Children's Dentistry at Stonecrest

Fantastic experience: Greetings! My son has been going to the children dentistry since the beginning. When they move to the new location, we have always seen Tee. She is one of the reps at the front desk, she's sweet, polite and has excellence customer services. I give her these 5 stars because she knows what customer services is. Keep up the great work. I can see future office manager in her future.

Fantastic experience: We’ve had a wonderful experience at Children’s Dental Zone! They have taken such good care of my kids from the most basic cleaning all the way to the more nuanced procedures. The kids actually look forward to going!

Fantastic experience: We had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Smith Fantasia and the rest of the team! My 4-year-old needed a cavity treated, and I was nervous about how she would handle it. The staff was incredibly patient, gentle, and reassuring they explained everything in kid-friendly terms and made her feel comfortable the entire time. Dr. Smith and Fantasia was so kind and caring, and it was clear they really know how to work with little ones. My daughter left smiling and even said she liked the dentist as always! I’m so grateful for the care we received and highly recommend this office for pediatric dental needs.

Negative experience: This dentist is horrible!! The staff is full of young kids that don't know what they're doing, full of attitude and very unprofessional I will never bring my kids back here again!!! They deserve no stars!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ibrahim and her assistant Makayla were absolutely amazing! I originally made an appointment requesting a filling for my daughter, who had just had an exam done at another dental office that I was not happy with. Dr. Ibrahim kindly made an exception and went ahead with the filling using the X-rays from the previous dentist, even though they typically prefer to do a thorough X-ray and exam first. I was so pleased and grateful that she was willing to work with us. Their professionalism and compassion made all the difference! They were fast, efficient and painless. I think we have finally found her dental home. My daughter also said she loves their equipment and feels like the filling is a better substance than the previous ones

Fantastic experience: Dr. IBRAHIM, FANTASIA & JACKIE were a dream team from heaven. They worked with calming my daughter and her fear. They were professional and courteous and I appreciate the service of children's dentistry for the last 10years. The front desk staff is great with following up. I love children's dentistry.

Fantastic experience: The staff here has always been great from the front staff that checks you in you in to the provider and assistants. Today we had Fantasia as the assistant and Dr. Ibrahim doing my daughter's filling.

Negative experience: My youngest son had the worst experience! They don’t allow parents in back procedure was taking a while went to back he was in pain with tears in his eyes while they stated they were going to keep trying! I pulled him and haven’t been back! Took a while for son to be comfortable to go back to a dentist

Negative experience: This location has very slow service be prepared to sit in the waiting room 1-2 hours even with an appt my personal opinion is they over book appts and think people okay with waiting not knowing people have stuff to do besides that the doctors are good at what they do and work well with the kids

Fantastic experience: This is an amazing Dentist office for children. They are so patient and take great care of the kids. Mrs. Fantasia and Dr. Smith did amazing taking care of my daughters cavity. I will always come back here and highly recommend them to others.

Negative experience: My children have been going to this dentist since my oldest was 4. He’s 7 now. I started at the old location and they were a whole lot better. I came in two weeks ago with my children for a cleaning. The receptionist said the appointment was cancelled. All because they had my phone number and address incorrect. My children have an appointment which is supposed to be tomorrow. But I called to ensure that my appointment was still available. Of course it’s cancelled. They want me to reschedule but inconsiderate to the fact that I have to take of work each time. I also called and left messages which were never returned. I’m just going to go somewhere else that can get it right!

Fantastic experience: We've been coming to Children's Dentistry at Stonecrest since my daughter was 4. She is now 7. Every appointment has been good. Today was her first filling procedure outside of a regular cleaning. We were both scared but Fantasia and Dr. Anderson walked us through the whole process. They were gentle with her and very patient with all of my questions. No tears or tantrums. She was comfortable. I was too. Thank you ladies.

Negative experience: The wait time is ridiculously long and no one will tell you that ahead of time so you can mentally prepare yourself. Sat after seeing the hygienist for 45mins after asking how much longer? l was told it would be another 10 mins, tooo long. For a routine cleaning.

Negative experience: I took both my kids to their first appointment at this location with my husband only because we know how our kids are especially with our autistic child. They waited until the dentist assistant called the kids to the back to tell us only one parent was allowed in the back with the kids. This was the most disappointing experience ever!!!

