Manor Kids Dentist: Reviews
Negative experience: Rude and condescending dentist defended the dental assistant who hurt my child more than twice. She said the x-rays pics have to be done fast. No, the other assistant I saw did a great job without pressure and was professional unlike the one we had. That’s also why my child refused to sit on the chair for the cleaning because the assistant was downright mean and made us uncomfortable. She denied hurting my child. I saw her smirking too a couple of times. Even without this issue, I dislike the tone the dentist used. Completely unacceptable and a waste of time. They don’t care at all, I let the girl at the front desk know as well.
Negative experience: Horrible experience. I have a 1 year old and if you’ve had kids or know anything about having kids, you know that at this age it is extremely difficult to keep them still and patient without tablets or screens. We waited for 45 minutes after his scheduled appointment time for him to be seen. After the appointment I went to the front desk and tried to schedule out his next appointment. The other woman sitting at the desk (not the one I was speaking to) tried to tell me that I would have to call and make the appointment because they didn’t know their schedule that far out ahead….Ummm that’s not true, I used to work in a dental office so I know that is false information. I walked out and left and immediately called them as soon as I got to my car and they told me I could schedule the next appointment. Do not go here. Very rude, not helpful, and a liar on top of that. Find somewhere else for your child to get dental care because this is not the right place.
Negative experience: Terrible experience we were referred to this dentist in manor for my 8 year old to be looked at for a gum ulcer mind you we went to her pediatric doctor 2 days before she stated there wasn’t an infection we come her from bastrop mind you we waited an 1 hour to get seen from our appointment and Dr montero instantly tried to state my daughter had an infection on the gums and she said oh let’s pull the cap and the tooth out I stated to her we only made the appointment for the ulcer to be looked at mind you the ulcer popped right after we seen her pediatric doctor 2 days before I stated to her no no pulling it popped and I didn’t want to just cancel last minute and she just turned rude she said okay so why don’t you want me to pull it out over and over and on the other hand why u trying to pull a tooth out if you claim it’s an infection you’re supposed to give antibiotics to clear it out then pull she did not treat me with respect all because I told her no to pulling and the kids that came out they looked scared and distraught
Fantastic experience: The staff here are so sweet and amazing from walking in being greeted to setting your appointments taking care of your child making sure that they're taken care of with insurance and so on from going to X-rays to seeing a seeing the dentist they are phenomenal every employee there work tremendously as a team and you can just tell that it's a good atmosphere when you come in and everyone just so amazing sweet and Client Friendly explanation of what's going on with your child and how we can solve the issue very well said ....Great team keep being Amazing Shyminika Chesney
Negative experience: PARENTS !!! Be aware ! I took my son to get checked. They told me he had cavities and needed dental crowns with sedation. They didn’t provide me with options, the Dentist was rushed and was not good with kids. It was a traumatic experience. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and non of the treatments I was advised at this office were correct. My kid did not need metal crowns with sedation. Be careful please!! Look for a second alternative!
Fantastic experience: 3 girls I've been bringing here for 2 years and we love this place. The kids are treated with respect. They informed of their treatment and the procedures. They have experienced drilling and buzzing without the trauma often associated with Dentist visits. Highly recommend. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming.
Negative experience: Very bad service and not only with the patients but also with their own staff members some lady dont know who she is might be manager or owner but still does not give her the right to treat her employees like that. I will not be coming here again waste of time they made me loose work to bring my son in and did not even check him they made me reschedule i do have to admit ladies at the front desk are very nice and know what they are doing until that crazy lady came out of her office and made everything go left i do not recommend yall coming here very bad service.I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW THIS PLACE HAS 4 STARS UNBELIEVABLE.
Negative experience: At our last visit, we waited for nearly an hour before leaving outright. A shame because our previous visit was fine, however there was no indication from the staff or any signage that we'd be waiting for so long. This is after arriving early for our scheduled appointment. To me it's a lack of respect for our time that families should not have to put up with without knowing upfront.
Negative experience: They are really rude bad service. They don’t respect. I’ve been waiting for my appointment more than two months for check up.
Negative experience: ZERO Respect for their patience. Poor communication. The entire group are not professional..... Just told me they will give some kind of injection for my little girl. I was worried and they advised me to take a second opinion...... then I did.... I went back and they said she is banned from being their patient. I am not sure if they have this right. I wish more dentist come to my area as we need someone to serve out community not to ban kids from getting help specially if they are the only few options in Manor. IT TOOK 2 MONTHS TO DENY MY HUMANA INSURANCE FOR NOT IN NET WORK. Now I will consider other cities..... THEY DONT KNOW THEY ARE THERE TO HELP THE COMMUNITY.
Fantastic experience: Amazing team and they even speak Spanish
Fantastic experience: They speak spanish, and theyre very well with kids!
Fantastic experience: the doctors speak spanish, theyre really nice, they take care of kids very well too!!
Fantastic experience: Good quality and nurses speak spanish
Fantastic experience: There a good clinic good people nice place and excellent service
Fantastic experience: Second time at Manor Kids Dentist, and it has been such a great experience! Love the staff and Doctor!
