Fantastic experience: I’m a new patient to Dental by Design. Niomi made a great impression on me over the phone with her warm and professional manner. She was helpful and answered all my questions. Niomi recommended Rain as my dental hygienist. Rain was fantastic. She is gentle, thorough and does a great job explaining the process never leaving you guessing. I was equally impressed with Dr. Makita who answered all my dental questions and has set me up with Dr. Kobe for further consultation. I am so glad I found Dental By Design. It’s my new home for my dental needs. Thank you!

Negative experience: Temporary cap came off and do not know where it is. Spent 6 and 1/2 hours at location with know idea it was going to take the length of tiime.

Positive experience: Visit was fine, the Front Desk administrator was very friendly and helpful. The doctor just took a quick look in my mouth and charged $106. I believe that was an over kill for what he did. I believe the only negative experience that I had was the insurance information should’ve been first when filling out the appointment information I want to wasted my time or your time if I knew you didn’t take my insurance.

Fantastic experience: I am extremely glad that I was referred to Dental by Design and to Berenice for my cleaning because she really is the BEST! Not only was she thorough, but she was also very attentive of my comfort levels since I had noted on my intake forms that I did not like choking on my own spit. Berenice was also very knowledgeable because she knew exactly where my cavities were before Dr. Khan reviewed the imaging. Demi numbed me before my fillings, and she was excellent. I usually have pain for days at the injection site, but I had no pain thanks to her. Demi also worked on my husband’s cleaning, and he had a great experience with her. Dr. Khan and his dental assistant, Aiden, did my fillings so adeptly that I think I was in and out of the office in less than 50 minutes. Aiden was very patient in helping me sort out my bite issues so that I did not have to drive over an hour to come back. I really appreciate everyone at Dental by Design for giving us such a pleasant experience for our first visit! The office is full of friendly staff members who really seem to enjoy working here, which helps make going to the dentist less nerve-racking. Who knows, maybe we won’t miss our next 6-month appointment!

This dentist office is different in that the staff are very professional, friendly & accommodating. They try to make the experience a pleasant one in a positive environment. Fantastic experience: I called the office on Tuesday morning with a cracked tooth and was able to get a 1:30 appointment for the following day! I thought they would have a look and schedule a time for me to come back and have the temporary crown down. Fortunately for me, Dr Rapacz was able to do my temporary crown today! Fantastic experience: Excellent team, dr khan and team took awesome care of me. Previous dentist office I went to was awful and they just seemed to be pushing unnecessary fillings to make money. They did a crappy job on one of the fillings, which hurt so much, and then they said it needed a root canal, which they botched. I was so annoyed at how many times they made me go back to their office and how much money I had to spend for every visit. so I went to dr khan instead. he referred me to a great specialist, who was perplexed and shocked about the terrible root canal job. Eventually, I had to get an implant. Dr khan was there for every step of the journey. He got me a new tooth, and did a wonderful job. He kept me informed throughout the whole process. Grateful and so happy with my new tooth! Thank you!

Dr. Kahn is straight forwarded and calm, exactly what's needed in a dentist. Everything was explained and the best point was no "up selling" which is uncommon in this industry. At the same time, I felt right at home. They take the time to get to know you and somehow made me very comfortable and at ease in the chair. From Niomi working in the front with the ladies to the dentist hygienist and dentist in the back. They are All very welcoming and go beyond to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. Negative experience: Updating my rating for this place. For my braces Dr. Ellis was NOTHING short than amazing and the Dr that replaced her was the best part of this establishment Why my review is one star - I haven’t been to dental by design in almost 1 year. Last time I seen them I complained about having tooth pain only right molar. This tooth has a silver filling (filling was from my childhood) I explained my pain and Dr. Kohn patted my shoulder and said “you’re going to need a root canal” I never went back because I just wasn’t sure of his response, no x rays were done, he just looked and determined this. Fast forward to one year later the same tooth starting causing me pain today, I went to a dentist that’s open weekends, I got multiple exams and explained my concerns about the tooth, the doctor took a Q tip with a freezing cold solution on it to test if my nerves were active in the tooth. THEY WERE he said there’s no infection, no bacteria and my nerves were fine. He summed it up to me grinding my teeth. So happy that after all this time I got someone who truly cares. Dentist will push root canals for no reason and not take the time to actually listen to what’s going on. I’m glad my braces are off and I never have to come na m here

