Big Smiles Pediatric Dentistry

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my boys to Big Smiles Dentistry, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they’ve received! The whole team is friendly, patient, and so great with kids , they make every visit stress-free and even fun. The dentists take the time to explain everything and make sure the kids feel comfortable. The office is clean, welcoming, and really designed with families in mind. Highly recommend Big Smiles Dentistry to any parent looking for a place that truly cares about their little ones’ smiles!

Negative experience: Booking out 3 months for filings and 7 months out for cleanings. Maybe there needs to be a cap on accepting new patients if you can’t accommodate current ones.

Fantastic experience: My son has been going to Big Smiles for about a year and he absolutely adored Dr. Hanna. After Dr. Hanna left, I wasn’t sure if he would ever feel comfortable enough to let another dentist look at his teeth. But Dr. Caroline and her amazing assistant, Jacie, exceeded every expectation. They were incredibly patient, gentle, and understanding, and they earned his trust — enough for him to get a full cleaning and dental X-rays! Thank you, Big Smiles, for creating such a positive and comforting experience for my child. We’re truly grateful and already looking forward to seeing Dr. Caroline and Jacie again in six months!

Fantastic experience: Always a pleasure to visit Big Smiles. Dr. John and his staff treat me like family. People laugh when I tell them I am looking forward to going to my dentist! But it's true! Today, Dr. Olivia meticulously worked on my tooth and then called me at home with a follow-up suggestion. Come on, who does that? Even though Big Smiles is a 25 minute drive from my home, I will never even consider going to a different dentist's office. They are just the best.

Negative experience: I’ve never been treated so rudely or disrespected at a dental office before. During my daughter’s appointment, the hygienist Marissa was very unprofessional — the first thing she asked me was why I even come there for cleanings if I get dental work done with Autumn’s homeopathic dentist. That’s not an appropriate or welcoming question to ask any parent. When Dr. Yoojin Rachel Rhee came in to examine my daughter’s teeth, she immediately said my daughter needed a crown on a baby tooth. For context, crowns on baby teeth are often unnecessary unless the tooth is severely decayed or infected, since baby teeth eventually fall out. I told her that we’d be getting the fillings done with our other dentist, who had already reviewed the same x-rays and confirmed my daughter was not in pain or at risk. At that point, Dr. Rhee accused me of “neglecting” my child and said she was surprised my daughter wasn’t in extreme pain — which was completely untrue and felt like an attempt to guilt-trip me. To make things worse, the office later refused to schedule any future appointments for my daughter and asked us not to return. It’s such a shame, because our previous hygienist and doctor at this same office were wonderful — kind, respectful, and supportive of my choices as a parent. Unfortunately, this recent experience with Marissa and Dr. Yoojin was the exact opposite. Parents, beware — they’ll make you feel judged and ganged up on for simply making your own informed decisions about your child’s care.

Negative experience: Hello, I normally don’t write in or post comments, but I had a very disappointing experience at your office today. My appointment was scheduled for 1:40 PM, but the receptionist mentioned it was for 2:40 PM. I explained that I had received a call asking to move the appointment, but I told them I couldn’t, so it should have remained at 1:40. I arrived on time, checked in, and was told to take a seat. By 1:55 PM, I still hadn’t been called in. Around 2:08 PM, I was finally brought back, but then left waiting again until about 2:30 PM. At that point, I had to let the staff know that I couldn’t stay much longer because I had to return to work — the reason I scheduled the 1:40 appointment in the first place. The treatment my daughter needed was very important, and now I likely won’t be able to get her in until next year because I have no more time off left. This was a major disappointment, especially given the lack of communication. I found myself having to repeatedly ask for updates, only to be told, “We’ll be with you shortly.” I wanted to share this feedback so it can be addressed. I value your services and hope this can be improved for future visits. Thank you for your time, Jackie R.

Fantastic experience: Today my 17 month old had her first dentist appointment. I was blown away with how happy all the staff were to see her there. Everyone worked hard to make her feel comfortable. I was not optimistic that they would even get her to open her mouth but somehow they succeeded. They are true professionals!!

Negative experience: I have had really good experiences in the past but this last appointment was really bad the receptionist had an attitude problem. So unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful experience! The moment the front desk staff contacted me they were informative, helpful and friendly. They assisted me through the appointment and insurance process flawlessly. When it came to my daughters treatment Dr.Rhee was gentile and made my 2 year old extremely comfortable. Wish I found this office sooner!!

