Negative experience: Greed and tech bullshit has taken over this business. Was a patient for 30 years and owed 175 dollars was planning to pay day of visit and they not only cancelled my appointment but both my kids via text. Now that is low.

Fantastic experience: They were able to get my son (5 y.o) in same day for a procedure needed. They explained the cost and the breakdown. Very helpful and answered all my question. 5 ⭐️ Dr. Henry

Fantastic experience: Dr. Gina and staff are always so friendly and always greeted with a smile. I had a cavity filled today and as always it was painless. I like when you walk in and they know your name before you get to the counter to check in. Dr. Gina and staff are very personable and put you at ease.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Gina Bruck & her staff! I initially went to her as a new patient for a second opinion on whether I needed a tooth pulled. I was blown away by how thorough the cleaning & exam were — digital X-rays, 3D scan, hydro-cleaning, a traditional check with metal tools, then a saltwater hydro-clean to remove stains, followed by a detailed assessment of each tooth and the exam. I was even offered a warm blanket and a pillow! Her technology is incredible — I’ve never seen anything like it. Everyone in the office is so friendly, from the front desk staff to the hygienists, Dr. Gina herself, her assistants, and the financial coordinator. Top-notch customer service! I ended up needing a crown for a back tooth, and she fit it in the same day, so I didn’t have to drive back. I had my follow-up in Joliet today with the endodontist she referred me to, and they were running ahead of schedule. When I called Dr. Gina’s office to see if I could come earlier than my scheduled appointment (to replace my temporary crown with the new one), they told me to come in & worked me in right away instead of having me wait. Such a great team that truly values their patients!

Fantastic experience: I cannot express how thankful I am to Dr Gina Bruck! I was in and out of another dentist and ER with a very bad abcess tooth wiith no relief! My previous dentist did not help and I showed up in tears to Shorewood Family Dental and she got me in next morning at 7am for root canal. She made me very comfortable and so painless even though the cyst/abcess was so bad! Literally no pain! She was checking on me the whole way through and talking about anything and everything the whole way through to put me at ease. I walked out numb but after a week of torture and no sleep! I slept and woke up next morning feeling so much better! Not only Gina but the rest of staff was amazing explaining things and just smiling in general! Forever grateful and will now be going back to her no matter what! Highly recommend to all ages and those who dont like dentist please trust when I say you are in amazing hands! Fantastic experience: I don't think I've visited a dental office that looks like a literal mall. The building itself is gorgeous and the people are so friendly and helpful. It's also nice that the doctors don't just spend 5 minutes with you and dip. They're very personable as well as professional. The medical assistants are probably the most efficient and knowledgeable that I've ever met. The front desk staff is so kind and super patient, especially when explaining insurance and all that adult stuff. It doesn't feel as daunting as it does with other facilities and I love that.

All the dentist are top notch and very down to earth. You can look elsewhere but I doubt you'll find any better in this area.

Fantastic experience: Got me in after calling in on a Friday when they were closed. Saturday at 8am the next morning I received a phone call. They were concerned about it and asked if I could come in at 1230pm! They had a cancellation. I had all my issues taken care of and the doctors stayed over just to finish my teeth so I wouldn’t have to wait for another day! Wow! Amazing doctors and they went way past above and beyond! They were such wonderful professionals as well as fun people too! Very Happy people singing and dancing happily but professional. They’re very hospitable and easily put me at ease and finished the procedure. I had absolutely no pain whatsoever after the procedure and all of the swelling which wasn’t much had dissipated by the time I woke up Sunday morning. No painkillers needed! This is the only dental office and experts I will visit! I have not stopped going to Shorewood family dental. This is a review update in 2025. I will remain a patient, they are the best around in my opinion. I have had multiple crowns and not one issue. Thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: Ever since we moved to Shorewood 10 years ago, we have come here for our twice yearly dental checkups. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming. The hygienists are plentiful. The dentists are knowledgeable and accommodating. The office is clean and spacious.

