Fantastic experience: My son had an emergency and they got him in right away. They took the best care of him and made sure he was comfortable. I am amazed at how caring the staff is and how excellent the skills are from everyone in that office. I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past. To the point I get a huge amount of anxiety and scared to go. Garrison Family Dentistry has been so wonderful to me. I still get anxiety, but they are always kind, gentle and understanding. The work they do is superb and I love all my results! I highly recommend. Plus they have a few great payment options for people who don’t have dental insurance.

I’ve been going here for several years and I have yet to have a negative experience. I started seeing the hygienist, Courtney, for my cleanings and she is fantastic. She’s very communicative about what she’s doing during the cleaning, she educates as she goes, and she even tells funny stories so you don’t just have to sit there and twiddle your thumbs. Dr. Garrison is great. He’s very efficient with his work, his assistants seem to be very knowledgeable and well prepared. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good, reliable dentist.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff from the moment I walked in. Had a crown replaced and it was painless. I'm currently in a motorized wheelchair. They accommodated the wheelchair, no problem. Discounts are available for those without insurance. Cleaning by a Dental Hygienist has always been painless. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: I've dealt with other dentist, but never felt like I was listen to or my actual teeth mattered, just their most expensive solution, but at Garrison I walked out feeling like they had discussed all options of correcting my teeth were explained to me in detail and between myself and the dentist we came up with a solution that I felt great about and it wasn't the most expensive solution, I would recommend Garrison to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: I am always greeted warmly at the desk. My hygienist Amanda is always friendly and once in the chair she is careful when cleaning my teeth. She is patient with my phobia of dentistry which has helped me get over my fears. I know she will take that in consideration which makes me feel safe. I can go to the office without trepidation. Dr . Garrison has done a root canal on me and it didn't even hurt!

Negative experience: Everytime I go for my cleaning I end up waiting past my appointment time. Today I waited 25 mins past, and had to reschedule, for 2 months out. Not my fault and yet I now have to wait months. Honestly thinking of switching dentists.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had great experiences both times that I’ve been to this practice. My dentist hygienist, Amanda, is very friendly and takes great care of my teeth. The dentists are professional and kind. Highly recommend this office! They don’t push extra services on you either like whitening or mouth guards for snoring like my previous dentist did.

Fantastic experience: I had two teeth prepped today for adjacent crowns. Great job with injecting the numbing agent, didn't feel a thing. She numbed the injection area with a gel prior to the injection (the injection is part I dislike the most). The lady dentist (I'm sorry I don't remember her name) was wiggling my lips while injecting, a great physiological trick where you feel the pressure, but not the poke of the injection. I could explain why, but that's not important. Pain free is the main message.

Fantastic experience: Yes- 5 stars! These professionals are nice people, knowledgeable - expert in technique!, have good equipment - a really good experience of dentistry. The office is really modern and very nice, the fees are not more than typical for dentistry. I'm glad I left the UMKC school of dentistry for this office. UMKC was thorough, but after 27 good years, I had a bad experience there of getting my cheek, tongue, and gum drilled! After they blamed me for "biting my cheek" for 10+ pain (not at all what happened!) this is nice! This doctor knows how to give shots that are benign, expertly handles a drill, has expert assistants, and is sensitive about patient pain. But, not just comparing it to UMKC, it's my opinion that this office is very much more superlative than others out there. It is a great place to go to get work done on your teeth!

Fantastic experience: 03-2025 - Amanda is friendly, professional and thorough. We have been going to Garrison for 20 yrs and always appreciated the care. I am increasingly frustrated with what used to be a standard 6-month checkup is being pushed to 6-1/2 to 7 months - not because of my availability but because the office is overbooked. I understand practices grow but I hope the office can find a way to balance that growth with timely access to routine care Update 11/2025 - Office has expanded, space, parking, and hygienists, Drs. I was able to get a 6-mo followup. 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: I had to make a last minute appointment and the team accommodated the need. The team was professional and helped me get in and out quickly, yet they did not cut any corners.

Positive experience: Used to absolutely love this practice, you can tell each staff member loves their jobs, and are fully committed to their careers. the care I've received here over the years cant be matched. Only bad encounter i had was with one of the ladies at the front desk, I had to reschedule my appt last minute due to an emergency. (the FIRST time I've EVER done so in 6 years of continued care with this practice). Well the front desk lady decided to charge me the $50 cancelation fee. Didn't ask when I'd like to reschedule nothing. In my opinion this fee should be reserved for chronic last min reschedulers More than 1-2 a year, ABSOLUTELY the fee is warranted.... but ONCE in 6 years?! it will never be paid but just a warning for others that may start their families' care here. If this is the correct policy interpretation, I will never be returning, if it's not, i would consider coaching the front desk staff.

Fantastic experience: After going to Garrison Family Dentistry for several years now, I had to share what I told Dr Garrison today. Before I started coming to them I couldn't enjoy ice cream or hot drinks. Since I've been coming to them, after the first visit, I can take a bite right out of an ice cream cone or drink hot coffee with no problem at all. They make it a point to never hurt their patient and I've NEVER felt any pain during or after a visit. The entire staff are amazing people that truly care about the people that come in. I HIGHLY recommend Garrison Family Dentistry to anyone.

Fantastic experience: We just moved further north and were in a rush to find a new dental practice. I was blown away by this place! I was amazed that they were able to squeeze my 9 yr old in so quickly when I explained he had some tooth pain. They squeezed him in the day I called! The administration personnel were extremely kind upon arriving. The assistant and Doctor Becknell, were so patient and phenomenal with my son, who gets extremely nervous with any kind of doctor! They were also super helpful in figuring out the pediatric dentist referrals, etc. I have had so many bad experiences with dentist offices and this place was just amazing in every way. I look forward to continuing to use them for years to come! Highly recommend, especially with young ones!

Fantastic experience: Today I had my first appointment at Garrison Family Dentistry and I can honestly said I have found my new dentist office! It’s easy to get to, the office is beautiful and best of all the people are amazing! I look forward to going to Garrison for all my Dental needs!!!

There was actually a time where they looked close to what I wanted with just a very slight difference and Dr Garrison told me "Be Picky. This is your smile and its forever. Be picky" I really needed that reminder in that moment. I was picky after that and they came out perfect. I so appreciated the entire experience!

Not knowing if he was going to get reimbursed or not he pulled a piece of my tooth just to take the pain away! Dentists don’t do that kind of stuff anymore.
