Fantastic experience: Came in early, went to the back early. The hygienist was kind and helpful. Dentist was great. They checked and double checked.

Fantastic experience: Wow!!! I am blown away by the exceptional service, friendliness & professionalism displayed by everyone at this facility. I brought my daughter for her first appointment today after visiting numerous pediatric dentists over the last year and UCPD is truly the very best.

Negative experience: Hi, I've taken this down to one star. And I feel like I'm being kind with that. I booked out An appointment for 2 months in advance and they cancel on me 2 days before the appointment telling me. Oh oops, the Doctor's not gonna be in that day. He's got other things to do. This is not the only time I've had problems with them with scheduling appointments. And there's somebody out there on the phone, always with an attitude. If you can't be nice at work, you shouldn't work there. Poor manners Not helpful at all. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Today, I had a bad vibe with a front desk receptionist. I believe she was creating drama for no reason. Otherwise, I am VERY happy for the Spanish speakers employees. THANK Y’ALL.

Fantastic experience: Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry of Cookeville is the place to bring your children. Gentle with the littlest to the oldest patients. They are sure to answer any questions you may have about present and future dental issues.

Positive experience: Everyone very nice, it was a very clean place, love the tvs on the ceiling. They were very efficient and got the kids in and out in a timely manner. Only issue i had was I have 2 kids under 18. I made it very clear that the other child must wait in the waiting room (with my s/o) because I need to sit with her, as I need to sit with my son. As long as their under 18, im gonna be back in that room, it's my responsibility. Well they didn't listen and took my 9 year old daughter back. They were next to eachother room by room. Then I was told I had to pick a room and stay in it cause of hippa. Well if you listened and took one child back at a time we wouldn't of had this issue and second the rooms were side by side, it's not like I was walking past other patients. So otherwise besides that, which I was not happy and next time I will make it more clear to them, it was a good visit.

Fantastic experience: Everyone went above and beyond! They made my sweet girl feel extra comfortable and showed extra patience when she was very scared. The receptionist even went out and got her a stuffy to hold from her car! Wonderful staff.

Negative experience: I did not care for the staff in the back. There were two with my 8 year old Granddaughter. Neither one of them smiled the whole time. They jumped right in and started working on her mouth and never said a word to help her feel relaxed. They gave her 4 shots and then the dentist rushed in and just pulled her tooth without any interaction with her or me and I don’t think it was long enough for her to get fully numb. She jumped and started to cry and they didn’t seem to care at all. This might not seem like a big deal but she is right now forming her lifelong opinion of the dentist and take from a dental coward, this is a big deal. My own dentist is more personable and pets me like the coward that I am. I would expect a pediatric dentist’s office to go above and beyond that. I’m not sure she will be going back there. The receptionist and the check out desk were A1 and very welcoming. Can’t say the same for the back room employees.

Positive experience: I didn't go back with my son this time as I had another child with me. When we got in the van to go home, he kept messing with his teeth and I asked him if something was wrong and he told me the lady that cleaned his teeth was really rough and his gums/teeth were hurting. (He was there for a cleaning) We have never had this problem before. We have always had the greatest girls working with my boys which is why I felt like he could go back by himself. I could tell this girl wasn't in the greatest mood when she came and got him from the waiting room but everyone has bad days. He also said the piece she put in his mouth to do the x-rays was much bigger this time and that also hurt his mouth. He is very shy and will not confront situations like this on his own. He did say that he flinched quite a few times but she never even asked if he was OK or anything, she just continued being rough. This is the first "bad experience" we have had here so I am hopeful it will improve.

Fantastic experience: Of the 5-6 dentists my child has seen, these people have the kindest front desk employees, the kindest dental assistants, and the kindest dentists. They genuinely care about their patients and they are helping me when I could not find help elsewhere. I will recommend them to everyone I come across

She didn't act rushed or irritated like the dentist we saw before coming here. So that is very appreciated! We will definitely be taking both our kids to Cumberland pediatric from now on!

Fantastic experience: We came from cavity commandos being told my son would basically need caps on all of his teeth to Cumberland pediatric and I am so so happy with that decision and the service we received!! His teeth were doing just fine and new teeth were growing in great. Tina was my son’s assistant and she was amazing with him! He is autistic and was very interested in everything and she was very sweet and explained everything to him and let him look and check everything out. She also did amazing keeping me informed on everything they were doing and explaining it all to me as well! We were very happy with our visit!

Fantastic experience: I had been to another clinic with my child and was made to feel like a bad parent. The cost astronomical. Came to Cumberland pediatric dentistry and felt like family. Treatments were explained, my child was given education on how to take care of her teeth and the cost was about 700 dollars less than the other place. They were all wonderful.

Fantastic experience: My son is autistic and I took him here after having a severely bad experience at another dental clinic. Very very kind staff, patient doctor and hygienist, they worked us in after a problem, and were quick and kind and very good with my son.

