Fantastic experience: I love carp Dental! After having the same dentist for 38 years, I switched to Carp Dental in East Norriton .There I found a warm staff who truly cared about me! They were helpful in Many ways. The staff made me feel like I was the only patient they had. The equipment was ‘state of the art’ and beyond! As a new patient, they took lots of x-rays and took the time to explain to me everything that they saw, which needed to be addressed! They did not keep me in the dark. I needed work done and Dr Yu Was precise and once again made me feel like I was the only patient he had. The staff made me feel welcome and important.. The office manager, Monica, explained to me about their payment plan and it definitely fit my budget- thank GOD! She was great!. I feel quite confident going back for whatever I need done at Carp Dental in the future! I highly recommend this office for any dental needs that you may have concerns about!

Fantastic experience: My local dentist in Lansdale, that I saw for almost two decades, only accepts one insurance, which I lost after my retirement. I researched, by asking folks about their experience locally, and I settled on Carp Dental....it's worth the trip. The My dentist, Dr. YU, is great, and the remainder of the staff from reception to check out are friendly and courteous, lastly the facility is clean, modern, and an overall pleasant atmosphere...A+++++ Geoff P.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Carp Dental. From the moment I walked in, the office felt welcoming, clean, and organized. The front desk team is incredibly friendly and makes the check-in process quick and easy. They actually greet you with a smile and treat you like a person!!!! The hygienist was gentle, thorough, and took the time to explain everything she was doing. I’ve had cleanings at other places that felt rushed or uncomfortable this was the complete opposite. Dr. Yu is outstanding. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his patients’ comfort and long-term dental health. He walked me through my exam results, answered all my questions, and never once made me feel pressured into unnecessary work. You can tell he really takes pride in what he does. Overall, Carp Dental is the best dental experience I’ve had. If you’re looking for a dentist who combines professionalism, compassion, and quality care, this is the place. Highly recommended! Negative experience: I am requesting to speak with a regional manager/ CEO. There was a client that went in over a year ago who managed to use my information to get a LOAN with no signature while I was in a different country. The information provided always deceptive. I have spoken to the office manager who refuses to comply with my need to remove and transfer this loan but demands it be paid in full. I will be filing a formal complaint if this issue is not taken care of due to the negligence of the staff you hire and the misrepresentation of the service you provide as well as the lack of care to escalate this issue. All they care about is getting the service paid for no matter the means! I will continue to BBB until the issue is resolved

Negative experience: My son went in for a check up and was told he needed a couple of fillings gave me a paper explaing how much it would be $215 . We come in the next day he get everything done and charge me 331 . I showed the lady the paper she had given me and all could say is im not sure if didn't give you those prices when i clearly had the paper she had given me -___- now my insurance billed me that i still owe another 200$ because they billed them another price .

Fantastic experience: Truly the best dentist I’ve ever been to. All the workers are so nice it feels like they’re my best friends. I use to have a fear of the dentist before I came here but now i’ve left every appointment happy and satisfied. I can rave about this dentist all day.

Negative experience: Find somewhere else to go. They used to be really good but I and other family members have had numerous problems over the years with them. They told one family member they had to charge for 4 filings on one tooth because it was a larger tooth, they didn’t know we have a dentist in the family that we could call. They also wanted to drill out fillings that weren’t bothersome, just to refill them. They are all about money and trained to upsell every chance they get.

Fantastic experience: All personnel is extremely polite and considerate. Despite that most of them are young people, they are very verse, precise and meticulous in their work. I would recommend this dental Team to everybody!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff very clean facilty . Dr . Leema is a wonderful dentist very gentle peronable and puts you at ease.and explains to you eveything shes doing or about to do. The hygientist who cleaned my teeth did a great job The only issue i had was i had a emergancey w pain and Dr. Leemau was not in and the other dentist was unable to see me or fit me in due to his busy schedule which at that point I had to seek another dentist I could not take the pain . I went to another pracrice but they ref me out to a root canal speialist . I had to do alot of running around to get out of pain and seen to get the problem tooth taken care of which kind of upset me however over all its a great office . .

