Fantastic experience: Dr Newman has now performed tongue tie procedures on four of my kids. The first two were treated elsewhere and required additional treatment, which Dr Newman did, and turned out quite well after he worked his magic. With our last two babies, we drove 550 miles onto separate occasions (2y apart) to see Dr Newman right away, and it was worth every second of the coordination, planning, and drive. Dr Newman is absolutely incredible with both his skill and his bedside manner. On top of it, his staff is friendly and good at their roles as well. I absolutely recommend them!

Fantastic experience: I unfortunately had a dental emergency. Dr. Mikel was able to get me in quickly and his assistant Jessica was able to make me a temporary crown.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Newman has worked with me to get the right fit in my mouth guard for sleep apnea,The first one didn't fit securely on the bottom so he sent it back to the company and a new one was mafe.It fits great now and my sleep is so much more comfortable with this new one.I found dr. Matric so pleasant to work with,would highly recommend him!

Fantastic experience: Drove 2 hours there because Newman accepts our insurance. Was a great experience! Our newborn needed frenectomy (tongue-tie) surgery & after much searching, we finally found Newman & got our baby’s procedure done at 2 months. We submitted an online consultation, then drove there & met with Dr. Mikel Newman; he examined our baby & then walked us through the procedure. The surgery was over very quickly, & thankfully my baby calmed down very right when I held her. We are so thankful for Newman’s help!

Had a great experience with Dr Mikel Newman and all the staff at Newman Family Dental. I brought my newborn son in to have his lip and tongue ties evaluated. Dr Newman was thorough and efficient, and explained everything he was seeing to me. After doing an evaluation and listening to what I shared about our feeding struggles, he recommended the procedure, explained pros and cons, and answered all my questions. My son is healing well so far. The staff were so kind when I was crying and emotional. I would definitely recommend Dr Newman and am thankful I could trust my sweet boy to his care.

Negative experience: I had an FSSA representative guarantee over the phone with the front desk staff payment for a necessary procedure for my newborn. I was willing to sign any contract stating that if my insurance failed to pay, I would. They would not budge on the nearly $500 fee, which if I could afford in the first place, would disqualify me for Medicaid. I would have understood this, but the tone of the two ladies at the front desk who handle the financial side of things was utterly disrespectful and condescending. There was absolutely no compassion from anyone besides the young techs who gave my two older children suckers as I sobbed and pleaded with these women. As I was sitting in my car afterward, attempting to nurse, the doctor who they consulted and confirmed could not do it without upfront payment walked to his car past mine, purposefully avoiding eye contact. I did end up finding a dentist who could do it for $100, with that hundred dollars being refunded to us once Medicaid pays. They were more than happy to work with me and my baby has finally, thankfully, received the care he needs. All the trouble described by the staff as an excuse for why my son was refused care for lack of an upfront payment, didn't seem to be an issue there. Disappointing to see profits put over people, especially the most vulnerable and helpless among us. We have had issues with feeding and had to supplement. I have no idea if the delay and the stress the staff and owners at Newman family dentistry caused us contributed to us having more issues, but it certainly didn't help. I will never refer anyone here, let alone mothers of newborns. Shame on every last one of you that had anything to do with that interaction.

Fantastic experience: Great consult with Dr. Marc and got a very thorough cleaning with the hygentist! She was funny, knowledgable, and didn’t hurt me. I have been to the Carmel office and westside office and both have a friendly staff.

They go over all the stretching with you in person but there is also a video to help you in the website which was very helpful! So far baby is healing up well!
