Fantastic experience: Tranquility dental has been our family dentistry for 5 years now. We love them, especially Dr. Sophie! As an Army family we move so much that we have experienced dentists in about 9 different states over the years and Tranquility has been the best and our favorite.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience at Tranquility Dental in Lacey. The staff is friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, the environment is calm and welcoming . The office feels more like a relaxing spa than a dentist’s office, which really helps take the stress out of dental visits. I also appreciated how upfront they were about costs and care options. Hands down the best dental experience I’ve had. Highly recommend Tranquility Dental .

Fantastic experience: I had high hopes for a better dental experience after moving from another state. Many offices made me nervous due to a lack of responsiveness and limited appointment availability. With Tranquility, I was able to book my appointment online with ease and unlike past experiences, I didn’t receive a last-minute cancellation email, which was a huge relief. I originally came in for an Invisalign consultation, but I loved that I could also have my general dentist in the same place. That convenience alone was a big win. Everyone on staff was kind and welcoming, but I especially want to highlight my experience with Tana, who truly took my visit to the next level. She showed so much care and thoughtfulness in helping me with my dental hygiene needs. I started my deep cleaning process that same day, and while I was nervous going in, it was nowhere near as scary as I expected. The experience honestly felt luxurious, from the heated vibrating chair and cozy blanket to her offering chapstick and even helping me apply it when my lips got dry during the cleaning. Those small details made a huge difference and helped me feel relaxed and cared for. The front desk team was also incredibly helpful. Every question I had was answered thoroughly, and I never felt rushed. I almost want to gatekeep this place because of how great the experience was but truly, I hope others get to experience the same level of care. Moving forward, I feel confident that I’m in very good hands here.

Negative experience: I will start by saying the front desk staff, assistants, and the actual Dentists are very nice. The office is pretty and clean, but not worth the “comfort” options they offer. The main reason I cancelled my appointments and won’t be going here is the Dental Hygienist, Heather. I first heard her cussing loudly in the office. We all cuss, but not in a professional medical setting where patients can hear. I should've know to leave right then. She came over to me and began looking at my teeth. She told me she didn’t like my teeth. Okay, never had any dental professional say that to me before. She proceeded to say to me, “You have never had a good Hygienist work with you.” I find that rude, untrue, and disrespectful to my previous Hygienists. She kept saying I had an implant on a tooth I do not have an implant on. She couldn’t tell which tooth had the implant. She told me I needed a deep cleaning and cleanings 3 times a year. Being a military spouse who moves frequently, I have had multiple Hygienists at four different dental offices in the last 14 years and none of them have ever told me they didn’t like my teeth or that I need all these extra (very costly) cleanings. In the last 84 cleanings I have had, not one has told me my mouth is “diseased” (she really said that to me) and I need deep and extra cleanings. I see the Dentist religiously and have only missed my last cleanings due to moving. After she told me the deep cleanings need to be approved by the insurance, she said, “You have Tricare, right?” I said yes and she then said, “That sucks. I hate that for you.” I was shocked. Excuse me, what? I’m sorry that I have insurance and Tricare makes you do the deep cleaning in two separate appointments. She was not thrilled about that and made it known. I was going along with this because I didn’t want to make trouble, and I could tell by her demeanor that it would be best for me to just go along with this and not question anything. She asked if mornings or afternoons worked better for me and I said afternoons. She offered me a Monday at 10am. I asked if she had anything later in the day. She said, “It’s my day off and I also have to pick up my kids, but I guess I could do 1pm.” Fine. I wasn’t going to dare ask for any later, but why offer me that time and on your day off? She made it sound like I was inconveniencing her. When I got up to the front desk to check out, they gave me the estimated cost of the cleaning and crown I was having placed. I was fine with the cost of the crown, but the cleaning was going to be almost $700 out of pocket since my insurance is about to max out for the year (I had some work done earlier in the year). I asked her to cancel the cleaning and not send the request for deep cleaning to Tricare because I was not paying $700 for a cleaning when I have never had to pay out of pocket for a cleaning in my life. I told the girl at the front desk I would have the crown done there by the Dentist and I would go get a second opinion for a cleaning so I don’t miss out on those benefits for the year (regular cleanings). She told me she had to check with the Hygienist before she could cancel. She called the Hygienist over and explained. The Hygienist said, “I’ll go ahead and do a normal cleaning for you because I don’t want you to get a second opinion and risk a hit on my license.” I left there feeling degraded. The next day, I called and cancelled all my appointments there. I will not be returning to this dental office. It’s a shame because the rest of the staff were very nice, but beware of the Hygienist. She is the most unprofessional dental "professional" I have ever been in the presence of. I have never had anyone talk to me like that in a dental office.

