Fantastic experience: Always have a wonderful experience at Smiles on Randolph. Dr. Sim is very thorough and explains everything in great detail, and the hygienist Bree was very pleasant and did a great job cleaning my teeth.

No one likes the dentist, but Smiles on Randolph makes it so easy and quick! My whole family goes, and I recommend them to everyone who will listen!

Ive had one problem while being seen here but I made it clear I didn't want people training on me in the future & they also took care of my issue with urgency. Fantastic experience: I had to bring my 10 year old son in for a painful tooth. He ended up needing a root canal unfortunately. He was understandably very nervous. This office did wonderful for him. The dentist was extremely patient and kind. The second my son made a noise of discomfort, he stopped. Pulled all the gauze out, got more numbing for him and gave him a break. He came back, talked him through the entire process, reassured him, and made him much more comfortable. They are all wonderful and professional! My son had laughing gas before his numbing injections and he didn’t feel anything at all. I highly recommend them!

The staff there combined with the staff from the Merrillville location, where I originally visited a year ago, provided awesome customer service and efficiency. Such a relaxed and serene atmosphere. Looking 4ward to my next visit.

Fantastic experience: I love Anne so much!!! She is my favorite and she will make sure your retainer stays in for years! Im so happy i was able to have her fix my upper retainer because the last 2 times ive had my retainer fixed idk if the people were new or students but it didnt feel correct like how Anne does it. I only say that because i was getting charged $100 to fix my retainer that broke 2 times and that’s exhausting to keep paying when i know there is someone there that knows how to do it the right way. Negative experience: I would give a negative 10 if I could! ( The staff is amazing! )Dr chambo Sim is that is horrible! He Reminds me of the dentist that we dealt with in the 1970s he does not care about the patient. He is rude my opinion, a narcissist he has multiple chairs lined up (there’s one Dentist) and everybody is sitting in them (not 3-4 there’s a lot, cattle train anyone?) and everything he has done has been screwed up and I have to go elsewhere to have it fixed. It’s odd when they asked me to come in to see if I could give them another chance to fix it and he was indignant acting like it was my fault turned around and ran to the next patient. I was sitting there thinking did he just leave? It’s possible that he couldn’t remember who I was from patient to patient because he doesn’t take time to listen to you or while you’re there I went there for a specific reason and he acted like I was speaking Greek to him had no clue what I was talking about. That’s what happens when you have that many people sitting in dental chairs and you’re running back-and-forth between them you have no clue who is who my opinion go to a different dentist. One of their office girls slipped me a card and told me to go to a different dentist that actually listens and cares about their patients so even the staff knows

Fantastic experience: I'm really struggling because I don't want to leave a negative review. I want to give this dentist a fair shot. First 2 appointment, the Dentist was so cheerful and made it feel like it was going to be a wonderful experience. However, after today I'm enraged. I had a root canal done and it went quick, easy and great. Now we are in the process of getting a cap/crown on it. The temp one is amazing, I love it but the lab can't get it together. First one was square shaped (yet my tooth is more triangle shaped) they rescanned, came back again and it too was square bottomed and not the right shape. So they rescanned again. Although, I'm getting discouraged I came back today and they didn't have the new tooth. They showed me a picture! A picture! I don't live close so it's a long drive, rescheduling my job, home/family things is a pain to just be showed a picture. They didn't call and explain this. Even though they got the picture yesterday morning and I was informed they aren't in this location on Wednesday. They could have easily called me when they opened today and not waste my time and gas to drive there and rearrange everything. They email and text me plenty of appointment reminders but could not reach out immediately for this? I paid up front so I'm really losing hope. They said they'll email me next time so I don't waste my time but it just doesn't seem like that same care is there anymore. They're making me feel like I am the one who is wrong for the lab messing up. I am hoping next appointment will be better but sadly I am not optimistic about it at this point. Edited to add: I'm pleased to update that they worked with me and we finally got a tooth that truly makes me happy. They were patient and kept trying until I was happy. The lady today at first was reserved but by the end of the visit she shined. She smiled and it felt like she was less unhappy to be dealing with me :-). Doc seemed happier too. Overall, I'm thankful they took the time and worked to make sure I was pleased. Hoping for many more positive visits

Negative experience: Booked my appointment a month in advance, then got a text just 36 hours before saying Smiles couldn’t see me. I’d already taken the day off work. If this is how they treat new patients, I’m out. Extremely disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Top notch all the way! The staff really tries to get to know you. The environment is amazing & clean. Every single staff member is super friendly. I’m not a fan of getting my teeth worked on but the staff truly puts you at ease & am less stress coming here. Dr Sims and his dental hygienists & staff are very experienced. They go above and beyond to make sure you have a clear understanding of everything. Dr. Sims staff are very accommodating and all-around incredible. Fantastic experience: I have horrible dental anxiety because of some bad past experiences. The staff works hard to ensure you're comfortable from the time you come in, to well beyond when you leave. While in a procedure, you will be asked repeatedly how you are doing and any pain or discomfort is addressed immediately. The facility itself is nice, clean, organized, comfortable. The staff is wonderful. I'd definitely recommend to family and friends.

