Fantastic experience: The staff were very friendly on my visit today and very prompt on getting me in for my visit. I have been going to this location since we moved here well over 18 years. Highly recommend Dr Gaik he is very easy to work with and understands high anxiety over seeing a dentist. Super friendly staff and all are more than willing to answer questions and help. Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Dr. Gaik for over 20 years! He is personable, professional, and honest. I never feel like I’m asked to sign up for “work” I don’t genuinely require. My semi-annual cleanings are always easy. The front desk folks are helpful - the paperwork is minimal, the waiting room is comfortable - but I never wait long. All of my kids came here - they are all grown and still choose Dr Gaik for their ongoing dental care!

Fantastic experience: I chipped my tooth over the weekend and Dr Gaik's office was able to get me in on Monday morning. Dr. Gaik was able to repair my tooth and it looks better than before it was chipped. I have been going to Dr. Gaik since he was an intern in Gladstone and I wondered if he was old enough to be a dentist. He has always provided the best care for our family. He is the BEST!

I look forward to getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months. My older 2 daughters are also new patients and enjoy getting their teeth cleaned here too. Everyone is great.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Shoal Creek Dentistry was to just meet the staff and to ask if they were willing to work with someone with past dental trauma. My 2nd visit assured me I came to the right dental office. Before the hygienist even started on my deep cleaning the dentist came in to just see how I was doing.. the hygienist was amazing and made me feel so reassured about dental care and dental visits being very doable. They were Great!

Fantastic experience: I have had a very long journey when it comes to dentures. I had recently lost my dentures due to COVID because of the masks and it made it just so convenient to be in public or not with a mask on and not have to worry about your smile. I have been working with Dr Gaik for almost 3 years now. My first pair of dentures didn't fit right I felt like I had an overbite way too much and then the second pair that was made to reprimand the first was overcorrected and had too much of an overbite. I dealt with this for a long time because I felt like I was being too picky. I would always say it's not right it's not right and I almost gave up. Third time is definitely the charm and this time they got it right and not only did they get it right but they didn't make me feel bad for knowing how my teeth should feel in my mouth. The dental assistance are always great and very patient with me because I might be that patient now you know.... Ultimately I would recommend anyone to see them because they do care about how you feel about your smile about the function of your teeth and the end game you're trying to achieve. This is probably the longest review I've ever left for a company and I don't do it often but I feel like praise needs to be given to this company because a lot of dentists out there now really kind of have a revolving door in and out in and out but here I played the long game and I'm glad I did.

Negative experience: Poor communication. Dishonest patient care. All about the $$$ after being a patient for almost a decade. Yikes. Please remove my family from your text/call lists. ETA: Not telling Dr. H’s patients she left/resigned/whatever fancy term you prefer, is absolutely classless. You guys didn’t make me aware of this change. I sent my minor daughter to your office where someone else that we did not schedule our appointment with worked on her. I didn’t find this out until months later when I called SCDC to reschedule an appointment I had with Dr. H and found out that Dr. H hadn’t been there in months. Incredibly uncomfortable and shameful but not surprising coming from a male dominated office. Do better.

From the first visit of finding the problem to the care provided until my next appointment, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!!

Fantastic experience: I don't often write reviews, but considering my fear with dental work, I wanted to share for others in the same boat. Nothing but absolute amazing things to say. I'll break down my story below, but want the gratitude I feel for the staff here right at the top, for helping me through my treatment plan the last few months. After kids, and Covid and neglecting my teeth for a few years, and cracking a molar while eating, I knew I needed something more than just the standard cleaning. I first went to a chain dentist, covered by my insurance (named after a tree) and was given an aggressive and overwhelming treatment plan which included removing all 4 wisdom teeth(which I've been told before are fine) a root canal (even though I wasnt in pain), and that they wouldn't even entertain beginning cleaning until I did both of these. They scolded me about the consequence of my neglect(like I wasn't aware already), and I walked out feeling terrible. Then the dr they referred me to for the root canal asked some questions and began to question why I was referred to them, and encouraged me to get a second opinion, so I did. I went to my local moms group to help me find a trusted dentist, that works with people with dental anxiety, and received multiple votes for Dr Gaik. My first visit, I explained what I was told at the other place, and was met with a much kinder response--zero guilt, and just understanding and acceptance. They talked to me about starting with the cleanings, before we even talk about removal of teeth that aren't crowding my mouth. He gave me the option for my crown without the root canal, because I was in no pain and we didn't see a need for an unnecessary root canal, and thus my plan was figured out. Either 1 session, with sedation, and get it all done, or break it up into 3 more manageable ones, no sedation, taking things a step at a time. Being newly pregnant and sedation not being an option, I went with option 2. 3 visits were planned for me--first, addressing the crown and my problem tooth, second my entire right side of my mouth, third my left. These sessions allowed me to only deal with an hour at a time, little by little, to achieve my end goal of getting back to just needing regular maintenance without having long extensive visits. Dr gaik was so understanding and kind, and each hygienist I spent time with was fantastic, compassionate, good at ensuring I was comfortable, and distracted. I'm so thankful to have found them, and look forward to staying with this office moving forward.

Fantastic experience: I want to share my experience at Shoal Creek Dental Care. To start off with, you can't get better service than with their experienced receptionists. They make you feel like an old friend. Next I saw Lindsey. She cleaned my teeth. She was so gentle but still got the job done! After that I saw Dr Gaik. Dr Gaik is a great dentist but, I am more impressed with his kindness. He really cares about his patients. Overall, this is the best dentist office I have ever been to. Fantastic experience: Went in today to get crown replaced, it fell out this morning while I was chewing gum! I called right away and explained what happened and asked how quickly could they see me. Scheduled visit within an hour and 15m. Dr Gaik was out, so had to see the new dentist, Dr Phillips and he’s right he’s not nearly as funny as Dr Gaik, but he’s still a good dentist! LOL He was great, gentle and thorough, didn’t take long at all. He thinks this should take care of the problem in the future, so it shouldn’t come out again. Negative experience: I went in recently for my routine cleaning. I always see Dr. Larinda Hvlachec. When I was told I was seeing Dr Gaik, I asked where Dr. Hvlachec was? I was told she was no longer with the practice. I asked where she moved to, but wasn't given any information. I have been seeing her for years, and will follow her to her next practice. She's the best dentist I've ever had! I think patients should be told when dentists leave so their patients can follow them!

I immediately called my dentist office, shoal creak dental care in Liberty MO and left a message. They called me back within a half hour. Y’all got me in within the same hour. Going to the dentist has something I've always had anxiety with but they take the anxiety away with their calm demeanor and knowledge of procedures. I recommend with five stars Shoal Creek dentist if you are in the liberty, north Kansas City Kansas City metropolitan area. Please ask for Dr. Gaik, he's great! However, if you are assign someone else they will take just as good of care if you! They are all happy and like their job and you can tell. I'm very happy they are our family choice of dentist.
