Fantastic experience: There’s never enough words to describe how much I love Drs Burau Cosmetic and Family Dentistry. For the majority of my life I’ve had a deep fear of the dentist. I’ve had to be medicated just to get my teeth cleaned and still it would just be too much. Then I found Drs Burau and slowly but surely with each visit.. my fears dissipate, my anxiety subsides a little more each time. The entire staff is like a family and they really do make you feel part of that dynamic. I no longer need tons of meditation to get my teeth cleaned. If I have a problem that needs attention and it’s more than a cleaning it’s met with a full plan of how to get through it. They truly have put every measure in place to ensure patient comfort. Fantastic experience: Drs Burau is incredible! --- I've been putting off establishing care at a new dentist for some time now. Uncomfortable with dental care (like many), I was quite anxious to replace my dentist of 20 years with someone new. Not long after I walk through the door, my fears subsided. Haley was my hygienist and she was fantastic. She kept things light and was so thoughtful throughout the entire process. Dr Dan was great! Very knowledgeable and kind. I had a fantastic experience and I'm so happy I chose this office. Keep up the great work team! (P.S. shout out to the receptionists as well. They were kind and helpful. They got me in on a cancellation a day after I had just scheduled 3 months out.)

Negative experience: I was a loyal customer for years until last year when a crown was redone. I have been in pain for over 7 months now. After 2 months of useless adjusting, they gave up and terminated me. Now I have no bite on that side of my mouth, and nothing has solved the pain. I just wanted relief, not termination. They caused all this pain, then sent me away. I was told by two other dentists that the crown was placed too low, on my gums and jawbone. Ive spent thousands, but as of yet, the damage persists. My life sucks now. I lost the tooth. Im in severe pain. UPDATE: Their response is generic. I was discharged and left in constant pain. They refused to see me when I last called back in pain. UPDATE 8-22-25: Still in pain, and now Ive had 2 teeth extracted to try to resolve the pain. All because they refused to put a filling in a 'virgin' tooth, one which is now extracted.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very friendly, and the hygienist did a wonderful job. She was very sweet, and the experience was pain free. The doctor explained a few recommended procedures. Dr. Burau has the friendliest staff of any dentist office I have been to.

Everyone I interacted with made sure I was comfortable. I was provided with plenty of information regarding my treatment. I am excited I finally found a place that cares! Highly recommend. Fantastic experience: It's simply the first visit, however, I will share that I've been in the area for 2 years. Started up my oral care with another office down the street. Four appointments in and every appointment wasn't the greatest, but came out with a great report of my teeth every time. Then out of the blue it became a challenge to get a call back for another appointment. So I decided to try another office with better reviews. I was introduced to this office by the endless positive reviews by the Grand Blanc community. Walked in to my first visit and everybody was happy! Such a refreshing change. Other offices and businesses in the area definitely do not have their happy campers at the front desks... silly when attitudes are contagious. My first 5 minutes were great and it just kept getting better. I had some areas of concern and the hygienist was on it. Very thorough! VERY! Then I was greeted by Dr. Dan who was amazing. Checking every area of concern, confirming my fears but hey.... you can't get it fixed if you don't address it right? He was very gentle and also very thorough. We got a care plan in place and begin dissolving my fears in a a couple of months. Everything was explained in great detail in understandable terminology, and all with a smile. I felt very much at home and that I was in great hands. I'm very much looking forward to my journey with Dr's. Bureau and feeling confident with my smile again. I'll follow up after my visits but for now 100% A++ for the entire staff. Thank you for being kind, understanding and gentle! 10/10 would recommend. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Our family loves Drs. Burau. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Hygienist are thorough. Dentists are great. Dr. Alex is my personal favorite but they’re all good. Dr. Alex helped me with a particularly rough molar/crown/root canal situation. And he called that evening to check how I was doing. I’ve never had a dentist do that before. If you’re looking for a new dentist in Grand Blanc or Fenton highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient at Dr. Burau's office, and I must say they are all great. everyone from the receptionist, the dental assistant, hygienist to the Dr. is amazing. They treat you with much respect and after checking out the condition of your teeth they work up a plan of action and let you know they will do the work on your time. they do not try to push anything on you or rush you in anyway. I am 67 years old and have seen many dentists in my lifetime this office is by far the best.

