Fantastic experience: Had a CEREC crown to come off while traveling through Tucson. I called explained my situation and they were able to see me the same day. Unfortunately, the crown could not be recemented, but they took measures to protect the tooth site until I could make it to my dentist. Dr. Daniel Chiara explained everything clearly and I felt totally confident in his care. Made me wish he was my dentist. Office staff were professional and nice, the office was nice, overall despite my misfortune, it was a good experience.

Negative experience: Made an appointment and they canceled it because they said they sent my paperwork via text. I did not receive. I even showed up early. Will look elsewhere for a dentist. There are many to choose from.

Fantastic experience: After going to chiara for the last 3 years I am so bummed that I have to find a new dentist because I have new insurance which they don’t accept, unfortunately. But, i wanted to leave a review for future patients because this place is hands down the best dental clinic I’ve ever been to it’s clean, in a great part of town, the staff are amazing and Mr. Daniel Chiara and his wife are top tier dentists i promise you will be in the very best hands. Like i said I can’t express how sad i am that I will no longer be under chiara dental care. I can’t say enough good things about this place I’d give them 6 stars if i could. Fantastic experience: At Chiara Dental, the dentist took the time to explain in detail the health of my teeth and gums and the specific plans to keep them healthy. She also went over the X-rays and took photos of problem areas. My prior dentist was always in a hurry to get in and out of my visits and turn the work over to the hygienist. Negative experience: Disappointing Experience: Lack of Professionalism and Poor Pediatric Care I cannot recommend this dental office based on our recent experiences. The issues spanned from the front office to the doctor's chair, resulting in an overall frustrating and negative visit. The front reception area is beyond disorganized and unprofessional. Their lack of coordination makes scheduling and simple check-in a stressful process. Furthermore, getting clear information about insurance and billing was incredibly difficult, with staff seemingly unsure or trying to obscure necessary details, which led to confusion regarding our coverage and final payment obligations. The most concerning issue was the interaction with Dr. Chira. His communication style, especially when working with youth, is harsh and unprofessional. He did not attempt to build rapport or communicate clearly with my child, creating a very uncomfortable and frightening environment. A dentist working with children should possess patience and clear, encouraging communication skills, qualities Dr. Chira unfortunately lacked. The customer service across the entire office is subpar. Given the disorganization and the unacceptable bedside manner demonstrated toward youth, I strongly advise against choosing this practice, especially for pediatric dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and my own regular dentist couldn’t get me in for two days. They got me right and in the dentist and staff were personable with attention to detail. They show you on the x ray what they do or don’t see. Needless to say, they are my regular dentist now.

Negative experience: When I first went to this dentist’s office, I had a heart-to-heart with Dr Chiara and explained to him how afraid I was to go to the dentist. Not because I’m afraid of dental work, or pain, but because SO many dentists I have been to have been so immensely judgmental of my teeth, and have been downright unprofessional in the way they treat me. I explained to him, I have “bad” teeth. My dental health was neglected as a child, I began having symptoms of multiple autoimmune diseases as a teenager, all of which cause increased tooth decay, and pregnancy on top of all of that just absolutely wrecked my teeth. On top of all that, poverty doesn’t play well with the ever increasing cost of dental care. He was super empathetic and understanding, assured me there was no judgement and he was here to help me. I truly felt like I had finally found a dentist who understood what I had been through, how embarrassing it feels to be judged for something that is so wildly out of your control, and to have people pass judgement so easily and assume you’re just negligent, lazy or unhygienic. Well, that was until today. This week I broke (another) tooth and went in to have the remainder of it extracted. Dr. Chiara was busy with a patient so I was seen by his wife. She asked if I was in pain and I stated no, to which she said “oh, well it’s a broken root canal, of course you’re not in pain.” In a condescending tone. Then followed up with “It shows on the X-rays it was broken the last time you were here, so it’s just been rotting in here for two years.” Then she said “I doubt he’ll want to take this out because it’s just going to crumble apart and be a difficult extraction.” Mind you, he’s done a similar extraction for me before, but I wasn’t bothered by then potentially turning me away and referring me out. What I was bothered by was her coming back (after not even speaking with him) and telling me “I’m not taking that out. It’s just completely soft and is just gonna fall apart and be a difficult extraction. I’ll give you a referral…. Sorry you broke your tooth.” While giving me the most judgmental and condescending look before leaving to let her assistant finish my out processing. I sobbed the entire way home after the way she treated me. I will never be back. And I will no longer refer them as a “safe place” for my friends who also suffer from advanced tooth decay from autoimmune issues. No one deserves to be treated that way, especially not those who ended up in the situation through no fault of their own.

Fantastic experience: Just had a wisdom tooth and molar pulled today. To say it was quick and painless sounds cliche but Dr. Chiara was so awesome from start to finish. Vanessa made sure I was comfortable through the whole process and I was grateful for her gentle bedside manner. Had I known their prices were so reasonable and my insurance covered most besides my deductible, I would not have suffered so long. Please give them a try, you will not be disappointed. I already have my next appts set for my daughter and I.

