Negative experience: Dentist is wonderful, so 5 stars for her. Office manager is rude, condescending, and doesn't understand how insurance works, so deducting 4 stars for his unprofessional and petulant behavior, as well as his retaliatory action of kicking out clients who don't agree with his illegal business practices.

Fantastic experience: I Love my kids dentist & staff! I’m so glad we found her! She’s wonderful with my kids. She has so much patience and calmness with them. So does her staff (thank God) I recommend her completely!

Fantastic experience: SJPD is a very welcoming place. Both of my kids are very comfortable going here and all the employees are very kind and respectful. They have games, iPads, and Xbox’s to keep kids entertained. As a mom, one of the best qualities about this place is that they are punctual. If I make an appointment at 11, they are taking my kid back at 11 (that in itself is so hard to find!) I would highly recommend this dentist office to everyone!

Negative experience: This review is based on their office policy. They have an office policy of any child above 5 Years old needs to go into the clinical rooms by themselves without their guardians and children need to also go by themselves for any procedure. This policy is a huge RED FLAG for me and as a parent makes me very uncomfortable. It was my daughter’s first visit she is 1, they told me she needs a frenectomy procedure done, which it’s okay. What I was not okay with is the fact they said that the day of the procedure she would need to go back to get the procedure done by herself not even one of us her parents could be back in the room with her. I would NEVER allow my 1 year old to get a procedure done by herself or have her as a 5 year old going to the dentist chair by herself. I myself worked at dental offices and currently work in the dental field and I have never heard of such a weird office policy. I would think a place would want to have at least one parent present in case anything happened or went wrong, or for the child’s comfort but this place clearly doesn’t care about that since they don’t make exceptions to this policy. This is the first and last time my daughter will be going there.

Negative experience: I’ve been taking my children to this office since they were 2. It was during Covid, they were the only office that would allow you to go back with your children for the exam which was a plus for me. Throughout the years, everything has gotten progressively worse. From billing issues that they tried to push onto me to handle leaving pending balances on my account which I refuse to cover when I pay for dental insurance so that things like yearly x-rays could be covered. In this particular instance, they went ahead and took whatever pictures they wanted that were not within line of what the coverage was for the dental insurance and then wanted me to petition for it and excuse why they needed to take this x-ray instead of this x-ray. Most recently they went ahead and put sealants on my children’s molars without my consent. When I asked why they did they said that they were covered by insurance. Whether or not they were covered is not the issue meanwhile, this is while they’re telling me that running and checking to see what the insurance cover is done by courtesy from them it is not something they need to do. Conveniently enough They run and check to see if sealants are covered and go ahead and place them without my consent. With that being said, the topper performing was today after our appointment when the so-called dental hygienist who by the way was so professional (sarcasm) shout out to you, Rodrigo or whatever you name may happen, Went ahead and made the comment that he knows the finances are an issue for me, but I should really get my children to foster molar so that they don’t get any cavities. Add to that when I made dimension that they can go ahead and explain to the tennis why they will not be coming back to this office because of his so professional behavior he went ahead and let me know that the dentist does not care if they return or not. Mind you again this is not the person in charge of the billing instead a person who is in charge of supposedly cleaning my children’s teeth. Needless to say, if you’re looking for an office that does not do unnecessary procedures just to bill you treats your children with respect and courtesy and most importantly treats you with respect and courtesy. This is not the place to go after three years. I will be moving onto an office that’s much more professional. Edited to add : the response from the office is so humorous to me. This comes after they sent a text message canceling our appointment in January, which we didn’t need anyway because I don’t plan on returning. Essentially firing us from the office but saying they’re gonna take the concerns it’s in consideration. Trust me as a parent this is not the care I want for my children.

Fantastic experience: We had several urgent dental issues that needed to be addressed for our 7-year-old and I’m so glad we found this office through their great online reviews, which now I see why they’re so highly rated. They quickly identified the infection and created a treatment plan to take care of everything. Our son needed to be put under for the procedure, which made me nervous, but both the dentist and anesthesiologist were incredible. They explained everything clearly and made the entire process feel easy and stress-free for both me and my son. The treatment went smoothly and with their guidance and recommendations, we’re hopeful these problems won’t happen again. The cherry on top? The fun lobby and play area that kept the kids entertained. I would absolutely recommend this office—10/10!

