Fantastic experience: Dr Gierman and the staff are caring, compassionate, and concerned about your dental care and up keep. Dr Gierman is down to earth and honest on what your needs are to maintain your teeth. Both doctors and staff are the greatest!!!!!

After many years at Grove Dental, I told him that I feel that I have moved up significantly in my dental care, since moving to Glenbard Family Dental. They are professional, SO knowledgeable, educate me with every appointment, and have a detailed plan for my health care going forward. As well, their use of technology to show me exactly where my dental health is, and the progress we are making, is so helpful. The difference between my old corporate dental practice and this family owned practice has been amazing.

I always have Naven for my cleanings and he’s the absolute best of the best!!!!! Great taste in Netflix shows and fun conversation haha! But above all, he does the BEST cleanings and gives you direct advice on what you need to work on to keep things healthy. Dr Sweeney is always friendly. Nobody loves getting their teeth scraped (at least I don’t think so), but if you’re gonna do it, this is the place to make you feel right at home. Fantastic experience: I'm so glad I found Glenbard Family Dental. I got a very terrible experience at other dental clinic which was my first dental visit ever in the States. However, my experience at Glenbard was totally different. The dentists and the assistants were so gentle, professional, and friendly. They made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I had smooth fillings by Dr.Sweeny and teeth cleaning there. My last visit I had good experience with Navan. Fantastic experience: I haven't been to see a dentist for many years. I had many missing and broken teeth and I was worried that I would soon not be able to eat properly. I also never smiled where it would show my mouth filled with holes, and I always tried to laugh with my mouth closed. I thought that I would need complete uppers and lowers. When I called to make an appointment and was asked how long it had been since I had seen a dentist I was worried that they would tell me to look elsewhere. Dr Gierman agreed to see me and came in on her day off to see me. She and Michelle made me feel very comfortable and listened to my concerns. Dr.Gierman was able to come up with a plan that was better than replacing all my teeth and was also affordable for me with a better quality of life. I should have done this a long time ago. The entire staff is fantastic ! Give them a call , you'll be happy that you did.

What really stands out is how thoroughly he lays out all treatment options—what’s urgent, what can wait, what’s purely elective—and he never pushes or tries to upsell. The decision is always mine, and I feel genuinely respected. The office staff is kind and efficient, scheduling is easy, and the atmosphere is low-stress (huge for anxious patients like me). Fantastic experience: This review is about my first visit to GFD. I received a full set of X-Rays. I also received a complete examination and cleaning. A couple of problems were discovered which I made an appointment to correct. GFD is very concerned about me and they proved it. I made an appointment for my semi-annual cleaning after my initial visit and problem corrections. I received a very thorough and complet cleaning, another excellent visit.

Every time my family visited our old dentist they would recommend a new, expensive procedure (fillings, teeth extractions, fluoride, etc.) for things that no other dentist had ever said were issues. I’m so glad we made the switch to Glenbard Family Dental because my first appointment was easy, professional and they made reasonable recommendations about how to keep my teeth healthy between visits. Brooke, the hygienist, was thorough, friendly, and pain free! Dr. Gierman was delightful, as always, and also thorough and efficient. Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here for a few months now. For years I was petrified of going to the dentist. I had an emergency where I needed to see a dentist. Scheduling was super easy, and I got the treatment that I needed. I found out when I had my initial exam that I had other issues that needed fixing as well. The staff here is fantastic. I work later hours and they are flexible with their scheduling. The staff is very thorough in explaining their procedures and after care. I couldn’t ask for more in a dental practice. Keep up the great work. You guys are the best!

I was apprehensive starting over with a new dental practice but everyone from appointment scheduling person to the dental hygienist to the dentist put me at ease and was pleasant. Like many, I'm not a fan of going to the dentist and my appointment went very well and was 'painless.'

Positive experience: I really like Dr Matthew Sweeney. I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, and he is compassionate and gentle. I had to re-fill out all my intake paperwork at my visit today (already annoying), and they sent it the in the morning of the appointment. Also, I had to sign off on a $100 cancellation fee if I don’t cancel my appointment 48 hours before the appointment. I think that’s crazy! Its like they think we have nothing else to do but drop everything for their demands. Additionally, I had better start getting text reminders about my appointment every week for three weeks before my appointment for that kind of penalty, since they have no problem sending text messages to ask that I give them a rating here.

Negative experience: After much difficulty that I had gotten appointment with Dr. Gierman, I was made to wait for almost an hour and then was told that Dr. Gierman was not available right then. If I would be willing to wait for some more time, then she would come examine my teeth. After already waiting for so long beyond my appointment time , I preferred to leave after the hygienist cleaned my teeth( me being a working person too). Very disappointed

Fantastic experience: Hands down, the best office I've ever been to. I've been searching for a new dentist for the past 3 weeks or so, and it's safe to safe, THIS is now my go-to dentist. Went in for a consultation today, with the possibility of getting my wisdom teeth out. Everything checked out and they got me taken care of right there on the spot.