Negative experience: This dental office charges its patient a $150 cancellation fee outside 48 hours, but does nothing when the dental office cancels last minute on the patient. For example, I have been a patient since 2016, I always arrived on time and never missed an appointment. On more than 1 occasion this dental office cancelled on me last minute. I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment and was informed the dentist went home and there was no compensation for my time. I feel this is an unfair practice.

Negative experience: I just want everyone to know that if you miss a dentist appointment you will be charged $150 this is criminal. I understand when people miss their appointments, but $150 is ridiculous. We already know how much dentist office makes and now this fee. I am no longer recommending this company. I will be going elsewhere. I don’t mind paying a few like $50 but $150 I am so disappointed. ☹️

Fantastic experience: Super kind team! I had my first cavity as a adult and they were knowledgeable and knew since it was so tiny, it wouldn't cause pain. The procedure was quick and painless as promised! They know what they're doing! Also, they have a menu of comfort options to help you relax. Very considerate! Have never had that ever anywhere

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental experience I have ever had. I went in for a cleaning and a filling and was treated exceptionally well. From checking in and going to my oral hygienist to the actual dentist, I felt so comfortable. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable the entire way through. They even have a comfort menu to ease any anxiety you might have. From aroma therapy to noise canceling headphones to heated seats, they are there to make your experience pleasant. All the staff will listen to you and ask how you would like your service to go. I felt like I was in control of all my treatments. I will willingly go back to them for any future service. They have changed my mind about all dentist experience.

I dont like going to dentist but Dr Sofie and staff made it literally a breeze.I Had xrays and thorough exam. I will be going back and wont be so nervous next time. Great place. I don't have dental insurance and I was given an estimate with several options to proceed and make the work more affordable. Very pleased.

The dentist and assistants listen to you, your concerns all the while creating a friendly safe atmosphere. They have a complimentary comfort menu for you to choose from at any point in your appointment or just waiting in the lobby. I would definitely recommend going here for your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Tranquility Dental Wellness in Lacey, WA is my go to dental office. Yesterday I called for a tooth issue that occurred over the weekend for a doctor to look at a tooth. I was able to see Dr. Prellwitz, DMD in the early afternoon, same day, who wrote me a prescription and followup. I greatly appreciate their concern and fast response to my issue! Fantastic experience: I absolutely love my dentist. Dr. Sophie is always so compassionate kind, and gentle and the staff is always welcoming and accommodating. I was having tooth pain and they got me in the very next day. They would’ve probably got me in that day but I didn’t call until 530 they were closed but they still answered the phone, so grateful for my dentist office. Thank you thank you thank you.

Fantastic experience: The waiting area was calming and well appointed. The staff were respectful and attentive. During my exam, the providers were attentive to my personal needs and were gentle. They answered all my questions and talked with me about my concerns. All in all, a very good experience!

I have bad jaw pain and extreme dentist anxiety and they make sure to accommodate and give me breaks and make sure I’m comfortable and at ease. Heather was my most recent hygienist and she was lovely! So sweet! I started freaking out mid cleaning and she was able to work through it with me so we could get it done.