Fantastic experience: Brought my daughter here after being referred from our regular dentist, snd she loves it. The office staff and drs are very friendly. She isn’t made to feel bad about the work she has to have done. Plus, she loves that the lasers make it so she hardly has to get numbed. Definitely recommend for any kids with dental anxiety or anyone just looking for a nice pediatric dental place.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my four children to this office since we moved to Vineland in 2022. I’ve never had a bad experience not once. Not only have they all been super accomodating when I needed some help, but my kids love the dentist. Who can say that? Every person on their staff is incredibly amazing in how they handle the littles. I wish they worked with adults, I’d absolutely trust them with my teeth. If you want to be surrounded by a staff that actually cares about your well being, this is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: I brought my son for his first dental appointment today. I would give the office, staff and doctor 10 stars if possible! The office was so much fun and set up really nice for toddlers. The receptionist was very friendly, kind, and attentive. After a very short wait, we went to get xrays done. My son was a little nervous at first but the two technicians/assistants gave him a moment to adjust and then everything went smoothly. We were brought back to see the doctor after that and she and the assistant were just phenomenal! It was such a great experience for his first time. Thank you to everyone there!

Negative experience: Brought my toddler here and they told me she needed a lip tie and tongue tie surgically corrected. Then also said she needed 2 cavities filled. They said she was too “combative” to do it while she was awake so she’d need to go under general anesthesia, which is done by a 3rd party company and would cost me nearly $3000 since my insurance wouldn’t cover the GA. I figured this was all necessary and trusted the doctor and team so I put down a deposit with the dentist AND anesthesiologist company to secure her “surgery date”. Something felt off, so I received a second opinion from a wonderful pediatric dentist, to which I was told she absolutely did NOT need either tongue or lip tie revisions, and they could topically treat her ONE cavity instead of doing any drilling or surgery whatsoever. When I attempted to cancel my child’s surgery over a month in advance with SJPD, the general anesthesia company would not refund my deposit. Although I did receive a refund from the actual dentist. Long story short, this place recommends unnecessary surgeries and also requires any child that cries to go under General anesthesia because they deem them “combative”. If this practice EVER recommends your child go under anesthesia for a tongue or lip tie revision, PLEASE seek a second opinion

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a dentist for my 18 month old who chipped his tooth. Not only did they get me in next day but, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They talked a very nervous mama through the processes and made sure I was comfortable about everything they were doing. 10/10 will recommend to all my moms out there!

Negative experience: I am glad I waited a few days to make this review. Initially my first impression was good. I felt that they really cared for my daughter even though we don't have insurance. I paid $150 for the initial visit and was given the break down of the cost for my daughters dental work. The bill in total was over $3600. Dr. Bristol told me at that visit that if my daughter needed further antibiotics(she saw on xray that her tooth was infected and knew she only had a couple more days of antibiotics left) for her infected tooth all I had to do was call and ask for it. I did exactly that today and also asked if she could give a drs note for the nurse at my daughters school to administer Tylenol. After speaking with Lorraine, the story changed today and Dr. Bristol would not prescribe the antibiotics nor give the drs note. The recommendation I was given was to take my daughter to the ER( and incur another very expensive hospital bill and tie up the ER for someone that has a toothache). I can only assume that if i would have come in today and paid the $3600 for the procedures that were recommended, that my daughter would have received the script and drs note.

Fantastic experience: I came here for my newborn Isaac to get a lip and tongue tie release and let me just say the staff and doctor were sooo nice and sweet to my baby !! They were so gentle with him. From the start they were great at explaining the procedure and the after care for him! I 100% recommend this place especially if you think your baby may be tongue or lip tied! My baby healed up great and is finally latching and has had many symptoms disappear that were definitely caused by the ties! We will be coming back for when he gets older and needs regular dental care!

Fantastic experience: We have been going to this dentist for about a year now. It's been a great experience and the staff are so nice and patient with handling my toddler. My daughter like most kids and even some adults hate going to the dentist. But they are so good at handling these situations and are so sweet. There sitting area has so much fun stuff for the kids/adults to play with while waiting, not that we really have a long wait in the first place. I highly recommend any parent to check out this place to see how amazing they are.