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place. Everyone is amazing from the front desk to billing to the doctor. And my visits are after work, which is also the end of their work day, so it makes it more special that every single employee is great even as theyre coming to the end of their long day. I highly recommend this office. I need a lot of work done and everyone was really gracious during what was a sensitive issue. 6/16/25: this place is still amazing. 10/10 experience today, like usual. Had an extraction done same day. Like I called, they got me in that day, and then extracted that day too. And I was in so much pain so I’m just so grateful. Everyone is so good at their job here, I really just can’t say enough good things about all of these people.

Fantastic experience: Needed an ER dentist to reattach my crown. It popped on a flight to PHL. Showed up at the office and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They saw me quickly and got my tooth fixed/reattached the crown. Staff were great!

Fantastic experience: Modern Dental facility with professional staff who help you every step of the way. Lots of reminders and confirmations for appointments- God knows I need it. Professional dentists give assessments for current issues that need to be addressed and future issues to watch out for. Recently had an extraction- expertly done- little pain- healed well. The dentist called me the next day to check on me which was nice. Ample parking- good front desk operations. The dental hygienists do their job well which is great. I've been going here for over 10 years.

Fantastic experience: Very pleasant atmosphere. Great dentist that does excellent work . I would imagine most people don’t like to go to the dentist because of pain bad news and expense. I had a lot of work done there and was not in any pain. They are very caring. I would recommend them.

Negative experience: Where do I start. My sweet husband got me and himself dental insurance through carp dental. Then he scheduled a cleaning for me (that was our understanding) and told them that my retainer fell out and there is some glue I need to be removed (assuming that’s stuff that is done during a cleaning - nothing else needed extra). Once I got to my “cleaning” appointment I was told they can’t do the cleaning today, they’ll just remove the glue. Then I scheduled my cleaning for a couple months later as I was told they need to make x-rays first and I wanted to have those done during my 2nd trimester (yes, I’m pregnant and read the 2nd trimester is the best to do such with less risk). I show up to my appointment and was told they called earlier that day and left 2 voicemails to see if I could come in earlier (now little back story, it was difficult to schedule this appointment due to their availability and my work schedule). Apparently, they had my husbands number on file and called him instead of me (he doesn’t have any voicemails on his phone from them tough, we checked later on) - we both were at our prenatal appointment and unavailable. I then drove straight to the appointment to be early/on time. So, once there (I ended up being 30 min early, ready to wait a bit) I was told I have to come back another time (we live 30-45 min away!!). My husband and I both work in health care and we could never just take an appointment away from a patient that we weren’t able to reach and reschedule the same day - without the patient’s consent! I am beyond upset with their professionalism and service. I asked for the reason of this cancellation and was told because they had a bunch of cancellations earlier today and tried to move up the schedule - so long story short, they wanted to go home early! I rescheduled my appointment but to be truthful, I’d rather not go back to further waste my time - only reason I go back is because we already paid for the insurance and have 2 cleanings included. Once those are done I’ll NOT be back! Too bad, this place was referred by family and we decided to go with them even though it’s quite a hike there. We and our growing family will look for another dentistry!!! Very unsatisfied!!

Fantastic experience: Went to have a tooth drilled out to get capped. I was so nervous, but the dental assistant Chantel, was so friendly and easy to talk with. Made me feel comfortable, the dr was awesome, didn’t feel the needles, he did his job, and I wasn’t nervous at all. I highly recommend this dentist office.

Negative experience: The care I received from the dental assistant was very good. Unfortunately the lack of attention and communication from the dentist was very off putting. No introduction even though we had never met, talked over and around me but not to me, left without any acknowledgment. It is difficult to trust a medical professional with such poor patient skills. I felt like I was on their assembly line and not an actual person.

Negative experience: My big complaint is the billing department is really hard to communicate with them I have called them several times and the answer is always the same she is in lunch (I try to call on different time of the day not just around lunch), on vacation or just not available that she will contact me back and she never did. My insurance made the last payment months ago and I haven’t received it yet.

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist sucks but NOT at carp. Fast, friendly and patient service, my implant and invisalign treatments went really well and I am happy with the results

Dr. Yu and his staff are always smiling, and it is always just the greatest experience! ************************ My last visit at Carp Dental was just a great as every other visit. Dr. Yu is the best there is! Everyone at Carp Dental is happy, polite and professional making dental work a happy occasion instead of a stressful one. Fantastic experience: Had a root canal done by Dr. Lima, she couldn’t have been more professional and more understanding of My concerns with the procedure. Experienced zero pain and nothing but top shelf customer service. 100% recommend!