Fantastic experience: My experience here has always been great. I don't like going to the dentist any more than anyone else- but these folks are outstanding. The receptionists are very friendly and professional, the dental hygienists and dentists and other treatment professionals are wonderful. They are thorough and are good about discussing my treatment plan and what is highest priority as well as financial impacts based on what insurance will cover. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Anything less than a 5 star rating is hard to believe in my opinion! First and foremost the atmosphere.. especially the comfort is admirable! During your dental work you can amplify your comfort by selecting things off the menu (see photo)! The staff is incredible! Hard working, happy, and easy to interact with. I had the pleasure of working with Hanh. Throughout the dental work she remained professional, continued to provide reassurance, and explained the process easy enough for me to understand. Fantastic experience: Always a quick and great experience! The staff are all friendly and take time to ask questions and explain anything that needs addressing. I've never had issues getting an appointment in a timely manner when needed.

Negative experience: If I could give negative stars, I would. I switched from Tumwater to Lacey hoping it would be a better experience, sadly I was mistaken. The staff here are rude and condescending, and over time, I have come to realize that the health of my teeth and gums have deteriorated while getting care here instead of improved. I have always struggled with my dental health due to factors out of my control, but I have never had such an experience of being told "no Dentist worth anything could manage this", all coming from an arrogant dental assistant named Heather, so thinks that she's the dentist and knows everything simply because she's been doing her job for 20 years. Let me tell you, as a patient but also a healthcare provider myself, I'm appalled at the care this chain of practices provides and I would recommend you avoid them altogether. Absolutely terrible. Unless you enjoy being told how abnormal you are multiple times during every visit, I highly recommend you seek dental care somewhere else. UPDATE- after dealing with this horribly condescending hygienist, I went to another well respected dentist in Seattle. They had to redo X-rays because the ones taken at Tranquility were “such a poor quality they had no diagnostic value”. Then, I had a painless cleaning and was treated with respect as they identified issues and a plan with me. I am adding this update to say that this confirms my suspicions about Tranquility. They give horrible care, make you feel like it’s your fault, and someone who isn’t even the doctor refers you to a periodontist who probably isn’t covered by insurance. Also, they recommend dental work (in my case a crown) that absolutely isn’t necessary. Beware!

Fantastic experience: I found tranquility a few years ago after not having been to the dentist in 3 to 4 years because my last dentist made me feel shame for not being a good flosser. I do try harder with flossing now, but I no longer feel shame, and this place makes me feel "safe" and able to be vulnerable. They encourage me to have better mouth hygiene while not making me feel awful for being human. I think they go above and beyond and justifiably I come here now even though I have changed insurance and am not covered here. I would rather pay out of pocket than try to find a dentist that wants to get as many customers as possible while giving subpar work. (Suggestion: a little cleaning up outside would take the age off the windows and signs) Thankyou Tranquility Dental

You can tell she loves her job and meeting people with the brightest smile. The rest of the staff is so caring and Dr. 'P' is understanding of all medical and psychological effects of being at the dentist. Definitely, will be my 'new' dental family

Negative experience: I usually have a great experience at Tranquility, but when I expressed that the picking started to hurt, I was dismissed and the pressure didn't change. She didn't ask me if I was okay, and it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.

Fantastic experience: I popped my crown on my tooth and needed to have it put back on. I was visiting Olympia from Arizona and I didn’t know if they would be able to get me in soon or if they took Aetna Medicare. They got me an appointment the next day which was awesome! Their facility is immaculate! They really do a great job creating a calm environment for patients. I mean come on….nobody likes going to the dentist! They accepted my insurance and I was out-of network. When my crown was put back on it only cost me $84 which was great! The only thing that I recommend they do with their menu for patients waiting in the seat for the dentist is either sushi or a T-bone steak! If I lived in Olympia I would go here for my dental needs, hands down!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had 4 crowns down here now. The temporary and permanent teeth has stayed strong with no discoloration which is a big plus for me. The staff are very friendly and do amazing work.

Negative experience: Be careful when getting a quote on work. They gave me a quote for a partial and a bridge. The partial was fine I paid what the quote was but after they started to do the work on the bridge instead of $488 I was told they wanted $2000! When I disputed the price be cause I had the quote and after looking at the quote they gave a quote for a crown not the bridge. I got the quote for the bridge which was 5 teeth and the bridge at the same time! I disputed the $2000 and the office person said that they would discuss with the office Mgr. When I came back I was told that the office Mgr said it was the full $2000 regardless of the wrong quote they gave me. So I have to come up with another $1500 when I was not expecting it! Be careful of any quote that you are given. Read the small print really carefully so that you don't get the old bait and switch or so it seems!

