Fantastic experience: I've been going to Acton Dental for at least a decade. Dr. Block goes out of his way to be accessible, explains things well, and does fine work. Dr. Kay has been super when Dr. Block is not available - quick thinker, clear and effective. Chris is an outstanding hygeinist. The practice has a CT/360 scanner and all the other bells and whistles. Desk staff is kind and responsive. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, I went to the wrong practice resulting in my being 20 minutes late. There was no problem being seen. I was sitting in the chair before 8am and they fixed me up. The service is off the charts, EXCEPTIONAL!!! They treat you like family. Fantastic experience: Okay so, today was my first time going to Acton Dental Associates, I was wicked nervous. Not only am I embarrassed of my teeth (for now) but my sister is the receptionist at the office so that made me even more nervous. Upon arriving there, I was welcomed with kindness from everyone. (I also got to hug my sister who I missed dearly) I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Block aka The stress free entrepreneur who by the way is also a writer/publisher. (Bet you can't say that about your dentist!) With the help of his lovely assistants, X-rays were done. They did a 3D scan, and a few other fancy dentist procedures. (I'm not a dentist and I totally forgot the actual term) Dr. Bock reviewed everything and had a one on one with me, explaining everything down to showing me physical examples of what different options would look like. I am honestly blessed to have Dr. Block as my new Dentist, I left there calm and optimistic with a realistic plan moving forward. It went well I highly recommend everyone regardless of age or gender to give them a call and book an appointment! For anyone that's delaying going to the dentist because your nervous or embarrassed with your own teeth, or just want a regular check up, don't stress go check out Acton Dental Associates, you will be so glad and feel relieved of the stress from over thinking and being nervous with going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Two weeks ago, I had a crown get loose during a routine cleaning at another dental practice, and I was told the crown would have to be cracked and removed and that I would likely need an implant. To get a second opinion, I scheduled an appointment with Acton Dental Associates. Fast forward to today, Dr. Block had my crown looked at, gently removed, cleaned, and recemented within a half hour. He was efficient and professional. This was my first time with Acton Dental Associates and Dr. Block, and I can't recommend this practice enough!!

He discovered the underlying source of my tooth problem, which my previous dentist could not find. If I hadn't seen Dr. Block for a second opinion, I would have had two fillings, which makes no sense.

Fantastic experience: A crown popped off in an emergency situation. My old dentist was not responsive and left me hanging for more than a week, then cancelled the appointment (for good reason) at the last minute. Dr. Block had the crown re-cemented within 20 minutes the next day. This was my first experience with Acton Dental Associates, and it was excellent! Looking forward to more great experiences over the next years!

Fantastic experience: I moved to Maine three years ago, but I keep coming back to Acton Dental Associates because of the professionalism, great bedside manner, and quality of work. I've had plenty of cleanings, a handful of fillings (to replace old silver at my late, late middle age , a couple of implants and a couple of crowns.) This practice has my strongest recommendation, and I'm willing to continue driving 2.5 hours for it.

Fantastic experience: From the first person I spoke with over the phone on a Saturday! … to today, a Monday when I had my appt, they were very compassionate caring people, for seeing me in as soon as they could and were very nice, Dr O was very professional and caring about my anxiety and pain level. His assistant was prob the best I have ever had. I didn’t even know he had taken the tooth out!, just the best experience at a Dentist who I didn’t know, and had to have a very painful tooth extracted, asap,.. can’t Thank them enough!!

Fantastic experience: I needed to bring my 91 year old Father in as he had a broken tooth. Everyone at the office was wonderful and Dr. Kronenwett was very nice and clearly explained to him that the tooth needed to be extracted. They referred him to an Oral Surgeon and even called them to setup the appointment.

Our family has been going to them for over 8 years and they continue to meet or exceed expectations. Today, I went in for my cleaning and was impressed with all of the protocols they’ve implemented to protect their patients. Each member of the team that I spoke with understood the protocols and clearly explained what I need to do. At the same time they were calm and patient with questions.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend! I’ve been to other practices before and none of them offered a 90 minutes for 1st time patient as Acton Dental Associates did. It really was a stress free visit. Julia (hygienist) and Dr. K were amazing. They made me feel comfortable. Julia really took the time necessary to do everything right – went over every tiny detail and she was able to diagnose things that I was told it was normal before when it wasn’t and I believe the treatment plan is actionable and has my best interest in mind. I’m bringing my entire family for sure.