Negative experience: This is not fair. I was charged $73.00 for cleaning today. I was never informed that my insurance won't cover for this visit and only after I got my cleaning done, I came to know about this. This is not an ethical practice to do. Money is the only motivation here. I am taking my care to some where else. Thanks!

Fantastic experience: New to the practice today. What a wonderful office! From start to finish, check-in and check-out staff, Lynn my hygienist, and Dr. Cao were friendly, professional, skilled, and took the time to answer all my questions and clearly explain procedures and management plans. Couldn’t have asked for more! I’ll definitely recommend the practice to others. Update: 6 month check today. Lynn again showed excellent skill, knowledge, and care for all my concerns. I have recommended my family!

Negative experience: TLDR; this practice doesn’t need your business; they have so many patients, they won’t see you as a human being. Time for me to find a new dentist. This had been my family’s dentist for over 10 years. In ~10 years of being a patient here, I have never missed an appointment. Recently, when I was on my way to a scheduled cleaning, they called me to say that we would have to reschedule because the hygienist got into a car accident on the way to work. (Of course, I was concerned about the hygienist and glad she's OK). The appointment was rescheduled for 8:45 this morning, and they texted me to let me know (“Hello Christine, this is Carp Dental. This is a reminder of your appointment on Sep 5th at 8:45 AM. Please text YES to confirm, or call our office at 610-275-1565 to make any changes to your upcoming appt”). I usually reply to these messages immediately, almost always by text, sometimes by phone. I wasn’t sure if I had replied, but I received a subsequent text message that said, “Hello Christine, this is Carp Dental. Just one last friendly reminder of your appointment tomorrow at 8:45 AM. Ask our team about the FREE Invisalign consultation, we now offer a monthly payment option. We look forward to your visit!” So, I assumed I must have a confirmed appointment if they were reminding me of it. And, later in the day I received a voice mail reminder (“this is carp dental just calling to confirm your appointment for tomorrow. If you need to reschedule, please call…”) This morning, while on my way over to my 8:45 appointment, I got a call from them saying that because I was “unconfirmed” they gave away my appointment! Is there ANYTHING in those message indicating that I have an unconfirmed appointment and must confirm it to keep it? Would it be too hard just to say that? How about, “if you don’t actively confirm your appointment, it will be given away to someone else.” How hard would that be? Not hard at all. This is the 3rd incident in recent months that has made me realize Carp Dental is changing for the worse. The first was during my most recent appointment, when I was getting work done, the dentist and assistant were having chit-chat with each other while working on my teeth. Typical office gossip, nothing interesting or at all related to the job they were doing at the time. It is a red flag for me when medical professionals just shoot the breeze as if they’re working on a car or something. It’s like they do not recognize their patient as a human being. When I see this, I usually want nothing to do with the place, but I figured it was a new dentist building rapport with a new hygienist, so I overlooked it. The 2nd incident was similar to mine today. My husband showed up for a cleaning appt and told them he’d had a heart attack recently. They said that they had to cancel the appointment because it was so soon after his heart attack. So they rescheduled it for him on the spot. On the afternoon before the rescheduled appointment, they called to say that they had to cancel it because of his heart attack (no, he didn’t have another heart one). For some reason, it was STILL too soon after the heart attack (you know, the one they knew about when scheduling this appointment). They also said now he would have to get a letter from his cardiologist allowing them to clean his teeth. This requirement for a letter was never mentioned until this point (hours before the appt). My husband asked if our kid (home from college and overdue on a cleaning) could take the appointment in his place. Nope, the office had already given the appointment to someone else! It seems that “rules” are invented on the fly to resolve a double-booking situation. When a medical practice of any kind is completely dehumanizing people, they probably have too many patients & just don’t care about them. Double-booking appointments & looking for any excuse to make it the patient’s fault is not acceptable. Time for me to find another dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I just moved away, but Carp Dental was my dentist for a few years. I never had a problem (pain or discomfort) when getting my cleanings there, but the main reason I want to write this review is for Dr. Sagor. She is incredible. It is rare to find someone who so genuinely cares for their patients and is wiling to go above and beyond the normal duty of care. I had a tooth issue that lasted a year and a half and ended in a root canal. Dr. Sagor did more for me to help me through that than anyone else in the process.

