Positive experience: Hygienist did a good job cleaning my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Superior! I had the same dentist for 20 years in MT. Moved here and was nervous about switching but these guys were amazing. They have modern equipment, streamlined and friendly service and they caught some needs with my teeth my long time dentist could not without more modern assessment tools. And they have beauty services now too. I highly recommend.

Negative experience: Arrived for a 3:00 appointment, waited 10 minutes to be called in, which was not too bad, but then sat 45 minutes ignored in the exam chair. Getting up and about to leave when Dr. finally came in. They had been very efficient previously, so something must have changed here.

Fantastic experience: This was the second time I had the biofilm cleaning procedure and found it to be less invasive and less time consuming than the prior procedure. The staff were friendly and professional and accommodating. I had a filling procedure which was scheduled at the same time. Both procedures were finished within an hour. Great experience!

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Friendly, oh-so-kind and helpful staff! Gentle but thorough. My teeth are Clean. October 21, 2025 The new technique of both plaque removal and cleaning is awfully messy. I don’t care about water and chemicals getting on my entire face but it got it my eyes and both the doctor and his hygienist didn’t seem to care much. “Well, we can’t do much about that.” -hygienist At no time should the cleaning material get into the eyes of a patient. They should figure out a way to provide better eye protection. I rinsed my eyes and my sight is still a little blurry 5 hours later. They seemed put out that I mentioned anything and I articulated it kindly.

Negative experience: It was very painful and annoying to have 4 tubes in my mouth at the same time

They have the most updated technology and were able to perform some complex procedures in an expert manner. Everyone is very friendly. I don't have dental insurance, and the charges have been very fair. I highly recommend.

Positive experience: This appointment was for my child. All things went well, but the technician inadvertently put too much pressure on my daughters’ jaw, which remained sore for two days following her visit there. Alternatively, I also talked to my daughter about politely letting her hygienist know if it feels too hard and not to try to clench her jaw to counteract the pressure, which she may have done and it may have made her soreness worse. Ske still rated her visit good overall and thought her hygienist was nice.

Negative experience: I feel very disapponinted and upsed about the work done. They extracted five teeth and inmediately fitted me with a temporary denture, which was supposed to be repalced with a new one once my gums healed. But they only intend to fill the temporary denture to fit it. I felt like i was treated like a fool and ignorant when they proposed this to me and told me that this denture was already the permanent one. I do not plan on ever going back to that place. The prosthesis they put in me is the worst job I have in my entire life, and the worst part is that they do not care that I have difficulty eating and speaking.

Negative experience: We came to this office seeking two implants. After spending over $1100 out of pocket, many thousands from Medicare coverage and extra dental insurance premiums, they canceled the surgery on the DAY OF THE SURGERY! Unbelievable! They decided we needed to go to another specialist who could actually do the surgery. That means starting over completely with another oral surgeon because no office takes another offices's xrays, etc. Stay away!

Fantastic experience: My gratitude goes above and beyond when it comes to this office. As a single parent to an autistic child I face struggles most people could never understand. Sencery being one. My son does not handle people being to close to his face well, it's part of his disability. It makes it very difficult when it comes to dental care. The staff at Northern Peaks Dental are the first and only health professionals who have ever been able to truly understand and work with him in a way that creates a bridge of trust allowing him to be comfortable enough to see the dentist office as a great experience. I just can't say enough about them. So I'll just say thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: I’m a notorious dentist avoider, but Northern Peaks was highly recommended by my son. The receptionist was very efficient and had me checked in within 5 minutes, and I was greeted by my super friendly hygienist (Neena) who was very professional, engaging, thorough and most important gentle in cleaning my neglected teeth. Dr Godbolt was very informative in explaining his recommendations based on both my immediate needs as well as understanding insurance limitations and mindful of out of pocket expenses. The whole experience was professional and personal which will make me go back.

Fantastic experience: Great staff! The fact you can enroll and schedule online is awesome! So many dental offices only do call only appointments still which is okay but being able to pick hygienist (I prefer Nina though all of them are great), the time, and date while looking at your calendars and not feeling the pressure to just choose one is right up my alley. When they see an issue they jump right on it and get you fixed up as soon as possible. Godbolt is super friendly and personable. Refreshing change from rank and file dental offices.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Sandpoint, ID, and needed to find a new dentist, which can be a hit or miss thing. I just finished my first appointment at Northern Peaks Dental, and I couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience. I've moved around a lot for work, so I've been to lots of dentists on the east and west coasts, and the people at Northern Peaks provided care that's equal to or better than the best dental care I've had anywhere. They have the edge in terms of technology because some of their methods were the most advanced I've seen (taking X-rays and other imaging, for example.) The dentist took the time to give me a comprehensive assessment of all my teeth, including considerations for the short and long term. Everyone I dealt with in the office showed an expertise in what they were doing. At the same time, they were all very friendly and made it a great visit.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental cleaning and filling and was very pleased with the services. The staff are friendly, welcoming and courteous. My hygienist did an excellent job as did Dr. Godbolt with my filling.

Negative experience: I originally gave them a five star review when I had just got a cleaning. Now that they have redone two of my fillings, it’s a two star. My mouth feels worse off than before they redid the fillings. It’s been 4 months since they worked on my teeth and the fillings still hurt when I chew. Twice I have gone in the get my bite fixed and it still hurts. I feel frustrated and disappointed and wish I had saved my money and gone elsewhere. I will not be going back to this dentist.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a second opinion, and I'm very glad i did. Another dentist wanted to remove 2 gold crowns and re-do them, as well as crown another tooth with an older filling that is compromised. Looks like the older filling can use replacement soon, but Dr. Godbolt recommended trying that first, for much less money and pain than putting an entire crown. The gold crowns may be good for years, and i will wait to see how things develop before i rush into spending more time, money, and discomfort on that. Pleasant staff and good experience over all.

After consulting with the dentist I decided to wait until I return home to complete my treatment. If I lived in Sandpoint then Northern Peaks Dental would be my choice for dental services.
