Fantastic experience: All of my kids go here and we drive a little ways to get here but it’s worth it because the staff just know how to handle all the situations with kids and even we’re so kind to my toddler when she wasn’t a patient yet. HIGHLY recommend. Set up your kids to be comfortable at the dentist for their life.

Negative experience: Not happy about paying 3% for credit card fee then I could not even go to ATM while my daughter was doing exam because they wanted it up front. Pure greed. They should at least have Zelle or not charge for Apple Pay. $180 is a lot for a children’s teeth cleaning. I pay about $115 for mine. We will not be back. They did waive the 3%. I wish they would have told us before exam.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with my experience at Safari Dental in New Port Richey today. I had an 8:00 AM appointment and wasn’t seen until after 9:00 AM—with no real explanation or apology for the delay. If you’re going to schedule early morning appointments, respect your patients’ time and be ready. This kind of wait, especially first thing in the morning, is completely unacceptable. Won’t be coming back.

Fantastic experience: Both my daughters are patients here. My daughter Jayde has had some issues with her teeth and is afraid of the dentist as most of us are. The staff on the dental, as well as the ortho side are so friendly and inviting. They go above and beyond to ensure the kiddos are provided perfect healthy smiles, but also that they're as comfortable as possible. My youngest is next on the list for braces and I couldn't think of another place with how great they did with my oldest!!! Both offices are fast and again so friendly!!! Can't speak highly enough of the entire staff at both offices. From the check in process to x rays to cleanings fillings and braces. No matter what stage or care your child needs, you'll be treated with care and a smile!!! A Safari Dental and Orthodontist can't be beat!! Would highly recommend them to anyone in search of dental care for their children!

Negative experience: Unacceptable Care and Lack of Responsibility I am extremely disappointed with the care my child received at this dental office. The dentist placed a silver crown ( that I did not want, but they would not just do cavity without it) that led to a serious infection, causing my child unnecessary pain and discomfort. Silver crowns are known for causing infections if not installed correctly. When we contacted the office for an emergency appointment, they refused to see us, forcing us to find another provider for urgent treatment. A responsible healthcare professional should prioritize patient well-being, especially when their own work causes complications. Unfortunately, this office showed a complete lack of care and accountability. I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate dental care. Their unnecessary work has caused not only harm to my child, but additional financial spendings. We have reached out to provide documentation and requested a refund, but nobody had called us back as promised. We also be filing a complaint with American Dental association.

There are other cheaper dentistry offices but the atmosphere and experiences I've had are always disappointing. This place is by far the best!

Fantastic experience: My two year old has had some problems with a lip tie and cavities resulting from this. Everyone was so friendly and made sure to explain everything to me so I could make an informative decision. They took care of my daughter’s lip tie while working on her teeth so there wouldn’t be any extra stress on her. They made sure to call and remind me of all the directions before the procedure and called later to make sure she was okay. Later when she chipped her tooth they made sure to see her right away and were able to fix it. My daughter is terrified of doctors and dentist offices and she just screams when inside one yet the staff is patient and tries to make her as comfortable as possible! The doctor and the nurses are so welcoming and kind, I would definitely recommend them to anyone with children!

Fantastic experience: We are new to safari dental as we came to them for a 2nd opinion and now plan on staying put. My son had some tooth issues at a young age that the prior dentist never took seriously, and had talked me into treatment that actually ended up making a couple of my son’s teeth worse. Safari was able to get us in very quickly as new patient and get sedation treatment set up just as quickly. While it was an expensive procedure it had to be done, they only took out the teeth that had to be taken, and fixed the others that were able to be saved. Everyone was extremely kind and knowledgeable. My husband and I were very anxious about the whole experience but we couldn’t have asked for a better care team, they even called to check on us later in the day. Most dentist barely even remember who was seen that day in my opinion. Highly recommended this place, very clean, professional, and kind staff! Thank you for being a saving grace for our little!

Negative experience: 1-Star Review I’m sad to write this, but I cannot recommend this dentist. I brought my baby in for a check-up with concerns about his chipped teeth. They didn’t express any concern at the time, but just a few months later, the situation got worse. I went back, and they took X-rays, only to tell me that my baby had cavities and his teeth needed to be removed. Feeling uneasy, I sought a second opinion from another dentist, and they were able to fix my baby’s teeth without removing them, and not even doing a root canal. It became clear to me that this office doesn’t prioritize saving teeth or considering the long-term well-being of a child’s development. Their prognosis felt like the easy way out rather than exploring all possible solutions. Straight answer was to extract my baby’s teeth. While I’m sure they handle routine check-ups well, I don’t believe this is the right place to go if you have specific concerns. I want others to be aware that there are better options out there with dentists who will work harder to save teeth and offer a more thoughtful approach. This experience was disappointing, and I hope they reconsider their approach to patient care.

And, if you want to know about our experience over the course of treatment I can't say enough great things about this office! We chose to drive an hour and a half after looking for the right orthodontic office. Dr. Yarbough was amazing! He was always personable and friendly even when extremely busy. He would never make me feel rushed if I had questions. The office staff is absolutely exceptional! From the knowledgeable and friendly reception staff to the dental assistants. Crystal and Krista are on another level in our book! Crystal has worked with my daughter from the beginning and truly makes her feel as if she is seeing a friend every visit Krista assisted with removing her braces and celebrated with my daughter like she also was getting her braces off. And, she remembered her on her retainer visit and was genuinely happy to see her. I gush over this office because they treated my daughter (and me) that wonderfully! We both highly recommend this practice!

Negative experience: 0 stars. This place is a joke. I scheduled to take my 3 year old for a checkup. I scheduled the appointment 6 months ahead of time (in January) to get a late appointment because of my work schedule and school. I was called the week before his appointment (in July) to advise the doctor wouldn’t be in late that day and that they couldn’t find another late appointment for 4 months. Fast forward to the day before his appointment in November and I get a call that my insurance is no longer accepted and hasn’t been accepted since May. Here I am having waited MONTHS for an appointment for an office that won’t take my insurance anymore. Nobody in this office truly cares are kids or working moms. This is rude and disrespectful and I do not recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: The staff, service and place when we got there was just so friendly, and very kind, and caring and really made us comfortable while we waited for our daughter. She had to be sedated for some dentistry work to be done.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Sara did a miracle on my daughter!! I drove 45+ minutes to go here and will never go anywhere else again!!! She was able to get a very bad filling done and my daughter never can sit through it but she did magic with her!!! She sat and let Dr. Sara just take care of her and the dr was very thorough with everything she did and even comforted my daughter during the process!!!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with ALL the staff and their system. My son had the worst case scenario with his dental plan since the dentist who put the plan together couldn't get a good look at his mouth due to his fear of his first ever dentist appointment. I was concerned upon arrival when told the details of his procedure but the front desk assured me that it could change after the x-rays and it sure did. He needed 3 crowns less than originally guesstimated and only fillings on those teeth! We got refunded some of the fee. He needed two teeth pulled in which they gave me in a little envelope. The office was clean and they did an amazing job not keeping areas crowded. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Fantastic experience: My grandsons are comfortable going to their appointments and that means a lot. Everything is explained thoroughly and in a friendly manner. The dentists and hygienists always make sure they are comfortable & relaxed. If they are not, they find ways to engage them so they are not anxious. The staff are very helpful. have not had any negative experiences at all. We've been going there for 6 yrs. Keep up the good work.
