Fantastic experience: I haven't been to the dentist in a long time, and I was more than a little nervous about getting back into it. Everyone at Maine Dentistry treated me with all the understanding and compassion that was required for me to feel safe. Clear and concise communication throughout my appointment and a game plan custom to my needs was provided. Highly recommend making Maine Dentistry your new oral health facilitator!

Fantastic experience: These guys are excellent- Highly recommend them! My whole family comes here now! Gabby and Amber are amazing and always take excellent care of me when I come in. Dr. Lawlor and Dr. Cyr are excellent and make quick work of my visit which is appreciated! They are super accommodating when I come in and offer water, a blanket, Netflix. What more could you need during your visit?! They even sent me home with a toothbrush and some floss!

Fantastic experience: This was the most incredible experience I have ever had in a dental office. I am of the Baby Boomer generation, where going to the dentist was completely traumatic ,in every way. Even as an adult, I’ve had difficulty overcoming that fear each and every time I walk into a dental office. However, today that fear , after 66 years was finally conquered. I’ve never experienced what I experienced today at Dr. Lawlor’s office with Mallory, my sweet hygienist, who was completely understanding, kind, gentle, and simply a delight. Dr. Lawlor was wonderful, genuine , personable, and there was no pressure or upselling going on. They deeply care for their patients. From the moment I walked in and was greeted to the final second before I left, it was like a perfect dream come true! I feel with their help ,I have finally conquered my fears, and actually look forward to returning once again. If you’re looking for a positive experience in every way, I highly, highly recommend this office! I assure you, you will not be disappointed! I just wish I had found them years ago!

Negative experience: As far as dental car goes they are great. But I have never had so many scheduling issues. I don't think I have made an appointment that hasn't been cancelled or moved to a different time. Usually very close to the appointment time too. With the new policy of $90 for a cancellation on the customers end things just don't add up. Save a headache and go elsewhere.

Positive experience: I’ve been coming here for about a year now and overall I’ve been happy with the care I’ve received. Natalie at the front desk deserves a special shoutout. She’s always so kind, caring, and informative. Anytime I’ve had a question or concern, they’ve gotten me in right away to make sure everything is okay.

Negative experience: I have had a lot of bad experiences with a lot of dentists over the years, but I have never felt so uncomfortable that I had to walk out of an appointment until yesterday. I was drawn to this practice because they market to folks who are very anxious about dental work and want to have a more respectful, less shamey experience. And I will say that up until yesterday my experience with Dr. Lawlor and his staff had been an enthusiastic and glowing 5 star experience! Dr Lawlor is kind, respectful, collaborative, he addressed my needs and concerns and did great work - probably the best experience at a dentist I've ever had in my life. I was sad to hear that Dr. Lawlor would be stepping back from client work, but was hopeful that whoever was filling in would be similar to him. I am heartbroken to find out that is not the case. I came in yesterday to get a crown and some other work done, which was booked to be a 2 hour appointment. They were running about 30 minutes late and so when Dr. Cyr came in to see me I asked if he felt it would take the full 2 hours, thinking maybe we might edit the treatment plan if so given our late start since I don't live locally and have a toddler at home - to which he replied "what, do you have a kid at home or something?" in an incredibly dismissive tone, and then he brushed off my concerns and just said we'd see how it goes. Then he grabbed the novicane and did the injection with no topical numbing first which was really uncomfortable and then IMMEDIATELY reached for the drill to get started without even having the assistant in the room or asking if I was numb. I stopped him and said - "hey wait, I'm not even a little bit numb yet" at which point he argued with me and said that the novicane is very fast acting and assured me that I was, in fact, numb. I stopped him again insisted that I was not feeling any numbness and that maybe I needed more time for it to sink in, as that's usually the procedure. Then he grabbed a pick and started poking my gums asking me if I could feel it, and when I told him that I could he said "reaaaaallly" in the rudest, most condescending way - like he clearly didn't believe me. He then asked if I usually need extra to get numb, which I don't. I was absolutely appalled that this man had the balls to question what I could and couldn't feel. At that point I told him that I was not comfortable having him work on me and he said I'd have to find another practice then. On the 45 min drive home it was clear that I was not given enough novicane and also that it was not in the right place because the tooth that was supposed to get the crown was not numb at all. I am heartbroken because I love this practice and it took me a long time to find someone I felt comfortable with, but this was completely unacceptable. I feel like with this change in staff, they shouldn't be positioning themselves as a place where folks who have had bad experiences should go.

Fantastic experience: This is a wonderful place to go handle dental issues. They’re very professional and give off such good vibes in there. Two employees that have stood out to me were Nathan and Natalie (at the front desk!) They were both extremely helpful. they not only helped me feel better about the dental work I’ll be needing, but helped me understand the full cost breakdown. I wasn’t rushed out as another number. Also Nathan contacted me to get an earlier appointment lined up so I wouldn’t have to wait until December!! It was so smooth and easy dealing with them. They took real time to help me understand.. 10 out of 10 recommend

Fantastic experience: We have been so happy with our hygienist, Mallory. My son, 4, has been twice. Mallory is so sweet with him, and cleanings go along without a hitch.

They make you feel right at home the minute you walk through the door. Dr. Cyr is honest and straightforward. What stood out the most about Dr. Cyr is his calm and patient demeanor. His attention to detail is impressive and he explains each step along the way, always asking if you're comfortable. 100%, 5- star review!

Fantastic experience: My first time at Maine Dentistry was unlike any experience I’ve had at a dental office. My past experiences have been just a cleaning with no emphasis on the underlying cause of issues or physical health, and only on cleaning the teeth and putting bandaids on the issue. I have been satisfied with my experience from the beginning. I was able to get all of the correct info. and fees with the friendly front desk staff, a thorough background history interview, pictures, and scans with the very knowledgeable and kind hygienist Erica, to the comprehensive and thorough evaluation with Dr. Lawlor where he addressed issues I wasn’t even aware were a potential cause of my chronic migraines. I am so happy I found this office and very pleased with my first visit!

Fantastic experience: I have a lot of dental work done and this was the first time I learned about WHY I experience the dental issues I have. Maine dentistry is ahead of the curve in understanding and explaining why dental issues develop. My hygienist was very friendly and knowledgeable and I felt like the dentist gave me the time needed to explain options and the different expected outcomes of the options.