Negative experience: After scheduling an appointment and confirming insurance, they called me to cancel with the explanation of “our system has your file as inactive”. So because of some technical issue they turned us away and refused to see us. Terrible experience
Negative experience: I have been taking my kids to Manor Kids Dentist for years and I’m truly disappointed that I have to write this review. My kids love Dr. Montero but the front office staff is the problem. Especially the office manager. She doesn’t care about the patients. We had a pending treatment but we’re waiting on a new insurance to kick before we did it. Once I called to provide it I was told we will get back with you once we verify to let you know you’re good. I needed a new treatment plan cost and was waiting to hear back, I know they’re busy and I waited a couple days before reaching out to ask if there was an update. The person in charge of verification seemed like this was the first time she was hearing of my request. After I explained myself again she was ok let me review and I will call you back. She did after a few minutes and was like yes your insurance is active. I told her I know it’s active that was not my question. I needed to know that you verified it and that you came up with a new treatment plan and cost. Again she said I will call you back with that. I waited another week for a call back and nothing. My husband called and wanted to file a complaint and spoke to Lili, the office manager. All she said I’m sorry the person who handles the insurance is on vacation. And no one bothered to call us to tell us that. My husband told her that is very bad customer service and someone should have reached out. All she said is we can refer you to a different dental office and my husband said no thank you we can find a new one. So she asked so we should remove tour children’s file from our records. What kind of service is that! She didn’t try to keep us there or try to fix the situation. Will be moving my kids over to Future Dental.
Negative experience: Bud reviews a big reason why!! Front desk it’s Important cause is the presentation of your business you may check that out as a business owner you don’t want to to lose your Clients when you can fixed the reason why…….
Negative experience: Please don’t sign your child up for this dentist. They have a bad policy of canceling and rescheduling (3 and you’re out) but rescheduling is an absence. Poor front desk management with no professionalism or lack of understanding for a “pediatric” dentist. So in short note: if your child is sick and you call to let them know that counts as you being “absent” even calling ahead of time. And they also take forever to run insurances once you provide them on spot so that will be your fault as well. But know how to charge your insurance and you for things quick fast and in a hurry. Save yourself the trouble and drive the 20 minutes into Austin or Elgin to some place with better front desk and policies that make sense regarding children. Would give no star if I could just for the lack of proper staff who can speak to people with kindness and patience.
Negative experience: I was told that I had to do same day apts. because I’ve rescheduled his appointment 3 times. On separate occasions. I can’t see how this policy would be fair to anyone with small kids. Or kids that are frequently ill. Feels like being penalized for doing the right thing and notifying them ahead of time. This is even services I have to budget for as we don’t have dental insurance. It’s sad. Had anyone explained the policy ahead of time. I would have booked it further out. Instead of hoping my child would feel better by the time of the apt.
Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience with Manor Kids. I brought my child in for a routine check-up. This was our 2nd cleaning for our kids and previously all went well. For this 2nd visit, we were told our child needed a filling for a cavity. We scheduled that appointment and the way the staff interacted with my child was cold and impatient. After being numbed and placed on nitrous oxide, they told us they wouldn’t continue and she would need general anesthesia to complete the procedure. My child left the office visibly distressed and anxious—something no child should experience at a dental visit. What’s more troubling is that the dentist claimed my child had a cavity and recommended immediate treatment. The front staff said they would not schedule the procedure again without paying for general anesthesia ($300 cost). Trusting my instincts, I sought a second opinion, who confirmed that there were no cavities at all. The dentist didn’t need to numb my child after a thorough exam and simply placed sealants. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy—and possibly the integrity—of the diagnosis we received. I would not recommend this practice to any parent looking for compassionate, honest, and competent dental care for their child. A child’s early dental experiences shape their trust in healthcare, and unfortunately, this one was damaging.
Negative experience: The front staff is not friendly treat you as just the next patient. When I has my sons initial visit they collected my $50 deductible. I went back one week later to pay another $50 for a deposit for the treatment he needs. I return on my treatment day and they wanted to collect another $50 deductible. I explained I paid that already and showed my my bank statements showing it was paid. The office manager didn't listen just tried to tell me a story to blow me off. I work at a doctors office so I asked when you all collect payments from patients do you notate the account the amount collected and why and she states yes yet she tells me I have to wait 10 days for her to look into it but took my $50 in 10 seconds. I can't understand what needs to be looked into when you say it's noted on my son's account my deductible was collected already. The dentist herself is nice she explained they were having some problems with their 3rd party billing something the office manager should have explained rather try to blow me off. I still did not get my money back my son needed the treatment so I had to bite the bullet but I WILL NEVER take me child there again nor recommend that location to anyone.
Negative experience: PRO: We love Dr. Liz. We have been with her since my child was 1. Sad to say love is not enough. CON: She has one of the worst and incompetent office staff that I have ever encountered in my entire life. I have been told multiple times my insurance was not taken and it was the receptionist never even submitted the claim. The wait has also become very long.
Negative experience: Very disappointed! Picked up my kids from school and headed to their appointments; completed paperwork, and signed the financial agreement. Then I was presented with a bill from 2022 (almost 3 years ago). I was told that my claim was denied due to the insurance being canceled. I told them that was absolutely not true and the claim was probably denied because they didn’t file in it a timely manner. Manager comes out and said no it was. I don’t believe that all because the amount of the bill was for only one code. There were multiple codes that were paid for the same day, but only one code didn’t get paid. Doesn’t make sense. I also paid a couple of hundred dollars out of pocket in 2022. Basically, someone didn’t do their job correctly with the claim and the claim was denied and now they want to make it the patient’s responsibility. Manager told the front receptionist in front of me, speaking to her directly, that if I did not pay then the appointment would need to be canceled. So, I canceled my daughter and son’s appointment. I will never give my money to this place again. Billing/manager doesn’t know how to do their job correctly and will blame the insurance and make it the patient’s responsibility. I would avoid this dental practice.
