Family Dentistry of Arnold

Negative experience: Was seen 12/4 and was told I needed two extractions and would receive a call within a week or two to schedule. They assured me they would be the ones doing this procedure. Today, on 12/30/25, they finally called to say they reviewed my chart (today...) and will need a referral for a more equipped oral surgeon. I'm so sarcastically appreciative of them to have to wait longer with this tooth issue for a month for something that could've been told to me at that original dental appointment. Insert resentment and pain emoji. Most definitelyyyyy could've received a referral a heck of a lot sooner and enjoyed all of the holiday goodies without this ridiculous oversight. Big thanks to whoever was in charge of that. They only get a two star over a one because the office girls were kind. Won't be back.

Fantastic experience: Amazing! I’ve been a patient here for 18 years and even though I'm no longer local, I still make the commute for all my dental needs. I recently chipped a front tooth and they got me in asap - while working with my hectic schedule (shoutout to Dawn) The tooth looks flawless. I can’t say enough great things!!

Fantastic experience: This office helped correct problems I was having from a previous dentist. The staff are always friendly and helpful and I am very glad I made a switch!

Negative experience: I paid alot of money for dental implants here. The dentist eric egan did not install one of them correctly causing me alot of pain then ultimately he removed all of my implants without any consent. He then blamed me for the failure which in reality occured immediately upon placement. He took my teeth, he took my money, and he traumatized me. I struggle every single day since doctor egan used me. He should have done the right thing and refunded me so I could have a older more experienced doctor fix his mistake. But instead he just recommended additional work and ghosted me. Hes young and does what he thinks is best for him not whats best for his patients.

Fantastic experience: Very caring staff. They let me know what was needed and went over everything in detail.

Fantastic experience: As professional as a business can run. Friendly, prompt recognition when you walk in. Appts have generally been right on time, hygienist and dentists are top notch. I never like the expense of dental work but believe that is par for the course.

Fantastic experience: I have be going to this dental office for years. They all are very kind and understanding. You will very welcome from the time you walk in.

Positive experience: my wife was not told that their florid treatment was not covered by her insurance. when i was in in March they told me mine was, so they knew but a few years ago when i was in they told me it was but later found out it was not covered. i appealed the first time and they removed the charge but now they won't. i called both insurance co. and they say this is a big problem. almost seems like they make a practice of this. make sure you stop and ask specific questions on each Idem to make sure your insurance covers it!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit and it went great! Brittany was so nice and put me at ease. Dr. Hartwig was also very nice. The charges were all clearly explained prior to treatment. I've already scheduled my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: I came in as a new patient to get a crown put on. Dr Rhodes was, in short, incredible. Very professional, thorough, and kind. Plus the technician Jessica is very proficient in her job. Also thorough, kind, and answered all questions I had with ease. I cannot say enough good things about my experience here.

Negative experience: There are much better places to go.The staff here is so rude.They overcharge and won't help... PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE... YOU DESERVE BETTER

Fantastic experience: They were so helpful getting me in. I needed an appointment before September 4 and they got me in two days later when I called. I was so appreciative of them. Everybody was friendly by Cleaning was great and I believe my dental assistant was Brittany. She was amazing.

Negative experience: When booking my new patient appointment, I specifically asked if X-rays were required for new patients because I am pregnant. I was assured it wasn’t an issue and to remind the hygienist so that part could be skipped. When confirming the appointment, I also asked the same question to be sure and was told the exact answer. Upon arrival, and a 45 minute wait, I was refused care because I wasn’t willing to get 16 X-rays while pregnant. I’ve never had a cavity and don’t suspect any issues so I asked if the doctor could take a look and see if a cleaning was safe without the X-rays, and again was denied care. Unless you’re happy and willing to get 16 X-rays while pregnant, I’d avoid becoming a new patient and wasting your time with this office.

Fantastic experience: We’ve had some difficulty getting my new dentures properly adjusted so I can chew comfortably. I cannot stress enough the time, patience and energy put forth by Dr. Hartwig, Alex and the rest of his staff to get me, “Back On My Teeth” again!

Positive experience: So loud and crowded. I definitely feel like they are just churning out customers these days and have set aside the nice patient experience. There is no reason to have music blaring in the lobby so everyone has to literally yell over it and then have different music playing in multiple rooms down the hall playing over one another. And there is no reason I should have to wait for 20 min for the dentist to come look at my teeth for 30 seconds.

