Fantastic experience: Have always had a great experience with Allen Park Dental Care. From the front desk staff to the amazing hygienist and doctors. They are vet knowledgeable, transparent, and upfront about cost of any procedures they offer. They all make an effort to establish a relationship with their patients. Both Dr. Greg and Joanne love talking to their patience. They work with your schedule and finances; having a pay in advance option for a procedure option was new to me and so beneficial to my budgeting. Appreciate all the work and care they provide.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Greg is the best dentist I have ever been to. My dental care is hands down Top Notch. Every time I've come in, everyone is so professional, nice, and caring. I just loved coming in today for my annual visit and finding out they remembered things that were not in my chart, like my wedding coming up and the weird thing that I do before I fall asleep. Lol! Fantastic experience: Allen Park Dental is the best ever, from the front desk to your Dr's Greg & Joanne Szalai, to all of the wonderful hygienists...I had CJ today & their office is supper clean with extra air purifiers in the building. Before COVID this office was very clean & did everything the patient needed to keep their teeth & gums healthy. Nice to be able to see their smiles again! They are going the extra mile now to make sure their staff & patients remain healthy. They know what they are doing & suggest the best for whatever your needs are, be it cleaning, crowns, implants, what to do to keep your teeth the best ever....you do know that your teeth health affects your overall health...if you don't google it! Anyway...this dental care office is much better than so many others & very compassionate & friendly staff what a plus & no worries you will get the very best care here! Nice relaxing atmosphere too. Would highly recommend coming here for all your dental care needs! Plus they now take a picture that gives a model of your teeth each year I believe, so if you need a crown, etc no need to put the gel in your mouth anymore, they can do it with the model of your teeth, this is definitely a PLUS..it’s not very comfortable the old way of taking an impression for a crown etc..HAPPY WITH THIS NEW ADDITION, never know when you’re going to need it..THANKS FOR ALL YOU & your staff does to make going to the dentist a pleasant experience

Fantastic experience: What can I say, I Love my Dentist Office visits at Szalai & Szalai, the staff is very friendly and professional, they have the latest technology to make your visit as quick and pleasant as possible. Dr Joann and Dr. Greg are wonderful people and great Dentists, they both have a soft touch, which even makes visiting the dentist enjoyable. All of the hygienists are superb and do a wonderful job, and the ladies at the front desk do a fantastic job. The office environment is relaxing and very clean. Dr. Joanne and all the hygienist and even the staff are so friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: I came to Allen Park Dental Care almost 10 years ago on the advice of my boss. Never have I ever received such quality care from a dentist. I arrived with a bad smile, gum disease and a mouth full of silver fillings. Dr. Greg and Dr. Joanne gave me a new smile, took out all the silver fillings and replaced them with white fillings and corrected my gum disease. I smile big everyday thanks to them.

Fantastic experience: As always, staff and dentist were friendly and pain free. Thx to their excellent care, I rarely, very rarely in fact, have issues with teeth. I'm grateful for the oral screening for cancer, too... all clear!

Negative experience: They do a good job cleaning but seem to tell you after the fact when they do all the work that either your insurance doesn’t cover most of it, or seem to have forgotten your insurance expired. I had called to confirm how much it would have been for just a basic cleaning for me and wife and i was told 60 for each, i had to go into work that day so only my wife ended being cleaned,i had to cancel mine and somehow i ended up paying $200 with still owing another 200? Like how? I took the assistance word she said the cleaning was 60 the paste was 10 and the uv light was another 10, she even confirmed that my insurance was accepted!! But when i get to the desk i end up being overcharged and told “we dont know if your insurance covers this and that we are waiting for a response pay us now..” like i booked 2-3 months in advance you couldn’t confirm with them within that time span? I dont plan on ever coming back and im right around the corner, sad because they seem friendly and id love to support a family business but not if im lied to.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Joann Szalai and her assistant (Jamie) were so good at taking care of removing my old crown, fixing my cavity and making me feel very comfortable. Both Drs. Joann and Greg Szalai, and their entire staff, are very friendly and competent. I highly recommend them. Even though our dental insurance company had changed this year and would not cover the cost of this procedure, I felt so strongly about staying with Drs. Joann and Greg Szalai, that it was worth paying our out-of-pocket cost because of their excellent care.