Fantastic experience: I had to take my 3 yo to appointment, and decided to make an appointment for her directly following mine. They were very patient answering all the questions my she had, and helping keep her contained during my appointment when I was in the chair. During her appointment they also did a great job explaining everything they were going to do, so that my she was never surprised by what was happening. My cleaning was very thorough. Probably one of the most in-depth cleanings I've ever had. I highly recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient at Carp since moving to the area 14 years ago. The staff is great, very caring and sensitive to any discomfort that I may have. One thing that I noticed the last time I was there is how much the staff helps each other. Almost every time that I am there I hear someone say “I have some free time, who needs help" many times. They are all wonderful!

Fantastic experience: I’ve gone to Carp Dental for more years than I can count starting back when they were on Markley street and my dentist was Dr Carp. My daughter and I drive from West Philly because we don’t want to switch dentists even though we are no longer in Norristown. It’s worth the drive twice a year. And now we both got Invisalign!! The assistants are super too and you see them even more than the dentist!!

Always good conversation during cleanings. I keep going back, so there's that, too. Another crown this year. Zip, zip. No pain with the temp, and the permanent one is perfect. An enjoyable experience.

Fantastic experience: Updated Review: I was in dire need of 2 crowns (habitual nighttime grinder) and was rather "afraid' to get procedure done. The staff was absolutely amazing the day of my procedure. Dr Saygor was very comforting and my tech (Tori) was equally kind and comforting. My procedure went better than expected. Another top notch experience at Carp! thanks everyone (especially Monica for pushing me to take the steps needed to fix my issues before they became root canal worthy) Great place, great staff. The office is immaculately clean with plenty of parking, dentists are knowledgeable, kind & compassionate, office staff are all friendly & on top of everything & helpful with appointments, insurance & payments, hygienists are nice & good with cleanings. You're given a treatment plan so you know what service the cost upfront. All around good practice with no complaints after 10+ years of services provided.

Fantastic experience: Let me start off by saying I am scared to death of the dentist! I'm embarrassed to admit but today was my was my first dental visit since Covid. I cannot believe how kindly I was treated at Carp Dental, from the receptionist to the doctor and everyone in between:-) I was listened to and respected, everyone was so reassuring and I immediately knew I found my new dental office!!! Fantastic experience: I was experiencing extreme tooth pain. Dr. Cao saw me the next day and put a plan together and was able to fill me in the next day for a root canal and start the procedure for bridge work. What a relief. Dr. Cao, thank you. I would recommend your service to anyone.

Negative experience: I went to go get my crown placed on my implant here. They have a really strange policy where you pay the whole procedure up front even though they know the insurance covers 50% or 100% of it and I think that's where a lot of the problem started. Dr. Yu seems like a great guy and cares for his patients, but I dont want to go to Carp anymore only because I ran into couple issues with their front desk staff members and their policies that didn't really make sense to me. Edit: one of the front desk worker told me my implant was not covered and I knew that wasn't true because I did enough research on my insurance plans in what it had covered. So I had to go out of my way to show her the dental code that was covered under my insurance plan benefits .

Positive experience: As a loyal patient for the past five years, I have been generally satisfied with the quality of service provided. However, I have noticed a few areas where there is room for improvement: 1. Clear Instructions: It would be greatly appreciated if instructions regarding post-treatment dietary restrictions could be provided in advance. This would help patients plan their meals accordingly and avoid any potential complications. 2. Customer Service: While most of the staff members are friendly and helpful, I have encountered a few instances where the checkout process felt impersonal and focused solely on financial matters. It would be beneficial if all staff members prioritize customer service and ensure a positive experience from start to finish. 3. Patient Focus: It would be ideal if billing discussions could be conducted either before or after the treatment process, rather than during it. This would allow patients to fully focus on their dental care without any distractions or concerns about financial matters.

Fantastic experience: Having braces at a young age, I was never informed that I would need a retainer to keep my teeth in their new straightened position. I started noticing my teeth shifting and became highly concerned. Carp Dental gave me options for protecting my teeth at this stage of life and I truly appreciate all of their help and candor. Fantastic experience: I've had a long relationship with Carp Dental, starting out with them when the office was on Marshall Street. Their present location is very nice with lots of parking, easily accessible, and very up-to-date. This is really the first dental practice where I always have good experiences. I've found their staff to be well trained, professional, and friendly. They can handle all aspects of dental care, so it's all in house and comfortable. When my mother needed dentures, I insisted on taking her to Carp Dental since I knew things would go well, and they did. I know she appreciated the great care she received. In addition, the prices here are fair, affordable, and transparent, so you know in advance what procedures will cost. I'm obviously a very satisfied patient, and highly recommend Carp Dental.