Negative experience: I do not recommend using Family Dentistry of Arnold due to the incompetence of their billing department and front desk staff. On multiple occasions they have sent me large bills months or even close to 2 years after treatment due to them failing to respond to requests for information from my insurance company, charging the wrong insurance provider, providing incorrect insurance estimates, or not correctly processing payments that I had made. I also needed information for my FSA that I am provided through my employer, and they have not been timely with requests to provide itemized invoices that I need to support charges to the FSA. The dentists themselves are fine, but their administrative staff are incompetent and I would recommend finding a dentist clinic that provides a more complete package.

Fantastic experience: I was having severe tooth pain. I called same day they immediately got me in. Nice office space all the staff were so friendly. It ended up being an emergency situation so they immediately tried to find a way to get it taken care of same day and they did. Then they called me to come in earlier to get it done bc they knew how much pain I was in. Highly recommend. Thank you so much you guys were an absolute God send to me!

Fantastic experience: Excellent care. I was welcomed upon arrival by my first name and asked how I was, how nice and caring. Brooklyn was my hygienist, very nice and professional young lady and she took very good care of me. As always I’m very pleased with the level of care and service. Thank you!

Negative experience: I've not been a patient here very long but chose because of the good Google reviews. Dentists are fine but there is a very rude staff member and I will be transferring my records somewhere else. Another client was parked in the lot when they were CLOSED on Christmas eve while at the salon next door and whoever was there that day came over and very rudely said to get car out of lot. While I understand that the parking lot to this office is their property there were better ways to go about it than to come over, say move car and when apologized to and said Merry Christmas this person proceeded to just slam the door and walk back to dentist office. A simple "while it's not a big deal today since we are closed, in the future our lot can get pretty full so we would appreciate if you wouldn't park here." would have been much better than how she went about the situation. I'm sure losing a patient is no big deal to them since trying to get an appointment here is nearly impossible anyway but I just wanted to say a little kindness can go a long way.

Positive experience: I am updating my terrible review because I called to get my records and spoke to Dawn and not only did she turn me around, my whole family is scheduled, lol. That was the service I was looking for and was happy I finally found! Thank you Dawn!

Fantastic experience: Family Denistry of Arnold has the friendliest employees! The doctors are wonderful, scheduling is easy, even if you have to reschedule, and they can meet all of your dental needs! Even affordable Invisalign!

Fantastic experience: Been going to Family Dentistry for a long time, but this was the first time I ever had an urgent visit. I called them, explained the situation, and they told me to be there in an hour. I felt like I was squeezing myself in, and making everyone late, but I wouldn't have known it by how they treated me. Negative experience: I have never had a bad experience at this office until recently. The dentist who examined my teenager was incredibly rude and borderline hostile. She was annoyed at the fact I asked questions. Such as, when I was told my kid had a cavity and needed her wisdom teeth pulled because they were growing in sideways, I asked to see the X-ray. She said I couldn't because if I came around the desk it would be a privacy violation and she couldn't raise the monitor for me to see over the desk. I asked if she could just print a copy of the X-ray and you would have thought I asked her for $100. She did not show me which tooth had a cavity, didn't go over the X-ray at all. I was really shocked at how unprofessional and rude she was. I believe she is new, I have not seen her before. Because of this experience I am looking into a new family dentist. However, I would like to say that the front desk staff were pleasant as always, and the only reason I didn't give a one star review.

Fantastic experience: Love this dentist office. Receptionists are always cheerful, friendly and helpful. Katy cleaned my teeth, did my cancer screening and fluoride treatment. She was very nice and treated me well.

Fantastic experience: I usually hate dentist so my anxiety was really off the charts, but the ENTIRE staff helped lower my anxiety. You could tell they really cared about my feelings and made sure I was comfortable. I would recommend Family Dentistry to any one that would need dental work.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, courteous, and professional! When I had a temporary bridge, it was sufficient! The technicians shaped it well to fit my mouth while a more permanent one was being fabricated for me. I also had a difficult tooth extraction. Another visit had me referred to a great Endodontist, Dr Roach. Follow up appointment with my Dr Rhodes for another great visit for a crown. Tristan, a technician is a great fabricator for a temp crown until I get my permanent one.

