Fantastic experience: I set up a new patient appointment as I am new to Artesia and this office was in the neighborhood. All the staff were very welcoming and kind. I believe the dental assistant who assisted me was named Serena, and she was absolutely wonderful, very attentive And included me in her process to allow me to understand what she was doing. The dentist was also very fantastic and provided a thorough explanation of anything I may need in the future or how to move forward with caring for my smile. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: The dentist found an area of concern on a back molar. She removed the old crown and put a temporary crown on. I will have that removed in 2-3 weeks to get a permanent crown put on. The temporary crown feels very good and fits nice. My gums don't feel very sore. The whole procedure went smoothly. Both of the dentists have worked on my teeth and they give very thorough dental care. I don't have to worry about problems always arising unexpectedly - they try to catch problems early. Always enjoyable, thorough cleaning, and a quick check of each tooth. I have just recommended this office to a friend. Hope she gets an appointment soon! We all need to have regular checkups. Plaque and tartar need to be professionally removed to maintain a healthy oral environment. It's a good habit to start having your teeth cleaned once or twice a year. They will remind you if you let them know you would like a reminder about your appointments . Start today - make an appointment. When you have your teeth cleaned, they can find problems early before they become very "bad" - which can save you money. Today they found that I had a developing problem that needs dental work. Be sure to get your teeth cleaned yearly. It's a good investment in your health and can save you from needing expensive dental care. I developed an area that was sensituve to cold (on my lower molars). Dr. Kay found the problem. Looked like a crown had chipped along the gumline. Will need a new crown and that should fix the problem. Glad she found out what was going on! 7/3/2024 October 8, 2024 I had 2 small cavities filled today - one on the right side and one on the left side. It didn't take a long time and no problems, no pain, etc. They started selling children's toothbrushes in 2 sizes. I really like them! They clean well and make it easier to reach difficult spots. They seem to last longer, too. Go get your teeth cleaned every year. The hygienists will alert the dentist if they find something that could turn into a big problem - so it can be taken care of early ....! Enjoyed the cleaning done yesterday. Found a small problem on a tooth and have appointment made to fix it. Cleaning really makes your mouth feel fresh and clean. Visit your dentist and make sure to get your teeth cleaned. I had a very small area of a tooth that needed a little bit of work done on it. It only took about 10 minutes and I was done! See the dentist regularly - much easier to fix problems before they get bad! 1/14/2026 Great visit, dentist checked front teeth to see about damage caused from a busted top lip. Will recheck in a future appointment - hope it looks good at that time.

Dr. Gunn came in explained my treatment plan and took the time to answer all my questions. The whole staff is welcoming and just so nice.

They are transparent about costs, take my other health issues into account when developing a treatment plan and address my questions/concerns. Their support staff is also so friendly, understanding and helpful.

The cleaning took longer than expected, but the hygienist did much more than expected, too. Fantastic experience: I am petrified of any and all dentist offices but my experience with them the other day was positive although I was very tense during my visit there. The hygienist who completed my visit from start to finish was very professional, kind, and patient. Dr. Younggren completed my examination and was very knowledgeable, welcoming, and fun to talk with. I think the only few suggestions I have is one) for the office to check if they’re online appointment request is working and they are receiving them as I have submitted one a few weeks ago but never received any confirmation of my request until I made a phone call to their office and 2) to list what insurances they accept for their new patients to help with the browsing process. Overall, I will be returning to this practice for services and will be taking advantage of other services to better my smile.

Fantastic experience: To be honest with you, I hate Dentist and I hate needles They’ve helped me through the whole process of getting my dentures from removing teeth. I don’t know how many different molds to make sure everything‘s right. The only other dentist I’ve ever liked was a personal friend of mine, and he retired. These people were recommended to me and I’ll recommend them to anybody.

She was efficient with the cleaning while still doing a great job. The dentist made sure I was doing okay throughout the whole procedure and spent awhile afterwards making sure I was happy with the outcome and everything felt right. Fantastic experience: I had a good experience at Smile Xpressions, as good as getting two cavities filled can go. They waited for the numbing stuff to take effect. When the drilling hit a nerve, the dentist added more stuff to make the experience less painful to finish up. The actual time with the dentist wasn’t very long. She was courteous and efficient. I was pleased when all was done.

Fantastic experience: Staff was amazing! Took my daughter in for her first dentist appointment and the dental hygienist (Austyn) and dentist were so gentle and sweet, and made her feel comfortable. Then afterwards the staff helped with keeping my daughter entertained while I got through my cleaning.

Positive experience: I have had great experiences with the hygienists here and the front staff is friendly. I like Dr Younggren. My experiences with Dr Gunn have been less positive. Maybe the two times I have seen her have been bad days for her, but the first time I “met” her she did not introduce herself and both times she has stayed over my head/shoulder so I cannot see her face while she’s talking to me. I like to see people’s faces when we are speaking so she has left me feeling uncomfortable. I’ll try to request Dr Younggren as much as possible