Fantastic experience: Tranquility is the right name for this place. The environment is low-key, quiet and serene, and the music is restful, so that the (inevitable) stress of dental treatment is minimized. The staff is very nice and reflects the diversity of our local neighborhood. I go home feeling squeeky clean! DeShaun was especially helpful this time.

Negative experience: I was basically told “good luck” a couple years ago when I had inquired about dental implants. It’s going to be a huge ordeal, cost lots of money, talk to the finance department to see if they can help (didn’t say I was going to need help financially). Good luck to this dentistry continuing to do well, my implants are now taken care of (without the need of the extra work suggested here), elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I'm a classic white coat syndrome type of person but especially for dentist due to bad experiences as a child. My wife found this place for me and I was very happy with my cleaning and the overall experience. The hygienists were super friendly and made me feel at ease. There is also the option for a neck pillow, massage chair, blanket, etc. Just tiny things like that can make the whole dental work feel a lot less stressful. I highly recommend this place overall and especially for anyone with a fear of dentists!

Fantastic experience: Staff are always kind and courteous. Everyone is very communicative and upfront about financial information. I enjoy having the spa options to choose from to enjoy while getting work done. The office is very relaxing and the staff treat you carefully if you do you have any fear of dental work. Fantastic experience: I have been to a lot of dentist because of always moving for my job. Tranquility is one of the best. They make it as comfortable as can be. They have a lot of things that you can ask for such as a blanket, Pillow, noise canceling headphones, Netflix, and so much more so you can be comfortable as can be. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Always hated going to the dentist, but this team has really eased that anxiety. I’ve been going to them for a few years now; some replacements of old fillings, a bridge and now just routine quarterly cleanings. I would recommend this team to anyone that is afraid, needs work or just regular visits. They will take good care of you.

Negative experience: Will charge insurance for services not provided. Took me four trips to get copy of services provided. They will look to charge what insurance covers not really what's needed. Also every year when insurance coverage resets some how they loose the history of x-rays and will charge again for new ones. Refunded only one of charged services that were not provided. Don't recommend, try somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dental office I've ever been to. I never sit in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes. They start working on you and offer a complimentary comfort menu as soon as you sit in the chair. This menu has netflix, chapstick, blankets and several other relaxing items. The staff is on point and very helpful. I never miss an appointment due to the reminders they send via text. I recommend tranquility dental to anyone searching for a new dentist.

Negative experience: Beware they lie to veterans. My husband switched dentists because they advertised last year. No out-of-pocket for veterans. We have private insurance but he needed some work that was going to be a 50% copay. They did not schedule it last year like he wanted. They pushed it into this year and now are denying that they can help at all with any of the out-of-pocket. What a way to appreciate service of a disabled veteran who now has worse teeth waiting than if they just stayed with their honest dentist

Negative experience: I felt extremely judged to be honest by both the hygienists and dentist. I have a pretty big fear with the dentist and I had two friends recommend this office because of how happy they were but I truly don't know if I will be back after my next appointment. I asked if I could use my headphones and they said I wouldn't really need them buy I could if I wanted to… I also was never offered anything off of their comfort menu. I'm just not sure this would be the best office for someone with a major fear in dentistry

Fantastic experience: The staff is always friendly and the work is great. I particularly like the sunglasses that go over my glasses to help with the light and being able to watch Netflix why they do the procedures. I would definitely recommend tranquillity to anyone who has previous dental anxiety.

Negative experience: I initially went in for hemorrhoids but as it turns out I was having problems with my teeth. (I talk out my rear often) After a brief consultation we decided it was best to pull all of my teeth and go for implants. Done. Now the problem is that no one explained that each implant is about 15k so I'm eating mush until my dentures come in. Caveat emptor!

