Fantastic experience: Weis Dental in Virginia Beach is so dear to all 5 of my children and me. For over 3 years, we have traveled to VA Beach to make sure my children receive the best dental care. Every aspect is a positive experience. The entire team is always friendly and polite, not to mention welcoming, especially for my children, some are very afraid, but the outcomes are always the best. From cleanings to treatments. Positive reinforcement is always used to make them all feel comfortable. It is very kid-friendly, colorful, and they always have something entertaining on TV. Fantastic experience: This was my first visit initial visit to Weis Dental on High street in portsmouth. The visit was actually for my six year old son. Although we were late, the staff was very friendly and understanding. Rebecca was a rockstar! She calmed my sons anxiety about the visit and she was very attentive and personable with all of my children. I am so glad I was referred by my family member! I cant wait for my daughters appointment in November! Thank you Weis Dental!

Fantastic experience: I came for first time looking for an emergency dental appointment, and from the very first moment, the experience was amazing. I was greeted by Cynthia, who is truly the sweetest person, very empathetic, friendly, always smiling, and radiating peace and calm. Carmen, the other receptionist, was just as wonderful, and you can feel the genuine teamwork and kindness between them. To top it off, Alexia treated my daughter wonderfully. I absolutely loved this team you can truly feel the care and warmth from the moment you walk in.

Fantastic experience: Our first time here and it was phenomenal! They provided the best care for my autistic Granddaughter. Everything was explained to me from the dental hygienist to the Dentist. They answer all my questions and made us feel at home. Comfortable atmosphere. Friendly staff. Attentive Dentist (Dr. Murphy). This is our forever dentistry. Update (8-7-25): This place is STILL out forever dentistry! Hands down they are the BEST! Our Granddaughter is doing much better with cooperating with the dental process. The Weis team rocks!

Fantastic experience: My kids have been patients at Weis for years, along with my younger siblings years before them. The front desk team is the first and last people you see, and they always greet you with smiles and positivity. Big shoutout to Becca, one of the dental assistants. While the team has always done a great job at giving the kids helpful feedback, Becca really went above and beyond and was patient getting into more detail pointing out to my kids what they needed to pay more attention to. Especially with my son with braces. She pin pointed the exact spots to work on, not just a general area. He was absolutely GLOWING when she told him he was doing a great job. These kids love to hear things like that along with what to improve on when it’s not coming from their parents (y’all know they don’t listen to us!). When I was a kid, nobody took the time to tell me what I needed to be doing better, just a cleaning and “see you in 6 months”. Thank you Becca for your kindness, thoroughness, and gentle constructive criticism! And thank you to the entire Weis Dentistry family, I’ll be sad when my kids are grown because the entire staff is just phenomenal!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at Weis Dental for my 1-year-old’s first dental visit! The staff was warm, patient, and so good with little ones. The hygienist and dentist made the appointment quick, gentle, and stress-free. The office is clean and kid-friendly. I’m so grateful for such a positive first visit and highly recommend them!

Positive experience: Everyone was very pleasant at the front desk! My Daugther went in this morning for a cleaning after removing her braces in March. The dentist that currently working in this location isn’t so pleasant; she really doesn’t seem like a people’s person. After years of my twins being patients at this particular location, I’ve decided to relocate them to a different home office. I do wish everyone well and just would give the advice of the dentist being more friendly with EVERY client; not just certain clients!

Fantastic experience: They took their time with my son and explain everything to him. It was his first visit to the dentist and they went above and beyond to make sure that he was comfortable. I highly recommend that if you have a child with a disability, this is the dentist for them

Fantastic experience: As a momma of 3 kids, and son with down syndrome, things can be quite tough. This office and staff has been a godsend!!! I quite literally look forward to going, because of the friendliest smile and love from the second we walk in. Not only do they know us, we are part of the Weis family! They are always (year after year) on time with the scheduled appointments, if not doing better!!! Last week, there were 3 amazing techs cleaning all 3 kids at the same time!! I joked i should have 1 more kid to fill the entire office because how much we adore them and how easy they make it! They're compassion for excellence and your child's comfortability are top tier! Also, they call often to offer sooner appointments if you were to be on a wait-list, or happened to have an upcoming appointment. Amazing! As a woman that grew up poor and not receiving regular dental care, along with having anxiety and everything else.... The Weis dental family on W High Street in Portsmouth... has been a true safety net for myself and my children, and has made us feel CONFIDENT with our dental care. 10/10, you'll love them and your children will have a solid foundation of a team they can trust! Fantastic experience: My daughter has been going to Weis since she was 5. She had another routine appointment this morning and as always the front desk staff are amazing! The dental hygienists are just as awesome when they greet my daughter! They are always so courteous and professional. I wish I could be a patient here!