Negative experience: This visit was ok but 2 major things influenced my rating Pros The doctor and assistants were very pleasant. They make it easy for your kid to feel comfortable and at ease with the entire process. Major A+ Cons The reception staff and scheduling When I scheduled my kids appt I was asked when the last time they visited a dentist but failed to mention that they need the X-rays from their other dentist office prior to the appt. Thus causing me to pay $150 I didn’t really have to get new ones. This should be mentioned or patients parents should be made aware of fees that they can avoid paying. I could’ve used the money for the treatment plan for my kid
Negative experience: ‼️PLEASE BE CAREFUL TO PAY the $50 DEPOSIT TO MANOR KID DENTIST!!! ONCE YOU PAY IT, THEY NEVER PAY BACK ‼️ If your kid needs to schedule for treatment, we have to pay the $50 deposit to them. They just say deposit. But once you pay it, it never pay back even tough you cancel in advance. *CAUTION* PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT the $50 DEPOSIT
Negative experience: My son had a scheduled appointment at 10am. It is now 10:45am and we were still in the waiting room with about 6 other patients. No update from any of the staff. The upsetting part about it is they won’t see if you or you’re late but won’t consider your time outside of this place. I have an appointment at 11:30a and now I have to reschedule my son’s appointment. This is the second time I wait for a long period of time with no communication. Will look to take my kids elsewhere. Per the front office staff there was an emergency in the back which is understandable but not communicating the delay to anyone is unprofessional and inconsiderate. Do not recommend this office.
Negative experience: Never even made it through the door. I don’t understand how an office can be so unorganized that they schedule an appointment a week in advance and don’t verify your insurance coverage ‘til literally an hour before your appointment. When originally making my appointment, I made it very clear what insurance I had and what I needed done, even completed all paperwork ahead of time. I won’t even attempt to reschedule. If this is the process before even being seen, I can’t imagine the headache for anything else.
Negative experience: Stopped going here, dentist was rude and patronizing. Took my kids to Manor Dental where Juan and Adriana are much friendlier and don’t speak to us rudely.
Fantastic experience: It’s an amazing place they treat your kids so gentle and amazing
Negative experience: I have been a long-time patient and always appreciated the reliable and professional dentistry here. However, my recent experience with scheduling an appointment was disappointing. The staff member I spoke with was not polite, and I was asked to pay a deposit just to schedule my appointment, which was never required before. This was unexpected and not in line with the excellent service I’ve come to expect. I hope this feedback helps improve the scheduling process and customer service. I will look for another provider. For now, I recommend looking for another provider. I also plan to inform my insurance company to review how they cooperate with this office.
Positive experience: I had high hopes for this dental office and initially really enjoyed our visits, particularly with the dentist. However, our recent experiences have left us frustrated and confused. My son was advised by the dentist to wait until after his surgery for his next appointment, yet we were later informed that he had missed an appointment, which contributed to a claim that he missed three appointments within the past year. This seems inaccurate, especially since he is seen every six months and we are only ten months into the year. When I called to schedule a new appointment, I was told that same-day appointments were the only option due to the missed appointment, which was already unclear to me. I called for a same-day appointment, only to find out that the dentist is not available on Wednesdays. This contradicts what I was previously told about availability, leading to further confusion about keeping my son home from school for a same day appointment that was promised with no explanation that they mean everyday expect Wednesdays. I expressed my concerns about the miscommunication, yet I was told that the missed appointment was not counted, which adds to the inconsistency in the office's communication previously of 3 missed appointments. Overall, the experience has been frustrating, and I am left feeling unsure about the accuracy of their records. Unfortunately, we will be seeking dental care elsewhere. I am leaving 3 stars only because I throughly enjoyed the dentist and her patient care.
Fantastic experience: Moved recently to Manor and found this dental office for my kids. My 2 year old and 7 year old were comfortable the whole time. The staff and Dr are all so kind too! Very welcoming and informative.
Fantastic experience: Great dentist and staff. The location is also amazing. Kids love it. Definitely recommend if you are looking for kids dental in Manor area. It’s kid friendly
Negative experience: They seem to generally hate people. This manifests in way of stupid rules like one parent allowed per child. Because of covid? This is nonsense, there is no reason to give parents a hard time for bringing their child together. Stop giving people a hard time and just see the children. It also takes way too much time to be seen, one should not have to wait an hour to be seen, these are little kids, 15 minutes is way too much time already.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful, friendly. Can’t wait to go in and schedule appointments for my kids!!
Negative experience: Very bad communication!!! it's been over 4 months since I tried to schedule my kids appointment. They told me they want my insurance to confirm they will cover for the services, I connected them with my insurance and they assured Lily that we are in network and my insurance will cover for the services. Lily said she will get in touch but until today she never reached out. I tried calling back several times, they keep saying they will call back but they never did. I don't know if it's hate, or discrimination but that doesn't sit right with me, especially since I've been nothing but nice and patients with them. I'm very disappointed Updates!! well out of nowhere, this office sent me a letter saying they are terminating my son and my entire family out of their office. My son was only seen there once, after over four months of waiting. The boy been in pain but we patiently waitied. He didn't do nothing to ya'll, he doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. You people never seen my daughters at all, why kick them out of a place where they never even been ? These kids never done nothing to ya'll!! Why hate towards little children? You should be looking out for the entire community not just a specific crowd.Ya'll are pretty much the only children dental in the area. This is illegal and ya'll should be held accountable. Especially when ya'll been knowing that my son needs the treatment asap. May God have mercy on you Update: My husband and I went there to confirm, if there was a miscommunication somewhere. These so called children dentist looked us straight in the eyes, and said they were rumors, she wasn't even sure what she was talking about smh. My husband asked her if she had anything against our kids, and she kept repeating that we were the ones that requested for the kids to be removed. My husband tried to reason with her, but she kept repeating that it was in our best interest ?! I recorded everything just to be sure, then this mean lady came out of nowhere, saying we will be hearing from their lawyers. She scared my little baby, and he started crying I've been places but I've never experienced such hatred. Especially toward towards innocent kids. Very bad service, discrimination, and entitled people Zero starts!!
