Grand Parkway Pediatric Dental

Fantastic experience: We drive all the way from Bellaire, Tx to see Dr. Khan and his incredible staff. (That’s a 35 min drive with no traffic people - And it’s worth it!) Dr. Khan is the definition of a capable, professional, and caring dentist. When my then 6 year old was told he needed multiple awful silver crowns, Dr. Khan was able to conservatively care for his teeth- saving them all- and did not use a single crown. He will never recommend unnecessary, aggressive treatment. If you are looking for a dental practice that you can TRUST with great, caring, competent staff, look no further. Dr. Khan still asks about my 26 year old, by name, who was his patient many years ago! We now also see Dr. Khadija (Khan) and she is also delightful!

Fantastic experience: I am a kid myself. The service was great

Negative experience: Didn’t want to leave two bad reviews because my spouse already left one. But I felt I had to only because they took the time and effort to fabricate a completely false story in response to a negative post. To actually sit there and take the time to come up with a fake story deserves another bad rating. Just learn from your mistakes. I would respect that more over creating lies to just try to save face.

Negative experience: Don’t go here. Dr. Khan is one of the worst doctors to give your business to. He spends a minute in your kids mouth and leaves before you can ask any questions. You spend more time waiting in the waiting room than you do with the doctor. There’s better doctors in the business that will actually care about your children and family.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ritwik and her staff are the best! The hygienist was gentle and friendly, and the person that did their X-rays was nice as well. Great job! We drive far just to receive the excellent care.

Fantastic experience: We love this place - Lilly has been coming here since she was a baby. They really cater to the child and make sure they are as comfortable as possible and have the best experience at the dentist office. The staff and doctors are top notch and always ask if I have any concerns. The facilty is very nice and caters to the kiddos with a cool lobby area and cool themed patient rooms. I love the big shark with braces by the check in desk. Mary is amazing and always makes sure we are well taken care of.

Negative experience: *Updated my review to one star because their reply is completely false. Their wait times for routine exams are terrible. This place is way too big for a personable experience. It feels more like walking through a very slow assembly line. Their communication is also disappointing. The times I’ve expressed concerns to the dental assistant, she notes it in the computer but never communicates it to the dentist and they don’t bother to read these notes so you have to bring it up again before they hurry on to the next patient. At our last visit, the dentist recommended some X-rays to confirm if my daughter was going to need an extraction. X-rays were done and again we waited around forever. The dentist never came back to tell me what she recommended. Instead an assistant came to send us on our way to checkout and I had to ask her about the results. She was nice, but knew nothing about our case so she struggled to answer my questions. She apologized for the wait and gave us a $10 gift card to Domino’s. The fact that they have gift cards on hand for these situations says a lot. The two stars is only because we haven’t had issues with the dental procedures and the hygienist is always nice, but that’s not enough for us to continue coming back.

Negative experience: They don't care about customers anymore, they used to have nice people there but not any more...

Fantastic experience: Just took my son for his first dental checkup and honestly, it was such a good experience. The clinic is super clean, kid-friendly, and check-in was smooth. They had cartoons playing, fun aquatic wallpapers, really thoughtful for kids. The staff was so kind and patient, especially the nurse practitioner, Mahanoor. She was amazing with my son and Dr. Faisal was great too. It’s not always easy with a 4-year-old, Overall, I walked out feeling really good about the care and the way they treated us.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend!! My son has been a patient for 10 years now and they are awesome!! Now, my granddaughters come and they love it!! They drive an hour just to come , that speaks volumes!!!

Negative experience: This visit was absolutely horrible. We arrived early. 2 families came in after us, one with 2 kids and one with 5 with appt times later than ours. We were called back 30 minutes after our appt to just sit there. After awhile I got up curious to see if those other families had been called back. They had hygienists working on both families while my daughter just sat there. We were first. I went up front to be told the manager makes the assignments so I wanted to talk to her. But she was too busy arguing with another mom who was late. I said what does it matter if she’s late y’all are an hour behind. Dr Kahn is awful. Rude. No bedside manner. And rushed. He is ridiculous. No one could explain why two families received service before us. It took an hour and a half for her teeth to be brushed. Other dentist there are wonderful. But definitely request no Dr Kahn.

