I can't lie and say I am happy to get a root canal but if I have to get one and I want impeccable service as well as pain free work then this is where I go. Negative experience: Got fillings for my two kids and paid the $168 bill I was quoted. Went in a few weeks later for my cleaning and was hit with an additional THREE HUNDRED PLUS dollar charge. Something about insurance only covers one type of filling and they use some other type of filling blah, blah blah. After stepping outside to compose myself, they said a “mistake” was made and I only owe $95. I should have been fully informed of the true cost, typical of the healthcare nightmare we live in. But the point is it wasn’t disclosed and to be surprised with that kind of charge after the fact is totally inexcusable. I will NEVER set foot in that building again. I feel like I was robbed of $95.

My hygienist was great, besides being thorough and gave me a good cleaning, she was a pleasure to talk to. Dr. Lehaf is also very pleasant and easy to talk to. Another plus, no other work to be done. Fantastic experience: My old dentist retired so it was time to find a new dentist I went to a place on Hooper Ave in Toms River.I don't want to say the name because I don't believe in bashing small businesses, but I went because I had a slight toothache I went and received my X-rays and then saw the Dr he looked at my X-rays then my teeth and said I believe you just need a good cleaning and the ache will go away and also a mouth guard because you grind ok cool, no biggie! 2 weeks go by at this point I received my cleaning and the pain didn't go away and out of the blue the pain got so intense if I didn't see someone I needed to go to the hospital it was that bad but by the grace of God Dunn dental was open although they were closing in a hour they were still willing to take me in! All the staff were so nice and really accommodating. The Dr came in Dr. Dunn, she was so nice and really cared that I was in extreme pain although nothing could be done at that exact point other then prescribing me antibiotics and strong Motrin she with in 2 seconds of looking at my tooth could see that there was a slight hairline crack in my tooth which was causing the issue. Point being if the other dentist from the first place was a little more thorough I would have never experienced the pain I was/am in because I would have had the procedure that I needed to fix the problem done already (root canal) ugh ‍♂️.. Point being Dr. Dunn will have me as a patient from here on out! Thanks again Dr. Dunn and Dunn dental staff!!!!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time going to Dr. Dunn upon the recommendation of one of my coworkers. I found Dr. Dunn to be very professional and caring, and she made me feel at ease. The xray technician and office staff were very friendly. The office was spotless and everything was wiped down after use which is a big plus. The equipment used was all state of the art. I need some work done so I can't say how my experience will be (as far as work performed to my satisfaction and being pain free), but I am confident I will be satisfied with my decision in coming to see Dr. Dunn. I have been going to Dr. Dunn for over 2 years now and she is wonderful. I've had dental work done and I felt absolutely no pain. She is extremely gentle and I am not afraid of getting dental work done anymore. Her whole staff were very professional, and they make you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Dunn!

Super friendly, immaculately clean and the TV programming was wholesome, not the View like the last practice that I was going to. The initial screening was very thorough, including taking photos of my teeth, which was a first. Also used a handheld device to screen my mouth and throat for cancer, also a first. Negative experience: The tech who always does my xrays is horrible. She always has to retake them numerous times and has me gagging where she needs to get another tech to take them no problem. She really needs training. Maybe get a smaller film holder may help.

Fantastic experience: I am very happy with the care and how clean and well organized the place is. I am, however, getting very upset with my visits. The bill department stops me on the way out to tell me I owe money on a service that my insurance totally covers 100%. Even after telling them I have insurance and it is a 100% covered. They try to get me to pay out of pocket. It is only when I tell them I am getting intouch with my insurance to tell them office is trying to bill me for a covered charge, then office finally stops insisting I pay. I wonder how many are paying this office when infact their insurance is paying also. Not good! I'm really getting tired of this happening. And it really needs to stop.

Fantastic experience: Be going in for a couple years now and everybody over here is absolutely great. They just repaired a crown for me that had fallen off (that was put on by another dentist)and charged me a very small feet to reattach it. Highly recommend them.

Negative experience: I wanted to share a bad experience with Dr. Lehaf and Dunn Dental. In August of 2022, Dr. Lehaf told me I needed a crown. This was not an issue as I have had several crowns placed as an adult. Unfortunately, this crown recently fell off and my insurance will not cover a new crown when it is under 5 yrs old for the same tooth. After seeing another dentist, they commented on how the previous dentist (Lehaf) had filed my tooth down much smaller than necessary and they now have to build up what Dr. Lehaf took off. When I called Dunn dental, I was told they only warranty the crown for 1 year. They are not going to stand by the poor work done by Dr. Lehaf. The existing crowns in my mouth are over 25 years old. I have never had a crown last this short period of time. If you are getting a crown from Dunn dental, please ask many questions including how short the tooth needs to be filed and how do they stand by their work. My situation is very upsetting as I now need to pull the tooth or pay $1300 out of pocket for a tooth buildup and new crown!

Negative experience: Very disappointing, it's been 6 months since I finished my treatments and despite paying in full prior to each visit, I am still getting multiple statements with balances from them. This is despite paying in full. Each statement I get, I immediately call to pay and specifically ask to make sure that I have a zero balance. Drumroll please- a month later another statement.

I dare you to spot the repair...it looks great! 2.21.2024 Dr. Dunn and her staff once again performed a magnificent job on my broken lower left bridge. Her office and staff are very knowledgeable and precise. Kudos to all! 3.07.2025 And again Dr.Dunn and her staff performed exceptional. When i called to tell them I had broken my front tooth, they immediately had me come to the office to replace the tooth with a temporary crown. I'm positive that when the porcelain is finished, it will look amazing.

Fantastic experience: Hey all this is Steve Williams! I rarely do reviews, but Dunn Dental has taken such good care of me I have to give them major props! The last time I went to the dentist was in 2008, I have terrible anxiety about going to any kind of doctor, and I can't stand medication. I don't even take OTC aspirin. This combination doesn't exactly make me a compliant patient, however, the amazing staff at Dunn Dental has made me feel so at ease, and treated me so gently that I can honestly say I'm now looking forward to my appointments!
