Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Patel for an extremely complicated problem that had previously been refused to be handled by 5 local specialists. Each of these specialists had declared the problem to be something they were not comfortable addressing and referred me to either NYU or Yale dental schools. Dr. Patel did an extremely thorough examination, review of my records, took some additional xrays in her office and said she felt totally comfortable taking my case! Her office staff was extremely professional and kind, the atmosphere was calming and everyone working there went out of their way to make this experience as positive as possible for me. I was thrilled that she was able to explain the problem - and her plan for correction - to me, and that she was completely comfortable taking on this complicated and difficult problem. The office was lovely and designed to make even the most skittish (me!) patient comfortable! I am so grateful to have found her, and cannot wait to get started correcting this problem that has plagued me for over a year. I can highly recommend Dr. Patel to anyone with difficult, or ordinary, dental issues. All of the staff from the assistants to the dentists to the reception manager are professional, friendly and assuring. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Plus, the place smells terrific! Fantastic experience: I went for 2 cleanings a year and an exam at my dentist for over 10 years, brush 2X a day and used a water flosser daily. I asked about Periodontitis and was put off. I came to Dr. Patel and learned I had not received great dental care. My last cleaning was 2 months prior but wasn’t thorough. I had a great exam, cleaning and panoramic X-ray that showed some bone deterioration at my molars. I highly recommend you go to Dr Patel because she authentically wants her patients to have the best care. Perhaps my prior dentist was willing to have me move to Perio to charge thousands in treatment?

Negative experience: I have been a patient for years. Really liked the service. BUT they just informed me 24 hrs before my bi-annual appointment that they no longer accept Delta Dental. No time to plan / make some calls to my insurance, just pay $220 up front!!!! Such business practices SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a betrayal!!!

Fantastic experience: I trust Stamford Dental Spa because they are detailed, good at educating me as a patient and are so friendly. Today I had a crown placed, requiring me to have a Novocain shot. The dentist was very gentle and the crown feels great.

Negative experience: I had been a patient at Stamford Dental Spa for several years, but recently decided to switch providers after a disappointing experience. I inquired about a payment plan for a cosmetic procedure, but the office was unwilling to accommodate my request. There was also a lack of clear communication, and when I attempted to discuss it with the office manager, he dismissed my concerns and indicated he didn’t care if I found a new dentist. That attitude was extremely off-putting and ultimately led me to seek care elsewhere. At my first appointment with my new dentist, I brought up a stain on my tooth that I had repeatedly asked Stamford Dental Spa about and was always told it was nothing to worry about. However, my new provider discovered that it was actually an open cavity, which had been allowing bacteria to accumulate. I needed a filling and a repair to a chipped filling as well. I was genuinely shocked, as I had been reassured for years that it was “just a stain.” Because of these issues, I can no longer recommend Stamford Dental Spa. The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because of the hygienist, whose cleanings were always gentle and thorough.

Fantastic experience: My favorite dentist! I used to hate going to the dentist, but now it’s actually a treat. It’s the small touches that make this place great - the massage chairs, the small hand treatment, the clean bathroom. The staff is always so friendly and it really does have a spa vibe. The dentist is attentive and addresses any concerns - they don’t push any procedures and may just recommend switching products. They are transparent about costs and any potential issues with insurance coverage. We’ve also sent both grandparents to this dentist (for emergency visits when they were visiting from out of state). Both had a great experience. My family is grateful for finding such a great dentist!

Fantastic experience: I have been here twice and honestly never plan to go to another dentist if I can help it. My second visit really sealed the deal - they knew they’d be out of network for me starting in 2025 and handled the whole thing so smoothly. They are also very friendly and gentle during cleanings, not to mention the free massaging chairs & hand moisturizing treatment! The drive from Fairfield is completely worth it.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for about five years. Dr. Patel is a true gem as a person and as a dentist. She is honest and genuinely cares about your health and well being. The doctors or staff NEVER try to sell unnecessary procedures or services like so medical practices do. Katherine is a gentle, yet extremely thorough hygienist who goes above and beyond to make your experience comfortable. The front office is very welcoming. The massage chair and hand lotion treatment is just a big bonus!

Put in an emergency visit request on a Tuesday night and they were able to get back to me the following morning shortly after they opened for the day, and were able to fit me in that same afternoon.