Negative experience: Today I had the worst experience ever here. I had my babies first appointment for his teeth, he’s 6 months old and I was told to wait in a room while the other room will be disoccupied. Waited there for an hour. In the meanwhile I would hear other kids be attended. I was very disappointed and ended up just walking out. I cried of frustration, my baby wasn’t going to take long just to check his gums and a simple clean. The worst experience and will not be going back.
Fantastic experience: great office!! it was my kiddos first time in the X-ray chair and in the “big girl” seat .. she’s 4 and she was scared one of the assistants saw that and explained to her what was going to happen & let her feel the brush so she knew what to expect! great job , she warmed up really fast! I cannot thank this office another for treating a 4 year old w/ so much respect!! that’s all she was talking about on our way home!
Negative experience: I will not be going back. We were early, an established patient, had done the paperwork in advance and waited for two hours to be seen. (The short version) The full version: I have used this dentist office for my son for a couple years prior to Covid. They had always been very nice. I have no idea what has happened. We had moved and the dentist office is now an hour and a half drive for us. I hadn't found a new dentist in our area yet, so I decided to take him back where we had been many times before. We hadn't been in a while so I needed to fill out paperwork. The person I spoke to that set up the appointment was very nice and emailed me all the paperwork so I could fill it out in advance. I filled everything out and entered in all my insurance information 9 days before our scheduled appointment. We arrived 30 minutes early for the appointment. When we walked in I was asked to sit and wait. They called me up to check in about 10 minutes later. I was asked if I had filled out the paperwork and I said yes, they took my insurance and asked me to wait again. We sat and waited 30 minutes. Then I was told they were having trouble with my insurance. This is the same insurance I've had everytime we have been there before. We waited another 30 minutes. Mean while we are watching other people come in and go back. We are well past our scheduled appointment time at this point. Finally they called me up, and tell me I will have to pay for the appointment out of pocket. I knew this wasn't right but we had waited so long, and I really wanted for him to have his teeth checked, so I just paid it so we could go back. Then we waited another 20 minutes before we were called back. We finally get called back. While they were doing my sons x-ray the girl from the front desk comes back telling me that insurance does cover my son's appointment and they are issuing a refund. Everything feels like forever and I just want to get out of there. We finally see the dentist and they clean his teeth. This takes like 10 minutes and I just want to leave. My son has a cavity and they bring me something to sign. I think we are finally done, so we are going out the door and the lady at the desk says, "mam can you take a seat and wait." They wanted me to wait and fill out something for his next appointment to take care of the filling. The other lady behind the desk saw that I was about to loose it and quickly said, " we will email it to you." I walked out the door, and I will not go back.
Positive experience: Enjoy this place. The only thing I dread is the astronomical amount of paperwork to fill out every time (28 pages to be exact). I do it virtually but I'm tired of filling out a baby questionnaire for my 14 year old and a new patient form. It literally takes me 20 additional minutes. I just wish they could update their systems to make check in process simpler for regular patients.
Negative experience: My kid was referred to this location because it's more kid friendly but the office staff has been pretty terrible in scheduling and communication. The first appointment I scheduled, I made sure my kid would see their specialist. When we got there, they told us Dr Liz was not in the office today and my kid would see their general dentist which I agreed to since we were already there. My kid wouldn't cooperate with the dentist since he has a fear of dentist which is normal. The office staff were notified and we rescheduled the appointment and I made sure we would see Dr Liz next time. Next appointment we are 5 mins away and we get a call from the office saying Dr Liz wasn't in the office again. At this point, I'm livid because it's been over a month and we haven't seen Liz and we get a call about it 5 mins before our scheduled appointment. We could've been notified day before or at least an hour before. I told them this was unacceptable and was told it's "human error" in a passive aggressive tone. Well, human error happens once but this keeps happening multiple times. It's completely unacceptable to create multiple inconveniences for clients due to incompetent staff. Not happy.
Negative experience: The new office staff of horrible and beyond rude. When we walked in we were immediately told to be seated and we would be called up. We were called 5 minutes after sitting. Then when reviewing the paperwork I had questions the lady told me to finish my paperwork before asking questions. Then after being called back the dental tech took my child to a new room (she’s a toddler) with the big chair. Which she isn’t used to. She was very upset with the change and I took a minute to talk to my child about it. When the dental tech interrupted and Rudely said what are you gonna do ? Like I was wasting her time. We eventually changed rooms but with so many issues my child and myself were upset we decided to just leave. We were told to go to the desk to reschedule. Which we did and again was told to sit down and wait again . Finally we were called back up and rescheduled the appt. I have never dealt with any rude staff at this location before today . This has always been a wonderful place to take my child. The changes that have taken place with some staff are horrible. They don’t seem to care about the patients one bit. Which is a shame because the dentist is amazing!
