Fantastic experience: Today was my 1st experience bringing my 6 year old to Joyful Smiles. We both enjoyed our time so much. Dr. McDonald & Ms. Lisa was so nice and patient with my son. Ms. Lisa did an amazing job talking with him while examining his teeth and getting to know him while prepping him for Dr. McDonald to come out to see him. We will see you both next month for his fillings. I’ll be bringing my 1 year old as well.

The staff talked them through each and every step and explained everything as they went, which really helped put them at ease. They made sure the kids were comfortable with what they needed to do and never rushed them. It’s a fun, welcoming place to go, and we had a great experience overall. Highly recommend for families with kids.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Day and Jennifer were great with my boys. Their attention to detail was impressive and care for my two boys was great.

Negative experience: My 1 and 4 year old had their first appointments here. Everyone was so nice and made our kiddos feel so safe and enjoy their first dentist experience!! Highly recommend!! Edit to add: the staff made my kids feel incredibly safe but the report for my son was that he needed EXTENSIVE work done. They reported him needing multiple root canals, crowns and fillings. When I went for a second opinion, the dentist had to retake X-rays saying he could not even read the ones Joyful smiles took. My son has not needed any crowns, he needed a few fillings and one pulpotomy, this was less than half of what Ioyful smiles was saying he needed. And they were gonna put him under at a hospital to complete the work. Southwest Dental in Orland does it in office! It’s so frustrating when dentists are out to make money!

Fantastic experience: Ive been bringing my children to the Bradley location for a couple years and Ive always had a great experience! From the front desk to the dental assistants and the Dentist (Dr Day) herself, the whole staff is very friendly and professional. My kids love coming here and look forward to it everytime. Today in particular Dom, Rosie, and Amia were the girls that helped us and they were so kind and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start, well everytime I bring my son in for an appointment it’s a nice experience. But this day in particular my son had to have 2 teeth pulled for the first time and he is 9 years old but he way. My son gave the staff and my self and experience of a life time. They definitely got their money worths that day. Lol He squirmed and yelled and screened for help like someone was trying to kill him. The staff remained so calm and and professional even tho they were sweating and over it. They held it down. Thank you ladies so much. Proud dad !!

Fantastic experience: The ladies at Joyful Smiles are very kind and patient. My daughter has a lot of anxiety about the procedures and they are all really patient and sweet to her despite how long it takes to get the job done. Dr. Day is great too. Just when I think my daughter is too upset and we won’t be able to do what we need to do, Dr Day and the techs swoop in and tackle the job with little stress on everyone. I also appreciate them giving me estimates on upcoming procedures so that I can save and not get hit with a bill I wasn’t prepared for. Overall, I’ve had a good experience with Joyful Smiles.

Fantastic experience: we have been absolutely loving, joyful smiles for about four years now and even when we lost insurance for this Office, we made sure to cash pay so we could continue going here because the way they treat our children is above all! Not only do they give prizes for no cavities, but they work with you on any schedule changes, bringing three kids at the same time, and they also allow parents to go back or not go back with your child. They also have orthodontist here at the office, which makes it so much easier when you don’t have to travel for that.

They took the time to explain everything to him step by step and really calmed his fears. Rosie was amazing and really helped my son to feel more comfortable with everything. She was so patient and gentle with him!

Fantastic experience: I recently took my 1-year-old son to Joyful Smiles, and our experience was truly wonderful. From the very beginning, I felt cared for—when I called to schedule the appointment, they even asked if there were any TV shows that might help put him at ease. That small gesture felt so intentional and thoughtful. At the appointment, our hygienist, Zoi, was incredibly kind and patient with my son. When the doctor came in, she spoke with such a warm, gentle voice and handled him with genuine care. To top it all off, at the end of the visit Zoi noticed my son’s Spider-Man T-shirt and made sure to send him home with a Spider-Man toothbrush, which completely made his day. Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond, paying attention to the little details that made the whole visit feel personal and comforting. I can’t recommend Joyful Smiles enough!

Fantastic experience: Hands down thee best dentist office I ever stepped foot in. So clean, vibrant, comfortable setting. They even got ceiling tv’s for when you recline the seat back for the kids to relax and listen/watch their favorite show. More importantly the service was great and the dentist made my daughter feel comfortable. Everything was well thought out in design. The kids get a token after service to put in a toy machine. Zero complaints!!

Fantastic experience: My kids always have a good experience. The staff are extremely kind and joyful. Jen, Amber, and Rosie did a great job cleaning my kids teeth. The staff have always been very helpful in helping my kids become calm when they had anxiety towards going to the dentist. Now, last but not least, this dentistry gives back to their patients. They give out toys every visit and they recently had an appreciation event where they had games and lots of other fun for their patients. They even got other businesses in the community involved and they gave gifts to the children as well. My kids had a blast and hasn't stopped talking about how much fun they had.

Negative experience: I've been overcharged on a least 3 separate occasions. One resulted in $700+ refund that took over 6 months to get back. They have overcharged my insurance. They are demanding copays for services they did not provide. I have asked for a detailed account record and they ignore or refuse. My next step is to report them to the state and my insurance for fraud.