Fantastic experience: Dentistry is a facet of healthcare that I feel especially self conscious about. I have (and had) many dental issues over the span of my life and it had become something I dreaded and avoided until I couldn't, and then it was expensive and scary. I didn’t get a proper cleaning for years because I just didn’t want to be surrounded by people that would inevitably hurt me physically and emotionally. Yes, this reads as dramatic but I can only assume the majority of people don’t enjoy this part of their health maintenance. This all changed for me the moment I established care at Chiara Dental. Not only is Mr. Chiara DDS himself lovely and very competent, but his office has been nothing but welcoming and supportive each time I’ve come in. It has gotten to the point where I almost look forward to taking care of my teeth by way of their cleanings and cavity care (let’s be real, I have the eating habits of a stressed toddler). Their office is as flexible and amenable as anyone in this economy can be, and with their staff being so kind it just all seems manageable no matter the personal circumstance. The lack of judgement from each level of professional is comforting, and something I appreciate. I took the time to write this because 1- they deserve it and this review is 100% genuine, but also 2- we don’t hear enough about the good and we all deserve more of that.

Fantastic experience: Chiara has been taking care of my family for about 3 years. We’ve had considerable work needed outside of routine care. Dr Daniel and Dr Angie and staff are wonderful. They’ve helped us navigate procedure decisions and referrals when necessary and they are so kind, caring and thoughtful. This a place where they truly care about the health of their patients.

Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed – Automatic Cancellation I had an appointment scheduled but received a message saying it was automatically cancelled because I hadn’t submitted new patient forms—without any phone call, just a text. I don’t pay attention too text messages from unknown numbers because of all the spam texts I get. This is not a very personal way to communicate for such a detriment to the appointment. Apparently, this office requires these forms at least 48 hours in advance, or they cancel your appointment without hesitation. Be warned: if you’re a new patient, you must complete everything nearly two full days ahead of time or risk losing your spot. This policy was not made clear upfront, and I’ve never experienced anything like this with other dental offices. Most clinics let you fill out forms the day of or even when you arrive. After this experience, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. There are plenty of great dentists out there who don’t make the process this difficult or rigid.

Fantastic experience: Had 2 cleanings here, first time everyone was getting to know each other as I was a new patient. It was good. I had my second cleaning today and enjoyed it more. Dental hygienist is funny and cleaned my teeth so well, and the doctor is funny and honest. I, and many others, appreciate the honesty especially in healthcare/dental health.

Fantastic experience: 6/5/2025 - I recently had a teeth cleaning at Chiara Dental, and I want to share my experience. The staff was professional and friendly, which made for a comfortable visit. The hygienist was particularly thorough and was able to identify a cracked tooth that will need to be crowned. This was not my first visit, and I appreciate the consistent level of care I've received. I would recommend Chiara Dental to patients of all ages looking for reliable dental services. The staff at Chiara Dental were very professional, but also down to earth and friendly. I broke a tooth and the office was able to schedule an appointment within 24 hrs. I have extreme anxiety due to a negative dental experience, but Dr. Chiara was patient and understanding and provided options when I was uncomfortable. Dr. Chiara fixed the tooth and explained in detail about the condition of my tooth. He provided me with options and a plan to remedy any future issues that may arise. I am very grateful.

Great staff, customer care and service! Just had my 2nd crown done by Dr Angie and she’s amazing. So considerate of the patients! November cleaning and x-ray showed small cavity. Knowing I drive from out of town Dr. Chiara was able to fit me in and get it filled. Always considerate and compassionate!

Fantastic experience: Amy and Dr Daniel were awesome getting me in as a new patient and in an emergency.in less than 30 minutes after first calling them since my dentist was not able to quickly see me. They diagnosed a bad nerve and setup an appt to get root canal as well as calling in a RX for pain medicine. Might switch to them permanently.

Negative experience: Ariza the Office manager lies, is condescending and unprofessional. I work in insurance and she tried to tell me it was my dental plan-while it was a dispute in whether services were necessary. She showed me the appeals. The had the wrong insurance company in the letters (my employer vs the carrier) and my name incorrect. I went here for a year and was not impressed. I only had a cleaning and perio. They wanted me to get BOTOX for teeth grinding. I have never been told this. My 2nd year they said some perio need done $ and my insurance carrier did 2 independent reviews and disagreed. I chipped my front tooth for the 3rd time in 8 years and their solution was crowns or veneers. They want money !! Normal dentist, keep healthy teeth. I asked them about this and the front office lady - Ariza- didn’t like me questioning and told me that I probably need to go elsewhere. Like what? DO NOT GO HERE. Besides potentially scamming- I guess you can’t question them either. This is weird. The front lady Ariza was very unprofessional. My dentist in Portland Oregon was Patricia Bade DDS who was the clinical professor at OHSU where this horrible dentist went. She would be shocked at how horrible and unethical his practice is. AND WATCH OUT for their incentivized reviews program…