Fantastic experience: My son had appointment on December 11,2024 for sealants and extraction @8 :00 the staff got him very quickly. Fantasia and Dr.Ibrahim were great! They had great bedside manners, they made my son feel very comfortable. I appreciate that so much.

Negative experience: Very long wait times; staff is friendly mostly, and the doctor is 5 stars, but staff could use some professional development around consent and communication with kid patients. I’m either 1 or 5 stars. I hope to update this review in the future.

Fantastic experience: My son was treated so well today, they were very patient with him and made him feel comfortable enough to get his procedure done. His dental assistant fantasia was wonderful, she made sure he was okay every step of the way, very nice and soft spoken. I spoke with his dentist Dr. Anderson and she made sure that I understood everything that was going to happen before she got started with him. She was also very soft spoken and made him feel comfortable. They were both great.

Fantastic experience: The attention to detail was impeccable, they were friendly and well versed in their profession. The dentist and dental assistant preformed enthusiastically. I'm impressed. Fantastic experience: I love children’s dentistry of stonecrest. I came here for my 17 year old to get fill ins and Fantasia was AMAZING. We talked about Christmas and she interacted with us very well. Dr Mercedes came in (her locs are gorgeous), greeted us, and got right to it. They both made sure my baby was comfortable and taken very good care of and the shower great team work.

Negative experience: My baby has been going here for years but since they moved to the new office the service has been borderline trash. I called the office for over a week because I have new insurance. They called me back the following week to be of no assistance. You have to cancel an appointment with 48 hour notice but you can’t reach anyone on the phone. The last appointment we waited almost 2 hours because they were overbooked and understaffed. The young lady on the phone just couldn’t understand my frustration but my baby won’t be back. I gotta find somewhere that’s doing better business. It’s sad because the service used to be top tier from the office staff all the way up.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my children here since the first location by Stonecrest Mall with Dr. Windham, even though it has definitely expanded the staff are still friendly, today’s visit is with Fantasia and Dr Mercedez.

Negative experience: It doesn’t matter if this place change locations it’s still by far the most unprofessional place ever. 10/30/2024 my daughter had her appointment at1pm. She was mistaken twice by two other patients and was called back twice to be told they had the wrong patient. We sat there later to be called to be told that the Denist Mercedez was scared to do my daughter root canal at the last minute. They gave me a referral to a place they didn’t take her insurance so now I’m back to square one trying to find a real Denist I will never take my kids back to this denist

Negative experience: My son had a 9AM Appt. We arrived at 8:40 to check in. I approached the from desk at 9:55 and asked how much longer I would be waiting. The front desk lady stated “ma’am we are still on the 8 o’clocks, we will call you when it’s time”. My son was not called back until 10:35!!!! We then had to wait longer after being called back due to the assistants all sharing ONE portable XRAY machine. The assistant stated “we all have to share the machine right now that’s what is taking so long”.. It was a very cramped uncomfortable waiting room. NO CHILDRENS TOYS/ NO PRIZES AFTER PROCEDURE ??? Very unsettling experience for a children’s office …. Definitely will not return :(

Negative experience: Took my grandkids to their 1st dentist appointment. The techs were fairly pleasant, however because of the dentist we will not be returning. She did not introduce herself, didn't explain the issues with my grandson, just overall not a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Anderson and Shaniya are the best!!!!! My kids have been going here since they were old enough to go to the dentist. Very professional and they make the kids comfortable. Although I have moved a ways away I still bring my kids.

Fantastic experience: Update** Office manager is awesome . Spoke with her and the situation was handled came back for another visit today and was in and out with no problem. I am very grateful for the office manager and staff. Front desk ladies are very sweet.

Negative experience: Always late !! Every time we come it's 45 minutes plus !! Today we waited for over an hour before being seen for 10 minutes. The front desk ladies are nice but the fact that they are never on time is a major frustration . Thinking about switching dentists it's so bad.

My 4 year old had to get a fill-in and a cap put on his back tooth and I thought it was going to be the worst experience ever. It turned out perfect! They made him feel super comfortable and provided an excellent service. I highly recommend this dentist to any parent in the Stonecrest area.

Negative experience: The facility is okay. The staff is great. The new dentist Mercedes Agyemfra is awful. We had the worst experience and we’ve been attending this facility for over two years. I sure hope they find their footing and get adequate help with finding a better dentist to replace Dr. W. All the best to them and you and your family if you choose them.