Fantastic experience: absolutely amazing ladies there! one volunteer to sit with my son so i could run to get diapers since we ran off in a hurry from the house and forgot his (he had just took sedation and couldn't leave the office) i couldn't ask for better people to help with my kiddos teeth and emergencies like this!

Positive experience: Their back room dentistry staff was amazing, as always. My problem was with their automated system. I didn’t confirm or cancel the appointment because I received NO phone calls, texts, voicemail or emails from them to do so. There is usually a bunch of reminders over a week or so. I rechecked all spam folders, blocked?, silenced? and nada. The front desk cancelled my son’s appointment. When trying to explain the problem upon arrival which I blamed on a computer malfunction, at that time, the front desk staff became overly defensive and hostile. I have never missed or been late for an appointment. I have reevaluated the sketchy behavior and I will not deal with this again.

Negative experience: Normally have a great experience, was not the case today. I was told to show up at 8:45 only to be told my child's appointment was not until 9am. She still wasn't seen for over 30+ minutes from when we were asked to be there. I was given the same form to fill out by two different people. My child was given medication for sedation and put back in the waiting room, then expected to walk on her own an hour after the medication. She could barely hold her head up, and I was told I couldn't carry her. The nurse did end up carrying her, but only because she wouldn't let me. Very frustrating from start to finish. Was there for close to 2 hours for a fifteen minute procedure. The area for patients waiting under sedation is very small and subject to all the noise and people in the waiting room, not ideal.

Fantastic experience: Amanda helped so much! She immediately got us in, and helped with my daughter after she fell and hurt her mouth! They were all friendly and helpful!

Fantastic experience: My daughter is receiving great care for her braces. We are very happy with this dentist/orthodontist.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was excited to go to the teeth doctor! The cleaning was at 8 and we were getting celebration breakfast by 8:25 across town. She has been going there since she was tiny and despite the work she had done, she is still very excited to go to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: Very professional, kind, understanding and all around welcoming. Making them my daughters dentist for now on. They express patience with my little girl, where she is a high functioning Autistic, and did amazing.

Fantastic experience: Second visit for my 3 and half year old shy boy. Amelia was awesome again, she was patient and able to get him to open up and let her brush his teeth. As soon as we got in the car he asked if we could come back tomorrow lol. It’s a great office with patient and friendly staff.

Positive experience: The place is hit or miss. The receptionist with the short red hair is a sweetheart but the rest of them usually have an attitude. There’s a woman who is unnecessarily loud who is often near the front desk yelling so loudly you can’t hear what the receptionist is saying. The actual dentists/orthodontist are wonderful and we love Tina for cleanings but some of the other people are really rude. My daughter has been seeing Kyra for her first orthodontist appointments and she’s not the friendliest. All in all it totally depends on the day, unfortunately. Also don’t forget to confirm every single appointment more than 2 business days prior or they’ll delete your appointment and turn you away.

Fantastic experience: At least I have my girls in an office with respect towards the patient and the family and kid friendly environment

Negative experience: First time my son trying to getting work done without seditation. Wish they would have taken more time to help him ease into it vs going straight for seditation.

Fantastic experience: Couldn't ask for nicer people everyone I mean everyone was so very nice. I highly recommend Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry they put me at ease but more important they put my 3 year old at ease and treated her with kindness and respect. Thank you Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry, Update took my now 4 year old for a cleaning Again I have to say the people here are the nicest people anywhere they treated my daughter like a princess. If you need to take your child to the dentist I highly recommend you ho here.

Fantastic experience: I'm not sure if I'm updating or never posted th original but my son is almost 6 now and we had another appt today. In and out faster than you can have lunch. They're always so great with him I leave happy and feeling relieved. 10 out of 10 recommend this place They did wonderful with my nonverbal autistic 4 yr old. It went better than I expected. They went out of their way to make us both feel better through it all. Very grateful for the staff here.

Fantastic experience: First dentist visit for my daughter (2.5yearsold). Everyone was so very nice. We had an insurance issue at first, but the front staff helped me quickly resolve the issue. So helpful and kind. The hygienist was great with my daughter. The doctor was amazing and quick. I think my daughter got a quick bite on his finger. She was not a fan of the dentist experience but she loved her prize toy at the end. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My Son said he wants to continue to visit here even as an adult and will be asking for Miss Tina Xander has Autism and one of the umbrella disorders is Sensory Processing and Though Brushing his teeth has NEVER been an easy chore for us , he had Zero cavities and hasn't had any in EIGHT Years❣️ . We've been seeing Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry for a couple of years, now, since my ,Son , Xander has Autism O.D.D.ADHD, SPD Related SensitivitieS which can be EXTREME choking gagging, tickle, and /or pain . These people are AMAZING WITH THE CHILDREN VERY Patient Calm, Caring and so Sweet to us Both. we have visited other Dentists who claim to be experienced with working with children with Special Needs but in fact they were very insensitive to his fears, my concerns and one Dentistry had such a time with getting him use to visits that they had us come every THREE MONTHS, which would have been fantastic had they ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY BRUSHED HIS TEETH.... instead of simply going through the motions quickly to get us out of their way.... And still charged insurance for sensory visits. --Visit 2023 UPDATE: Xander was very happy to see Miss Tina again. He was having a difficult time that day but with everyone''s patience at Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry we got through the appointment Okay... they even moved us to a different room so he could be more calm. Though he did have ONE Cavity, the rest of Xander's teeth looked really good and he is doing well with brushing his OWN teeth, now.--Visit 2024, December I will recommend this Dentistry to any child and especially those who have Special Needs