Fantastic experience: I’ve wanted to write this review since February but time has just slipped away from me. I want to give a shout out to dental hygienist John. There seriously couldn’t be a more caring and thoughtful individual cleaning your teeth. I first met John when he cleaned my children’s teeth and he did so well with them both. Then I started seeing him too. I was recently diagnosed with cancer in February and when I got my chemo clearance cleaning he gave me so many recommendations and products to use. Then when I came back recently for what I thought was a cavity, I wasn’t sitting in his chair, but he must’ve seen my name on the schedule and came over to chat and see how I was doing with everything. He is a genuinely caring person and I hope that Shorewood Family Dental takes great care of him so that he stays with the practice. If he ever goes, he will be sorely missed by my family and I!!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Shorewood Family Dental for many years. Amy is an amazing hygienist! She takes time to explain things and provides information and techniques on home care between appointments. The dentists are also great. They fit me with a customized bite appliance to help with my TMJ. The pain in my jaw has been greatly reduced.

After explaining my situation, there staff was concerned along with Dr Funk and had me come in right away. They treated me for my health concern and I was very appreciative for their efforts. Fantastic experience: Dr. Funk did a great job removing a very stubborn tooth. Both he and his assistant were professional, friendly and were able to get it done quickly and painlessly. I have hardly had any pain after the extraction and post extraction instructions were easy and clear.

Fantastic experience: They were great with my 4 year old who was there for her first cleaning and exam. They made her feel relaxed and welcome. I love the atmosphere and decor there, it's very calming. They did X-rays and a very thorough exam and cleaning on her, talking us both through it all and engaging her in pleasant conversation. She was excited to get a goody bag and take her picture outside with the big giraffe statues. My other 2 kids love coming here as well. Would definitely recommend them, especially for kids and teens!

Fantastic experience: If I can give them 1000 stars I would. They actually sat and educated me on my teeth. They explain everything before doing it ( which most offices just give a vague explanation & start). Dr.FUNK & Jamie(there was another young lady but I don’t remember her name) were awesome! They made me feel so comfortable about the next steps I had to take for my teeth. Treatment plan was broken down to me and even though it’s a treatment I need THEY WERE NOT PUSHY! They gave me the option to continue instead of trying to force me! I’ve found my new dentist office ❤️❤️❤️

Shorewood Family had a great staff especially Meredith and Dr Funk who I’ve been seeing for years. Easy process. Good advice. Great service. TVs to watch while doing their procedures. Hot towel on the neck. Just switch. Do it.

Fantastic experience: Once I checked in the Weight time before being called into a room was about one to two minutes. I consider this a very short wait time and the service provided was exceptionally good. The Jones was very thorough and explained every step in detail to me in terms that I could understand. I would definitely recommend this practice for all your dental needs.

Dr. Funk figured out my issue immediately and also saved me a lot of money. My old dentist would have pulled the teeth, but Dr. Funk recognized the problem and it was super simple. I found myself in a situation I had both dreaded and anticipated: taking my three young sons—ages 2, 4, and 6—to their dental appointments all by myself (aka – a recipe for chaos). However, thanks to the remarkable staff and their thoughtful approach, what could have been a stressful outing turned into a delightful family experience. The dental hygienists were not only professional but also incredibly skilled at working with children. I was anticipating having to have my two-year-old sit on my lap while I tried to juggle my cleaning, but the staff took him under their wing. They patiently guided him through the office, showing him around and letting him observe his brothers’ appointments. This thoughtful gesture made all the difference in his first official dentist appointment experience. I could hear them giggle and chat from the next station over, and the staff even snapped a few cute photos of the boys for me. My initial dread of this solo dentist mission transformed into immense appreciation for the kindheartedness and understanding of the staff. Their commitment to making the experience enjoyable for all of us was evident, and I left the office with brighter smiles—not just from our cleanings but from the warmth and care we received. I can't recommend this dentist enough, especially for parents of young children.

Every staff member here from the front office staff, the hygienists (you ROCK Meredith), medical assistants, to the Dentists are awesome. All are friendly, qualified, and professional. If you are looking for a super clean high performing Dental Office, give Shorewood Family Dental a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Negative experience: Staff is not trained with insurance or being able to explain where the copay is coming from. I called the office several times to help me understand my family’s bill before I paid it, since all of us have 2 insurances. Instead of giving me the answer as they said they would, I was sent to collections. I am yet to receive a detailed breakdown to understand what for. Apparently it easier to send you to collections than to explain the statement. I am very disappointed and my family will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: I was so nervous of trying to find a new dentist when I moved to this area. But I could not be happier to have joined Shorewood Family Care. The ENTIRE staff is so wonderful that I wished I had been their patient sooner. I would recommend them to anyone! Most fun you’ll ever have at a dentist office too!

