Everyone was so kind and attentive. Not to mention I’m 8 months pregnant, I felt so comfortable. I called on a Saturday morning with a severe tooth ache and got the first appointment for that early Monday morning. I highly recommend Great Southern Smiles!!

Negative experience: I didn’t get a chance to even set an appointment because the receptionist was so rude over the phone. I wanted to scheduled an appointment for a wisdom tooth removal consultation, and the receptionist seemed to not want my service. Even my mother heard the receptionist in the background, and she was appalled. However, that’s a sign that I don’t need their services.

Fantastic experience: I had to have a emergency wisdom tooth pulled a day before the holiday I called everyone dentist known until I reached Southern smiles I knew I was in good hands when mr Robert (Roberto lol) answered the phone he was so nice so pleasant and willing to help me with a solution told me to come right in I think I may have waited 30 min if that but good timing to me being I was a walk in Mrs Mallory the dentist was so calm with me being i was in so much pain and full of anxiety mr jordan also was so patient with me as well overall I had a great experience and will definitely be back ... oh and mrs Shelly made sure I had the right financial obligation being I had no insurance this is a welcoming dentist and ill be back

Dr Mallory Toney is very professional and talks you through every step by putting together the best dental plan for you. She was very careful, she paid complete attention to every detail, ensuring nothing was overlooked. I received exceptional care from everyone that was on her team. I was so nervous and afraid about going to the dentist due to past experiences. She had to extract a tooth and I never felt pain nor did I experience pain after. I followed all of the instructions that were given after my procedure. My routine never changed. So, grateful, thankful and blessed.

Negative experience: Awful! Billing department doesn’t have a clue. Ripped me off over $1000 because they didn’t bill my insurance timely. Then to top it off, turned my account over to a collection agency, WHILE WE WERE ACTIVELY DISCUSSING THE OUTSTANDING FEES! Apparently this is how they choose to treat long time customers. DO NOT USE THEM! Edit: I’ve had multiple discussions with the office, including waiting for their response when my account was surprisingly turned over to the collection agency - I haven’t received much help from calling your office.

Fantastic experience: Great Southern Smiles is where we come for our dental needs. This visit was for Zoom! Teeth Whitening. Takes four 15 minute sessions and WOW! you have visibly white teeth in an instant. Well woth it. Gives me the results I want right away. The hygienist, receptionist and staff is always pleasant and welcoming. So I’ll do this Zoom Treatment again or purchase the trays and gel they sell for a quick touch up...!

Fantastic experience: Great friendly professional service. Quickly performed with minimal discomfort my hygienist. Dr Smith discussed my conditions and options while notes were made for my use in the future. This (above) is a review from my cleaning service. This past week i lost my right front tooth biting into a candy bar (normally soft snickers). Anyway i called and asked for an appointment and was told there would not be one available for a couple weeks but they would check with Dr Smith. I received a call back later Friday and was told Dr Smith would see me at 12 on monday. I suspect he skipped his lunch break and i had a new crown that afternoon. This is the type of great service i have always received from him and his GSS staff. I appreciate his and their effort on my behalf.

Fantastic experience: I was in last week and had a wonderful experience, which I’m surprised to say for dentist, considering my fear from traumatizing dental procedure I had years ago (another dentist/no affiliation). Cara (dental hygienist) is the absolute BEST!!! She was so patient (with all my 20 questions) and beyond kind throughout every step! Every staff member was incredibly professional, even the receptionist greeted me standing up, shaking my hand, and introducing herself when I first walked in. I’ve already recommended my family and close friends to Great Southern Smiles and shared how excellent my preventive dental treatment was performed.

My hygienist was Morgan and the Dennis was Dr Toney, and both were outstanding in examinations, cleaning and whitening. They were very friendly, pleasant and professional throughout my appointment and I couldn’t have asked for a better team. Just simply OUTSTANDING!

Fantastic experience: Tiffany, my hygienist is awesome. We laugh like we've been knowing each other for a long time. She was very professional and she listened to everything I told her about me. Dr. Thompson Williams is no longer there and will be missed. However, my new dentist is just as awesome and I'm sure she will grow on me as well. Every single team member I’ve interacted with has been kind, professional, and genuinely invested in my care. I’ve considered finding a dentist closer to home, but I’m not willing to give up the relationships I’ve built here. Dr. Smith’s skill, attention to detail, and the welcoming atmosphere his team creates make every visit a positive experience. Negative experience: My experience was horrible. Started going to this office in November 2024 to get a plate made. Didn’t get my teeth(plate) until March 2025. You have to wait a month between appointments. I have a lot of negative issues to tell, Do not go to this place. Good for cleanings & checking teeth only. I hate I spent all that money there for 2nd hand looking dentues

Negative experience: First of all I know that I don’t have the best set of teeth but I’ve been coming to this establishment for YEARS and I have never felt like the employees didn’t have my best interest at heart. Usually the medical assistant is very pleasant and comforting but the lady that assist me yesterday didn’t just make me feel embarrassed but made me feel like I had came to the wrong place she made comments that wasn’t necessary and knew it made me feel a certain way and didn’t apologize. I have scheduled a appointment over the phone not once but twice just for me to still be dealing with the same issue that the employees knew I was coming in for because they ask you “what’s going on? What are you trying to get done?”. When I stated that they did nothing to accommodate me or try to do any kind of treatment just because it was in the evening. Which is unfair because people that have the leisure to just take off when they can don’t realize how hard it can be for some people to get a off day and you can’t just up and not go to work just because they don’t want to treat you at this time but at another day at an earlier time. So overall I feel like that was really inconsiderate and being that they knew what kind of pain I was in and how long I’ve been dealing with it they could’ve did something but chose to do nothing had me come in just to schedule another appointment and get paid for me coming in.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency yesterday afternoon. Something that could have landed me in the hospital. My dentist was closed for the weekend and I couldn’t get a hold of their on-call DDS. I googled emergency dentists and called all that has Emergency in their name—-THEY WERENT! Finally I found Great Southern Smiles. They got me in early the next am, examined and X-Rayed me and then reassured me as we discussed my next steps and possible treatment plan. Dr. Lauren and her staff are AWESOME

It is rare from my experience to have someone who is patient. The hygienist was kind and very knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable with all I had going on. Fantastic experience: Ms. Angela was so sweet and informative about everything I wanted/needed to know. My cleaning and fluoride treatment was a breeze with her. Derrick assisted Meaghan with my fillings, they both were kind as well and made me feel really comfortable. I found this place on Facebook and I was sold by the reviews and they did not disappoint, from the front desk to the back I as pleased with everything. I can now say I’ve found my home for my dental services and care.

After two years of care dr. smith has become just like family and i wouldn’t recommend anyone else BUT HIM!!! his staff is always considerate and kind going out of the way to help with any issues that might arise which there have not been any… i was so impressed with dr. smith as he was sympathetic to a serious dental tragedy… explained everything in a wonderful and kind manner .. what could and couldn’t be done… this was my first appointment.. looking forward to hopefully ( insurance) to work with him and his welcoming staff .. who were considerate of myself esteem issues… i would give 10 * just for how much hope i felt as i walked out the door… which hasn’t been apart of my journey to find a caring dentist… the dental assistant was sweet and helpful.. worked around my wheelchair… she was encouraging and supportive….
