Fantastic experience: They’re super patient and friendly making it easier on my daughter! She’s 4 and it seems every 6 months we have to re-learn what the dentist is like and they do a wonderful job!

Fantastic experience: I recently took my daughter to her dental appointment, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The waiting area was bright and welcoming, with a designated play area that helped ease any pre-appointment nerves. The staff were incredibly friendly and it made my daughter feel comfortable and at ease. The dentist/dental technician was amazing with my daughter, using gentle and reassuring language throughout the examination. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for an stress-free and enjoyable dental experience for their kids.

Fantastic experience: Was pleasantly surprised at how fun and smooth this experience was, and I came by myself with both of my littles, ages 3 years and 15 months! I was referred here by a friend who said it’s great, and I could not agree more! We were welcomed by friendly staff and kid-friendly waiting area at reception, and then brought back to the colorful and happy atmosphere in the appointment space by a tech who was both friendly and great with kids. She made sure my 3 yr old was comfortable with each tool before using them, and my 1 yr old was happy to toddle around the fun space while he waited for bis turn. My 1 yr old even reached for Dr Hugo to pick him up after his exam was finished, and he does not typically reach for anyone but his parents and grandparents, lol! My kids will probably be asking me to go to the dentist just as often as we go to the Doseum haha. And I’d love to gatekeep so it doesn’t get too hard to get appointments lol, but I just have to share what a wonderful experience this was!

Fantastic experience: They are wonderful!! My 5yo granddaughter fell and busted a tooth and they had her in a chair within ten minutes of the accident! Twenty minutes later we were walking out all cleaned up, with the extracted tooth and a popsicle in hand. All on a Friday afternoon 30 minutes before closing! Thank you so much to the wonderful team at Happy Pediatric Dentistry!!!

Fantastic experience: We were referred to Happy Pediatric Dentristry by our Lactation Consultant because our baby had a tongue and lip tie. Dr. Mani was very knowledgeable and explained everything before we decided to do the procedure. The staff was so kind and as gentle as possible with my 8 week old. I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Got my 4 month old tounge and lip tie surgery done. They explained the procedure and after care. It was very fast. My son cried getting it done but once they were out of his mouth he stopped crying. It was less about the pain and more about a bunch of people around him and in his mouth. We were able to see a huge difference as soon as it was done! Every dentist office i called recommended this place for tounge and lip surgery and I can see why!

Fantastic experience: We always have such a great, calm experience here for my little one. She took her teddy and the hygienist brushed teddy's teeth explaining what was doing then brushed my daughters teeth singing a little song.

Fantastic experience: Staff was welcoming and very nice! My daughter had a bad dental experience elsewhere so she was nervous about today’s visit but because of the staff being patient and kind with her she easily got over it and got her cleaning and exam done without any hiccups! My older daughter is very shy and anxious and she sat without me by her side (I was next to my younger daughter in eyes view) and she did amazing! Office is nice and clean and we couldn’t have had a better experience! Dr. Manny had great bedside manner and my daughters did great with him! Highly recommend this office and staff!

Fantastic experience: We have a gassy, fussy, colic baby (3 months old) that doesn't latch to the bottle very good and spits up alot. We were concerned with possible tongue tie. Our pediatrician barely looked at her or examined her and said she is good and does not have tongue tie. Because she was still in alot of pain, was uncomfortable, spitting up and gassy after every feeding (we switch formulas several times and bottles and bottle nipples) we got a second opinion. A co-worker recommend Happy Pediatric Dentistry and told us about his amazing experience with his baby. They got us in very quickly (2 days later) and were so nice and friendly. Dr. Manuel Castillo (Mani) and his staff were very attentive and helpful. They were very transparent and told us our co-pay upfront for everything. Everyone is so knowledgeable in what they are doing and educated us on tongue tie and lip tie. Mani even told us about his own experience with his youngest child and how he wanted to help other children and became a dentist. He gave us a packet that also told us about it and recommended lactation specialist as well as other specialist that could also help for afterwards. Everything he was describing with untreated tongue tie also sounded like our first daughter so we asked if he could briefly look at our first daughter (2 years old) real quick. He looked at both girls. Both had tongue tie. And our oldest has bad upper lip tie as well. He fixed the babies tongue tie the same day and showed us how to do the upkeep and her exercises to make sure it healed properly and didn't grow back. We scheduled for my 2 year old to have hers done later. He educated us on how to go about preparing my 2 year old for her procedure and how to make it easier and turn it into a fun game or song so she is prepared for the routine exercises after her procedure. With the amount of love, caring, and gentleness that Mani and his staff put into our children and the education they gave us and showed us was phenomenal and very appreciated! This man and his staff should win an award for what they do! They truly are the best, they care for the families, love their careers and it shows! Thank you! Update: Our 2 year old did amazing! The staff was so calm with her and playful and she did great with her tounge tie and lip tie procedures! She came out of it smiling and happy and even told them thank and great job as we were walking out the door. We have found our new pediatrics dentistry! Thank you guys so much for the love and care!