Negative experience: Super upset with this place! I showed up 30 minutes early to fill new patient paperwork walk up to the counter to be dismissed and to sit down until they call me up . They decide to call me less than 10 mins to the counter and ask for my new patient paperwork. I let them know my phone has been giving me problems and its dead as to why I'm here early. She say's everything is online sorry and she will print but now I have 3 minutes to fill out 3 kiddos forms or I will have to be resch unfortunately due to time. My 9 year old son walks up as I'm at the counter and says he has to use the restroom and was told they needed my ID for him to go to the back to use their restroom. I said its fine we will go ahead and leave and she says GREAT NO PROBLEM . Awful service, and no I wont refer anyone here NOR RETURN !!!!!!!!!
Fantastic experience: This is probably the best dentist that I have ever been to for our kids. The staff is friendly and the environment is welcoming. The dentist really does care for the kids and for their teeth. I highly recommend them! Update! I highly recommend Manor Kids Dentist and Dr. Liz Montero to anyone who is seeking a friendly and patient dentist for their child. She has been a lifesaver for us and has made our son's dental experience a positive one. Dr. Montero has always shown patience and understanding towards my son's sensitivity to noises and has been extremely encouraging towards our efforts to keep his teeth clean and healthy. The oral conscious sedation provided by Dr. Montero was successful and allowed for a thorough cleaning of my son's teeth. We are grateful for the care and support that we have received and will continue to visit Manor Kids Dentist in the future.
Negative experience: This is the most frustrating dentist ever! If you reschedule your appointment, it counts as a missed appointment. So if you have 3 “missed” appointments, they inactivate your child. So I had to reschedule to due to work and then we got covid. When my husband brought our kids in for their appointment, he was running late because my son got locked in his classroom by himself so they had to inactivate one of our 3 kids. But 2 were okay to still receive treatment. We were told we had to wait a year to bring the one back in again. So I call to make an appointment for the one that was inactive and they asked if I took him to another dentist in the last year. When I said yes, I was told that because he went to another dentist he could no longer become an active client. I asked if the dentist would rather our son not go to the dentist for a year? And was told that is their policy. I don’t recommend and it’s super annoying that it’s the only pediatric dentist office in town.
Fantastic experience: Took my 3 kiddos yesterday. The appointments were scheduled for 2:30 and we were out within 1 hour! The doctor actually showed me what was going on and explained everything to me thoroughly. I felt like she cared so much about my children's oral health. And the desk staff was amazing. Very kind ladies! If I could give them 50 stars I would. 10/10 recommend
Fantastic experience: They are very nice and handled our children very well. The doctor is sweet and kind and really cares about her patients.
Fantastic experience: Nos mudamos a Manor hace aproximadamente un mes, hoy fué nuestra primera cita, todos fueron muy amables y nos hicieron sentir tranquilas. Hablan inglés y español. We moved to Manor about a month ago, today was our 1st appt, they all were very nice and made us feel at ease. They speak English and Spanish. ----- That post was a bit more than 2 years ago I think. And I am happy to say, that the feeling hasn't change. It has always been a good experience, from the moment we anter the building, until we leave, every one is so nice, making us feel super comfortable. Even my kid likes it! Thank you so much guys for being so great!
Fantastic experience: The front desk staff, dental assistants, and Dentist are always so friendly, informative, and helpful! Dr. Montero never fails to do her best to make my 2 year old feel comfortable, safe, distracted when she started getting nervous, and still smiling by the end of the exam/cleaning. Best dental experience we could’ve asked for at her age, I think with Dr. Montero’s great help no fears or phobias of the dentist will ever arise! Highly recommend this dental office.
Fantastic experience: My daughter (5 years old) has been coming here for about 2 years. We had both been traumatized by medical visits in the past, but Dr. Liz is such a kind and gentle person! My daughter has gone from crying in my lap during our first visit, to jumping up in the chair and high fiving us during her visit today. I really appreciate Dr. Liz and her staff's approach to child dentistry "When we push children, we traumatize them." This is absolutely correct. I'm really thankful for their understanding and ability to communicate with us and help us feel safe and informed. It has made all the difference for my daughter and I.
Fantastic experience: I took my 3-year-old in for his first-ever dental visit and it went so well! Everyone in the office was friendly and kind, and there was a great deal of attention paid to our concerns about artificial colors and flavors in the cleaning materials. They were able to accommodate us completely. We will definitely be back. Thank you, Manor Kids Dentist!
Fantastic experience: This is an amazing dentist office! The entire team is friendly and inviting every single visit. The dental work has always been excellent for my 2 year old. We've been going since he was a wee lad. They are gentle with both baby and mom; my favorite part of each visit is interacting with the dentist and dental assistant. They are incredibly encouraging, they take the time to ensure my child is healthy, they coach me and encourage me as needed, and they are so much fun for my son. He's learning that going to see the dentist is a fun and positive experience - score!
Fantastic experience: This place has a great kid friendly atmosphere. They was very good with my 5 year old daughter. They explained everything that they was going to do to her and they explained everything to me also. As a Mom that is something that I liked to see. Friendly all the way from the front desk to the back where the procedures happened. definitely would advise them to anyone.
Fantastic experience: I’ve already been here twice with my son (who’s 1.5yo). Staff is very sweet and attentive and the dentist and DA are also very good and patient with my kiddo. I haven’t had any issues scheduling or rescheduling appointments.
Negative experience: The staff is good. Just keep in mind if you need to reschedule one or two times regardless the situation. And things can come up, life happens, and your trying to explain to them, they wont take it to conceration. They would say policy is policy, I understand thar part but you cant predict the future. If u miss or reschedule or whatever it is your account will be deactivated which means that you can't go back to them and need to find someone else. The location is great but once you start finding how they run things it's totally different.
