Fantastic experience: My daughter had a great experience, smiled the whole time. I highly recommend for littles

Negative experience: I brought my one-and-a-half-year-old to Berry Pediatric Dentistry for a second opinion on a possible lip tie after being referred by our primary dentist. Our appointment was scheduled for 8:20 a.m. — right at opening — so there was no reason the office should have already been running behind. Despite arriving on time, we waited for over an hour and ultimately left without being seen. At one point, we were walked back to a chair, only to be told to return to the waiting room because the seat hadn’t been cleaned yet. My toddler was hungry and restless since we planned for her to eat breakfast after the appointment, expecting a quick visit first thing in the morning. As someone with a professional degree myself, I find it incredibly frustrating when offices show such a lack of respect for patients’ time. This level of disorganization and disregard—especially for families with small children—is completely unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: So happy to see Dr. Berry! It has been a long while since we actually got to see her. She was thorough and did not seem rushed despite having many patients at one time. She made my child feel more relaxed. Dr. Berry has a special heart for children and they love her!!!

Negative experience: My son has spent 10+ years visiting with this dentist. We had a cleaning with xrays two weeks ago and we're told he has 6 cavities that need filling. I went immediately to a new dentist for a second opinion and after xrays; I was informed he has 0 cavities and that some dentist treat all patients the same doing preventive procedures assuming that the patient will eventually get a cavity on a tooth that looks suspect. Some issues can be reversed with proper brushing and flossing. I am beyond disappointed with this information of being deceived. I only went to the new dentist because Berry booked the cavity appointment 5 months out and I thought waiting that long made no sense to me because cavities turn into root canals, if untreated.

Fantastic experience: Brought in my daughter for her orthodontist appointment. Elena was very glad happy with the great customer service she was given.

Positive experience: My only negative comment is there’s never any appointments available. You tell me to come back for a service but your appointments are booked.

Negative experience: This place has become slower and slower in their customer service. You should up 30 min early for an 11.30am appointment. You don’t get seen until 12.05 pm. This is not the first time either. Their services and care has differently gone down. I have been with them since my children were age 2 and now they’re 12 and I have seen the change over the years.

Positive experience: I had a pretty good experience talking my son for his first dental appointment here. They were pretty gentle and made him comfortable. One drawback was no one introduced themselves to me when they came in the room so I don’t know the names of the dentist or the dental hygienist that cleaned his teeth. They did say hello just to clarify. Maybe they thought I already knew who they were but it was my first time there. Overall they treated my son well which is what matters most to me.

Fantastic experience: This is our second time visiting Berry's Children Dental of Bowie and both times we have had an excellent experience. The staff was professional, courteous, and made my son feel at ease throughout his visit. The appointment was efficient, and we were finished in time for him to get to school without any delays. I truly appreciate the level of care and service provided.

Negative experience: Last visit after 7years of coming here. Switching to a new practice.Very disappointed to this visit!! This place not been the same since Asetti and Iyana left!! They were the most amazing hard working hygienist at Berry’s!

Fantastic experience: I didn’t mention they take such special care with ALL 4 of my kiddos. My oldest since infancy to him now being 18! I drive an hour each way just to stay with them. Worth the drive for sure.

Negative experience: When my kids first started going to this dentist a few years ago, before Covid, i was very impressed and i loved It here. But now, sadly i can’t say that i love It here anymore. It has gone downhill. Appointments are booked up far out, some of the staff is rude, if they make a mistake no apology or accountability. My daughter was left in the room for 2hrs all because someone clicked her appointment was “complete”. I already pulled one of my kids away from here, thinking about doing the same for my other daughter.

Negative experience: They take forever to schedule you for dental work more than 3 months.they dont care about your kids they just care about charging your insurance. They are rude, they take forever to call you to the back because they are talking amongs them self bad about patients. Takes you about 2.5 hours to get out just for a simple cleaning. Worst dentist office ever . Go else where. If you dont want bad experience.

Fantastic experience: Berry Dental is great with My grandson . There's a small play area for the children . They take their time so the children understand what's going to happen next and they are patient .

Negative experience: I brought my son here a while back to have a dental surgery thought everything was going as planned . Then as the time got closer for my son to have the surgery the tell me I have 4 days to come up with amount that I wasn’t aware of unfortunately I couldn’t get the money in that timeframe . So I asked for a refund for the deposit so I could potentially find another route for my son . I submitted the refund request on June 11,2025 , it’s now July 23,2025 and no one has yet to communicate with me about the refund and when I will have it back . Everytime I call I keep getting blocked and can’t get through to the business or a supervisor to get my concerns resolved . I have also filed a formal complaint with BBB about this as well . I will never use them the level of unprofessionalism I have experienced is unmatched .

Fantastic experience: Literally every single interaction was top tier. Had a double sibling appointment and as new patients! That can be brutal as a Mom but it was very comfortable and fluid! Didn’t even realize the time passed. Me to my 13 year old: ‘Do you like Dr. Berry?’ My 13 year old: “She does her job well.” I agree! Book early!

Negative experience: I use to really love this dentist until they hired an answering service. My son had an appointment two months ago and they said he had cavities. I have called FIVE times for a follow up appointment and the answering service will always say they will call me back. What happens if there is an emergency? Since when can't a dentists office take phone calls into the office? I'm one phone call away from pulling up and just speaking to someone in the office.

