Fantastic experience: Dr. Jungermann is the best in the business. I am not a fan of root canals as a general rule, but the Doctor did an excellent job. Aside from being extremely competent, she communicates well, creates a very relaxed atmosphere, and works in close concert with her assistant. Very impressive. End result: a very professional and successful outcome. I give her my highest recommendation.

Fantastic experience: Root canals are never fun, but Dr. Jungermann and her staff made it as positive an experience as possible. Except for 1-2 of the initial shots, there was no pain at all, and the procedure was conducted quickly and efficiently, with the doctor afterwards explaining thoroughly the aftercare and follow-up instructions. Even the office staff was well-informed and pleasant to deal with, and the intake and billing were efficiently conducted. I highly recommend Mid-Florida Endodontics and would definitely use their services again in the future if needed.

Positive experience: The service was fast, good quality and efficient. The result was good, non of it was covered by Medicare or my Humana insurance so the Cash Price was a bit painful. $170 for about a 1/3 worth of work.

Fantastic experience: I have had 3-4 root canal procedures in my 70 years, all of which were nightmarish and tested my fortitude to continue to conclusion. Today Dr. Jungermann had a really calm manner, explained each step as we went, and made the experience seem easy (I don’t use that word lightly!). She in- sured i was numb enough and went about the business with calm efficiency. It’s 7 hours later and i feel pretty good. would I recommend Dr. Jungermann? Without hesitation!

Fantastic experience: I received three referrals from my dentist for a root canal. I called all three to verify that they accepted my insurance and checked their pricing. The first two only advised that they received my insurance, and both told me the root canal would be $1,399.00, then rushed to get me scheduled and off the telephone. Although MID-FLORIDA was an hour away, I saved them for last because they were over an hour away. I'm glad I did! First and foremost, the office staff went above and beyond. They not only verified that they accepted my dental insurance, but they took the extra step to verify my plan information and quoted the actual cost of the root canal and what my co-payment would be. That extra 5 minutes on the phone saved me 50%, and they got me the earliest appointment available. I waited in the office for less than 5 minutes before the Dental Assistant called me in. With a big smile, she escorted me to “the chair” . I had felt no pain or sensitivity on this tooth or area and didn't understand why I needed it. I've heard of people spending thousands of dollars on a root canal, then the crown, then the rotten cherry on top within a short period, eventually needing to pull that tooth and pay for an implant or a bridge, depending on whether you can afford it. I had seriously thought of just having the tooth pulled and replaced with a bridge to save money. The Dental Assistant not only explained why I needed the root canal, but she showed me why. She let me know the success rate and the benefit of keeping the natural tooth versus pulling it and going with a bridge. I badgered her with every question I could think of, and she patiently answered every single one. She was extremely friendly and quite funny. I felt confident that I was not being sold a root canal that I didn't need. Dr. Gretchen Jungermann came in, introduced herself, explained their strategy, and asked if I wanted to move forward. I made a few jokes as if I already knew the complete procedure, as what I knew to expect. She laughed after I had explained that I had already been briefed and had no questions. The Dr and her Assistant (I wish I could remember her name; she had longer dark hair, about 5’7”, thin, and stated she had worked with the Dr for eight years) worked on me in concert, with no more pain than my regular cleaning. They both were consistent in making sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. At one point, I knew I did need the root canal. As the Dr drilled, I smelled the regular burning of a tooth, and suddenly, I had gotten a whiff of what I can only explain as raw chicken scraps accidentally left in the back of the refrigerator for six months. The Dr joked and said, “Yep, it's like lifting the lid of a garbage can here in the Florida summer.” Not only did they make me feel comfortable psychologically, but I enjoyed their sense of humor. They paid as much attention to me as if I were someone they knew. I was in and out of there that felt like 45-60 minutes. Now I know that even if I end up without insurance and need another root canal, I'm returning to Mid-Florida Endodontics. This endorsement is not paid for, nor was I compensated for this review . And no, they aren't family members or friends of a friend. They just offered excellent service, from the crown to the root (or for those who've heard it, from the rooter to the tooter). Since Mid-Florida Endodontics was in network, I made an appointment without knowing much about them except they had excellent reviews. I wasn't disappointed. Fantastic experience: I cannot praise this Dentist or her staff enough! I have high dental anxiety and needed a root canal. From the moment I walked into the practice until the time I checked out, I was highly impressed! From the soft and relaxing decor, pleasant and smiling staff, and Dr. Gretchen, five stars isn’t enough!! With the exception of one little needle prick (barely even felt), I felt nothing!!! She worked her painless magic and performed my needed root canal, talking me through the entire procedure. I’ve had more painful fillings and cleanings in my lifetime, than this root canal!! I now understand why her feedback and 5 star ratings are so abundant!! Seriously, I was referred to a different Endo by my General Dentist, but after Googling Endo’s, I chose Dr. Gretchen! I am SO GLAD I DID! I never thought I’d say a dental procedure was a “pleasant experience”, but it truly was!! Fantastic experience: I was referred to Dr. Jungermann to look at a potential root canal. After looking at it and talking to me she did not recommend surgery at this time. Instead we will monitor whether anything gets worse and she will see me free of charge once a year if nothing happens. I was very pleased with her honest advice and health care. You can trust her analysis and be confident that any actions she recommends are in your best interest, not a financial bottom line for the doctor.