Fantastic experience: The dentist here are excellent! We love Dr. Ritwik! Dr. Ritwik is amazing and has such a gentle bedside manner. She's seen my daughter since she was 6 months old. On this visit we saw a dental hygienist (I forgot her name ) she was super patient and caring with my daughter. It's a bummer she's only there temporarily and also the dental assistant Amy (I think is her name) has always been very nice!

Positive experience: First time there today. The staff seems nice. There was a really bad smell when entering inside. Took me by surprise. The floors seemed like they had not been swept or mopped. There was small pieces of trash throughout the floor. There seems to be a big mess in the back of random boxes and no paper towels in the bathroom. ( MORNING time —bathroom inside by the work stations. My concern is that if the place is not being kept with the standards of basic cleaning—Is the facility really doing a good job with hygiene and sterilization of tools?( Sure hope so) I did have to wait quite a while for the dentist so the Kids were getting very impatient. I did like the Dentist however so I’ll come back and hopefully it was just a one day off they were having. I’ll make a decision and revise my rating accordingly next time. Thanks for your response. I’ll be there for a second appointment in a few months and update my review then based on that. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming here for years, and every visit just gets better! The staff is incredibly efficient and professional, making every experience smooth and enjoyable. If you need to wait, the play space is fantastic—such a fun place to pass the time! The whole place is clean and organized, which adds to the great vibe. I can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic experience: We had our nephew who visiting and encountered trauma to his mouth and multiple teeth. We had to endure overnight and make an emergency visit to our local DDS who quickly evaluated and recommend us to Grand Parkway Pediatric Dental. Booking an appointment was a breeze! Getting seen urgently was top priority for them and they even upgraded our visit to providing immediate care to address the oral emergencies. Clear and detailed care and communication from start to finish! Immediate communication with his parents in another state with additional instructions for care and follow ups including sharing of medical records and notes for future his visits. Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic first experience here!!! The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. I've never seen a cooler medical office! There are awesome games and a MINI MOVIE THEATRE in the waiting room! Special mention to Dr. Ritwik and the young lady who took the x-ray of my child's teeth today. We will absolutely be returning for all pediatric dental needs. 10/10 for staff, cleanliness, atmosphere, location, and patient care.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. The wait time is bad, the communication between doctors is horrible! No one knows what’s going on. The worst experience I’ve had so far with is EVAN. She is rude, sarcastic, not professional at all.

Fantastic experience: First time in this practice. Can’t say enough about how good our experience was. Kiddo (8yo) had an infected tooth that reached the nerves, he was in severe pain for days and his dentist schedule was busy to get him in for extraction until next week. I was going nuts seeing my child in this pain not being able to do anything to help him. Started calling around, after many unsuccessful attempts to get him seen by another practice same day, I found Grand Parkway Dental through a Google search and saw they got good reviews. I called in and explained the situation, they took us in same day for consultation. Dr.Faisal was friendly, very professional and honest. He explained the situation as is, no sugar coating and gave us options. He squeezed us in his schedule and extracted my child’s tooth same visit. My son was scared and had many many questions as usual.. Dr. Faisal was very patient and friendly to him. It was a God sent. They definitely earned a loyal client today. Clinic is also very clean and well thought off for kids ( decorations, arcades….etc.)

Negative experience: I called a month ago. Spoke to somebody about making my daughter’s dentist apt this Saturday. They even texted me last week and this week to confirm. When I booked on the phone they told me they took her insurance. Today I get a call saying they can’t do this Saturday bc 2 dentists of theirs don’t take my insurance. WHY WAS SHE SCHEDULED IN FIRST PLACE. They then said they could do June 21 but at 9 am. That won’t work I made an apt time for afternoon specifically so my husband could watch our other kids. So unprofessional! Will not be recommending yall ever!

Positive experience: We are very grateful to the staff, assistants, and dentists who took care of my children. Besides, I have a few comments, not to fire the staff but to adjust the care, especially for the children. Compared to previous times, the dental hygienist was a bit rough with my children, they seemed to be uncomfortable when they received such rough dental care. Hopefully, if we come back next time, we will receive more care and gentleness with my children. Thank you! And I hope this message wasn’t so harsh, I just wanted to let you know so it wouldn’t happen to other children too.

Negative experience: stuff is nice. Doctor Khan is nice but not good communication. He assess patient but does not say anything until you ask. very long waiting period the time you sit ( 20min waiting ) then they take you in and wait again for 10 to 20 min for the doctor.