Fantastic experience: Been coming here a few years and they're always so nice. I've been to a few different places but never with people so nice, friendly, and professional. Everyone hates going to the dentist but you guys make it much less awful haha

Fantastic experience: 04/10/2024 Dr Rhodes (as always) and Grace (Dental Assistant) were amazing. In the midst of me dealing with a recent shoulder surgery, Dr Rhodes was able to politely and effortlessly balance my current Dental Treatment Plan appointments and keep me right on schedule.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! They were so attentive to pain/discomfort management and very friendly. I am now less afraid to visit the dentist. I was also given an in depth analysis of my challenges and appreciative of the time they took to explain everything.

Fantastic experience: I love the people, very friendly atmosphere. I am new, when I called for an emergency appointment, they put me on the next day right away. They made me feel comfortable considering I had bad experiences from my previous dental office, but they assured me that I am in good hands. They gave me more helpful information than I expected about my dental condition. I sure will share my experience with my friends and family. I am happy that my coworker referred me here.

Negative experience: I have a lot of work that I needed done but the dentist for whatever reason decided it was best to only do two extractions. The extractions themselves were fine except for the fact that on the right side of my mouth THEY REMOVED THE WRONG TOOTH! I repeated myself countless times before hand not to mention it was the tooth I came in for to begin with that they messed up and didn't remove. I'm constantly in so much pain now thanks to this mess up, not only is it messing up the teeth above it, I'm not able to drink anything unless it's through a straw and at least room temperature, or even use the right side of my mouth. I have tried contacting the office multiple times about this and left multiple reviews but still haven't received any answers. Would definitely not recommend coming here unless you need something VERY simple done.

Doctor Rhodes couldn't even do a root canal she had to call the other doctor to to finish it Doctor hartwig he is very good I would ask for him if I was you . He finished my root canal because the girl left me there bleeding

Negative experience: Their phone prompt doesn't work, you fan press any number they give and it'll get you no where. Their online chat gives you and appointment, then makes you type out all your info to only say, oh sorry it's not available. So then they give you a date that was literally just told to you it was unavailable.

They don’t make you feel judged at all and do an amazing job wether you’re there for fillings, cleanings, or anything else. My wife and I have yet to have anything less than an amazing experience at Family Dentistry of Arnold!

No issues with the hygienist, such as man handling or gums bleeding when they clean your teeth. They are professional and gentle. Today I had an unplanned meeting dropped on my calendar, got to my appointment, let them know I needed to get in and out in a polite manner and they were able to accommodate. I really appreciate the extra effort on everyone’s part. If you need a new dentist, great place to check out.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment for cleaning for my older daughter and myself today. The hygienest offered to clean my younger daughter’s teeth as well while we were there since it was a long wait time for an appointment. The staff and dentist were very accomodating and kind to myself and my kids. We love coming here and appreciate all of the staff here.

Fantastic experience: As part of my regularly scheduled cleaning , I let the hygienist know I had some pain in one of my teeth. They were very gentle. I was fully expecting the dentist to jab the tooth and make me jump out of my chair but nothing like that occurred. Everyone was very gentle and they were able to redo a filling on that tooth on the same appointment. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. ~Chris

Fantastic experience: What a great experience. I was surprised at all the hi-tech instruments that were used. I have been with my prior dentist for so long and they still use all the traditional techniques of scraping and spin brushing for cleanings. The staff is attentive and courteous. You should check them out if you are in the hunt for a new dentist! If you do say hi to Shannon for me!

Fantastic experience: Haven't been to a dentist in 10+ years and had a lot of work needing to be done plus all previous experiences at other offices have been horrible. I 100% recommend this place! Everything was explained as it was done, walk through of what was going to be done to make sure i understood and was comfortable. Also made a plan for all future visits to get my teeth where they need to be with prices included to help plan ahead. Give them a chance you won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I just moved here. I hadn't been to a dentist in over 10yrs. I had broken a tooth and they were able to get me in very fast. The staff at the front were very friendly and took away some anxiety. The hygienist was great, very friendly and gentle (Katie) and she took away a lot of anxiety, but I hear the other hygienist are just as good. Dr. Rhodes came in and explained everything and was very nice and professional. They even had someone come in to talk about what insurance covered and didn't so I didn't have any surprises on my bill. I would recommend you give them a shot if you're looking for a dentist.

The staff is incredibly friendly helpful and super quick to answer any question or concerns! They were able to get me in for an emergency appointment the next day! The dentist has great bedside manor and makes you feel very comfortable right away! I worked with 2 technicians and they were also incredibly friendly!! Wish I could give them 10 stars highly recommend!!