Fantastic experience: Definitely love coming to you guys! Nylah has always loved coming and always enjoys her time Thank you all for being so good to my baby!
Fantastic experience: Great experience. From the moment you get in and are welcomed by the front desk staff are very kind and welcoming. We also love coming and seeing Dr. Montero. She’s so kind and personable and also does great work. We drive 30 mins to bring our girls because of these reasons. We love Manor Kids Dentist!
Fantastic experience: The overall experience was very pleasant. This was my sons first dentist visit. From booking to meeting the doctor the staff was helpful and friendly. Quickly in and out with a great waiting room for the younger kiddos. Would recommended!
Fantastic experience: Great experience! My kids were nervous about visiting the dentist. All the employees were so friendly, it put my little girls at ease! Definitely a great place to go!
Fantastic experience: You know they are doing something magical when your kids are EXCITED to go see the dentist! Every single person who works here are absolute best! Everyone is is so caring and has so much patience, they are always pleasant. They take the time with your kiddos and also keep parents well informed during and after the cleaning/procedures. Everyone here is awesome, but a special shout out to Dr. Liz she is the sweetest dentist and takes such good care to make the experience as fun as possible (cause lets be real, getting a 2yr old to do anything can be a challenge!) And she is so thorough. This office is a gem here in Manor!
Fantastic experience: The whole staff are super sweet. The assistants are very patient and kind. My kids love coming to this dentist. My littlest was very nervous, but they made him feel comfortable by being patient and talking to him and showing him everything before getting started. The Dentists are great! They answered all of my questions with great detail. I love this place!
Fantastic experience: The receptions staff are extremely nice and helpful. I had the pleasure of booking an appointment with Lily and her upbeat personality really set the tone for my child's next visit. The dentist office is probably one of the least fun places to be but I have to admit, a good attitude from staff goes a long way.
Fantastic experience: Always such a great experience in this place. Even my kid said after leaving the appointment this morning "People here are so nice!!". Thank you everyone for making visiting the dentist a good experience!!!
Fantastic experience: The Most Wonderful Staff and crew I've had the pleasure of meeting. My 4 kiddos are seen here and everyone is always in such a chipper friendly most happy mood! The praises and ways they speak to my kids when having any procedures or cleanings done is well received and appreciated. Always clean, professional, and just on point w everything. My kids love coming here. They know how to calm the kids, and just make them comfortable in every way. Good job yall! We love having you in Manor Texas
Fantastic experience: From the moment we spoke on the phone to the moment we walked out the door, my experience with Manor Kids Dentist was phenomenal. The staff are obviously experts in dentistry, and their personable demeanors make them perfect for serving our youngest humans. Kind, respectful, engaging, and friendly. You feel welcome in the community, and it truly does feel like one. Our dentist talked me through each step she took with my child, explaining each decision she made, and even took the time to show me what she was noticing and teach me what it meant. I scheduled this appointment due to an immediate need, but by the end of the visit, I scheduled check-ups for my other three children as well. This is a community I want to be a part of.
Negative experience: Loved the health protocols and professionalism. They have a strict policy for reschedules. I can understand a no show. However, a work meeting popped up and I called them 24 hours before the appointment. Because we had rescheduled two times within the year they said they would have to suspend our account for 12 months if I couldn't make this appointment. As a busy working mother I find this policy frustrating and inconsiderate. No shows or same day cancelations are one thing. I would totally understand 3 strikes you're out. But when you have 24 hours notice I am sure there are other patients that would take that appointment. I've also only rescheduled twice for two different kids. They see cancelations and reschedule by family, not individual. With four kids... life is bound to happen. They also will drop you if you don't agree with their recommendations. I went through their texts, emails, website and couldn't find this policy anywhere. This place is a bit too strict. Be careful and aware if you decide to book with them. They'd rather lose 4 patients, than reschedule an appointment? As a business owner I am flabbergasted.
Fantastic experience: Every person I encounter at this office is consistently, friendly, kind, and professional! I feel confident entrusting my children with them. I love it here.
Fantastic experience: I am so grateful for Manor Kids Dentist. I scheduled an appointment for a second opinion visit. After Lone Star Pediatric Dental said my son had a cavity. Lily who made our appointment was so helpful and sweet and the day of our visit Dr. Montero was amazing. Her bedside manner and how she explains everything to you. She went over my sons chart and said that it’s a possibility that the stain on the back of his tooth was from his liquid iron supplement. When she examined his tooth it turned on that she was able to scrape the stain away and that it was a stain and not a cavity like the other office had diagnosed. I highly recommend this place. They’re all about the health of your child’s mouth.
Fantastic experience: We take our kids to Manor Kids Dentist for all their dental needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly with the kids. A very clean location and enough space for kids to play
Fantastic experience: Oh my goodness! If your kids are going to @Manor Kids Dentist listen to this! Now that I have your attention: If your kids are NOT going to Manor Kids Dentist you need to change it now and start bringing them here! Amazing staff! Today I brought my 4 kids in for check up’s and it was great. After (I will not say the situation) but I just felt so much love today. This is my he BEST DENTIST place in my 16 years of brining kids to the dentist! I have anxiety and ever time I come into this place it goes away. The people here are amazing, welcoming, family oriented and so easy to talk to, makes you feel great seriously! There is even a play room your little ones can play in! I have never ever had a problem and we have been going here for the past 6-7 years now! You will love this place just as much! Thank you Manor Kids Dentist ! I have so much more respect for this place!