Fantastic experience: My daughter is 6 and has not been able to sit in a dental chair without tears. She saw Katie the hygienist last week and left with a smile. She told me that she wants to go back to see her every day! Thank you for being so kind and making her feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Best dentist ever my kids used to hate dentist visits before I signed them with big smile, but now they love it. The staff are so professional and what’s more important is that they are so kind ,friendly and they know how to deal with kids. Dr.Rhee is so professional.

Fantastic experience: My kids are terrified of the sentence “we are going to the dentist.” It’s always a hassle just getting in the car to go. Always have to tell them where we are once we arrived. Big smiles pediatric changed their minds completely. I’m so happy I found their forever dental Office. Thank you BSP! **new review** Now my children are constantly asking at least once a month are they going to dentist. We has our 6 month check up and I have to say the atmosphere hasn’t changed! Thank you for the continuous patient care.

Fantastic experience: My son cracked his tooth on Saturday evening. I booked an emergency visit with Aspen dental for Monday 9am. My phone range at 8am with a woman stating they couldn't honor my appointment because they don't work on kids. I took the day off work and had a 12 yr old in pain. I was livid!!! I called Big Smiles and they gave me a 10:30 appointment. They were so professional and gentle with my son. They definitely have a new patient.

Fantastic experience: My son had his first appointment today at big smiles. His dental hygienist was Marissa and he loved her. She was so kind to him and made him feel comfortable. He even asked to go back in after we left. We will definitely be coming here forever.

Fantastic experience: This was my son’s first ever dentist appointment, the staff was awesome and they did best to keep my little boy entertain.

Negative experience: This was the first time I was really unhappy with the office. My daughter was rescheduled for today at 220 for a cleaning but they didn’t have her appointed. They did set her up with a dr we had never met before to do her cleaning. I was told Dr Berger was no longer with the practice and we were unaware. The cleaning was really fast and I felt like she didn’t do much. She polished first which was strange. She flossed my daughter very fast and rough. It hurt her pretty bad. She also wiggled a tooth out which we were ok with. But she didn’t give it time to get numb and it was very painful to my daughter. She also left a huge blood piece of tissue attached and we had to go to another dr to have it remove right after. We will not be back. You are sorry I feel this way? Or sorry for hurting my child?

Fantastic experience: Took my toddler here for her first cleaning which she was very nervous for but the atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming!! We seen Kate and she was absolutely excellent with my daughter.

Fantastic experience: The one place I don’t dread bringing my wild toddlers to is the dentist! They are so understanding, helpful, and capable of handling little kids and their big emotions. My kids did awesome today and it’s a gift to have great providers here.

Fantastic experience: Usually my children have anxiety going to the dentist but here for her first visit it was amazing! They made her comfortable and relaxed. She was asking when she can come back when her appointment was finished!!! The hygienist go above and beyond and the doctors are great also.

Negative experience: The assistant was ok with my son because he didn’t give her a hard time and gave him two tokens for two prizes , my daughter did great until she put the vacuum in her mouth and my daughter got scared and started crying. I had to calm her down and the dentist finally came and we were able to get my daughter back on the table for the dentist. The dentist was looking at her teeth and asked her how many prizes she wanted and my daughter said two. When all was said and done, the assistant gave my daughter one token and when I asked for another she said no. You can’t promise a kid two prizes if she does what you ask and not give it to them. It takes a special person to work with kids and she just doesn’t have it. My kids were very well behaved and just because my daughter cried was no reason for her to act like that . It was like she was annoyed after my daughter was crying. My daughter walked out of there upset not understanding why she didn’t get two prizes after the dentist told her she could if she let her look in her mouth, which she did. Horrible way to treat a 4 year old who just got a little scared by the suction and eventually did what they wanted. For. 4 year old to walk out and question why they said they would give her two prizes after doing what they said is a horrible way to treat a child.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had my teeth under the care of Dr.John and was very disappointed when he retired. Seeing him in his new office was a dream come true. I always had a great deal of trust in him & today was no exception. His experience has always lead to a great dental experience. Thank you for seeing me ,especially on such short notice. Listened to all of our concerns, took them seriously, and tried to find solutions. Fast appointments and they are professionals!

Fantastic experience: The office is so cute! They literally have a tv on the ceiling for the kids to watch tv while they’re getting their teeth cleaned. The dental team is amazing with kids I would definitely recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: I was a bit anxious about my 3 year old sons first visit to the dentist, but hygienist Amy and Dr. Park exceeded my expectations. They made the visit quick, painless and fun for him. Amy was patient, friendly and so good with him, explaining everything along the way so he knew what to expect. The office is perfectly decorated and welcoming for kids and all the staff in the front were great too. So glad I chose Big Smiles for our pediatric dentistry needs!