Fantastic experience: Dr Block and his assistant, Julie, are attentive, responsive, knowledgeable and kind. I’ve seen them 4 times now as I begin my Invisalign treatments. They’ve responded quickly when I’ve had questions and made quick in-person check-ins possible. Cannot say enough good things about the excellence of their care.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Acton Dental for more than 20 years. I have moved out of the area, but continue to come back for all of my dental care. The team is kind, knowledgeable, and works hard to accommodate scheduling needs.

Fantastic experience: Amazing dental office! I broke a tooth and they fit me in the very next morning to see Dr. Bloch. Not so many dental offices will do that for you these days. I have had 3 implants and about 8 crowns done here. Never had a problem and my smile is something I don't have to be ashamed of anymore.

Fantastic experience: I was playing with my doberman this morning and she accidentally knocked my front tooth out with the back of her head! I contacted Acton dental and they squeeze me in for an afternoon appointment. Im a total scaredy-cat when it comes to the dentist, I hate going to the dentist! This was a totally different experience. They explained everything that they were doing before they did it and the staff was extremely friendly and they couldn’t have been more professional! I highly recommend Acton Dental to anyone who is looking for a great dentist! Did I mention the exam chair gives you a message?

Negative experience: This review is based off of my recent filling visit. I was told I needed two fillings at my initial visit with Dr Oh and upon check out, I asked for a price quote and was informed it should be ~$80. A day before the appointment for the filling, and while their office was closed, I got mail saying that the cost was actually going to be over $200. This was a shock and I didn't have enough time prior to ask for an explanation. I discussed with the front desk staff when I arrived for my appointment and found that they quoted a price for an insurance that covers white cap fillings, but my insurance only covers metal filling and i would pay the difference. I'm not sure why this wasn't discovered when I initially asked. i decided to proceed despite the price change. During the procedure things were fine, if not a bit awkward when Dr Oh and the tech just started having a casual conversation about people in the office that had recently moved and other "water cooler" conversations. Over the next few days, I could not chew on the side of my mouth with the fillings. There was a constant level 2 (out of 10) pain that I could overlook, maybe a 4-5 while eating, and a quick spike to an 8 when i flossed by those teeth. I called and was booked for the next available appointment. Dr Oh filed down the fillings, however, the pain persisted in one tooth. He ended up needing to re-do the filling; thinking that it might have de-bonded. He was more personal with me at this visit, which I did appreciate. Since the re-do, I have been able to chew, but am still finding low level throbbing and pain throughout the day. This is pushing into headaches as well. I fear needing to go back and have this corrected again as I have lost faith in this office. I wish I could go back in time to before I sought care here. Staff is friendly and have been good about scheduling; especially with respect to correcting the lingering pain. TL/DR - I wish I could go back in time to before I sought care here.

Fantastic experience: In a matter of just weeks I've had a cleaning appointment a crown prep and a crown insert appointment. All appts went very smoothly. Everybody made me feel very comfortable, which I really appreciate since I do have some dental anxiety. I highly recommend Acton Dental Associates.

Fantastic experience: This review is based on my first couple of visits after moving to Acton. My dental hygienist, Susan Danskin, was excellent. She explained everything she was doing, took care to make sure I understood and was comfortable, and did her work professionally and diligently. Moreover, we had a great conversation during the visit and Susan was a lot of fun to have conversation with. Now there are people who talk but don't/cannot perform their job. But I must say Susan was a great multi-tasker. At the end of a Friday visit, my teeth felt great and conversation recharged me for the day! PS: I also had a small procedure done with Dr. K. before this visit. I had a really great experience during that visit as well.

The hygienist explained everything she was doing and the result was an excellent cleaning and a greater understanding of the health status of my teeth and gums. The dentist noted the results of the hygienist’s assessment and suggested a consult with a periodontist. All staff members were pleasant and helpful. Fantastic experience: I've been going to Acton Dental Associates for decades and despite changes in ownership, they've always been courteous, helpful and, most importantly, good! For my visit today, Dr. K took the time to explain what was going on, what I would need done and why. He also took the time to chat about cars, wireless speakers and such so it doesn't feel totally clinical. The checkout woman was kind enough to look up an estimate for the procedure I need done so I know what it will cost. I recommend them highly!