Fantastic experience: Wonderful, no issues, and I will definitely recommend to my friends for their kids as well. Overall amazing experience couldn't have been better.
Negative experience: The only good thing about this dental office is the location! It's off the 290, near fast food places and not very far from Walmart which is perfect if you need to run a few errands after leaving the dentist. Aside from that they are extra paranoid about covid-19 (must sanitize your pen, temperature checks, no food allowed NOT even water, only 1 parent allowed to accompany patient). They charge a fee to book an appointment, cell phones are prohibited and upon visiting them for the first time they'll practically beg you to give them a good Google review. The office was clean and staff was polite however, I don't fully trust them. I booked a return appointment so that my daughter could finish her treatment, she had a few cavities but instead of the dentist treating all cavities at once they decided to have us return. That equals a $50 deposit per return appointment!! We had CHIP insurance which was covering most of the cost however this office required a deposit just to book an appointment. 1st appointment for treatment was 1/31/22 $50 deposit required (2 cavities filled) 2nd appointment for treatment was scheduled for 2/14/22. I booked the appointment in the office on 1/31. They didn't ask for a deposit until I called them 3 days BEFORE my daughter's appointment to update her insurance information. They said to me "oh yeah you need to pay a $50 deposit which is due before we get off of the phone or well have to cancel her appointment". They also gave me an option to "be at their office within 20 minutes to pay the $50 deposit or the system will automatically cancel my daughter's appointment". This office is a rip-off! I told them to cancel the appointment and I found a MUCH better dental office only a few miles away! For anyone reading this review I highly recommend Austin Pearls Pediatric Dentistry 3607 Manor Road suite 103 Austin, TX 78723 My daughter's diagnosis at her new dental office was different from what Manor Kids Dentist told me she needed. Now I see that they were trying to do work on her mouth that she did not need!! Be careful going to Manor Kids Dentist office. It's sad when dental offices become untrustworthy and are overly nice for "good" Google Reviews, yet they are underhandedly trying to rip you off. Shame on them!
Fantastic experience: First time visiting for my son and was impressed of how sparkly clean the place was! Saw Dr. Liz Montero and she was a gem! Only thing that is disappointing about living in this time was only one parent was allowed. Really wanted my husband there so he can experience his sons first dental visit. All in all, great place, great staff!
Fantastic experience: I’m so glad I found Manor Kids Dentist. Everyone in the office are so sweet and kind. Dr. Montero and Dr. Sama are so nice and caring, they all make my daughter feel very comfortable when coming in to her dental visits. I have recommended this office to other family members and they all like Manor Kids Dentist. Thank you everyone at Manor Kids Dentist for making every dental appointment a good experience.
Fantastic experience: I took my 3 year old son there and I’m super gracious and thankful for their service. Very friendly and kind staff and the doctor was very helpful with explaining the treatment and very gentle with my 3 year old. I would 100 percent recommend.
Fantastic experience: Great customer service and they always pay attention to detail. I brought my kids here and Dr Montero and her team are the best! If you want your children to have a great dental experience, bring them here. l recommend Manor Kids Dentist 100%!
Fantastic experience: I recently took my 16 month old son for his first dental visit and it was a great experience for him and myself. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly. The dentist was also friendly, informative and most importantly really good at what she does. I’m so thankful to find a great dentist for my son close to home.
Fantastic experience: 5 star ⭐️ dentist office for sure. My children are patient’s of Dr Sama. She is absolutely amazing, she is so professional. She explains everything along the way to make sure her patients are as comfortable as possible. The staff are so professional and friendly. My toddler was so nervous to visit the dentist. They made her feel safe and talked her though everything to make her feel as comfortable as possible. My toddler came out of the dentist office so happy, even stating she was not scared of the dentist anymore.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely awesome. The staff are amazing - so friendly and great with the kiddos. I brought my 2yo daughter here for her first dental appointment and 5yo son for his regular check up. Couldn’t have asked for nicer, more professional people. The clinic is spotless and the team is very prompt. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: This is one of the best Dental offices I've ever been to in terms of Staff and overall appeal. It is awesomely designed. My daughter really enjoyed her time with Dr. Sama and her staff. Thanks, and kudos to your team, Dr. Sama!!
Fantastic experience: I am so delighted that I chose to take my daughter here for her first ever dentist visit. She was very nervous and I wanted to find a place that would be careful and gentle with her and this was the perfect choice. At every step of the way, every single staff member was beyond kind and attentive to detail, and what was going to be a difficult visit regardless of where we went due to my daughter’s nervousness was absolutely the kind and caring visit I hoped for. A special thanks has to go out to multiple members of the front desk staff, who worked through some insurance mistakes I made on my forms, and made multiple phone calls to help me get the right information. They went above and beyond anything I would have expected to get it right. It was awesome from start to finish. Luckily they do take my insurance which was great, but even if they didn’t, I would still continue coming here because I find it hard to picture a better place to take my child. My daughter and I both left her visit all smiles and I can’t recommend them enough.
Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my son to Manor Kids Dentist twice now. He is a wiggly toddler and very much not interested in having his teeth brushed for a long time. Everyone there was very patient and kind and took extra steps to make sure he knew everything they were doing.
Fantastic experience: This was better than I could have asked for! It was my daughters first dentist visit ever and the dentist and whole staff was so kind and welcoming. They made us feel safe and comfortable. They are handling Covid in a very safe way. My daughter and I will be back!
Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with my son's first visit here. I appreciated the time they took to show/explain everything. They also kept checking in to see if I had questions. I didn't feel rushed like our previous dentist. We will definitely continue to use this practice for my son's dental visits.
Fantastic experience: This was my baby's first time at the dentist and it was an amazing experience! All the staff were kind, caring and great with kids. They went beyond on making my son and I feel safe and comfortable. Dr. Montero was friendly and gentle with my baby. She was very helpful and informative. Definitely will recommend this place to everyone who has kiddos.
Fantastic experience: Manor Kids dentist is THE BEST! We’ve been taking our little guy since he’s been 6 months old and have had nothing but exceptional experiences here. Dr. Montero is so thorough and good with him - she sings and makes his cleanings and exams so fun. He’s never even cried during them! The office and exam rooms are so modern and clean. They also have an awesome play room with a projector off of the lobby to entertain the kiddos while you wait. The office staff is also beyond amazing - they’re truly the most friendly and professional team of people. I can’t recommend this practice enough!
Fantastic experience: What a great dental experience for my little one, now 2. Everyone at MKD is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, & treats you as their own. Always eager to answer any questions I have. Everyone is so sweet to my shy little girl and now she really looks forward to her future ,checkups. Thanks, MKD!! You're the best!!
Fantastic experience: We have just moved to manor and stumbled upon Manor kids dentist and figured we could give it a go! The customer service is exceptional. The receptionist that helped us make the appointment was very helpful and personable. That was very refreshing to me! The dentist was very friendly and cheerful! My 2.5 year old son absolutely loved the place. He didn’t even cry when she asked him to open his mouth! She’s the best pediatric dentist we’ve had and I’m happy with that! I also loved that they adhere very strictly to CDC recs. The place was very clean. The waiting room was small but they made sure everybody was wearing a mask. They sanitized everybody’s hands as they entered. I felt safe even with a toddler who inevitably would touch everything…
Fantastic experience: My son has been visiting since 2017. He is 6 now. He was instantly in love with the wating room activities and stays after to play. The staff and dentist are great with him. They were patient with my son, and were engaged in easing him into what's important. We as a family love Manor Kids Dentist because they treat us like family. Wonderful staff and very kind.
Fantastic experience: Amazing place! Me and my family have moved around and have been to several different dentist and my daughter love it here! The staff is amazing and so friendly by far the best we have ever been to! They are amazing no matter the situation and so understanding life happens and they have never given me a hard time with anything and that is something that is hard to find! Thank you for being so amazing!!
Fantastic experience: My boys actually enjoy going here. Never can across a rude staff member.even when my youngest needed some dental work my 7 year old never even noticed the shots to be numbed. All staff is so sweet and amazing and always remember you and your children! The dentist explains everything shes putting in your childs mouth and makes them feel more at ease and not scared. We live 30 mins away now and plenty of closer offices but we will always make the drive to go here for cleanings and emergencies!
Negative experience: I called today because I couldn't make it for my daughter appointment because I got my COVID shot and had me feeling very sick to the point having difficulty breathing, and "Lili" I think that's her name because she Refused to give to me, after she made me so mad after I literally just said I didn't feel good. Just because I called 1hr later to tell them I couldn't take my daughter they took her off PERMANENTLY like WOW but what got me more mad is how she said it. Your mistake for feeling sick and they take it out on the kids and it's a kids dentist. Maybe it is a GOOD thing that they won't be going their all of my 4 kids because yes they lost 4 patients and I know they won't care because the one that answer the phone definitely did not. Oh yeah and the other time that I called out it was due to COVID has well because they where expose.
Fantastic experience: Every visit is wonderful. They have professional, caring and knowledgeable receptionist, front desk clerks, dental assistants, and dentist. My little one has so much fun on each visit. I also love that it is also a judgment-free zone.
Fantastic experience: The staff is extremely nice and treat the kids well. I love the patience the doctor has when she’s with the children. Highly recommend this dentist office especially for first timers who are afraid.
Negative experience: My biggest issue is that I had 2-3 emails reminding me of the appointment. NONE of them mentioned the 48-hour advance notice needed for insurance. The emails just said to arrive 15-minutes early to the appointment with your ID and insurance card. It wasn't until they called me *literally* 48-hours before the appointment asking for the insurance information, which I was in a meeting and didn't answer the call. The voicemail made no mention of the importance of giving them the insurance info. The next email was a day before saying I was going to $69.99 because I didn't give them insurance information the day prior. If they need that much time to verify insurance then it should be mentioned when booking the appointment and in the 2-3 emails leading up to the appointment. Hopefully this feedback helps them give the information out to patients better.
Fantastic experience: It was a great experience from start to finish. Lily is the lady who called me and her voice was very welcoming! She is very clear and friendly. I knew what to expect, what to bring, itemized costs and their Covid procedures. The staff was gentle and professional- explaining everything and making sure comfort level was always good. The facility was immaculate. Dr Sama is professional and very sweet. She made sure I knew exactly what was going on and explained everything in perfect detail. I’m so glad I picked this office. Excellent customer service consistently
Fantastic experience: Amazing staff! Everyone was so sweet & very welcoming. My kids felt safe & they can’t wait to come back. I would 100% recommend this place to my family & friends.
Fantastic experience: Took my son for his first dentist appointment, felt secure the minute we waked in, all posible COVID precautions where taken, Doctor Liz was very informative. Both front and back staff were very nice to mee and my son. I will recommend this place, will also be bringing my daughter when she gets old enough for her dentist appointment.