Fantastic experience: I started going to this office back in 2017 when they were only doing adults, fast forward after Covid they started seeing only kids I was so heartbroken because Family dentistry was amazing to me. Today I took my princess in for a long awaited cavity that needed to be done, unfortunately I took her to another dentist to fill this same cavity and the work was horrible so I had to bring her back to her home office, today Dr. Smith filled my babies cavity so seamless omgoodness she literally filled it within ten minutes my baby was terrified because of past experience, But Dr. Smith made my baby feel so so comfortable!! I’m so grateful that she’s here in the Stonecrest area!! Now let me tell you about Ms Fantasia the dental assistant , she was freaking amazing, so kind, customer service outstanding, she talk to my baby to calm her down and was so gentle in speech, today was a good day !!! Thank you ladies !!!

Negative experience: Waited an hour and 15 minutes & my child was not seen. They claimed to be verifying insurance. My fiancé was able to call & verify all the coverage within 10 minutes. Front office staff needs improvement.

Fantastic experience: The staff has changed! Today, I felt like they were more engaging and knowledgeable. Brittany was very conversational, which made me feel relax. I love that she is outspoken and have great energy. Dr. Mercedez was very knowledgeable, tenative, and patience. They explained every step and I felt comfortable.

Fantastic experience: My daughter a minor tooth chip, I called to set an appointment thinking I would be for a later day. To my surprise, they were able to see us today. In just a few hours. They were right on time. Fantasia was an absolute joy. She walked us through the process easily. Dr. Anderson was able to fit us in to get the filling done today so I'm more than happy with their professionalism and willingness to help. A++++

Negative experience: Maybe we came on a bad day, but this was not a good experience. The front office is young people scrolling Walmart, running to the back for answers from Oz, or loudly sharing the # of cavities of the children! A young man came up from the back with a sense of urgency, which was the highlight of our waiting. I appreciated Dentist Ware, who was quite knowledgeable, willing to answer questions, and we never felt rushed. To sum up our overall experience: Frustration! Not certain we'll be returning.

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience at Children’s Dentistry at Stonecrest. Despite having a scheduled appointment, my kids and I had to wait hours before being seen. The waiting room is extremely small with very limited seating, making the long wait even more uncomfortable. The front desk staff appeared to have no idea why it takes an average of 90 minutes to be seen. It seems like they consistently overbook clients, leading to these unacceptable delays. I do not recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I took my boys in for the first time and it was a wonderful experience...Especially with my youngest who has autisum... The staff was patient and understanding....I was a little worried because they got called back while I was still doing paperwork...But when I went to the back my little one was allowing them to take xrays which is usually like pulling adult teeth but he allowed the pictures to be taken without my assistance at all as well with the cleaning...Im very pleased with with the level of service here...

Fantastic experience: Service was great as usual, although the lobby was packed they were able to move people in and out quickly. Customer Service was also really good by everyone we encountered.

Positive experience: ***Updated 2/28/24 3:47pm*** This company has the stupidest system for confirming appointments. It's an automatic system that my daughter confirmed her appointment through but then they also call. If you miss the call, then they cancel the appointment and if you've already confirmed through the automatic system they don't alert you that the appointment has been cancelled. So on today I drove 40 minutes to an appointment for them to tell me she doesn't have an appointment because she didn't verbally confirm, although the front desk is looking at the physical proof that shows we confirmed the appointment. I'm so irritated and frustrated. I'm healing from a sickness and would have gladly rescheduled if I was informed that the appointment was cancelled!!!! And the front desk clerk, although she stayed professional, had the most unconcerned disposition and attitude I've ever encountered. -------------------------------------------------------- *Update: I was called to the back and had the opportunity to speak with the HR Manager Lametrick. He apologized to me for the inconvenience from the flaw in the system and showed real concern for my recent illness. Although we had to wait, he made sure my daughter was seen. I've worked customer service for over 25 years and this was what I'd consider top tier customer retention looks like. When it comes to righting a wrong, this is what it should look like. I'm very pleased with the outcome and appreciate the staff as a whole.

Fantastic experience: After 2 horrible dentists we came here. I LOVE this place. All the staff is awesome, it's super clean, entertaining for kids, the parents can accompany their kids and speak to the dentist, they have state of the art technology and a smooth check in process. The wait times were minimal. The whole process was thorough but took about 1 hour to get 2 kids seen. Highly recommen.

