Conversation was about possible future treatment, knowledge is power. Thank you team 6 months later cleaning and exam AOK. Discussed possible future treatment. No surprises please. A pleasure to be in good hands from the moment I entered the office. Boring is good when it comes to teeth. Make a convenient appointment, brush and floss several times a day between appointments, get an expert cleaning and exam, and make a plan. All good at present but since I’m “long in the tooth” pun intended, some work is in my future no doubt. Meantime I have complete confidence that my dental health is in expert hands and astute and caring eyes are on me. Great office, great dentist, great team.

Positive experience: BEST DENTIST IN WASHINGTON AREA! Since going here, my teeth have been in the best shape they have been for years. I can finally chew everywhere without any problems or pain. Dr Korpar is an amazing dentist. My recent cleaning was not quite up to the usual excellent care. I had a different person who was a bit abrupt as if in a hurry to get done. Previous hygienists were more gentle and caring. I submit this in hopes it will be received as helpful feedback on the future. I LOVE Dr Korpar.

Update Sept. 2025, although the care I was very good as always, I am disappointed that they will no longer except UPMC insurance as this will be a big problem for my wife and I.

Fantastic experience: 09.22.2025 I called into WFDC requesting an emergency appointment, believing I chipped a tooth. Being the weekend, I was given a few pecautions and asked if I could hold off until Monday. I thought I could, being I was pain-free at the moment. I was squeezed in w/ Dr Korpar on Monday. Arelys x-rayed me, then Dr Korpar examined me. All looked good! Surprise! "No charge," said Dr K... and reminded me that he is available if I need him. Thanks, Dr. You and your staff are most appreciated. 09.02.24 Gretchen, my hygienist, ALWAYS does a superb job. She doesn't only get 100% of my vote, but triple that. I could not ask for a more conscientious, competent service provider. Her clients are her No.1 priority. Thank you, Gretchen. Dr Korpar is a phenomenal dentist. Simply, he "knows his stuff." His work is thorough. He provides exceptional advice on any of my questions. And, promises to be "johnny-on-the-spot" for any service I may need. Oh! His name is Tom. Thanks, Dr Tom, for all you do. I am so happy to have found WFDC. 07.10.23 Gretchen, my hygienist, was efficient, thorough, friendly, and customer-oriented. Dr Korpar, as always, is superb, listens, answers all my concerns, and definitely is professionally skilled. 2022: I had an emergency dental problem today and was fitted into Dr Thomas Korpar's busy schedule. He and Elisa (sp) worked efficiently and resolved my issue. I have been to many dentists in the past but Washington Family Dental "Care" far surpasses any of them. Thank you so much, Dr Tom and team. You're the best.

Fantastic experience: The dentist office is very fancy and cozy. The staff are very nice and so polite. They didn't accept my insurance so I had to pay out of pocket just a tad bit expensive, but it was worth it. The dentist that worked on my teeth was really great didn't feel anything. He was very polite and understanding.. I give him 10 stars.. plus you don't have to wait hours to get in and out, they're very quick and good at what they do..

Positive experience: I went to get my teeth cleaned. It was very clean and appeared to have up-to-date technology. The receptionist was very friendly to me. My teeth felt very clean after. I felt sort of pushed around with the X-rays. They took numerous X-rays and then added a panoramic Xray without even telling me what it was. They didn’t offer me a led apron or ask if I even wanted it (the panoramic) and I think it was totally unnecessary. There was no risk assessment. My sister said they cray her every year even tho she’s never had a cavity. I have a lot of health anxiety and after looking up research from pubmed showing higher rates of meningiomas and thyroid cancer specifically with panoramic X-rays, I feel sort of shaken up. I wish I just hadn’t gone to the dentist. It wasn’t worth that stress.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Korpar is an excellent dentist who pays attention to detail when taking care of your teeth. He is warm, friendly and keeps you informed of each step during any procedure.

Fantastic experience: WFD office staff, hygienists and dentist always friendly and kind. I've referred family to give them a try and they've said it was a great experience and will go there from now on. I've only waited a maximum of 5 minutes for my appointments. My appointments are on time, every time. The office staff will give you a printed quote from your insurance company with the details of what they will and will not pay. Nobody's ever excited to go to the dentist but, Washington Family Dental is a place I don't mind going.

