. Then they had the audacity to ask me if I was told ahead of time. If I was told ahead of time I would’ve had the money or not have scheduled. So now I still have my wisdom teeth and a painful mouth cause no one informed me that my insurance didn’t cover it.

The nurses calmed my nervousness along with the other assistants. Dr Wil Morio calls me the next day to see how I was feeling. What!! Who does that anymore?? Fantastic experience: I walked in with excruciating pain and all I was scheduled for was a consultation. I explained how much pain I was in with my cracked tooth and they immediately took care of me and extracted the tooth and also did bone grafting.... all wothout even having an appointment for that! I can't say enough about the amazing staff. Very caring and understanding. I even had a follow-up phone call from the oral surgeon. They truly do care and the staff is so compassionate.
