Positive experience: Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the dental cleaning during our recent visit. I wasn’t given a clear explanation of how the hygiene procedure would go, even after I asked to be present during my children’s appointments. We were placed in a separate room where both of my kids (ages 5 and 7) received a very basic cleaning using a manual toothbrush — the kind usually used for toddlers. While I appreciated that the dentist later explained the X-rays and what to expect at the next preventive visit in six months, I feel the cleaning itself was not appropriate for their age and not thorough enough. I expected a more professional approach for a pediatric dental visit.

Negative experience: The dentists are fantastic. The front desk is a different story. The ease of appointment making, appointment availability, communication, and professionalism is beyond sub par. I’ve taken my girls since 6 months truly only because of the dentist’s. I had to cancel a 6 month check up in June because my twins were sick. There was NOTHING available until NOVEMBER !!!!! That would put them at a month shy of a year in between routine check ups ! This location is just way too busy and the overwhelmed feelings from the staff is clearly communicated in their attitudes. I promise you there are better offices with better attitudes !

Negative experience: We were late by only 15 minutes to our appointment and the front desk lady decided to have an attitude with my kids while we tried to reschedule. Even when we are on-time, we would usually have to wait around half an hour in the lobby before being seen.

Negative experience: The front desk lady was rude, she didn't have patience to figure out my insurance. Very relactant to take time to call my insurance company. At the end I am the one who called and faxed over dental benefits. But my son said the doctor was nice!!

Negative experience: Doctor saw my feet and only gave me an over the counter cream, why would I go to a doctor's office if only to be giving an over counter medication and not RX medication.

Negative experience: They do NOT accommodate children with special needs! I have gone here for three years and have finally decided to change practices after multiple instances where I tried to advocate to be present in the appointment with my children who are on the spectrum and have high anxiety. They discourage parents from leaving the waiting room, and if you insist, you may get your appointment canceled or have to wait for hours for a private room. The woman on the phone recently insisted that my children should try to go back by themselves, even though I insisted that this would not work for my autistic child. These are ridiculous and discriminatory practices that should not be allowed!!!!

Negative experience: Waited over an hour annd 15mins and receptionist was very rude when I asked for the reason we had to wait too long. Planning on moving my kids to another dental clinic.
Negative experience: Horrible made an appointment at 3 and waited for another 1 hour so didn’t even stay .. we walk out .. ppls came in and actually get to see the doctor first than us .. what the point in making appointments if you still have to wait 1 or 2 hours .. disgusted with the staff they are not friendly or helpful

Negative experience: Very long waiting time , front desk didnt explain to me that i need to take my daughter to take picture for her teeth and stayed waiting an hour unti i went to ask again why they didnt call me and someone told me that i have to take it ti the back to take a picture for teeth

Negative experience: The women at the reception were very bad in their treatment. They made me wait for my turn for a whole hour, and when I asked them when my turn was, they said wait. When I went to the doctor, he said that they made me wait a long time and started apologizing. He was very nice, but I am very upset with the treatment of the reception. They should be changed.

Negative experience: One reception is at the desk acted like she didn’t really want to continue to help with my insurance information, but on the other hand, the other young lady was very helpful and got everything situated after I had to go out and call my provider myself.

Negative experience: The woman who checks you in on the orthodontist side is hands down one of the rudest people I have come into contact with. Unfortunately she's there always and makes the experience of being there feel so uneasy. It's sad that the dentist might be great yet your staff are the people who ruin the experience or informing anyone of anything good here

Positive experience: I gave it 3 stars because the dentist who worked on my daughter on her last visit was very nice and my daughter liked them . However, she disliked the previous times because she said they were unprofessional and “not friendly”. I also don’t like the fact parents can’t accompany their kid to get seen.
Hello, and thank you for the feedback! We certainly understand and appreciate your concern. If a parent wishes to be present during the entire cleaning, a private room can be requested. Unfortunately, there may be a wait for this as they are reserved for our youngest children and those who require parental participation. When in our open concept hygiene bay, all children are together, and able to see that dentistry is not so scary! The open bay ensures that no child is ever left on their own, and is always visible to our team. We welcome parents to join their child once their cleaning is complete to discuss treatment planning and outcomes with our dentists.

Fantastic experience: THE MOST RESPONSIBLE AND RESPECTFUL DENTAL OFFICE IN THE STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA! Very organized and very helpful. Wow !!! Amazing people . My daughter is 9 now and every time seems to be the first time. My youngest has been there since age 1 and now she’s 5 , which is obsessed with the staff . I also have a new addition to the family, she is two years old and has been attending this dentist for two years now, and she does amazingly great. Negative experience: Absolutely Disappointed and Frustrated I had a terrible experience with Pediatric Dental Associates. I scheduled an appointment months in advance for my 1-year-old son to receive treatment that was clearly planned and discussed. After taking the time to travel all the way to their office—arranging my day, dealing with a baby, and spending time and money—I was shocked at what happened. Instead of receiving the treatment that was scheduled, they only performed an X-ray and then casually told me that my son would need to wait until he turns TWO YEARS OLD to be treated under general anesthesia in the OR due to the extent of the work needed. This is information that could have easily been communicated to me over the phone. There was absolutely no reason for me to come in for this appointment if nothing could be done. It was a complete waste of my time, energy, and money—not to mention extremely frustrating as a parent trying to get timely care for their child. This level of disorganization and lack of consideration is unacceptable, especially when dealing with young children and concerned parents. I expected much better from a pediatric practice.