I was told during my visit that I would not be seeing the dentist with whom I made the appointment: the dentist who knows my history and my mouth. This is unacceptable. I should been given the option in advance to reschedule my appointment rather than to be told within the appointment that I am going to be seeing a different dentist. This cannot happen again.

Negative experience: I had a tooth giving me trouble so I went to Washington Dental with intentions of having it extracted. They talked me into saving my tooth with a root canal. The root canal and the crown, cost me about 3 thousand dollars. Upon completion...the crown was too small... and food got stuck in between constantly...and then two short years later my root canal failed. Maybe 3k isn't a lot of money to some of you, but for this place to convince me they can save my tooth....charge me 3k...and then have it break in 2 years and worst of all...there is ZERO recourse you can take...I'm going to have an awfully tough time trusting this place again with my dental care. My disappointment level is beyond words. Also..when I was paying my deductible for having my tooth pulled today....I had questions for the person I was paying but all she was concerned about was me putting my card in the slot and signing. After she was satisfied the transaction was complete....only then would she listen to what I had to ask. My disappointment with this place is beyond words.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Washington Family Dental Care was fantastic! This was my first appointment after receiving a glowing review from my girlfriend. Upon arrival, they efficiently uploaded my pre completed paperwork and told me to have a seat. Within minutes (and at my scheduled time) was welcomed back for my appointment. The staff was welcoming and personable. I worked with a tech to have x-rays done and she worked quickly and effectively. When there were tech issues saving my x-rays, they were apologetic. The dentist came out to introduce himself and apologize for the technical difficulties. We ran my x-rays again without issue. They did not try to upsell me on my care and I feel they were honest with me. I was told I should consider a nightguard for grinding. Concern for grinding is not new to me but they kindly explained the various reason it could be happening and how to mitigate it. I was impressed that they told me they can do a custom fitting guard but that they can also be obtained from a third party for cheaper and, while sometimes not as comfortable, would be cheaper to try first before following up if I need a custom on. My cleaning went smoothly and as a surprise the practice offered me a fluoride treatment at no charge for the technical issues; unnecessary, I told them, but wonderfully appreciated. The care, knowledge, and customer service was top notch. It is wonderful to find a quality provider on the first try! Already scheduled my 6 month follow up!

Fantastic experience: I am new to the neighborhood and needed to find a new dental practice. This was my first visit and it was a very good experience. The staff was friendly and made me feel comfortable while waiting for my appointment. The dental technician was also great and very punctual. I had all the X-rays done fairly quickly and the dentist examined my mouth. I found the dentist to be personable too and am glad I decided to go with this practice.

Fantastic experience: I love this office! Everyone is so nice and they actually care. Dr korpar is super nice and always explains the procedures, makes sure you're completely numb, and always makes sure he answers all your questions. I've been to a lot of different dental places in my life and so far this is my favorite. The office itself is very warm and welcoming. I've been going in for an implant procedure and I'm happy to report that everything is going smoothly. I'm really glad I found this place, I won't go anywhere else ever again.

I went in for a consultation because my teeth were hurting me and his whole entire staff was very welcoming and made sure I understood everything that was being said. I haven’t been to the dentist in a very long time and I was extremely embarrassed about my teeth but everyone who I’ve encountered was very professional and never made me feel bad for the way my teeth were. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered such amazing communication from an office before coming here! I’d recommend anyone who feels guilty for not going to the dentist for an extended period of time and is nervous about their teeth to definitely come here!

Fantastic experience: My appointment for my cleaning went well from start to finish including scheduling. The price quoted to me for my appointment was exactly the same when I was seen so there were no surprises. My hygienist was thorough and personable throughout. My exam went well and all of my questions were answered by the Doctor who did my exam. I am a cash patient as well and they are very reasonably priced. Thank you all!

So this change was enormous for him. He was super nervous, pacing, fidgeting. But the staff made him so comfortable, so at ease!