Fantastic experience: Tongue/lip tie My poor boy is 7 weeks today and he just had his procedure. The staff were so kind when I called on the phone to ask how it worked and then when we got there we were treated kindly. I really appreciate the clean facilities and the kind and knowledgeable staff. The doc was very good at explaining to us with tenderness how it all worked and such. Thank you Happy Pediatrics! We can finally get baby to eat well!

Fantastic experience: Great place to go for a pediatric dentist. Our dentist and staff are very patient and always welcoming. Took a while to find a dentist my children were comfortable with. We live 25 minutes away and it is worth the drive.

Positive experience: Nice front desk, techs were indifferent, doctor was nice but unfortunately the cleaning was poor. Because I clean my kids teeth well I know when they need deeper cleaning in certain areas. The tech flossed with a tooth pick floss not with actual floss, than the doctor comes and looked at X-rays says everything is good. I mention I was concerned about some tartar build up says he has none… then he said he has a little in the front scrapes and finds a big chunk of food that he found because the flossing was poor…. Purposely covers the teeth with fluoride before even checking the area I mentioned that had tartar and that I was concerned about… why even ask if I have concerns if you plan on ignoring them? I mentioned to him if he can look at the area I mentioned then he scrapes the fluoride off the area and states there is no tartar just fluoride… of course it is because you covered the area with it before actually looking at it when I asked you to look at it. We are private pay and it’s not fair to pay for poor service. Not returning for this reason. Distance isn’t convenient but if the service and care was good I would have returned…

Fantastic experience: Our Doctor recommended Happy Pediatrics for my sons tongue tie. They were so helpful and able to squeeze us in on short notice. Dr. Manny was very professional and did an excellent job explaining the procedure and after care!

Fantastic experience: Fast, fun and easy. Think her name is miss D. She was perfect for my son it was his first time in chair by himself and she walked him through it in a way he would understand. 10/10. 3 boys at the same time. we were in an out in 30 min with exams and xrays.

Negative experience: I recently had a very disappointing experience with Happy Pediatric Dentistry. I scheduled an appointment well in advance, but when they called a day before to confirm. I was informed about a balance I supposedly owed, which I was never informed about. Keep in mind the DOS was in Aug of 2024 and you just now bring it to my attention. I mentioned to the lady that I would have to take some time to investigate the balance and speak to my insurance first before paying. Well unfortunately, we won’t be able to see you until you pay this balance. It was so unexpected and left me feeling blindsided. Communication is key, and the fact that they didn't let me know beforehand is just not right. This lack of transparency and customer service is a major letdown. and the staff seemed indifferent to the inconvenience they caused. Again, The lack of communication and professionalism was unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mani is the best and has such a wonderful, calming bedside manner with kiddos. His staff is super friendly and makes a not always fun experience less scary!

Fantastic experience: Took our newborn in for a consult, Dr.Mani was fantastic! Such a calm demeanor and took the time to explain the procedure we needed as well as after care. To our surprise he made time to take care of the tongue tie and lip tie while we were already there, much appreciated when you have a young baby. Can't recommend Happy Dentistry enough!!

Fantastic experience: I cant say enough how great Dr.Mani and staff were at Happy pediatrics. Extremely thorough during examination and very knowledgeable. Explained everything very carefully and answered our questions with great detail. My daughter was evaluated for lip/tongue tie, we decided to go ahead with the procedure, everything went smoothly. Staff also great, everyone was kind, and well trained. We have no regrets driving all the way from THE RGV, because of the wonderful cate we received

Negative experience: The doctor was great to explain all our concern. The dentists assistant was awesome too! But the front desk she talk to me with a bad attitude. Not friendly, not patient and don’t talk with respect. Thanks the Mrs. Lulu help with my concern about my son appointment.

I know that sounds counter intuitive at a pediatric practice, but we’ve been to other pediatric dentists that did not seem to like kids. Great place! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Update 1/2025 Honestly, nothing has changed. This is still an awesome office. I wish my adult dentist was this good. I've been taking my kids here for a couple years. They are the most efficient office I've ever been in. Their set up is good and their staff kind. The dentists are great too. Glad they're so fabulous because it makes mom's life easier!

Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience with Dr Castillo and his whole staff at Happy Dentistry. I brought my 4 month old in to get a professional opinion on his lip and tongue tie. Dr Castillo is definitely an expert in this area. As he was explaining all of the issues that could (not always) come from a lip and tongue tie, he listed more than half of the issues my son was having! After Dr Castillo examined my son’s mouth, we decided to go ahead with the procedure that day. Dr Castillo and his team informed me step-by-step what the procedure would look like and how to care for him post operation. The whole team was efficient and made efforts to make my son as comfortable as possible. Day 1 after the procedure and my son already has a better latch!

As new parents, we approached this with caution and hesitation, but Dr. Mani created a reassuring environment, patiently addressing all our questions and concerns.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mani was very knowledgeable on the aspects of lip and tongue ties and even had referrals for speech therapy and breast consultation for after the procedure is done. They also offer Medicaid discounts! Everyone was friendly and helpful. First time mom and first time visit to dentist for my daughter went very well.