Positive experience: They are always friendly, I get right in and out and do a great job. Update: Staff does excellent job and friendly but lately they are getting so annoying with there bombardment of reminders, so bad I almost decided to cancel because of how annoyed I was with the reminders, I literally got 4 text reminders 3 calls and a couple emails reminders.

Fantastic experience: I love this office. All the hygienists are so wonderful, kind and gentle! They are also great with my kids. Dr. Dan is very nice too and always has patience with my kids with all their questions. Also the office sends so many reminders there is absolutely no way you can forget your appointment! I love that!

Negative experience: My 3 daughters all had appointments around the same time. Have been doing this for about two years. That’s the one thing I like about this place - it’s quick. Friendly staff - good cleaning procedures. The only thing they keep sending them out to the waiting room with is “here’s a referral to get those wisdom teeth out”. We don’t do that unless there’s a problem, folks. Last night, on the drive home, one daughter talked about how the dentist used the word “decay” on two of her teeth. I told her that I would call in the morning since no one came out to fill the mom in. I called this morning and the receptionist said “oh yeah, she has two cavities”. I honestly think if I hadn’t called, we wouldn’t have known. They never used the word “cavity” or let her know she needs fillings. Inexcusable. I was the only one in the waiting area for most of the 1.5 hour visit.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go for your dental needs. Everyone involved was professional and took care of my needs. I had a crown that fell out just before thanksgiving and they got me in within 24 hrs for a temporary crown. A few weeks later they installed my permanent crown and took the care/time to make sure it was done correctly. I’m going to continue coming here as they do what is needed to get you where you need to be. Great people/skills. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: A well deserved five stars! I have been to several dentists in GB and I can finally say I found one that I will make my permanent home for my dental care. Everything was great from start to finish. Dr. Dan is the absolute best. The dental assistant that worked with Dr. Dan was excellent. Both of them explained everything in detail as they were proceeding with my treatment. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Looking forward to being a long term patient and also moving my entire family to Drs. Burau.

Negative experience: I called to make an appointment and was told they were in network with our insurance so I made an appt and went in. They lied. The office failed to tell me my insurance was out of network prior to my son’s visit in result leading me to have to pay full price when we have and pay for insurance. I was told this was an error on the front desk receptionist. Due to this error I now have to pay hundreds…. They also said I had to pay an extra percentage charge when paying with a credit card and you have to pay right then and there after your appointment. If I knew I would have found an in network dentist. The front desk receptionist was extremely rude when I spoke to her about the miscommunication. No apology no nothing. So unprofessional and ridiculous I would not recommend at all. *I called to speak to the manager 2x and have not received a call back like Sasha states in her response message. I told the front desk receptionist I would not be paying that bill so spreading lies again saying I said I would pay is not correct it’s hearsay since you did not hear that yourself Sasha. That must be more misinformation from your receptionist once again. This office is a joke.

They receive 5 stars in every category. Professionalism, knowledge, bedside manner, friendly office staff, technology, ease of appointments... I can go on and on. They work with patients together on a plan of care that fits their budget. They treat you like you're family! Excellent first impression❗

Fantastic experience: I was in to get a crown and this was by far the best dental office I’ve ever been to! Dr. Alex and his staff were so kind, caring and gentle while having my tooth drilled extensively! They gave me a blanket and a Netflix view monitor with head phones to watch while they worked. I’m telling you it wasn’t painful at all (with Novocaine) and I was there for about 2.5 hours. It was a long process because of my tooth situation. They were very informative about the whole process- before, during, and after. Highly recommend this office in Grand Blanc!

Fantastic experience: I started coming to this office more recently and have had an amazing encounter with the staff in the office! I had a cleaning on Tuesday and just got my crown put on yesterday! The hygienist I had on Tuesday was wonderful and well spirited! Dr. Charlie is who I see and I appreciate him so much! Him and his assistant worked very well together yesterday and made my dental work a breeze! I was scared prior to coming due to past experiences with other dentist, but I am looking forward to having my work completed!