For someone like me, who experiences significant anxiety at the dentist—the noise, the mouth being forced open, and the lingering sensation finding a practice that understands and accommodates is priceless. Dr. Sim is truly exceptional. He approaches care with patience and empathy, recognizing that the dentist can be intimidating for many. He takes the time to customize a personalized plan for my care, and he isn’t hesitant to incorporate strategies to help me relax whether that means medication to ease anxiety or practical tips like bringing headphones to reduce the noise of the office. His thoughtful, patient-centered approach makes all the difference. The hygienists are equally wonderful. Melissa and Marisa especially stand out for their gentleness and care. In the past, some hygienists can unintentionally be a bit heavy-handed, which can contribute to jaw fatigue and discomfort. Not so with them—they are like tooth whisperers, always mindful of comfort and precision. Their skill and kindness consistently put me at ease. Overall, every member of the team at Smiles on Randolph is friendly, professional, and dedicated to making your visit as comfortable as possible. You can’t go wrong with anyone you encounter there. Negative experience: What a ripoff! They charge me before even contacting my insurance because they “already know what the insurance will pay! Ridiculous

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sims and his staff. The office is beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Dr. Sims is just a great person. I had taken my grown son with autism to at least four other dentist and for one reason or another he was not treated by them. We came in for a consultation with Dr. Sims and he said he would love to try and he did. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Sims after the initial visit and now my son is halfway through his treatment. Smiles on Randolph is a beautiful, clean facility and has the most advanced, state of the art equipment I have ever seen in a dental office. The level of service is outstanding. I recently went in for orthodontic treatment and am very happy with the quality and fit of the aligners and the proposed treatment plan. Dr. Sim is the most warm, caring, kind and skilled dentist I have ever known (25+ years), and his staff is also very gentle, skilled and well-trained. Fantastic experience: I became a patient at Smiles on Randolph after a very bad experience at my former dentist that I had been a patient of for over ten years. The staff at Smiles on Randolph make me feel very welcome and comfortable each time I walk in the door. I feel like I'm able to openly discuss my issues with my smile without judgment or someone making me feel crazy. The staff is very thorough, and Dr. Sim is very friendly, knowledgeable, and has a great, big personality! After my first visit, I went back to get three fillings. I was amazed at how quick and painless Dr. Evan Shin completed the job. He is also very friendly, informative, and knowledgeable. I visited a couple of days ago to get my permanent wire retainer repaired. I'm not very good with names, but the young lady who repaired it was very friendly and got me in and out in a matter of fifteen minutes. I absolutely love this dentist office. They don't disappoint, and they definitely don't waste your time.

Positive experience: Everyone seemed friendly that I was in contact with. The front desk girl was nice as well as the dental assistant. I especially like the fact that the dental assistant took time to have a conversation with me while we were waiting for the dentist to come into the room. I have anxiety so it helps me relax when somebody talks to me when I get nervous about dental procedures. I asked questions and both the dentist and the dental assistant answered them so I understood things. The girls in the area where you pay were also very friendly and very competent about the paperwork and making you another appointment very promptly. I will post another review after I get my fillings done so I can rate how my comfort level was during that procedure.

The assistant made me feel so informed and comfortable, walking me through everything regarding my X-rays, teeth, and gum health. I never felt rushed — in fact, I felt genuinely welcomed. My hygienist was incredibly thorough, and even after the cleaning, my gums weren’t too sore, which is rare for me. The dentist was warm and friendly, and I truly can’t wait to return and try out some of their other services. Fantastic experience: Before my appointment started, I was a ball of anxiety. Jocelyn came and took all my photos and she was my first reason why I no longer have any anxiety about going to the dentist. She kept me laughing, reassuring that everything will be okay, and explained everything I needed to know or clarified the things I didn't understand. Next, Amanda did my cleaning. She was just as amazing as Jocelyn. She explained everything while making me laugh and keeping me occupied talking about our shared love for Taylor Swift, while staying incredibly professional and constantly asked if I was okay. Dr. Sim, he was the cherry on top! He had a witty humor and personality that made me feel so confident about my teeth, my smile, and my next steps I needed to get done to have my oral health in top shape. Lastly, the woman at the check out (I forgot her name), was so wonderful. She explained my payment plans and insisted she would be happy to explain anything I was confused about. I have told so many people the second I left that my experience was so amazing and highly recommend to go here if they're ever looking for a dentist. Fantastic experience: My first impression of Smiles On Randolph The office is extremely clean, All the staff are professional, and very polite. We were brought back promptly to the ortho Bay for my son to have his Orthodontic consultation. The doctor complimented on how nice his teeth were and explained to my son that is his responsibility to make sure that he is Brushing his teeth twice a day and flossing. The doctor explained to us that it was best not to put My son and two braces until his primary teeth Have come out. There was no pressure or stress. Fantastic experience: Every time I go to Dr. Sim it a great experience . I really love his new facility Smiles on Randolph . And the staff is top notch . I would recommend if you are looking for dentists he is your guy ,5 star service .

Everyone was as friendly as possible, provided educational material the whole way through, and left me feeling better than I could've imagined. Fantastic experience: Smiles on Randolph Crown Point is the best! I had extensive restorative work done on a tooth & deep cleaning. The staff that took care of me was professional, personable & great at what they do. Amanda, the dental assistant Rocks!!! She made sure I was comfortable through it all & did great work. My hygienist that did the deep cleaning also rocks!! I'm always pleased every visit!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental experience I've ever had.The staff was superb helpful in everyway. Dr. Chanbo Sim was very friendly and efficient. High quality work that I cannot praise enough. I had a root canal done and I received two follow up phone calls later that day to see how I was doing. (Never had a dentist do that before) Nevertheless very impressed and will be being my family there and recommending everyone I can to them.

Fantastic experience: I had been to 2 other dentist offices both with HORRIBLE experiences, the most recent had a 4.9 star rating and It was a terrible experience. Dr. Sim greeted me with a handshake and performed my rootcanal and I had ZERO pain, ZERO discomfort The staff was very friendly and I have no insurance so I opted into the savings plan and it saved me over $500. After paying $399 for the savings plan it was in the same price range as everywhere else with very high ratings. This changed my life with dental anxiety, and now I get a fee exam and free cleaning because of the plan. Thank You Smiles on Randolph, Dr. Sim, & Staff for the 5 star treatment.
