Fantastic experience: I’ve had such a great experience so far at this dental practice! The office was super accommodating with my need to move my appointments around due to my crazy schedule recently. Everyone working in the office is very friendly and the staff made me feel very comfortable during my first visit. I’ve always had anxiety regarding dental visits due to some bad experiences in my past but I felt very relaxed at this practice. The whole experience was great and I’m very happy I found this office so close to home!

Negative experience: So I kept getting all these text reminders, "I have my appointment, 1-10-26 8:00am ,have your appointment hit one to confirm, at least 3 reminders confirmed each time. Had a bad night of sleep, I would have loved to have slept in.But being responsible as I am , I ,get up , breakfast, brush, floss and out the door, at the office at 8:00am sharp. I get there and they were closed !!!! They forgot me !!!!! What happened? Then I get a text, Hope that my dental appointment was a good experience!!!! What the fudge was that all about? No, it was a lousy experience, they forgot I had an appointment !!!!! Corporate Dental franchise just not the same as Mom and Pop Dental practices. Maybe I can get free floss for life, lol or maybe a free cleaning !!!!! I do like Staff.

Huntington Dental has been my one and only place to go for over ten years. From routine cleanings to Invisalign, the entire staff has been great. Not once has my blood pressure risen knowing I would be in a dentist chair. I even have them turn off the TV during each visit because I am so relaxed! I am sure they are reading this now laughing because I tell them each time how happy I am to be there. Thanks Huntington Dental! I continue to look forward to many future visits!

Fantastic experience: An excellent group at HFDG. You will not go wrong if you choose them as your dental service providers. They are all very professional and are always willing to explain things to make sure you understand what is happening with your dental care. Also, and as important, they are a very friendly group. I especially want to call out for praise Dr. Beth Horbal, hygienist Mary S., Assistant Laura, and Mary B. and Angelica at front desk. But every single employee I have encountered at HFDG is A+. My dad was a dentist for over 40 years with his own solo practice in Hartsdale, NY; so I think I know from what I speak.

Fantastic experience: First of all, the office is run efficiently and professionally. The longest time I’ve had to wait was maybe 15 minutes. The staff is very friendly and a pleasure to work with. After experiencing many horrible dentists through the years, it is a relief to find Dr. Pasha. He is wonderful! He does great work, but more importantly to me he is constantly concerned about my comfort and explains everything he is doing. (Also I had a root canal done and his recommendation of an endodontist to go to resulted in a pain free experience. ) It's just unfortunate that I had to wait 70 years to find the perfect fit and someone I can trust!

Fantastic experience: I was recently in the Shelton office for two separate visits, one was to see Dr. Adams, and the other was for a cleaning, with Renee, the Dental Assistant. Let me begin by saying, that from the minute you walk in the door and through to your time of check-out, there is optimal customer service from the office staff (Jane and Angelica) who are so personable and welcoming! I am presently committed to a series of oral surgery visits, and follow up appointments with Dr. Adams. His assistant Laura always makes you feel so comfortable, that you almost forget why you are there! Dr. Adams thoroughly reviews my progress, and offers potential options for my dental care. Thankfully, he speaks to me in layman terms, so that I completely understand the treatment plan. The following visit was for a cleaning with Renee, of whom is so gentle, caring and thorough. She always takes the time to ask important questions about my dental care practices and offers advice and simple solutions, if needed. Typically, it is expected that a trip to the dentist is dreadful...it's just NOT so, thanks to the crew of professionals at Huntington Family Dental Group.

Negative experience: Canceled and rescheduled my initial introductory appointment three separate times because they didn't have a hygienist available. Finally got there and they had booked me with The wrong hygienist. When I got there the receptionist was completely exasperated because my privately paid and very expensive dental insurance didn't have a group number She made an enormous deal out of it and made me feel quite the burden because she had to make a phone call. Not the dentist for me.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Joe did my root canal and he did the most amazing job ever. I was so nervous but his assistants Yanaris and Laura helped me through it. I was nervous for no reason because it was painless! Dr. Joe is the best and great at what he does. I would recommend him to everyone.

The dentists are genuinely interest in treating the patient holistically with state of the art technology. All of the dental staff explain why and what they are doing and preventative practices. I have never had to contact my insurance company because it is all taken care of. This has been consistent through all of the years.

Negative experience: I've been bringing my family here for over five years and while the staff is very kind and considerate the billing department is feeble minded to say the least. We've been given bills which my insurance (GEHA) hardly covers. However, after paying bills, in the full amount, to the sum of hundreds and thousands of dollars, we are constantly reminded that our balance is overdue, which is promptly sent to collections. Save yourself time and energy by finding another local dentist in Shelton, or Monroe, or Trumbull....really, anywhere but Huntington Family Dental Group (specifically the billing department).