Fantastic experience: I had the greatest first visit, with Dr. providing a thorough exam and no upselling as some practices do. The hygienist Kaitlyn was top notch along with assistant. Felt like I was at a spa. Wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: The service and treatment I’ve received at Tranquility Dental has always been top-of-the-line. Their admin staff is helpful and always available. The dental care the staff provides is as pain-free as it can be, thorough, and everyone is friendly. Dr. Sophie and Sidney as a team are especially great! They go above and beyond to explain the procedures they will be doing for you, they work very well together and help make you feel comfortable, while at the same time working quickly and taking care of whatever you need. I went in for an emergency filling and I was in-and-out in an hour, with no pain!

The facility was not what I expected because they exceeded our expectations as a non traditional dentistry office. From the receptionist, who squeezed us in on the schedule due to my mistake, and the dental hygienist and doctor who were very animated and patient with our needs. Fantastic experience: My first visit was incredible. Who says that about a visit to the dentist?! I have dental and medical related anxiety (lucky me). When you stack my sensory needs as a neurodivergent individual on top of that, you might begin to understand how essential it is to find compassionate care that prioritizes my diverse needs. The facility is incredibly soothing. The waiting rooms have an almost spa like atmosphere with the lighting dimmed and the furniture spaced. It's clean without being sterile feeling or impersonal. The exam rooms have doors which creates additional privacy during care. The chair fits us plus sized folx. They are comfortable, spacious, and come equipped with massage and heat. Then there is the care team! The hygienist was phenomenal and really welcoming. She made sure I was comfortable, took x-rays, and set expectations for my visit. Her gentle and friendly nature put me at ease. Then I saw Dr. Sophie Prellwitz. She was kind, compassionate, eager to learn about how they can be most responsive to my needs, and light hearted. She walked me through the care plan, ensuring to memorialize my medical history and accommodation needs in my file. She took the time to not only ask questions, but to really engage in conversation around my history, needs, concerns, and preferences. After 5 years of trying to find the right fit in a dental provider, I am beyond excited to find someone who gets it! I look forward to visiting again to get the care I need. Fantastic experience: I've never been so comfortable with the Dentist. Dr.Sophie is absolutely great, she is knowledgeable and very gentle. I'm so happy to have found such a great team of people to work on my dental health. I would recommend them to anyone. I've always been nervous walking in, this place is very tranquil, they live up to their name. If this all isn't enough, they actually have a menu of things to be helpful during your visit to assist with anxiety and stress...I saw this on the way out today, so next time I'll try ordering from it!

Fantastic experience: Best dental team ever. New to them in 2016 and still here in 2024. I used to have a 'thing' about the dentist but not anymore. Betty has been my hygienist last few visits - top notch. And Petra is still there, who helped me get over that dental thing way back when. The Lacey office is super convenient, too. Easy access right on the roundabout at Galaxy Drive - easy in, easy out. (With luck, you get a room with a view of it, too!) If you’re in the market for a solid dental practice, give these folks a try.

Fantastic experience: I was super nervous to go to the dentist as it had been years and my last experience was really bad. Jasiah made me feel so comfortable, understood my anxiety and was with me every step of the way making sure I was doing okay and feeling comfortable! I was offered a pillow with essential oils- I chose lavender and it was amazing! All of the staff were amazing, but he truly made my visit the best. I’m no longer feeling anxious or terrified thanks to tranquility and I’m looking forward to a healthier happier smile!

Fantastic experience: I love everything about this place - what an odd thing to say about a dental office, right?!?Prompt, professional, clean, and thorough. Staff is excellent - especially Betty! All super friendly since day 1 and have held the standard of excellent service ever since. The free comfort menu is a nice added perk too.

Fantastic experience: I appreciate the care I receive here as a dental patient. The hygienist, dental tech, and Dr Tsao communicate what they are doing and make me feel comfortable. Their front administrative staff is kind and ensured all my files and information are in order in a quick and efficient manner.