Fantastic experience: I was very happy that she was as nice as the endodontist that I had gone to in NY. She told me exactly what she would do for me and gave me a script for antibiotics before I come back to see her again. Fantastic experience: A wonderful experience from the surgeon and staff. I was very apprehensive and nervous regarding the root canal procedure. The doctor put me at ease immediately and explained step by step what was happening during the process. Highly recommend this surgeon and staff.

Fantastic experience: The receptionist (I forgot her name, but think it was Melissa) was great and went above and beyond to try to find a quick appointment for me after Dr. Jungermann determined I needed an extraction rather than a root canal. Dr. Jungermann was very professional and efficient in diagnosing my tooth could not be saved after she xrayed and examined the tooth. The hygienist/xray tech was also very nice. I would recommend this office for endodontic consults, but since I couldn't actually have the root canal, I cannot comment on the procedure itself.

Negative experience: Visit was good and the work done was good but very aggressive. My Gums were raw hamburger meat for a while after my experience. Not a light touch whatsoever. Also got sick directly in front of the office after my procedure because of the nitrous and nobody came out to even see if I was ok. Will absolutely not be going back there for any work in the future!

Literally they could not have made a root canal any better. There is absolutely nothing that I could think of that would make my experience any better. Fantastic experience: Dental work is a fear of mine but I had to get a root canal ASAP. They took me the same day after expressing the amount of pain I was in, which to me means they actually care. Fantastic experience: I just returned from a root canal by Dr. Jugermann. As a veteran I was extremely pleased to learn that she was X Air Force. The staff was extremely professional and she couldn’t have done a better job. I highly recommend Dr. Gretchen and her staff.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jungermann and her entire staff were extremely professional and polite. I was very anxious as this was my first root canal. The doctor explained everything to me and worked without delay. No pain at all during the procedure! Only discomfort was from the items placed in mouth which are necessary. Once I got used to it as best I could I relaxed and all went smoothly. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Jungermann listened to my concerns and provided appropriate feedback. She was responsive and caring, as was her assistant. I had very little pain from the anesthetic and 0 pain from the root canal. The office staff were very friendly and the office aesthetic very peaceful and calming. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I would like to shout out a THANK YOU to Dr Jungerman and her staff. I found the staff there to be pleasant and helpful. She quickly tested and identified which tooth was causing me pain and facial swelling. Dr Jungerman was amazingly efficient during treatment. She would pop out of my room to see another patient while the assistant worked on me. This is important because I had to be put on an ASAP list, they are a busy practice, but she does not waste time. They did call me in sooner. Before and during treatment, she was informative and her communication with her assistant was barely noticeable. They work very hard to get you in and out quickly - I'm sure they know it's not everyone's favorite place to be.

Fantastic experience: Mid Florida Endodontics is exceptional. I had to have a root canal and this is the second one in 12 years. The doctor was extremely caring and professional. She treated me like I was the president. I was very relaxed and comfortable the whole time there. All in all I was in and out in an hour. It’s the best dentist office I have visited by far. Good job guys

Fantastic experience: Was referred by my dentist for root canal. Patient portal made it easy to fill out forms. The doctor and assistant were such a great team and very much in sync. Explained the whole procedure and took time to listen to my situation and answer any questions I had. 30 minute procedure. You could tell this was an experienced team. Would highly recommend. The music was my favorite so I stayed relaxed throughout. :). Happy patient.

Fantastic experience: I have been playing catch up with all my doctors for the past few months, and needless to say it hasn't been all that pleasant. I've dealt with some rude doctors, some that seem to make a big deal out of everything and had left me scared. I was so scared for this Endo appt, and this doctor was by far the best I've worked with. She was direct but also empathetic. She didn't make anything dramatic, she simply told me what needed to be done. She didn't make me feel dumb when I brought it my severe anxiety, instead she came up with a quick solution to help me. I will absolutely recommend this office to anyone. Plus the office itself was very nice and the front desk staff was very pleasant!

Negative experience: Rude staff!!!!!!!!!! Called to set up consult for two root canals. they set appointment. went to appointment. After seeing the doctor, went to reception desk. Front desk person printed me a copy of pricing for the two recommended root canals. Made appointment for procedure. put it on my calendar on my phone while standing at reception desk. " I always do that" Drove1 /12 hours from Jacksonville to Daytona for appointment. Arrived early as "I always do". The same person that made the appointment for me on my previous visit, said I'm not on the schedule. She ask me where was my appointment card? I told her she didn't give me one. She begin to have attitude and told me they always give appointment cards. I told her she did not and how i put on my phone calendar and told her I didn't need one. basically from there she called me a liar and acted like it was my fault!! now I have a new endodontist and they will get the money for all the work I need done.

Fantastic experience: Dr Gretchen was extremely professional. I had no pain form my root canal I was able to sleep on the side I had worked on with a pillow underneath it and I found it to be less painful than cleaning thank you Dr Gretchen you were amazing

Fantastic experience: The attention is excellent, she is a very competent Dr. in her profession, she explains each step of the treatment she performs giving security. I highly recommend her and all the staff who work there. they are very punctual in the hour of attention that they assign for the patient.

Fantastic experience: Dr Jungermann did my root canal today. It was absolutely wonderful. She gave me nitrous which relaxed me and I had no pain no stress and she has a very gentle touch. I would definitely highly recommend her to anybody. I would even do it again if I had to