Negative experience: I want to start by saying, I love Dr. Sagor. She is the dentist I was seeing, and she was sure to make me comfortable and listen to my concerns. I developed an emergency while she was out and needed to see a dentist I was unfamiliar with. I had to call multiple times for emergency pain before they could get me in. After calling for a couple of days and begging to be seen, they brought me in on a Friday, drilled on the tooth that was already sending shooting pain through my face (without numbing it & causing even more pain) & sent me home telling me to come back on Tuesday for an extraction. I was already taking antibiotics, but they still sent me home with another prescription for the antibiotics, after seeming quite peeved another provider called them in for me. I had also already had an appointment scheduled for Monday, which was cancelled when I arrived on Friday without my knowledge, forcing me to wait even longer for the extraction. The extraction was hell. The pain was so bad I had to stop him halfway through and I had a full blown panic attack - hysterically crying, hands shaking, gasping for air. I told them to just please finish this so I could get out. Once the dentist left the room, the assistant said "you're still crying? you did great!" and I said it's a panic attack. I can't turn that off. I also told them when I arrived I was having severe stomach pain from all of the advil, tylenol and amoxicillin. They told me to stop taking advil and amoxicillin and to just take tylenol. Here we are 4 days later. The office closed at 12. I (thankfully) already had an appointment with my PCP today at 1:30. I told her that when I woke up this AM, I was in so much pain that I got dizzy and collapsed. She told me this is the body's fight or flight when the pain is so unbearable it forces the body to shut down. She also looked at my mouth and felt my jaw and said it was infected. She called in a stronger antibiotic for me, and told me to call the dentist for help managing the pain. I called and left a message for the on-call doctor at Carp. He called back and I told him all of the above. He said he does believe I have developed a dry socket and to continue with the saltwater rinse and to take the antibiotic but that this pain could last 1-2 weeks. I explained multiple times now that tylenol (literally taking 1500 mg every few hours) is NOT working alone and I can no longer take advil due to the stomach ulcer. He said to call the office at 10 AM on Monday (it's Friday afternoon right now) and they will try to get me in either Monday or Tuesday for dry socket paste but to otherwise "do what I'm doing." I'm literally beside myself over this entire ordeal. I've had oral surgery twice in the past and did not experience pain like this. Previous dental offices also made SURE to address emergency pain swiftly and prescribed something to cool the pain down a bit. I am aware that I will not be pain free until this heals, however there are stronger medications out there that would bring this down to a level where I'm able to function through the day and sleep at night.The worst part is, while I'm expressing all of these concerns, the dental office is pushing invisalign on me and how needing an implant will prevent me from being able to do invisalign down the road. I have expressed numerous times that I'm not interested in invisalign, which shows me profit is more important than patient care. I recommend another provider for emergencies. ETA: I sent the office a message expressing these concerns, and received a thumbs up in return (later said to be an accident). The lack of professionalism is astounding. Later received a vm apologizing for the time it took to schedule the appt, but not the other concerns.

Negative experience: Zero stars if I could. Let me just say that patients need to make sure you call your insurance yourself. They will tell you procedures aren't covered when they are. And they're real quick to try to get you in to do financial paperwork.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Yu is the best dentist EVER! I did not like going as I was a whip! 20 years ago I saw Dr. Yu and he made me LOVE going!!! I’m very sad as I am moving and if I could take him with me I would!!!! Thank- you Dr. Yu for always taking care of me and my entire family! I will miss you! You are THE BEST!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Carp Dental since about 2004. Everyone is great, caring to me , since I am a scaredy-cat. I recently received Invisalign. Dr Sager and her team are awesome. I wouldn’t put my trust in any other Dental office.

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasure working with Dr. Carp and his staff. I don't go regularly as I should (because I hate dentists) but I've been going to him for about 15 years and he takes really good care of my mouth. Update: I now work with Dr Yu because of Dr Carps schedule. He is wonderful. Can’t say I like going to the dentist yet but coming here to their office is actually close!