Fantastic experience: Our family has been using this dentist office for a few years. Initially, I was nervous about letting the kids go into the back without me, but the kids have had absolutely no complaints whatsoever, and they actually love coming here. The staff is all very kind, helpful, and professional. The waiting room is very comfortable, with lots of games for the kids. Also, they give out prizes and coupons for having no cavities. I imagine our kiddos will be coming here for a long time.

Negative experience: Went to this dentist to have our child’s teeth taken care of. They didn’t tell us anything first go around but to put a covering on the molars. Which I was skeptical about. Second time we return 6 months later and now has 10 cavities and needs a lip tie to be corrected. The child would need to be sedated and how does it go from 0 to 10 that need to be fixed jn 6 months. We went for a second opinion and the child’s teeth have 0 cavities and doesn’t need to have a lip tie corrected.

Fantastic experience: After receiving less than ideal service for our son at another local pediatric dentist, we were referred to South Jersey Pediatrics Dental. Luckily for us, they did a complete exam and located issues that we were not previously made aware of and/or were overlooked. The team collaborated with us to create a comprehensive treatment plan that focused on our son's specific needs and flawlessly executed the required procedures. Throughout the process, they were empathetic, compassionate and explained each step along the way.

I visited his primary dentist office and was told he couldn’t be seen at his family dental office Even thought he was a stablished patient there and it was a dental emergency. I called South Jersey Pediatric Dental and got a same day appointment and my son was able to be treated. I am beyond pleased with the service provided by South Jersey Pediatric Dental .

By the end of her appointment she was smiling and laughing. I can't say enough great things about this office. Thank you for taking such great care of my daughter and easing her fears. Fantastic experience: My daughter has been coming here for the past two years and we have had nothing but positive experiences with the entire staff. Dr. Brendaliz Bristol Martir is exceptional! She always makes my daughter feel special and comfortable. My daughter isn’t scared to come to the dentist because of how they interact with her. The building is clean, well maintained, and of course child friendly. They have a lovely and comfortable lounge area for the adults and a game area for the kids to play. They always give her a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and when she gets x-rays, she gets to pick a special toy! Can not recommend this place enough!

Negative experience: The policy that you need to let your child be alone with the doctor at all times is against our rights as parents how many doctors are in jail today because there was no supervision and children were hurt from it. How dare you tell me that my baby can only be examined alone with you? This place has the strangest policy I’ve ever seen at a dental office.

The level of comfort and the smiles on my kids faces when they leave warms my heart. There’s no fight when it’s time to go to the dentist. The staff and Dr. Bristol are amazing. My sisters love it here so far and they're always so happy to feel so much better after each appointment!

Fantastic experience: I stumbled across this pediatric dentist after having a not so great experience somewhere else and I am so glad I did! Walking in I knew my daughter needed serious dental work and I was uneasy about going about it but the dentist and the assistants were all so non judgmental and were quick at coming up with a plan for my daughter! All of her procedures were completed in 4 weeks and she loves coming to the dentist now. I couldn’t recommend South Jersey Pediatric Dental enough!

My kids like coming to the dentist thanks to this office! My daughter did get braces, and because of the expertise of the staff, she did not have to have them on very long!

Fantastic experience: I recently visited South Jersey Pediatric Dental on Main Road in Vineland, NJ and had an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and patient, making us feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment we walked in. The doctors were polite and trustworthy, which really put us at ease. They were especially great with my son, interacting with him in such a friendly and engaging manner. For the first time ever, my 6 year old didn’t cry or need to be restrained when getting an injection, which was a huge relief for us. The office itself is spotless and has a pleasantly cozy smell, which added to our overall positive atmosphere. The play area has a lot of awesome kid friendly games to play. This had my son worry free and occupied for the time we waited. We have tried other dentists in Vineland and our experiences were nothing close to what this office gave us. I highly recommend Dr. Brendaliz Bristol-Martir at SJ Pediatric Dental to anyone in need of children’s dental care. Their professionalism and dedication to patient comfort are truly commendable. I can’t thank you enough for taking such good care of my son and helping us through each step.