Negative experience: I feel I over pay for the services I get because of the dental insurance coverage your facility accepts. (Delta preferred compared to Delta premier and did not inform me until I had to find out on my own). I recently had to pay full price for a second cleaning this year because of an insurance coverage change that wasn’t caught. I receive calls, forms, text before my appointment, and I feel I do my part on giving you the information needed, however you didn’t do your part to check the insurance and make sure everything was the same. You told me I owed $275, and once I got frustrated you offered to split the cost. I feel you should have offered before I got frustrated, once I said whatever it is, you went ahead and charged the entire amount, which tells me you wanted to charge the full amount anyway. If there’s a way for me to save money, you keep that information from me, once I find out there is no sympathy and you treat it like it is what it is.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to this office was very nice from the moment I entered the building. The waiting room is comfortable and inviting with real living room chairs, throw pillows and house plants. The folks at the check in desk were very friendly and know how to communicate, they made me feel like we’ve been friends for a long time. The hygienist I saw was wonderful too! The equipment for taking x-rays was very modern and not uncomfortable at all. I’ve never had a dentist office take actual pictures of my mouth with camera before. They also had a digital scanner that took pictures of my entire mouth and created an image of my entire set of teeth that was 3D. I could see every filing in my mouth and what condition it is in. Also all the tater/ plaque that is built up on every tooth. The hygienist was very enthusiastic and explained everything she did and what was going on in my mouth. Again I’ve never had a dentist office go into such depth about my entire mouth. Met with the doctor who was also very friendly and discussed what treatment I needed and said he was consulting with my Periodontist on what the best coarse of action I would need. This was just on the first visit. I’m actually excited to continue working with this office on fixing and maintaining my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Over 25 years being a patient at this office. I gladly drive from Birmingham to get the finest treatment with state of the art equipment. They are always friendly and make you feel comfortable and welcome.

Fantastic experience: Finding Dr.Joann and the staff here was truly a blessing. I was at a point where I had very few teeth left, and the ones I did have were all broken, leaving me with no smile and tons of shame and embarrassment, feeling so low and even unprofessional at my job. My outside didn't match my inside and I hid my face, did not talk much and covered my mouth to avoid watching people's eyes go straight to the mess that I had for a mouth. I was at a point of depression and mental turmoil that it was becoming a daily struggle to leave my room let alone my home. I'm just two weeks I can say joyfully that I now have a beautiful smile, and instead of being terrified about some more up coming work, I am comfortable and excited. We have been sincerely impressed with them since the first time we went there. Both Drs. Szalai and their team has taken great care of our many dental needs. We also appreciate that they help us understand any charges in advance, so there are no unexpected fees. For us, this was a welcoming change since our previous dentist didn’t do so and we ended up paying several unexpected bills. After six years, we are moving away from the Downriver area. While we are sad to leave APDC, we feel truly fortunate to have been taken care of by them. APDC has shown us what a difference an exemplary great dental team can make. Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff. The hygienist was kind. Dr. Greg took time to explain to me about the build up around my tooth. They answered my questions to the best of their knowledge and I was extremely satisfied with their services. It was my first time being at the Dental office and I can say it was a great experience. I will certainly be back for more procedures.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient for two years here. When I had a dental emergency they got me in super fast and walked me through a tough situation. I was super freaked out but they made it much easier by being quick, friendly and thorough. This is the kind of office that has a family vibe and I’m happy I had moved to this office before my emergency. I would recommend over and over if you are the least bit freaked out by the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had two appointments in two days: one a routine cleaning and one to repair a crown that popped off. The crown was put on about 35 years ago by another dentist. C.J. did the cleaning. She is always professional and thorough and compassionate. Hard to get an appointment with her because she is the best at what she does. The crown incident was reviewed by Dr. Joanne. She and he very capable assistant were very thorough and compassionate. She saved me a lot of money by cementing the old crown back in instead of insisting on a new crown. The office staff/cashiers were also extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about insurance issues. Thank you to the entire staff. I would have to say this was an very enjoyable visit to A.P.D.C.