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: I hate going to dentist and had not Been in 30 years due to paranoia from prior experiences. Dr. Kobe and staff were amazing with sedation dentistry. Today I went in very anxious fir my first cleaning with Demi. She got me to be at ease and helped me to be calm. She was amazing and my dental office fears are doing much better. The whole staff are just caring and helpful. Highly recommed checking them out

Fantastic experience: I saw Dr. Heirshe yesterday, 3/10/25. I saw him for a Limited exam and as luck would have it, I was able to get the work done due to a cancelation. First off, I have to admit that going to dentists terrifies due to a traumatic childhood accident. I have not been to a dentist for routine care in years...and I mean that literally. I was ashamed to admit that to both him and his hygienist Hailey. They both set me totally at ease with their friendliness, professionalism, and non-judgment. After the exam he gave me some options for the work that I knew I needed to have done which was a filling of an extremely deep cavity on my back molar. I was able to use the nitrous which calmed me some. I was worried about the shot because last time I had work done the shot was bad and hurt me to the point that it caused tears. I am telling the truth when I say that the shot Dr. Hiershe gave me yesterday was the best one I have ever had! I did not feel a thing...no pinch, no pressure, no burn of the medicine going in! Nothing!! From that point on, I knew that everything was going to be ok. I was a little sore last night, but no pain and no swelling and no soreness of the gums today. I have a new patient exam with him coming up and while I can say I'm not going to love it, I can say with 100% certainty that I can handle it...thanks to Dr. Hiershe and his wonderful staff! And the no pain for the shot!!! I apologize for the long review, but wanted to give detailed review so that maybe it will help someone else that is terrified to go to the dentist. Be honest, let them know up front your fears, and they will make it as easy as possible for you!

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so nice. X-rays were quick and I didn’t even have to leave the chair. Dr Khan was super informative, never felt pressured or misled. They try and work with what you can do. Can’t wait to get a better smile from Dental by Design

Negative experience: I had an onlay cover done with Dr. Kode back in October. It’s what was recommended for my situation. After receiving a temporary cover I had very bad nerve pain. I informed them of this and was told it was due to the temporary onlay cover. After receiving the permanent cover I still experienced bad nerve pain. I was told it would subside in 2 weeks. It’s been 4 months and the nerve pain is still bad. I will most likely have to get further work to fix the work which is unfortunate. The staff were very nice and overall the customer service was good but it is frustrating to pay a lot to get work done and need to get more expensive work done to fix this.

Fantastic experience: I love this place! was my first time here and I felt heard for the first time and so comfortable with the staff. Everyone was nice and very attentive. I will definitely be back and they definitely have a long term patient.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience for am emergent procedure. From the reception/scheduling staff to the Tech and the Dentist, everyone was so kind. Throughout the procedure, the dentist kept checking in on me to make sure that I was okay - which I really appreciated. I had some trouble with my insurance before coming in, which was very frustrating for me, but the staff was so understanding and patient.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by a friend when I felt like I was being oversold at other places. Not the case here. I came in for a crown that had broken. They were able to get me in same day. My insurance had run out and I was paying cash. My price was lower without insurance than other places I have been too. Very friendly and do a great job. This place is nowhere close to my house, but man is it worth the drive. I have found my new dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had a filling done by Dr. Rapacz and was assisted by Juan, both of them made me feel at ease and I could immediately tell that I was in good hands. My procedure needed an injection and I was a little nervous. However, whether it was the placement of the numbing jelly by Juan or the finesse of the actual injection by Dr. Rapacz I couldn’t feel a thing! It made me that much more comfortable. The flow of the treatment was great and they were able to quickly do my filling without any hiccups. I definitely recommend Dental By Design! I’m so happy I’ve been a patient all this time and I hope they keep taking my insurance because I don’t want to go anywhere else haha!

I moved from NM and the importance of finding a dentist in AZ was necessary. First, let me say the entire practice is outstanding. Dr. Khan is so meticulous and so personable he is hands down awesome!!!!. The dental assistants I can even begin to tell you how wonderful these girls are.