Fantastic experience: They were very gentle and professional. My son had extensive dental work including frenectomy. The staff from the front desk, anesthesiologist and dentist made our family feel safe and heard. They kept us abreast throughout the entire process from scheduling up to the surgery day. Dr.Bristol-Martir has a strong faith background and with that alone there is no going wrong. I will highly recommend them to everyone!

From day one walking in to see your name on the led board to the big play area in the waiting room it eases the children’s minds and takes away the anxious fear of seeing a dentist. The staff is welcoming, surgery is laser based and painless and the kids love the energy. The no cavity wall gives the kids a reason to want to take care of their teeth to get a chance to win a prize, a free kids meal and their name added to the wall. Overall best experience for kids to go to a dentist. Definitely recommend them.

Negative experience: Parents Please Beware!! (in response to the comment back on this post- I do have the correct dental practice- my name is abbreviated on Google) I don’t typically write reviews but this one is a must. We went here for my son’s first dental appointment ever (we chose this place for convenience) and they were rude and pushy to both of us. My son was very excited but also nervous for his first exam. I had expected them to answer all of the questions he had or to even tell him step by step what they were about to do as they went through the exam since it was his first time. Instead they ignored his questions and just did the exam even though you could tell he was alittle shaky most of the exam because they wouldn’t talk to him. They also told me because he seems to grind his teeth that he has anxiety and must be stressed about something at home. They also said I was wrong for not bringing him in as an infant. I was just floored and shocked. At the end they took us into a different room and insisted we get sealants put on (not covered by insurance) and that we should decide that day. I said I needed to talk with my husband and they became very rude. They called a week later insisting again and said that I was not considering my son’s health in saying no. I told them I would be leaving the practice and they STILL call and text me to this day (a few years later) even though I’ve texted them to please stop! I also know this is very minor but it speaks to how they don’t consider kids and their lack of knowledge of how literal kids are especially since we as parents follow through on our word and have taught him this- they told him he could get two prizes, 1 for his x ray and 1 for the exam part of the visit. Of course, my son waited patiently and then asked politely at the end of the visit if there was the second prize and they very rudely said “you already got one earlier- the tooth paste and tooth brush are enough and are the second prize”. My son handled it well, he was just following up on their promise and was very confused. Just heartbreaking for his first visit and how excited he was to have a great first dental experience. They were not warm at all. I’ve not gone back since that first appointment and we’ve moved on and have had a 5 star experience of kindness and gentleness elsewhere (to include our new dentist also saying to beware of this specific practice). MOST importantly, over the years I have had many friends leave this practice due to varying issues including unnecessary surgeries that other dentists say never should have happened or asking their child to come in still even if they were sick - they would still charge them, or not allowing the parents to go back with their child- which is wildly inappropriate. I’m so thankful I was spared of this. Just please, please beware! I just wanted a safe and caring environment for my son’s first visit and proper dental care for the future. We were able to make up for my son’s first experience elsewhere and the new practice has also gained my other sons trust as well!

Fantastic experience: They took great care of my 2 year old before, during, and after his procedure. He loves going to the dentist because of them. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: we have been coming to this office for little over a year for our daughter, she has had work done and has also had wisdom teeth out which was referred out to a specialist but the office has always been awesome from making sure everything was sent to just following up and now she has braces and we now come once a month for them, they are always responsive when asked questions and genuinely nice, from the girls in the back to the dentist herself to the front office woman, honestly never had any issues or problems whatsoever, i’ve read the reviews and really feel a need to state pricing for dentist everywhere are all the same, are insurance covers bare minimum so we are usually pay as we go and they do everything to make sure it works with what she needs, so honestly i would give this office a try before going off the reviews.

Fantastic experience: My 1.5 year old son had a dental emergency today. The office squeezed him in and was able to see us. They were SO nice, extremely kid friendly and great with my baby and me! Doc was very thorough in explaining what happened and the plan moving forward. We look forward to continuing to use their expertise for our dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience here. My 4 year old had many issues with his teeth and had to go under general anesthesia to get the work done. Everyone was professional and informative and made me feel confident and secure through every step of the process.