Positive experience: Fast an easy.I love the fact that my children like this place. Parking is a bit chaotic at times. Overall it’s ok. I feel like they move a bit to fast on each patient.
Fantastic experience: To be honest I was unsure to come alone with my twins but the staff was still professional and empathetic. I even loved how the dentist even interacted with my twins. It’s stressful when both are busy but the dentist was amazing and the rest of the staff.

Negative experience: The absolute worse! My son was in dental and was suppoto be in orthodontics and they didn't even know where he was. We were there for almost an hour which is very unacceptable. You can never get anyone on the phone..Ever! I regret my decision with choosing thos orthodontist

Positive experience: I usually I don't have a bad visit with this providers office, but some of the personnel needs to be tought privacy rights, I did not like the questions my granddaughter was asked 3 times by 3 different staff on her appointment, the same question, when I was in the waiting room to assist with the question. I did not get a call back from office manager, only an appointment, the staff needs to apologize for this behavior or I will be finding a new dentist for her. Other than that, the sign in staff was very professional, office clean, fast service in and out

Negative experience: I went to PDA as child and even had my braces done by them over 20yrs ago. That’s why I’ve taken my daughter there. Staff is really nice and supportive but recently it’s been an assembly line. We waited in line to check in for 20min. My daughter was sent back quickly, but sat waiting for over 30min. I spoke to the receptionist and she went to the back. Ultimately, it took almost 2hrs for a simple cleaning. Thinking of finding a new dentist….

Fantastic experience: Orthodontic adjustments are quick and easy. They get you in and out in about ten to fifteen minutes. My daughter always says it’s painless and she enjoys going.

Fantastic experience: My son had a 11:30 appointment seen on time, 1:20 appointment with the Orthodontist I was thankful for the services today great staff and they also kept me informed
Positive experience: It disappoints the fact that children enter alone (without their parents) and the two times I was they did not explain what was done. They gave me the child and I left. So they said all treatment was done and to come back in six months. They put a silver crown on her tooth and I don't know if she needed exactly that or it could be made with white resin to aesthetically get better. I confess to being disappointed, especially with the issue of her coming on her own.

Negative experience: I’ve been bringing my kids here for almost 5 years. This was the first time we’ve ever had a bad experience. The front desk has no idea what they are doing. I was sent an online check-in which I completed and when I went in they made me completely the same exact form over again. The doctor who saw my 5yo son should NOT be seeing kids. She had the worse attitude and energy was really bad. I wouldn’t trust her to service any child without their parent around. The assistant who was in the room with her seemed scared to be there. Our appt was for 7:30. When we arrived the receptionist let us know we were the first family there. It took them 2 hours to x-ray my oldest son and clean his teeth. Come to find out the front desk was taking the charts back and messing up the order of the patients. My son was being skipped and skipped. I went to the front desk twice about it and I kept being told he was next.

Negative experience: The assistant that work there that's a female my daughter don't know her name who assistanted the doctor for my daughter's brace appointment is very unprofessional!!!! My daughter said she spoke to her very rude made her wait while she was on her phone worried about a package!!!! I am so sick and tired of people that suppose to be in a business setting on their damn phones when u have a job to be doing!!! She expressed to my daughter she didn't see the importance of her being there and why was she there for an emergency appointment and talked about other children. To my daughter but yet in fact she had a bracket broken!!!!! This office is the worst and I don't recommend them they never answer the phone u get the run around when they do cause u have call a completely different location!!!!! They have a phone line but don't answer it smh I CANT WAIT UNTIL THE DAY MY DAUGHTER GET THESE BRACES OFF AND WE CAN BE DONE WITH THEM!!!!!! But the next time my daughter tells me some unprofessional stuff I will be saying something to the damn staff while there!!!!!! I PROMISE

Negative experience: It seems every time I take my daughter she has a new cavity! They are money hungry. She takes great care of her teeth, even ortho says so! I wouldn’t recommend this place to my dog!!

Fantastic experience: Pediatric Dental has been a blessing to me. My two sons are patients, and have been for the last three years. The children are unafraid of their appts. This office is definitely a Gentle Dental.
Fantastic experience: She had an easy time this time although she did say that when she asked the dentist to go a little soft on pulling her tooth this time, this dentist told her, “please don’t tell me how to do my job.” But the fact that she came out calm, not crying, not scared the way she went into the dentist, makes me happy enough.

Fantastic experience: Great, lovely and welcoming place. They have bilingual workesr, this is great because my mom only speaks Spanish and they could communicate with her. However, I assisted this place for the process of my braces and I always had a concern… THEY NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE. They have a dentist and orthodontist office, but the orthodontist office would never answer the phone, and if they ever called back, it would be 2-3 days later.