I was very impressed, considering that I haven’t had another hygienist in over 30 years. Keep Ami as a substitute hygienist!

I had an emergency right before going out of state for a week and Dr. Funk and his staff were on point and took care of my trouble immediately and with such professionalism!!!! Negative experience: My Dentist messed up and now I am numb for an undetermined amount of time. I had to have over 10 xrays because the assistant could not figure out how to do their job. This office rushes like crazy. If you want problems on the back end, weeks of uncomfort, and a larger than average bill - go here. Update: Currently at 2 months and still numb. The office has been responsive but can do nothing for me. How does this happen?

Fantastic experience: Shorewood Family Dental Care is truly the best. Not enough good things can be said about this office. Dr. Gina Bruck and all of the staff are amazing at what they do. I have been driving close to a hour to the office in Shorewood for nearly 20 years because I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for my dental needs. I’ve felt comfortable and they have treated me like family since my very first visit. The care you will receive here is unrivaled. They are on top of all the new medical advances and technology in the dental industry, the office is beautiful and clean, and Dr. Gina Bruck is one of the very best in her profession. Not once have I ever dreaded going in for routine cleanings or additional work that I have needed done. They are diligent and thorough in all of the work that they do, and are sure to explain everything so that it can be easily understood. I feel lucky to be a patient at Shorewood Family Dental Care and cannot thank Dr. Bruck enough for all she has done for my family and I. My dentist, Dr. Funk, is a highly PROFESSIONAL, CARING, extremely KIND, and very COURTEOUS dentist that does EXTRAORDINARY dental work. Fantastic experience: A tooth fell out, they were able to get me in last night ,put in a temporary and I’m good to go. I was worried about not being able to eat on either side because I’ve got some dental work on the other side and dr. Henry took care of it right away, and there was no pain no anxiety or anything I love SHOREWOOD FAMILY DENTAL! I have been going to them for about 47 years !

Fantastic experience: High-five to Bri and scheduling team!!! I was able to get in quickly for I thought I lost my tooth. Bri was great in taking time in explaining why a temp cap would come off and redoing a new temp cap for me while crown is in the works. She eased my nervousness and I left the office feeling so much better!! Thank you so much to Bri and the entire staff!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Henry was AMAZING with my 10 year old son. He was a new patient and he had an infection in a previous (from another dentist) baby root canal and capped tooth. They got him in right away and Dr Henry was so patient with him and kept his mind off of the “scary” part of the procedure. My son didn’t even know he was being numbed because the Dr was just talking to him about the water they were spraying in his mouth and told him to keep his eyes closed. All the girls in the office were SO sweet and I think her name was Jeannie was very personable! We would recommend shorewood family dental to anyone with anxious children! 10/10 a very pleasant experience!

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience at this dentist office, the staff was friendly and professional, and the care was top-notch, I highly recommend it! The atmosphere is very beautifully decorated not like your "normal" dentist office. I don't know where to begin with the service they provide. Very patient specific, very thorough, very friendly . I never thought I would say that I enjoyed getting a crown . Dr. GINA ‍⚕️was kind, precise , gentle and very skilled at what she does. Sandy who I now call mama bear is a whole mood . Her vibe is amazing. Then there was Morgan, Jeannine and Carly were well trained with all the modern machinery and dental terminology . all were sweet and very comfortingand helpful. Fantastic experience: Been getting my teeth cleaned here since 2006, the staff has always been kind and friendly and knowledgeable, I've followed their advice and used an electric toothbrush (and Sensodyne toothpaste), and in my 25 years I've never once had a cavity. The best dentists I've ever seen.

Fantastic experience: I saw the dental assistant Bri and Dr. Gina at my visit and they were both wonderful! Bri took great care of me and made sure I was comfortable for my whole visit and walked me through the whole process. Dr Gina is always so kind when I am there and is very gentle while also explaining everything she is doing. The entire staff at SFDC is so great at making you comfortable during your visit and being so kind. From check in to check out, the clinical staff, front desk, insurance, they are all fantastic! I would recommend everyone to come here!!
