Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Angulo over 20yrs. He’s terrific. Alison has been cleaning my teeth all this time. The office has all modern equipment. He also did a great match on a partial for me many years ago. It’s still looking great.

Fantastic experience: I'm baffled how I'm supposed to have a tooth pulled that is next to the one that is the problem. I was sent home with an infection. Why was I not given an antibiotic?

Negative experience: I am sharing my experience to encourage transparency and patient advocacy. I was a long-time client, and it pains to have to write such a review. In August 2025, I received a routine dental procedure at Thornton Park Dental Arts that included a mandibular nerve block. Following the procedure, I experienced prolonged numbness (3 Month of numbness followed by weird spider like feeling whenever i touched my lips or applied ChapStick) and altered sensation affecting my lips, chin, and jaw well beyond what I was told to expect. While complications can occur in healthcare, what was most concerning was what followed. After reporting minimal improvement weeks later, I sought clear guidance on next steps, prognosis, and whether there were proactive treatment options beyond waiting. I specifically asked for clarification on a proposed follow-up plan and the possibility of long-term nerve effects. Despite multiple polite and documented follow-up emails over several weeks, my questions went unanswered. Communication eventually stopped altogether while I was still experiencing unresolved symptoms. My symptoms did improve after more than three months. However, the lack of timely response, follow-through, and closure during that period caused significant distress and uncertainty. When patients raise reasonable concerns after a procedure, they deserve clear information, responsiveness, and continuity of care. I am posting this not out of anger, but in the hope that future patients will feel empowered to ask questions and expect consistent communication when something does not feel right.

Usually, when I've had shots for numbing I could feel it, this wasn't the case today....even the extraction was quick and painless. Their program for regular diagnosis and preventive care seems well thought out. After conducting overnight research, I turned to Thornton’s team and showed up with no appointment. Thornton’s team not only met (and exceeded) my expectations, but they were very communicative throughout the entire process, which made a world of difference and put me at ease. It’s clear they work as a very cohesive team and aim for perfection. Oh, and I was able to go back to the work conference like nothing ever happened. Thank you all very much! Fantastic experience: I started seeing Dr. Jorge Angulo since last year, and I have to say he has exceeded my expectations in so many ways! The most that I love about his work is that he is a true perfectionist, and if something isn’t right to him, he will go above and beyond to fix it. He is so particular and takes so much pride in his work, and I am beyond grateful for this in so many ways.

Fantastic experience: If you live in the downtown Orlando area, I highly recommend Thornton Park Dental Arts dentistry. Today, October 27, was my first visit. I am 84 years old and have always been under the care of a dentist. The staff was very friendly, the examination was extensive, and Dr. Fernandes explained clearly all aspects of the findings.

Fantastic experience: Went to my first visit today and had an incredible experience. As someone who has had a lot of dental work, I’ve never been to a practice that functioned this smoothly. I appreciate how thorough they are. In your first visit you get comprehensive X-rays and photos and an evaluation of all of your dental needs. When they then end the visit, they go through all the services, after running it through your insurance and give you a transparent estimate of costs. I really appreciate the professionalism of everyone who works there from the front desk, the dental hygienist and the dentist, Dr. Fernandez was awesome. As an additional update, Vanessa has been my hygienist now for several cleanings and has been great too! You can tell she is very experienced. Always provides great education on dental hygiene needs.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Thornton Park Dental Arts for around 5 years. Everyone is always super friendly and you can tell they really care about their patients. The office doesn’t have that corporatey feel like the big dental chains do. The parking lot is small so sometimes it’s difficult finding a spot, but the office itself is amazing!

Dr. Angulo and Dr. Fernandes took great care of me, explained everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. The rest of the team was just as kind and professional. Negative experience: I’ve been going to this dental office for over a year. Service has been pretty good. It all went down hill when recently wanted a consultation for Invisalign. I made an appointment to get a filling at 2pm and then have the consultation right after. I let the front desk know this information. The day comes for my appointment and they tell me my filling is at 3pm and Invisalign appointment is at 4pm. I called them and told them this is not what I told them and they said they were sorry and that they gave away my original appointment for my filling at 2pm to someone else. On top of all of this I get a bill for my cancellation of the appointment ($45) as well as $11.20 for Flouride that my insurance didn’t cover. Looking into the itemized bill they charge $45 for Flouride and don’t fully inform people of the price prior to offering.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal team and dentist. My previous dentist was closed the day after Christmas so I called in horrible pain at 11 pm as a new patient. They called me at 8am the following morning and got me in immediately. Dr. Angulo determined I needed a root canal. I was crying in pain so he had his team call around and find me a place that would take me immediately. He numbed me up and sent me to an endodontist 20 mins away. I’ve been his patient ever since. I’ve gotten two crowns and a cleaning so far, and he and his team are wonderful. They are on time, helpful, communicative, and good people. He’s got a down to earth personality that makes you feel comfortable too, and he is playful with his staff, which makes the atmosphere nice.

Fantastic experience: As always, you're greeted with warmth and friendliness! My hygienist, A.R., is alway both professional and very friendly. Dr. Angulo is truly awesome! He is professional, friendly, and he offers options for treatments which have always work out great. I'm confident in his opinions. But watch out...he has a wicked/zany sense of humor!

His natural and relaxed personality and style and plain spoken explanation of services is disarming and puts you at ease. You feel like a friend is taking care of you. Whatever procedure I have had, fillings, Crowns and even an extraction ( only because it was a fractured tooth) I have had no pain or complications. I just wish the three states I have lived in and the many dentists I have gone to, would have taken care of me like he has. When I leave his office, I feel very confident that the procedure he has done was to perfection. Fantastic experience: Best dentist in Orlando. For 10 years I hopped from dentist to dentist trying to find a good one. I've been to at least 6 off the top of my head. Most are crooks, sloppy and will mess you up more than when you got there. But THORNTON PARK DENTAL ARTS IS THE BEST IN ORLANDO. Dr Angola fixed 3 crowns that my other dentist couldn't get right. His staff is very friendly, has the lastest tech for the best cleaning, and dental care around. He was the first dentist to make a night bit guard that was actually comfortable enough to wear every night. 10 stars