Fantastic experience: I have had so many experiences trying to get my underbite corrected and the pain I was having in my jaw. I went from having braces, a partial denture to implants and lower dentures and my next option was both upper and lower dentures from many different specialist. Then I was referred to Drs Burau and the best referral I received. Dr. Scott corrected all my problems to a healthy mouth, a happy smile and no more pain issues in my jaw. They get you in to be seen whenever there is an issue and you never have to wait months for an appointment. Their Staff are all very caring and make you feel like you are their only concern. I recommend them very highly for any of your dental needs. Dr Scott is working on a new smile for me again. I'm always pleased with the little details he works for me to make sure everything is right. I am now taking home the temporaries to get the opinion of my family. Dr Scott does everything he can to make the work he's doing right. I have never had a dentist that takes as much time as needed as he does. His staff is great to work with, always so helpful with all my questions and always makes sure to get me an answer from Dr. Scott. Everyone is so pleasant to work with for my dental needs. I highly recommend everyone at the Grand Blanc office for your dental needs. They will always get a 5 * rating from me. My new smile September 2024 After many years with the original dentures Dr Scott made for me, I now have a new set of dentures he made for me, a few adjustments later I couldn't be more happy. I may need another adjustment for them to be a perfect fit, as of today I couldn't be happier. Dr Scott and his staff are incredible, I couldn't be happier. They will always get a 5* rating from me.

Positive experience: Everyone in the office is extremely kind, clean and up to date. The Drs know what they're doing and help discuss a treatment plan with you. If you’re sitting through a long procedure they have a Netflix pair of goggles you can wear and watch whatever you'd like, which helps distract you from the noise and discomfort of those dental drills. I like to make my appointments with my children so we can all be seen at the same time and i don't end up going into the office 4 different times and they always accommodate. One time my youngest fell asleep on their couch and the front desk ladies were so thoughtful and let him stay asleep and said they would watch him for me so i could be seen, I sent the office lunch the next week because that is special and so kind for them to understand what moms have to do. My last cleaning, the hygienists did not give me a goodie bag though :( besides that i have a great experience every time!

Fantastic experience: I haven't been to a Dentist in YEARS due to not having dental insurance and fear but this place made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. Every step of the way they asked how I was feeling and if I was ok with them continuing with what they were doing. I never felt judged or pressured. I did however feel like they actually cared and took their time to make sure I walked out of there better than I walked in. Kudos to the whole staff!

Negative experience: My long term dentist just retired and I needed to have a chipped tooth repaired. I read the reviews and decided to go schedule a visit with Drs. Burau. After filling in the new patient form, the receptionist informed me a full set of xrays AND a panoramic had to be completed before being seen. I had my xrays with me and explained the last set was done just last October. However, I was told the office doesn't accept xrays from another dentist?! I know this is not a standard practice for the profession because my son recently had to have a panoramic xray completed before getting his wisdom teeth pulled by an oral surgeon in Clarkston. Their office didn't require the xray be done on site and accepted one performed by my Missouri cousin (a dentist) on a recent visit (sent to the surgeon via email as an attached PDF). So, this is nothing more than a way to 'pad the bottom line'. Needless to say, my search for a new dentist continues!

Fantastic experience: This office is fantastic! They go above and beyond to make patients who get anxiety at the dentist, like myself, feel comfortable. I am especially grateful to Brittany, she explains everything, works around my fears and makes sure I am comfortable without making me feel judged or laughed at. This office and all of us patients are very lucky to have her. She deserves so much recognition. I have never been to a dental office that cares this much.

Fantastic experience: I have never had a less than stellar visit at the office in GB. However, I would like to point out today that my hygienist (Jasmine) was excellent. Not only did she do a great job she was also personable and informative. And, Dr. Dan is always great!

Fantastic experience: I usually go to the Fenton location but needed to reschedule my daughter's filling and I was so happy to have another location super close to my work I was able to get into. The staff were extremely sweet and very patient and accommodating to me and my daughter.

Fantastic experience: Staff friendly, efficient and Dr Charley was awesome. I’ve never had a bad experience at your office in the 29 years that I’ve been a patient. I recommend your office all the time..