I have not had any dental work performed by any of the current dentists. My last dental work was performed by the retired founders of the practice. But the dentists have all been friendly on my visits. I have proudly brought my kids for the last 18 years here.

The hygienist was very gentle, and took her time to explain every step for my teeth cleaning process and informing me all about Invisalign which I’m going to get within the next month. Fantastic experience: Great experience today!! Just when I walked through the door, you can feel the professional and friendly atmosphere. The staff noticed that I was a new client and was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. After a short wait, my hygienist (Renee) comes out to greet me warmly. She was very informative and thorough with my visit. She did a full X-ray, a good deep cleaning, and just giving her expertise on my dental routine at home. She was very transparent and informative about everything she did. Dr Pasha came to meet me and was also nice and did a quick examination of my teeth and what to look for and what preventive measures he recommends to anticipate any problems that may arise with my oral care. Overall, a great experience and will be continuing to go here over other dentist offices.

She was very nice, professional and informative. Dr Joe Barbar came in, introduced himself and then went on to discuss my issues. He was also very nice, professional and made me feel at ease. Angela came in to discuss the charges with my procedure and made sure I understood everything. My procedure ended up being more involved than originally planned and during the whole time, both Dr Joe and Melissa kept me informed and comfortable. Fantastic experience: The doctors, oral hygienists and other staff members were exceptionally pleasant, accommodating and professional. It was my first visit to the practice after a considerable period where I had no dental insurance and had minimal cleanings. They thoroughly x-rayed all of my teeth, identified any and all problems and prepared a plan over the next two months to get my dental health back on track. They then cleaned my teeth with a method that was new to me where they used a jet of water containing a very fine grit to remove the majority of the plaque and tartar which was FAR more pleasant than the old polishing tool I'm used to. Finally, they asked me if I had any questions, comments or concerns, scheduled my next appointments and sent me on my way. It was truly the best dental care experience I have ever had and I will certainly be a regular happy client for the foreseeable future. I HIGHLY recommend anyone in need of a dentist or looking to have a FAR better experience than they have with their current dentist to make their first / next appointment with Huntington Family Dental Group. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful and very attentive the staff. After having a procedure done, they called me to check on me. The dentist is kind and patient and it gets to the root of the problem.

Negative experience: I have been a patient for 20 years and the practice has taken an obvious decline in recent years with the transition to new dentists and management. I've had several issues with appointment delays (40+ min), scheduling errors, billing errors and in general poor communication issues. It's been disappointing and frustrating. The quality of care from the hygienists and convenient location have kept me here but I miss Dr. Greg and Dr. Sal and the practice it used to be. They have always overcharged but it was worth then; not now.

I always feel welcome, and genuinely look forward to my cleanings every 6 months. Scheduling has never been an issue, and they are punctual with their appointments. Fantastic experience: From when you first enter the office you are greeted professionally by there staff. My hygienist was Melissa, and she was awesome. Highly recommend Huntington family dental group.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Huntington Dental Group since 1988. Dr.Greg and Dr. Sal weren’t just good at dentistry they were caring and kind always, concerned that you were alright as they worked on you constantly asking you if you were in any pain. The staff they picked are also great at what they do and they’re kindness goes beyond anything I’ve ever experienced at a doctors practice before. They are the BEST ❤️

Fantastic experience: I’ve been assisted by a number of hygienists and dentists here over the years. Very pleasant office and crew. I started bringing my wife and kids here too and no objections from anyone so far. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a dental office in Shelton.

Fantastic experience: I love this practice! I have been coming here for years with my whole family. We all come on different days at different times in the year but all of the hygienists know us and ask about how we are doing. What a lovely community practice and exactly what we were hoping for! Would recommend strongly to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I had my crown placed yesterday by Dr Joe and he did an excellent job.The crown fit perfectly and the bite was good. I am a retired dental hygienist so l feel confident in recommending him.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Joe and his assistant were great! Didn't even need novacaine for my filling! Both were were very professional, courteous, and very kind! Highly recommend Huntington Dental - all staff all around were great!

Negative experience: Beware if you have insurance! They collect money from you upfront (to have on hand) and then never submit your insurance claims. Or if they do, they are missing a tooth number, or missing a provider name, so that they are denied. It's a vicious circle chasing them. They keep collecting your money, so they have no incentive to submit the claims. They don't want the reduced insurance prices. They want cash upfront. 9 months of chasing them to submit claims. It's unprofessional and unethical. I had to leave and sad because the dentists and hygienists are great.