Negative experience: My child doesn't do well at the dentist office and the woman who cleaned her teeth and tried to xray was a no bull type of woman and very unsympathetic. Did not try to ease my 5 year olds worries or fears simply told her that no wasn't an option. I ended up having to hold my 5 year old down for her to clean her teeth. Will not be back for follow up treatment

Negative experience: Highly unsatisfied. We came based off recommendation and loved the fact that the office was for dental and ortho. First visit was great, staff was kind and caring. Had a set plan which worked well for us. The next two visit were awful because of the front desk staff. Our ortho appointment was removed from their system even though we confirm through text message twice and talked to a staff member when they called for confirmation. Also had the paperwork filled out. They will remove your appointment if you don’t confirm the appointment. They were able to squeeze us in so We decided to give it another shot. Again, for dental the same thing happened. Front desk staff had no issues saying a Casey dropped the ball, how they are no Casey and talking crap about each other in front of patients. Absolutely unprofessional. I will not be recommending this place to anyone or coming back.

Fantastic experience: We decided to switch our dentist to this dentist- i am GRATEFUL they are wonderful, caring and really listening to our concerns. Now my baby girl gets to get all of her issues fixed up that she has waited for!! Thank you for opening your arms and have all finger wrapped up❤️ We feel such comfortable about this. Thank you!!!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful! Took my nine year old here. After two terrible experiences before with what was suppose to be Pediatric Dentists; we found one that truly was one! Don't waste your money stopping at the quick stop and shops! Go here to the ones that can get to the root of the problem. They don't just want to cap or pull every tooth because you have insurance. Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry really care about your teeth.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate the ppl here. One of my kids goes here and she has just showed me what I think is an abscess on her gum and I called the office afterhours and left a message for the DR on call. I then received a text asking to send a pic so they could better access the situation..after a few quick texts and brief conversation it was decided it could be an ulcer or an abscess but ultimately they would fit my daughter in for an emergency visit at 8am the following morning just to make sure she is ok. I really appreciated the kindness of the after hours lady I spoke with and the fact they understood my concern and were willing to so speedily see my daughter. Thank you guys for what u do.

Positive experience: Very nice people who take their time to explain everything clearly. I will continue to go there but the reason why I won’t give 5 stars is because you are not allowed to go back with your child while they get work done on their teeth. I can understand the reasoning but I hated being away from my baby and they told me I couldn’t even stand outside of the room. That was the first time he was scared and I couldn’t be there for him. They tried to reassure me but I was extremely uncomfortable being separated like that. However I really appreciate everything else, I would recommend them if separation does not bother you, if it does just keep that in mind.

Fantastic experience: Awesome, Tina took us back and listen Tony concerns about my kiddo. Brushed his teeth with care. He is an infant and she was wonderful with him. The dentist came and she listened and throughly explained what was going on. Everyone was super sweet and friendly!!!

Fantastic experience: Since we didn't want to go to the surgery center to fix my son's teeth. They gave us another treatment plan here. I can stay with my son this time during the treatment. The dentist and assistant are very nice and patient. My son's tooth has been filled successfully. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place for my children, definitely a happy family child friendly place to take your child to a dentist. Everyone is kind and so patient with children. I have a daughter who is autistic, and can’t stand seeing anything sharp near her face due to getting stitches recently as well. The doctor is so patient with her and so kind as well. They took her in for a follow up appointment after her oral surgery as soon as I asked it was the next morning. Definitely a place I would recommend taking any child to :)…. Oh and I can’t forget the lady’s in the back :) always make it fun and so kind, as well as the people in the front and the nice lady that checked up on if we had to pay anything ❤️❤️❤️ if I could I’d give them more than 5 stars ⭐️

Positive experience: Great overall. There was one really rude and angry hygienist that was making everyone uncomfortable and wanting to leave but aside from her, the rest of the staff were all wonderful and our child had a great experience! Thankfully, our child did not have to deal directly with the angry hygienist lady.

We got a referral to Cumberland pediatrics, they were wonderful explained to her in detail what they were doing and why. They talked to her in ways she could understand and made her feel comfortable with everything.

Everyone was so friendly, very professional, took the time to answer my questions, and were a joy during the 90 minutes I was there. A great friendly experience, so great in fact, I signed up today for Invisalign and I look forward to my treatments. Highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I had some very negative interactions with a dental assistant and office staff. My daughter was very anxious about a procedure. They were not understanding or kind, and I wish I hadn't trusted them with my daughter's care.