Negative experience: Have you ever negotiated healthcare procedure costs in a hospital or a doctor's office? Does that sound more like a flea market than a sterile, professional clinical environment? Well you're exactly right! This office is just shakedown central. $$$$$$$$$$$ all that they see/hear/prioritize. You deserve better. Here are 3 things I'd do before ever going back here: 1. Let my teeth fall out 2. Cash out my bank accounts, burn all of it. 3. Run a half marathon going the wrong way on I-95.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going for years now. It all started when my previous dentist did a hack job on my root canals. I saw a specialist for the route canal and Stamford Dental Spa took care of the rest. I needed 3 route canals. They took the time to help me understand the cost and prioritize which teeth needed the most care. They even offered a payment plan! Dr. Ghazal Khashayar is such a kind and pleasant person. Every dental assistant I’ve interacted with has a wonderful demeanor. SDS is definitely the best dental practice around.

Fantastic experience: I had been traveling to Long Island to continue with my dentist who recently retired. The Stamford Dental Spa was recommended to me by a co-worker, and I walked out very happy with the practice. From the moment I walked in, I was put at ease. Everything was thoroughly explained to me during my visit. Dr. Khashayar gave me preventative tips which I have already acted upon.

Fantastic experience: This is the best practice. I have been going for years and they are exceptional in every way - exceptionally competent, professional, knowledgeable and personable. Fantastic experience: I'll start by saying I've largely thought most dentists I've used have all done a decent job. A few years ago we switched to Stamdford Dental Spa. The spot aesthetic is nice enough. There are little touches that make the experience nice. But most important, the staff are just very nice, friendly and seem diligent about the work.

Fantastic experience: Ive been going here for years and have had my fair share of dental issues. However, since attending this practice Ive received honest feedback on my dental issues amazing care. Just recently Dr. Patel and team gave me the best Christmas gift ever in restoring my smile. They always act in your best interest and try to find the best treatment plan for your care. I travel all the way from the Bronx in NY because I trust in their level of care. I am forever grateful and extremely pleased with the results.

Fantastic experience: Pretty good experience, the best dentist experience I’ve had in a while. They were efficient, minimal wait time, the hygienist and doctor had a great bedside manner. No judgement, just easygoing and they weren’t trying to plug new procedures/treatments which I always respect. Overall, pretty happy and hope to stay with them.

Negative experience: Dr. Mamta Patel is an extremely unprofessional, unethical, rude, disgrace to dentistry and the medical profession overall. She solves medical issues caused by her/her staff’s procedures, by dismissing her patients from her practice, a trend you may have gathered from some of her prior google reviews. I held off on leaving a negative review until I received an email out of the blue stating that Dr. Patel refused to see myself or members of my family as her patients, as a result of a simple request of mine for her to remedy an issue caused by HER services. Several months ago, following an appointment, I contacted her office mentioning that there was a dental issue which resulted from an in office cleaning. Instead of reaching out in a professional manner to discuss further and offer an appropriate resolution, Dr. Mamta Patel decided it would be acceptable to personally text me this message on my cell phone: “This is Dr Patel from Stamford Dental Spa. I was told there was a problem. If this were a life threatening emergency or severe pain I would make an accommodation. I am happy to put you on my cancellation list if I get an opening. I do appreciate being told things are unacceptable. If our schedule doesn't line up with yours, we are more than happy to send your records to a practice of your choice.” In other words, good luck if her or her staff mess up, because she will both charge you for correcting her issue (and lie about doing so), after she considers seeing you at *her* convenience, or better yet, dismiss you from her practice… Furthermore, she followed this unprofessional text message up, 2.5 months later, and days before our scheduled office visits, by dismissing my family from her practice, and deciding to cancel our appointments without prior notice due to “lack of communication or compatibility”…which one can assume was clearly on her part, as she cowers behind passive aggressive, completely inappropriate text messages to her patients. Dr. Patel, a so-called “medical professional,” saw it easier to rid herself of the responsibility of addressing her shortcomings, instead of apologizing for her previously appalling behavior, and lack of willingness to resolve a dental matter caused by HER office. Instead, she insults her patients via text message, then fires them via email, and then goes on to BLOCK our phone numbers so we cannot reach the office!!! Unbelievable behavior for a grown adult, let alone a business owner, isn’t it? Dr. Patel is in the dental business to make a quick buck off you by any means, rather than practicing dentistry ethically and compassionately. She blatantly lied about fixing the issue without a charge, and submitted a claim to our insurance company without notifying the patient, which we found out about months later. Whatever doesn’t fit her schedule, she deems a “non-emergency” and gets upset/dismisses you entirely when you deem this unacceptable. She took an oath to do no harm, and to help her patients, but clearly doesn’t stand by that. She has been caught out in the past up charging for and recommending unnecessary procedures. Dr. Patel is more focused on bombarding patients with endless desperate pleas for google reviews after every visit, than actually doing her job well. She has most certainly lost all of my professional referrals to her practice and I will be sure to forewarn my colleagues and clients to avoid her practice. What an awful embarrassment to the medical establishment. Spare yourself the low quality and lack of integrity that Dr. Mamta Patel represents and find a true dental professional who has basic manners and cares about the health and well being of yourself and your family. Update - Contacted Delta Dental who will advocate for us, as Dr. Patel blocked our numbers. She has refused to retract her fraudulent claim, so I will be submitting a complaint with the Dental Board and the Health Department reporting her behavior. Scary to imagine if this is how she treats paying customers, how she treats her poor staff.