Fantastic experience: I called for a consultation on a frenectomy as I suspected that my daughter had a liptie. From the front staff, dental assistants and Dr. Berry, we were pleased with their professionalism, detailed explanations on how to care for my child oral health and the best part was how they made my daughter feel so at ease. Positive experience: I love Dr. Berry but the operations are horrible. Each appointment runs behind. We were scheduled for a 10:40 AM appointment, we didn’t get seen until almost 12 PM. While we were waiting, I received a text message that our appointment time has been changed from 10:40 to 11:40. As a working mom, these types of delays don’t work well for me.

Fantastic experience: The only dentist that he’s feels comfortable in warming atmosphere

Negative experience: Kayla last few visits have not been great pleasant. The last few months she has only received service from what appears to be less experienced ortho assistants resulting in uncomfortable sometimes painful service. She used to receive service from the assistant in the first chair and she never had issues. The service was thorough, fast, and painless. With the newer assistants, we chose not to leave reviews initially, thinking things would improve. However, today’s service resulted in a lip injury and swelling. The assistant trapped her lip under the wire of her braces which resulted in minor injuries.

Negative experience: At one point this was a good doctors office and all 3 of my kids were being seen, I had to pull two of them out due to them scheduling appointments months out and now taking my last out as well we have had our appointment cancelled by the office 4 times since March. This is unacceptable.

Positive experience: Staff is good, services are quick, only recieved 4 stars because I ran into an insurance issue 2 years ago and it was difficult getting in contact with someone.

Positive experience: My daughters have been a patient of Dr. Berry and have always received outstanding care. Dr. Berry is knowledgeable, attentive, and truly takes the time to listen and explain treatment options thoroughly. The medical staff is equally excellent—friendly, efficient, and compassionate, making every visit a positive experience on the clinical side. However, the billing and accounting process is a nightmare to deal with. The front desk staff can be at times very rude and unprofessional.

I highly recommend Berry’s dental for routine dental care and orthodontist. My family has been with them since my oldest was 1.5 years old. Negative experience: My son was scheduled to be seen at 9:20 am today. He was never seen. After waiting a since 9:04 I left with my son at after over an hour. Especially when I saw them take several of the 10 am appointments before him. Time is money and this was disrespectful. When I brought it to their attention, they are going to blame it on only having one hygienist. That still does explain why you are skipping appointments. I know one thing there better not be any billing issues ( meaning they better not accidentally bill me for today). New dental practice here we come!

Fantastic experience: Berry’s Children Dental saw my daughter today for an upper lip tie consult for a frenectomy. Doctor Berry for one has a BEAUTIFUL office where kids can play, very professional desk staff and assistants. She answered all of my questions and assured me the procedure is very quick. Very professional, informative, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable.

Negative experience: Berry’s Children Dental of Bowie provides quality dental services, but their inconsistency in cost transparency and poor administrative customer service make the experience disappointing. I strongly advise against seeking orthodontic treatment at Berry’s. While the treatment itself is good, the billing process is extremely frustrating. I initially paid my entire copay upfront, expecting the remaining costs to be covered by insurance. However, delays in receiving insurance payments led to harassment and pressure to make payments that were supposed to be handled by the insurance; so I started making payments on the insurance portion. In January, I was informed that my son could not schedule his next visit until the balance of $400 was paid. Shortly thereafter, the insurance finally sent the payment. Thinking I would be reimbursed from the overage, I waited for Berry’s to respond. After several unanswered phone calls and messages, I visited the office in person. Instead of receiving reimbursement and being allowed to schedule my son's next appointment, I was told that they didn’t realize my insurance didn’t pay something and not only would I not be getting reimbursed, but I also owed another $400. When I asked for a detailed breakdown of charges and payments, Berry’s provided a statement showing they owed me $875. Despite this, they claimed I owed an additional $400, with no documentation supporting their claim. This lack of clarity and communication is unacceptable. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was repeatedly brushed off. At this point, I know I will need to pay to complete my son’s treatment, as they are refusing to schedule further appointments until I pay this mysterious additional $400 without a bill or anything in writing. This experience has left me deeply disappointed in Berry’s Children Dental of Bowie, especially given that my son has been a loyal patient for over 10years. Their handling of this situation was unprofessional, and their disregard for customer service is truly disheartening.

Fantastic experience: All 6 of my kids go here, and have been pretty much their whole lives. Ages 16 to 3 and they are wonderful. Friendly staff and very observant dental care. They even take it a step further and let me schedule the 4 little ones and the 2 oldest ones for the same day. I really appreciate the love and care they give my kids. Definitely a family feeling when we are here.

I've never entered this office and not be fully aware of what my son's appointment will consist of, all my concerns and questions are always answered and acknowledged. When I leave I'm fully aware of my next appointment because it's made before I leave and I've been given a breakdown of my costs. Positive experience: Over all I love the place. However in the last 8 months of my children being patients there have been lots of new faces. Now the visits are feeling like we’re brand new when we come. Another issue is the wait times , the sign in process and the repeated information given on the forms. I get it things change daily but I’ve had multiple visits within the year for all of my children and it’s just a bit much to me. Scheduling the kids at the same time to be in two different rooms is also an issue, especially when the next child is seen at the end of the first child’s appointment. Just a few things they should consider.