Negative experience: So the day before my daughter appointment they do the called the night before as a reminder , I asked hey is it just for my daughter or any of my other children… she said no just her … I said okay I take my daughter to her appointment and once we walk out I got a call saying my son missed him appointment I was still standing outside when they called I said I just asked you guys the night before was it for one child or my other kids also !!! So now I have to miss another day of work because of them ! Then when you complain they make it seem like you’re wrong and you don’t know what you’re talking about smh , all these places are terrible nobody wants to do the work !

Negative experience: Two years ago, we started with Pediatric Dental Association of Southampton on Jaymor Road. Our experience there was great, and after a year of visits, I left a 5-star review because everything was smooth, and we had no issues. However, after the office moved to Northeast Philly, our experience took a turn. Our first visit to the new location was last year, and we returned again at the beginning of this year—this is when things started to change. This year, when all four of my kids went in for their routine check-ups (which are covered by insurance), I noticed unexpected charges on our bill. Despite specifically requesting no fluoride treatment by leaving a note at check-in, fluoride was still applied and billed for all four of my kids. Additionally, extra charges—such as X-rays—were added without clear communication about their necessity. The X-ray was only partially covered by insurance, so I had to pay extra out of pocket. I still don’t understand why all three kids needed an X-ray when it was just a routine check-up. While I let the X-ray slide since it was covered in part, the fluoride charge was frustrating, especially since I had explicitly declined it. What shocked me most was my 12-month-old’s visit. The doctor quickly checked his six teeth, told me he had more coming in, and gave us a small toy and toothbrush. That was the extent of the visit. However, when the bill arrived, it included fluoride application, a cleaning, and other services that were never performed. Apparently, even the general advice she gave was listed as a billable service. Another concern is that when my older three children (ages 11, 10, and 6) go in, parents are not allowed to be present. This makes me wonder what exactly happens behind those doors. Were they actually given fluoride, despite my request? I have no way of knowing. To top it off, disputing the incorrect charges was a nightmare. It took two months to resolve, requiring multiple calls between the office and the billing department. It was exhausting and completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, my 5-star review has now dropped to 1-star. We will not be returning. If you choose this office, I strongly advise reviewing the procedures covered under your visit beforehand, asking questions about what will be done, and carefully checking your bill afterward. They added services that were either never performed or directly against my consent, which is unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: My son had an appointment for 8:30 am and by 8:30 am they called his name to be seen they checked him and he has no cavities pediatric dental I would refer any one to you guys great service and no wait

Positive experience: Terrible,because they held my daughter in the back cold room for over an hour without being seen and took children that came way after her served them and sent them out to their parents and once I told them to bring my child out the Dr. Said oh we gonna serve her now and within two minutes she was done ....time to find another dentist where they can serve my children better and not overlooked her skin complexion.

Fantastic experience: My daughter loves going to this dentist. I will say that but is very busy and the quickest appts are typically at 730am.

Negative experience: I’m going to this dentist for 17 years if I’m counting right. The place got nicer but service getting worse. Today my kids’ appointments were at 8 in the morning but they were seen after 9. They call all kids at the same time and have them seated inside in another waiting room. My 4 year old became impatient and started walking. The dentist didn’t even check her teeth properly and nothing else was done. They charged for nothing. I’m never bringing my kids for 6 months check ups anymore. Such a waste of time!

Fantastic experience: Made an appointment for my son for pain and he had a cavities pain and they just had sit there for over an hour with an emergency appointment and told me they just " assessed" the problem but then the next day after X-rays after a different appointment they told me he had 9 cavities?? But couldn't fix not one cavities or x ray the day before for an emergency appointment? This tells me they just want money for doing nothing the day before?? While my child is in pain???

Negative experience: Wish I could give negative stars. Nothing but problems everytime my kids have an appointment. Today they told me I owe $433 for 2 fillings. When I asked why they wouldn't call me a head of time to tell me of the charge and she said "well if you had state insurance it would be free" are you kidding me? You need new front staff. I will no longer be taking my kids there.

Negative experience: Staff at the front desk was not friendly they all looked like they were miserable and I asked how come Noone answers the phone I've been calling 3 days straight they literally ignored me I only found out about my gransons appt the day before when they gave me a friendly reminder.

Positive experience: The ophthalmologist and staff on site are very nice and patient with my 6 year old daughter. She(ophthalmologist) was concerned about how she was doing in school with reading and her eye care. The staff there will work with you. Fantastic experience: It was an amazing experience, the dentist was amazing she made my daughter feel really comfortable and she was really nice.
Negative experience: Terrible. The front desk staff does NOT want to help you at all. Waited 1.5 hr before my son was seen. The dentists are great, but I don’t think I’ll come back to this practice.

Fantastic experience: I really love coming to your office , never had any issues since switch from Elite Dental . Never a long wait in the waiting room , today I came in a half hour early and they took my daughter straight back . It’s really a pleasure coming there .

Negative experience: They are very rude, they tried to have my son go back by himself with no parental supervision. When the dentist saw my son she told his father all she can do for him since he had parental supervision was brush his teeth. The front desk is very unprofessional and rude. I will not be going back there again.