Fantastic experience: This is my second time coming to dental spa and yet again I left happy and satisfied about my decision coming here for dental care. Today I got a cleaning with Katherine and was very pleased. Katherine was very nice and welcoming like the rest of the staff! She gave good patient care by being gentle and pausing through short periods of time to make sure I was doing ok to proceed with my cleaning. I usually never write reviews but this being my second time I felt the need to write another review because I’m truly happy with the customer service and work this dental office provides. Just like general care is important dental care is too and this office makes it worth it! Im ending this review with 5 star rating again! I recommend this place with out a doubt.

Fantastic experience: I am not one for "going public" as I do value my privacy, but I've held off too long with commending Dr. Patel, Dr. Khashayar, and staff members; Iliana, Cailin..., I hate to butcher his name but most definitely Kaitan(sp?) so sorry..., but basically the entire office. I just prefer mentioning folks by name if possible. Finding a great dental office is akin to finding a great hair stylist; once you find one, you will commute all distances to be taken care of. Dr. Khashayar has been treating my teeth crowding for almost two years with Dr. Patel taking me to the finish line. I have every confidence in this office's expertise - teeth straightening; cleaning (best dental hygienists!); etc., and will not hesitate to recommend their services to others. You'll be in great and caring hands. Finally, and most importantly, everyone is friendly, and you're never pressured into making expensive or unnecessary decisions. Dr. Patel is the best dentist I’ve ever been to, by far - knowledgeable, kind, professional. Everyone there completely put my mind at ease and made me feel totally comfortable. I moved away and still happily make the drive to come back to this office. The office itself is absolutely beautiful, clean, and relaxing. I couldn’t recommend Stamford Dental Spa more!

Fantastic experience: I needed a dentist in the area, and I am so happy that I tried this place. From the very start all of my experiences were so positive. I was extremely stressed because two of my fillings popped off from a different prior dentist, and they seamlessly and thoroughly evaluated what I needed to get it resolved. Dr. Khashayar took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. She was so patient with me, and walked me through the x-rays/photos. There was complete transparency throughout the process, and they didn’t try to provide services that weren’t necessary etc. The rest of staff was great too. I definitely recommend this place, everyone was friendly, and they did a wonderful job.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist I have ever been too! I used to think my previous dentist was great when living in New Jersey and was apprehensive about finding a new one in Connecticut but this practice has offered nothing but a pleasant experience. I cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Not a lot of people get excited when it's time to go to the Dentist but I do and it's not just because I'm weird. I've been going here for over 8 years and I'm always blow away by the consistent level of excellent treatment. From the Spa like atmosphere to the friendly staff, you truly get a different Dental experience. Cailin is simply the best along with Dr. Patel & Dr. Khashayar who've always been honest and on point about my Dental treatments.

Fantastic experience: What a welcoming office. Staff members were all friendly and attentive. The hygienist was gentle and informative. The doctor is very well educated and warm. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is uncomfortable with going to the dentist! I never thought I'd give a 5 start rating to having 3 cavities filled at once. This office is everything that going to the dentist should be!