Negative experience: Edit: The staff and doctors are great! They are all really so good with kids and good at their jobs! Fantasia and Dr. Were thank you! you're awesome! I was disappointed with my last couple of visits. My son got caps on his baby teeth he is 11. His ortho said they should have just took them out because they were his baby teeth especially because his teeth are so crowded that some cannot come in until 6 teeth are pulled now so I wasted money and time getting his teeth capped just for him to get an infection with abscess around the capped teeth for them to have to pull it out anyways.

Fantastic experience: Fantasia, Shauna and Dr. Were were very amazing! They made my son very comfortable and he had to get 2 crowns, so I was a little nervous about how he would do! They were so patient with him. You could really tell this was a passion and not just a job they were doing! Thank you so much ladies!!!!

Fantastic experience: Hanniyah and Keke always great my kids and I with a smile and make sure we get checked right away. They address all questions and confirm your next appointment to some. These ladies are the reason I drive here because they make my children feel comfortable and not just another appointment. The office is clean and kid friendly and take precautions to make sure kides are safe and healthy.

Negative experience: The front desk staff attitudes are horrible! They are rude and both of my daughters who are patients there asked can we find another dentist because of how they were treated at this most recent appointment. If my children don’t feel comfortable it is an automatic NO! If you are supposed to specialize in pediatric dentistry then make sure your staff know how to deal with children, teen, etc…I am so disappointed in this place and ever since they moved into this new building the staff has gotten worse. Bedside manner is everything when dealing with patients and they lack it! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE TO BE TALKED ABOUT LIKE THEY ARE ADULTS!

Fantastic experience: My baby really connected well with the Dentist Dr. smith also each assistant that was in the office, took time to hear me and connect well with me but especially my daughter she’s only eight so she was scared. However, they made her feel comfortable. Her experience overall was awesome even though she had to have a tooth pulled they could have pushed her off and given a later date for her treatment because she was a new patient However, the doctor did not hesitate to give my baby, the treatment that she definitely needed also individuals stuck out in the staff that I noticed went above and beyond. Were Yonlanda Brittany and Hanniyah They were extremely professional and helpful with assisting my daughter to get her needs taken care If I could them 10 stars ⭐️ I definitely felt like this was a safe calm environment for my child not to mention, they move quickly we weren’t there for a very long time. They also got the opportunity to clean her teeth before they did the other treatment.

Negative experience: Don’t take your kids here. RUN RUN RUN!!! 3xs THIS YEAR they have called the DAY OF to cancel my daughter appointment. The day she was finally able to be seen, they had the WRONG procedure scheduled for her causing us to RESCHEDULE AGAIN only to be called the morning of the NEW appointment and told that we have to cancel AGAIN and they had nothing until 6wks out!!! TF !!!! Very inconvenient, very inconsiderate, and VERY unprofessional DON’T TAKE YOUR KIDS

They were running a little behind and she went over and beyond to make sure that my daughter who is on the autism spectrum was entertained and distracted during the wait! The staff is always very patient, kind and understanding to my daughter needs!

Fantastic experience: This was my sons first time at this dental office and I was grateful for the care, attentiveness, and patience they showed my son. My visit was with Des, Tiffany, my and Dr. Smith and again they are were absolutely amazing and I am comfortable to say that we are glad this will me our new dental home!!

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Smith and Fantasia over the course of the last two weeks. They worked on my daughters and showed extreme patience and professionalism. I enjoyed witnessing Fantasia train a new employee last week. She is extremely knowledgeable and efficient! I was impressed with Fantasia’s skill set! While assisting Dr. Smith, Fantasia consoled my daughter, kept her calm, and encouraged her throughout the entire process! Dr. Smith was nothing short of amazing! She spoke words of affirmation to my daughters as she performed their fillings. I would like to note it was the first time for one of my girls. The way she explains the process in the terms of a child is awesome! They are a dynamic duo and I’m thankful we got to experience their expertise! They gave off a familial aura which made the process easy! I definitely recommend you request both of these amazing souls if you ever have to bring your babies to this office!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Smith and assistant Brittany were very friendly, caring, professional. All 5 of my kids have been coming here a while now. They always try to make our visits smooth going and try to accommodate as much as they can with appointments! I feel very welcomed when we come in. I wouldn’t choose any other dentist for my kids! Positive experience: While I absolutely love this office, my appointment was scheduled for 3 pm and we were not called to see the only dentist in the building until after 4. My people Hanniyah and Keke and all of them were pleasant and professional. Call in BACK UP, especially during this back-to-school season!
