Fantastic experience: My son had an injury to his tooth and his dentist was out of town. Dr. Vande Riet and his staff were very accommodating and got him in and fixed his broken tooth quickly and without any issues.

Fantastic experience: The moment you walk through the doors of the office, it is a warm friendly atmosphere. Everyone from the receptionists to the Dr. Van de REIT were exceptionally professional and thorough.

Fantastic experience: The treatment at this facility is great. That's why I continue to drive 90 miles to get my general dentistry done. Dr Vande Riet, like all his technicians, is always friendly and completely explains the procedure that he is performing on your teeth. I highly recommend for any general dental needs in Junction City.

The staff there is awesome, they made me feel like I had been going there for years. In reality it was our first day meeting my dental hygienist was Mandy. Fantastic experience: I have been experiencing dental problems as I get older and it has had a very negative effect on my mental health. I was told by several other dentists that I would need complete sets of dentures and/or implants. The cost of those would be impossible for me. I recently moved back to Junction City and I saw the dental office and just walked in to see if there was anything they could do for a particular tooth… Immediately, I felt a great sense of positive energy. The receptionist was friendly and kind. Immediately, I felt better in a way that is difficult to put in words. She really listened to me and had so much honest empathy. She was able to schedule me for an appointment. What I immediately noticed was how friendly and respectful all the employees were to me and to each other. I like going to places where the employees are kind and respectful to each other… I felt like they all loved their jobs/professions and they were happy and smiling . Different personalities, but all had a reassuring professionalism and a sense of humor. I am normally very nervous and full of anxiety when I go to the dentist. When I went in for my appointment, the atmosphere and interactions between the employees made me smile and feel very relaxed… immediately. I went into a room and the Dental Assistant was so kind and a great listener. She really cared. She took x-rays and explained them to me. Then I met the Dentist. Rik G. Vande Riet D.D.S He went into detail explaining the x-rays and his conclusions on what some options were. He was very honest and optimistic and a great great listener. He gave me some options that will make it possible for me to keep most of my teeth. He gave me such a boost of confidence and hope and optimism for the future. His staff made a lot of phone calls and did things that normally I would have had to do myself. Call other doctors, insurance, all the things that saved me a lot of time and emotional energy. I feel like my appointment changed my life. I haven’t had any dental work done yet, but I am confident and I’m eager to go back to the dentist office.. But, more than anything else, the atmosphere of the office and the friendly interactions between the staff… immediately made me feel gratitude that I had found this place. Everyone in this office are great listeners and they sincerely CARE. Thank You! July 7th 2025 Since my first review I have been back to Dr. Rik G Vanderbilt Riet and his staff several times. They have truly changed my life! The ENTIRE staff is so friendly and helpful and CARING. They go out of their way to help me in every way possible. Along with being so kind to me, they are kind to each other. It is such a positive environment and I feel so blessed and grateful that God led me to the greatest Dentist and kindest staff ever. When I first went, it was just to ask a question. But, it is such a positive place and I was greeted with such genuine kindness that I just knew this was an answer to my prayers. Everyone there is so professional and caring…and skilled in what they do. I can’t say enough kind words about them and how they truly changed my life.

Fantastic experience: Most pleasant dental cleaning I've ever had, the hygienist used something called Guided Biofilm Therapy - basically pressure washed my teeth rather than having to endure to buzz and the feeling of the power brush. Very pleasant!

I was a patient back in 2015 and was absolutely blown away at the care I received! I had to remind myself of this while making my appointment as this time, I was in some major pain! Fantastic experience: Time and time again I experience a professional environment, wonderful staff, and they help me get through my appointment without having a panic attack. My dislike of dental instruments/sounds are real and they ensure my time there is not traumatic. The staff are quick to remind you of appointments, reschedule if you require it, and place off the waitlist when someone cancels. The building/office/rooms are clean, organized, and well-maintained. If you've been in a less then clean dental office, you know the concerns one can have when venturing into a new one; rest easy, you are in good hands. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: They do NOT do emergency dental exams. Despite their webpage having an entire section on it. When asked for a recommendation on an emergency dentist since they were not even though being listed as one the woman on the phone told me to call my insurance company and ask them. I understand not wanting to send people to another business but advertising a service you don't offer and then being condescending isn't the best customer service.

Once we were called back the dental assistant was extremely friendly and kind to my son he absolutely loved her. The dentist came in to check his teeth and gave us helpful advice. Throughout the procedure which was over 3 hours, Dr. Rik and staff went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and encouraged me to take breaks when needed. His assistant, Tammy, was very attentive to my needs and very professional. The entire staff makes me feel like family. From the front desk with Vanessa, Tiffany , and Ashley to my hygienist who stopped by to say hello when I was in the chair, I am treated professionally and respectfully while still having a good laugh or two. I was certain I was going to need a new crown. $$$$ Dr. Vande Rite is a very HONEST dentist!! He was able to glue my crown back on! My last dentist would have insisted I need a new crown and probably a root canal. $$$ I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Vande Rite! So glad I found him!! 4-15-23 My crown fell off again! :-( 4-17-23 Called office and got in right away. 4-18-23 I was sure I was going to need a new crown, but Doc glued it back on...free of charge! Hope it is going to hold this time. I asked him about another tooth and he gave me some excellent advise. He is kind, thorough, and helpful. I adore Dr. Vande Rite! 11-27-23 Everyone is competent and friendly. I love this dentist's practice! You can't go wrong!!

Negative experience: Jill, the Dental Hygienist, is excellent. Dr. Vande Riet, on the other hand is not. I had a filling done and within a few months I lost the filling. He redid the filling and within a month, it came out as well. The redo was free of charge since I lost the filling so soon after he did it. They tried to bill our insurance company even after they said it was free of charge. We left the practice shortly after and I had our new dentist fix the filling and I have had no more problems. As of lately, I have lost a crown that I had done with Dr. Vande Riet. I only had the crown for over a year. I would not recommend this dentist. He sees too many patients at one time and doesn't perform quality work as a result.

Doctor and staff will take the time to listen to your problems; explain what procedures may be required; show you on x-rays where problems exist; tell you what is, or will be happening, during exams! And plenty of other information. Everyone has a good sense of humor as well. My last appointment, half a tooth fell off. Called for an appointment expecting something way out in future, but was able to see the doctor within 2 days of my tooth problem. Doctor explained what he was going to do to correct problem and, about 30 minutes later, problem fixed. Have been going to this doctor for roughly 15 years and never had any type of bad experiences.
