Fantastic experience: The last periodontist I seen for about a year and he had no idea why I was having the issues I was having nor did he have an action plan on how to help me. After meeting with Mr. Vlassis and his team he was able to figure out what the problem was and had an action plan on help to help me the day I left for my consultation. I have severe anxiety when it comes to the dentist due to past experiences. Normally I would ask to get knocked out when I needed a tooth pulled let alone getting an implant as well. One of the office ladies (Lori) assured me that with Valium and nitrous I would be fine! I had my procedure done today and went with the Valium and nitrous so I could save money due to the holidays. Well Lori was right! I didn’t feel a thing and I was completely comfortable! Mr. Vlassis talked me through everything he was doing the whole time and kept checking to make sure I didn’t feel anything and I was comfortable! Mr. Vlassis and his staff are truly amazing, and I am so thankful for them getting me in so quick for my procedure!

He was patient and took his time to explain everything to me. Things have really advanced in dental science & techniques; I was surprised (and relieved!) that there is a solution to the problem. Fantastic experience: My hygienist is always friendly, professional, thorough, competent, courteous, and has a sense of humor. She explains what's she's doing, and what I need to do, to make the appointment go as smoothly as possible with the least discomfort. She goes out of her way to put me at ease and is always pleasant to interact with.

Negative experience: Watch your money! They gave us a 5% discount for writing a check at the end but wouldn't for the first check we wrote (which was 3x more!). Wouldn't you think if they did it for the last payment by check, they should for the first? They also debited my account without authorization, so I had to threaten legal action before they reversed it (which proves I am telling the truth). I also overheard another customer complaining about payments as I waited. Just be careful about what you owe, when you owe it and and how you pay, because these people don't care how they handle your money.

Fantastic experience: I referred to Dr. Vlassis to fix a lot of very difficult situations in my teeth. This clinic outstanding not only technically or scientifically but also in professional communication and care. Dr. Valissa completed a thorough evaluation of us both and took a considerable amount of time explaining each treatment option and advising us what he felt would suit us best.

I was very nervous going into my procedure, Dr. Vlassis explained to me exactly what he was going to be doing, allowed me to take breaks during the procedure and before I knew it, he was done! If you have to have any type of periodontal care or dental implants, this is the only place to go!

Fantastic experience: I went in to office with a mild emergency and received care that was second to none. Left the office after a procedure that I fully expected a somewhat painful recovery and suffered almost no pain which I attribute to true professionalism from the entire staff.

Fantastic experience: Once again, Dr. James Vlassis and his staff have gone to extraordinary lengths to care for me in a professional and caring manner. I called at 9 on Monday morning with a tooth that fell out while I was home sick and became painful over the weekend. They got me in at 10 am, told me the remaining part of the tooth was badly infected, gave me options and performed the implant procedure I needed right away. I went home before noon and I was so relieved! By the next day I was feeling quite comfortable again. Dr. Vlassis is the best periodontist!

Negative experience: Not impressed with communication in this office. This process took 2 months longer than what I thought it would. Had almost same procedure at another orthodontist (unfortunately to far away now) was a totally different experience. Signed a financial contract with this place and each month they took out more than what they had agreed upon! The work is complete and that is good but that is the only positive thing I can say. Won’t go back.

Fantastic experience: I had my first visit with J.M. Vlassis and his staff on 6/24/24 for a consult on some dental conditions my regular dentist observed during a routine check up. I was impressed by the professionalism of Dr. Vlassis and his staff. They explained my condition, its causes, and treatment in addition to costs of the procedures. All presented in an open and transparent manner. I left the office with a clear written plan of treatment that made sense to me. I will update this review after my procedure is completed. Update: 1/11/2025 My procedure on 6/24/2024 turned out very nice. Feels great and my regular dentist commented that it looks great. on 1/9/2025, I had the same procedure performed on the other side of my mouth. This was a wonderful repeat of the first procedure.

His assistant was the same throughout each step. All of a sudden he says, "Okay, we are done." To which I said, "Already?! Well, that wasn't so bad after all." If I forgot to thank Dr. Vlassis, I wish to thank him now. After all I was excited about the efficiency. I even started asking him about other procedures I want done now. I do recommend this dentist for any special dental surgery.

Fantastic experience: I had a difficult problem that two other dental practitioners were unable to deal with regarding a Noble implant. I was desperate. Dr. Vlassis quickly grasped the basis of my problem and spoke to me in terms I understood. He's intense & focused but he listens and made sense of my non-medical description of that implant's history. He has a good rep amongst his fellow practitioners and in my opinion it's well deserved.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Vlassis took the time during my consultation during my first visit, to explain in detail the procedure he would be using for my dental implant. This allowed me to ask as many questions as I liked and gain a better understanding of what to expect during the procedure. I've since had the initial procedure (surgical removal of tooth, closure of sinus perforation, and bone replacement graft) performed, with no pain during or after! Dr. Vlassis' entire staff are excellent as well. I would recommend his practice to anyone. In my follow-up appointment, my experience with the procedure in putting a post in as part of the implant, again went pain free. Dr. Vlassis explained the process prior to starting the procedure.

Fantastic experience: I had pretty advanced periodontal disease and my mouth had basically been a huge mess for years for multiple reasons. I also have a long standing fear of dental procedures along with sensory sensitivities. From my consultation appointment on I have felt comfortable through everything. I had an osseous procedure along with a biopsy, three teeth removed, bone graft, and implant placements done. I opted for general anesthesia and everything went very well. I had many questions in the days after the procedure and was never made to feel like they weren’t important or anything like that. Everyone in this office is amazing!