Fantastic experience: My twin boys, now 7 and a half, have been coming to Weis Dental's Virginia Beach location since they were 2 years old. The hygienists and doctors have always been wonderful with them both during cleanings and X-rays, and they love getting to pick something out of the machine after their appt. When we had some headaches with insurance billing, Lydia in the billing department was fantastic at helping us sort through the issues and advocating for our claim to be covered. My three year old was terrified at her last appointment, wouldn’t even open her mouth. Switched her to the Portsmouth location and between all staff, atmosphere, and the AMAZING Dental Hygienist, you would have never known she was even afraid before walking into the building. Fantastic experience: My daughters love this place! My youngest has a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist and they always do their best to comfort her. Chloe today was phenomenal at comforting her and going out of her way to find a fluoride that she would like because she hates it. While I’m sitting with my youngest I hear dental assistant Taylor and my oldest cracking up laughing. They really do go out of their way to make this as fun as possible. Not to mention Dr. Kaylin is amazing! No cavities for us!

Fantastic experience: I had to reschedule, set new appointment for September, but they had me on the list for call back if earlier one became available. They called and got us in only a few days after the original appointment. Today, I almost forgot the appointment, was late, and they still got us in. Becca was awesome with my son, answered all his and my questions, and was great with him.

Fantastic experience: Alexis was super patient with my daughter as she was scared of the water. She showed her the tools and let her hold them so she was calm and ok. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My niece and nephew have been going to this practice for nearly ten years. I was so excited when they told me who their dentist was… Dr. Murthy! I have known her since we were kids. N & N love her and her practice; they look forward to going to her office because of the environment Dr. Murthy and her colleagues have created. My sister and I know that they are in kind, capable hands. If I lived closer (we are out of state), I would absolutely bring my daughter to Dr. Murthy!

Fantastic experience: We had to bring our daughter in for a tooth extraction and the staff at Weis Dental were so caring and helpful! They help get my daughter in the right mindset and even played some of her favorite music while the procedure was being performed. Their professionalism and caring for the wellbeing of my child was amazing! Dr. Coleman, Parris, Ms.D and Alexis were top notch! I will be continuing to use them and recommending them to anyone that has littles in need of cleaning or work.

The staff, especially Lexy, is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, gentle and patient with my little one. The facility is clean and well-organized. It’s a great place for kids. They have a cozy waiting room equipped with a mini library, a small table and chairs, and even a mini movie room that my son absolutely loves. After the procedure, he gets a coin to redeem for a toy from the toy machine. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We have been coming here sence my kids very first dentist apt. So going on 7 years This establishment never disappoints walking in every one is happy and smiling the pretty lady ms.cynthia at the front desk is always so helpfull and full of positivity and just a joy to talk to along with all the other wonderfull ladies up front .. the doctors and staff in the back are always so patient and do what needs to be done and never push things that don't need to be done I give this place a 20 out 10 highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: We switched to Weis quite a few years ago when our regular dentist couldn't handle many kid dental concerns. They've been great at communication, treatment, and managing the kids. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I didn’t like that after I checked in went threw the appointment then was told I had to pay $50.00, this should have been expressed up front and then was told they don’t do billing you have to pay up front…

Fantastic experience: Very friendly everybody is always smiling. It’s never a long wait when I go on my two kids. I’m usually in and out in a decent time.

Negative experience: We've been going here for a few years! My oldest daughter can handle a lot more than my son. She had a few fillings done by her self during covid, did I like it? Absolutely not. Today My daughter and son were both suppose to be seen.. My daughter is now 11 she went back by her self to have a surface cavity filled (I asked to go back with her but they said no. I allowed it but with no laughing gas. My son is FIVE. He was needing his first treatment IN office. His Previous ones were done IN THE HOSPITAL. Today, I requested to go back with him because he was a little nervous and wanted me to be with him. I had prepared him what ti expect but ensured him I'd be there. They 100% REFUSED to allow me to stay in the room with him for what they called "a simple extraction". They said if he was struggling they would come get me... So WHY couldn't I remain in the room? There is plenty of room, I was standing in the corner completely out of the way... She said if she made an exception for me she'd have to make an exception for everyone.. ... PARENTS.... WHY CAN'T WE BE IN THE ROOM WITH OUR CHILDREN at this practice? We left immediately and got on *All kids dental* schedule who ALLOWS PARENTS IN THE ROOM. When I was a kid, My parents were in there, that's normal... Anyway, Dr. Weis You lost 3 patients today, and I'll be sure to share my experience, because this isn't normal! All Over a "Simple extraction" and Shame on Dr. Murthy for not making us feel comfortable. It is OK, to make an occasional exception and to have better bedside manner... Or Maybe something isn't right when the doors are closed??? We won't be there any longer to find out!

Fantastic experience: Natalie was great !! My 3 year old had his teeth cleaned first . When it was my 14 year olds turn my 3 year old asked if he could help. She was so sweet and asked my 14 year old if it was okay for his little brother to help. She put gloves on him and let him help suction.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist. My son is autistic and they are very understanding and caring with him. Everyone there has patience and will work with my son’s overstimulation. I am very pleased I found Weis and will recommend to my family and friends.