Negative experience: My son has been coming to this practice since he was a baby. Now he is a teenager and needs just regular cleaning. We are being pushed to take X-rays for basic examination. They said Texas state board requires reqular X-rays. However, my search shows there is no such a law and patients can refuse X-rays. I'm very sad that children are regularly exposed to ionizing radiation. They said sun does more radiation. Not true, sun has ZERO X-rays.

Fantastic experience: This dental practice is truly WONDERFUL!!! They deserve every 5 star review because YES they are that good! I had 4 young kids who all had their first time dental appts here, 2 needing a lot of dental work done, and from the front desk to the docs and everyone in between they made my kids feel so comfortable and they actually WANTED to come back! Id heard horror stories about kids getting crowns and extractions but they must have those meds down good because neither of my girls had any issues! We appreciate all yalls help, price transparency, and mostly for just making our kids feel special and relaxed and happy! From a constantly stressed momma, THANK YALL for making this experience a good one!

Fantastic experience: My kids have a lot of anxiety when it comes to our teeth and they have always been incredibly patient and accommodating. At our most recent visit, Dr. Zheng was thorough, patient and kind as she cleaned my daughter’s teeth through a meltdown and we are so grateful for her! Amy assisted her and did our x-rays and she also was incredibly patient and worked really hard to make sure my daughter was comfortable throughout the process. Highly recommend and shout out to Amy for being awesome!

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new dentist for both of my boys. One of my boys is autistic and it takes him a while to get comfortable with new people, but the staff was so pleasant, understanding and kind. My son complied with most of their requests because he felt at ease. It was fantastic to witness. We will continue to get our oral care here.

Fantastic experience: Listen when I tell you that we have tried MANY dental offices and NEVER have we ever gotten the results and the service that my baby has received. From the checkin process to the check out to the ordering process of her mouth guard and there are really NO words on how my baby really found her FAVORITE Dentist!!! This makes us happy as her caregivers that she is comfortable with Dr. Khan and she is NO LONGER SCARED to see the dentist!! Dr. Khan and staff are the BEST!!!

Negative experience: My kids and I enjoyed coming here. Today, my daughter complained her dental hygienist was a little aggressive opening her mouth and sounded annoyed while speaking to her. My son had a wonderful experience. His dental hygienist was patient and kind although he needed several breaks. The dentist was great as always.

Was able to get her treatment scheduled same week of her diagnosis so that’s a plus ! My other daughter will definitely be going here too.

Negative experience: The Hispanic lady at the front desk was pushy and unkind about me not wanting to schedule my child’s dental procedure. I advised I only wanted the print out of the plan at the time. She asked two more times. The last time she said “we can offer a discount if you’d like to go ahead and get it scheduled.” 1. I already said I didn’t want to schedule it. 2. Who said it was related to $. You made an assumption. Which was an offensive one. 3. If your prices can be lower, they should be. This is the second time I’ve encountered a Hispanic woman that reacted to me in an unprofessional manner. Maybe try hiring friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: My kids and I absolutely loved the whole experience! I know it’s a pediatric dentistry but they were all really good with my kids. I’m so happy to have found them. The theme of the place is also great, it’s creative and fun. Definitely kept my kids busy while I handled paperwork. I also really enjoyed the fact that all 3 of my kids were seen at the same time within a few feet from one another to help with the anxiety I think most kids have of going to the dentist. Very thorough, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Grand parkway pediatric dentist was very great with my kids. Their interior was very astetic and a very nuce atmosphere for me and my kids. The doctors told me about all the procedures going on. There was a little communication issue, but the lady at the front desk helped me out by solving the issue fast and quick.

Negative experience: I am incredibly disappointed with Grand Parkway Pediatrics after they canceled my children's dental appointments just hours before we were supposed to go in. I received a call at 4:30 PM the evening before, informing me that the appointments had been canceled due to them not receiving my insurance card, which they had only requested the day before. As a working mother, I had the card at home and was planning to bring it with me in the morning. We’ve been loyal clients of this practice for five years, and I specifically scheduled these appointments on a day when my children would be out of school to make it easier for everyone. To have this happen at the last minute, after careful planning, was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I expected better communication and flexibility from a practice we've trusted for so long.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dental practice! We've been coming for the last 9 years and every dentist and hygienist has been so friendly and professional. Highly recommend this practice for those kiddos who are a little nervous about the dentist.