They were soo nice and didn't as much as pause when I told them it had been awhile since I've gone. They made me feel comfortable and were thorough yet gentle during my cleaning. Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, very professional! I was asked many times if everything was OK and if I was comfortable during my treatments. I wasn't made to wait at all in the lobby for my appointments, and all pricing was fully transparant, tranquility also has a wide range of open appointment dates, no waiting 3, 4 months for an appointment you want to happen soon!

Fantastic experience: I'm almost 30. And I've never felt more comfortable or at ease in a dental office. They have a "comfort menu" with blankets, aromatherapy etc. Speak to you as a person not as a paycheck and waited til I was numb to begin working on me , Dr. Sophie also checked on me several times during procedure and calmed my dental anxiety.

Fantastic experience: From walking in the door to leaving was a great experience. Every person I encountered was happy, talkative and super friendly. Each person was also very knowledgeable and helpful in the individual duties they have from the desk to the chair and back. 10/10 recommend. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: Just when I thought Tranquility Dental could not get any better they did!! They went over and beyond to make me feel relaxed during a stressful time in my life. They were gentle, understanding of my needs on that day and treated with the upmost respect. I love them...

Positive experience: I do love the service that I received from my dental hygienist. The only grip I would have is I had a balance to my account that I did not find out about until after my scheduled cleaning was over. While I do not fault the dental hygienist for this I would’ve like to know about the balance before hand. I received numerous text regarding my appointment prior and all it would’ve taken was a text asking for me to call the office regarding a balance. I am glad I had it to pay but what if I did not? Again, just a simply curiosity text/email would’ve been nice prior especially this close to the holiday season. I will end with this though the service is exemplary and from the office and this little “hiccup”will not stop me from being a patient with the office.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility, I got to meet 4 lovely ladies who were kind, gentle, and easy to talk with. I felt very comfortable with the visit and the treatment plan put together. I’d definitely recommend them.

Positive experience: This is based off of a cleaning and exam- the place smells amazing, apparently they have scent things in the venting system? Not sure if it’s synthetic fragrance or not (which I’m normally sensitive to) but dang it smelled amazing. This looked like Kim kardashians dentist based on the decor. Had Josiah to get me ready- he was super cool. Got me a paraffin dip, my good smelling hot neck roll, etc… you do have to ask for stuff because they don’t just offer it and I didn’t get the ‘massage chair’ (a vibrating exam chair) because I had no idea the exam chair would be the massage chair. I wasn’t offered any headphones or anything to watch, which is neither here nor there. The cleaning was quick and a little rough, and now that I think of it, there was no flossing. The polishing lasted very short… everything actually was very quick and slightly unusual from what I’m used to. Wondering how thorough it was. I have a filling that needs to be replaced (many need it, I’m told) and I’ll update after that if needed.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. I went in and asked for my benefits to be used on the brown stains on my teeth. I was bombarded with sales for deep cleans. They almost didn't take no for an answer. Multiple staff members asking the same question. I ended up leaving with a $445 bill to my insurance with only the most expensive option to get rid of the stains on my teeth. The doc asked for long term care. I said a bridge would be great when he mentioned it. Prior I said I just need the stains off my teeth and I have 4 kids. I cannot afford big dental bills. So I left with only a huge quote for a bridge. No fillings or anything that would get rid of the stains on my teeth. I called and got a big o well. I was told I didn't pay anything out of pocket and my insurance was billed. So they don't know what to say. Word for word.

Fantastic experience: I appreciated the chair options for heat and vibration massage. Everyone was very nice, professional, and the environment was relaxing.

Fantastic experience: My children and I have been going here since 2016 and I have literally nothing bad to say besides there has been a few favorites (dental hygienist) that have moved away. Tranquility is amazing from the extras on the comfort menu to the friendliness and diligence of the staff. I recommend them to everyone and they have offices in multiple areas of Washington

Fantastic experience: I had a bad toothache from an infected tooth. They were able to get me in ASAP. Scheduling online was a breeze. Dr. Sophie Prellwitz and her staff are amazing and care about their patients. I will be making this my final destination for dental care.

Dental Assistant Sydney was very professional and informative with my dental care and plans for moving forward. As well as very communicative regarding my needs and concerns.