Fantastic experience: Best experience in a dentist's office I've ever had. I said this repeatedly during my visit but it was the first time in my life I felt I could fall asleep while in the chair. I was impressed from the moment I walked in the office. Very clean, well lit, but still comfortable and welcoming office space. Very friendly and professional staff, smiles and introductions from all. The chair itself had a massage feature and they gave me a moisturizing hand treatment while I had my cleaning! My actual appointment was thorough and efficient. The hygienist explained everything as she was doing it and why she was doing it. I experienced no pain or discomfort while she cleaned my teeth and it was quick! The dentist was very kind, thorough and efficient. She and the hygienist answered all my questions with patience and knowledgeability. I even bought a teeth whitening kit from them (this was not at all pushed on me, they explained what they use and I wanted it.). My only regret is not coming here all the years I've worked in Stamford. Amazing experience - start to finish! 2022 update - all of the above still stands. 10/10.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient of Dr. Patel's from early on and I don't think I ever had a dental experience that kept me so calm and relaxed! The staff is so friendly and make you feel at ease. I had to move away for work 5 years ago and was sad to be leaving but luckily was able to move back recently and so I knew I had to get back to Stamford Dental Spa and didn't want to bother finding a new dentist. My now husband has also become a patient and loves the experience as well. Thanks to the staff at Stamford Dental Spa for always going above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: I love Stamford Dental Spa! Everyone in there gives off excellent vibes. Their customer service is out standing. They put lotion in your hands and plastic gloves so that your hands are moisturizing and the chair your laying on has massages. All of this while you are getting your teeth cleaned. The doctors are amazing! The entire staff are very knowledgeable. I recommend 100%.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going there since my day one treatment and every time I go there it’s just an amazing experience. The doctors and staffs they treat me like a king, they sit me down in one of those reclinable chairs with heated massages and forget it, my body goes on relax mode during the procedures and quite frankly I sometimes forget that I'm at the dentist because it just feels like I'm in a spa. I truly recommend this place, it is awesome. Thanks to Dr. Patel and her team they do amazing work. Can’t wait for my next visit. See yal there.

Fantastic experience: I love Stamford Dental Spa - they make the experience of going to the dentist as pleasant as is humanly possible. The chairs are massage/vibrate chairs, they give you sunglasses to block the bright light from your eyes and they offer you a hand moisturizer treatment while you are getting your cleaning. The staff is amazing, they are caring and kind, and very gentle with the cleaning. The dentist is very smart and helpful. All in all, this is the best dentist office I have ever been to and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful treatment and care. I’ve had the same dentist for 20 years and following a move to Stamford was recommended to them. Even after my first two visits it feels like I’ve been coming here for years. Dr. Kashayar is incredibly attentive and thoughtful. Cailin makes each appointment comfortable. She’s a great communicator and listener! They have assembled an amazing staff.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding: current, knowledgeable, professional, and ethical! I am very particular about health care providers, and definitely dentists because I've had much dental work done since my youth. I needed to find someone local and started coming here not long after Dr. Patel started the practice, which was quite a few years ago now. I was impressed immediately by her expertise and recommendations. That she -- and the overall practice -- is warm and personable makes this the ideal dental practice. Both Dr. Patel and Dr. Kashayer are impressive. They explain what is going on and the reasons for the treatment plan. They and their staff of hygienist are all passionate about their work! Very helpful and current suggestions on how to care for your teeth. Plus Dr. K brings insights from her training and practice in Europe. There seems to be a lot of competition in the area, and many large practices behave more like businesses than professionals. That's one reason I prefer a small practice. I began some work today, and the office manager reviewed the treatment plan and price. After Dr. K began and uncovered the area, she saw that one step of the process wouldn't be necessary. She instructed the office to remove the charge for that step. I don't that would have happened at one of the big dental factories in the area. That's what I meant by professional. Also, the office handles the dental insurance processing which is a huge convenience. Love this practice! (And who looks forward to going to the dentist?

Fantastic experience: Transferred to this dentist after hearing about the customer service and overall experience. I got booked fairly quickly and they really accommodated me and got me in sooner. All my concerns were addressed and the service was excellent. I should have come over much sooner but glad I did. Thank you Caylin you were great!

Fantastic experience: First time today. Office was very clean and nice. Staff very friendly and prepared. Forms were filled out online in advance (with some helpful reminders) so cruised right in and went straight to the chair with no wait. Cleaning was comfortable with all the modern tools and machine. Found my new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Clean, well run, high-tech, professional practice. Dr. Patel is lovely and her techs, staff are wonderful. My husband and I have been going for over 7 years and have had only positive experiences.