Fantastic experience: Had such a great experience that I needed to update review. My son just had his first cleaning with this company. He had already been treated in the past for multiple cavities and a lip and tongue tie and every time I am beyond happy with the service. Dr. Brendliz makes sure your child’s teeth are 100% and then makes sure any preventative measures are taken care of. She sealed all of the rest of his molars that just came in and even though I could not pay at this visit for that service they make payment really easy with future payments. Having a dentist who will just make sure your child’s teeth are taken care of with no worry of how, when or even if it will be payed back is very comforting. Also when I told my son he had his cleaning today he was genuinely excited and happy to be going to this particular dentist and not the first one we had originally gone to. We will be coming back for the foreseeable future. (Previous review) Dr. Bristol and staff are amazing. They were fast and efficient, explained in detail everything that needed to be done and got us right in! Will be bringing my son here for the rest of his childhood dental needs!

Fantastic experience: SJ Pediatric Dental has been a great experience for both of my children. The office has a very professional and comforting atmosphere. The doctors and staff are informative and accommodating. My kids are more at ease for appointments and procedures than they ever had at previous dentists.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a major dental procedure and is 9 years old. Dr Bristol and her team treated her amazing, did a great job with her procedure and provided good feedback to me for aftercare. My kids are not afraid to come to the dentist! We highly recommend this group to all parents.

Fantastic experience: This office is a AMAZING! Their scheduling staff is great, very accommodating, and kind. The waiting area is peaceful and comfortable for both parents and children. They have video games for kids to play while waiting. My oldest went back for dental care on his own and I waited in a comfortable chair reading my book (it was so peaceful). My kid was so excited to tell me about his teeth and all the tools they used and that he watched the Mario movie as they worked on his mouth. He was also excited after his 2nd visit and he left with a prize and a smile. My kid was literally happy & running to the back when they called his name on his 3rd visit. My kid has also been caring more about his dental hygiene and eating less candy on his own since coming here. He really valued the dentists opinion. Lastly, Insurance and billing details are openly discussed and care options and payment options are also transparently discussed. We love SJ Pediatric Dental!

Fantastic experience: I’ve enjoyed my experience here for both of girls. Everyone here is phenomenal when it comes to my kids. They take there time and really educate not only the kids but me as well, when it comes to taking care of children teeth.

Fantastic experience: My son has been a patient here for years and it’s been a great experience. They are on top of making sure you don’t forget your upcoming visit. They are also thoughtful as they send my son a birthday card that made him feel special and thought of. Little things do have big impacts. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: I wish I had been able to read the negative reviews first but my husband booked the appointment and now we're stuck with them owing us $2000+. First off, they suggested all 3 of my children get lip and tongue tie removals which NO other provider said was a problem and not necessary. After reading other reviews this is something they do often as a money grab. Please be warned- see an oral specialist who actually specializes in this (Dr Bahn in Philly is amazing and said none of my kids needed this procedure done) Second, they make you pay in full up front just to schedule the appointment which is not normal for ANY medical provider. My gut said this was a red flag and I was right. They are trying to bill me MORE than what our EOB says which is illegal and the only justification I'm getting is via personal text from their billing employee with no paper trail. I have tried for a week to 3 way call them with my insurance (United Healthcare) on the line and they keep hanging up when they realize who it is. If they had nothing to hide, they would gladly take this call and explain their side. As I write this review, I am still fighting for my refund. My insurance is currently filing a grievance with them after they refused to speak with them. Their billing person is replying things like "I know insurance is confusing" under these reviews when it's really not- the patient owes what their EOB says, end of story. Don't let them gaslight you. What he doesn't know is I have a background working in health insurance and know exactly how this works. You cannot charge more than the allowed amount agreed upon between the office and United healthcare. His confusion is the fact that one EOB states our insurance covered nothing (this is because the other EOB covered it-if you have primary and secondary insurance, one of them will approve and the other will deny- but both will not pay out) A lot of shady things going on with this practice. Stay far away unless you have a few grand to lose, want to spend about 10 hours on the phone with insurance and your child is fine going back into the room alone without you.