Fantastic experience: Big smiles makes it so easy for me to bring my kids to for their appointments. They get their teeth cleaned at the same time, in rooms right next to each other so I can toggle back and forth. The staff is so nice and my kids truly enjoy going to the dentist!

Fantastic experience: My 10mo had her first visit and coming from someone with Dental background, I am extremely pleased with not only the staff and how informative they were but with how CLEAN the office was. They made sure to inform me of everything that would happen during the visit, asked if I had any questions and gave me advice when needed. They were also very patient and gentle with her. I was sent paperwork via text message prior to the visit so when we arrived to the office, all they had to do was check us in! Makes for an easy, COMFORTABLE appointment. Especially with the littles. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: Today was the first visit for my son and when walking in was okay but when i went back with Lynn, Omg just put a smile not only on my face but my son as well. For my son to say he loved the visit was great to hear, i mean what kid would say that for the dentist.. Lynn took her time and explained everything that what will occur during the visit, explained the X-rays to me, answered all my questions and made us feel so comfortable and glad to be there.. the Dr was also nice and greeting. Fantastic experience: My boys got their clean up appt today. We were sad to find out Missy, my boys favorite dental hygienist, is no longer working at this dental office. Now we have Katie who was so good with my boys and very kind and gentle. So was the 2 new dentist who I forgot their names( Sorry ). Overall, Big Smiles provides an excellent service always.

Fantastic experience: I went to Big Smiles today for a cleaning and check up. The staff are amazing there!! The hygienist who took care of me was awesome! She explained everything she did, educated me on when is the best time to floss my teeth, and helped me find an oral surgeon to have a consultation about my wisdom teeth. I’ve always had a great experience there every visit! Would definitely recommend Big Smiles as the best dental office !!

Fantastic experience: We can’t say enough about the staff and doctors at Big Smiles. My kids look forward to their checkups every 6 months. My daughter has been under the care of Dr. Rebecca for orthodontic work over the past year and a half and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Dr. Rebecca was meticulous in her approach and very detailed oriented when it came to obtaining the best result for our 14 year old’s smile. Fantastic experience: My daughters gets nervous and uncomfortable every time they hear they have the dentist appt, but now after their first visit my both daughters loved it and enjoy the activities surround them and can watch movies or shows during their cleaning etc and especially the prizes at end of their visits. The Drs and staffs there are all so kind and helpful! My kids told me that they can’t believe they enjoyed being at the dentist or not nervous anymore it’s so fun! Best place to go for any other family/kids dentistry. They respect your privacy and make sure u feel comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Ever since switching to Big Smiles, my daughter LOVES going to the dentist. I love that the staff is really good with children, they talk to them in a way they understand and that makes my daughter comfortable with letting them clean her teeth. They also have TVs in the wall and ceiling which is a great distraction for the children.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a very pleasant experience today ar Big Smiles Pediatric Dentistry. The staff connected with her right away and made the overall experience fun for her. All of my questions were answered by the dentist and hygienist. As a parent, it's comforting to know that my child's experience at the dentist is going to be a positive one that he looks forward to.

Fantastic experience: My son has been a patient here since he was 3 and every time is a great experience. Today my 6 year old needed his first fillings and unfortunately a crown due to sugar bugs! My son didn’t even cry! The dentist and hygienist were great, talked to him the whole time and made both of us feel comfortable & explained everything in detail. I will never go anywhere else! The dentist can be frightening for kids even adults but everyone here makes your experience as comforting as possible.

Fantastic experience: We had the most amazing experience today! My son is notoriously hard at doctor visits, etc. (he’s not quite 2 years old) we had Amy as our hygienist and she was so sweet and amazing from the start. My son walked right in with her, she put his favorite Show on and kept him so calm and happy the entire visit. I’ve never had such an amazing medical experience with him so so pleased and I can’t say enough good things. The dentist that visited us at the end was amazing too! Everyone was so sweet and caring.

Fantastic experience: This has got to be the best best place to bring your kids. The front office staff Perri & Temisa were awesome with their smiles & laughter. The two hygienist that worked on my two children Marisa and Lynn were amazing. They made my kids so relaxed & they explain everything. My two children had a bad experience before going to Big Smiles & were both very nervous but thanks to Big Smiles for turning that all around! ❤️

Fantastic experience: My 4 year old does not do the best with the doctor or dentist visits. Today she was won over. I am so grateful she was able to get a full cleaning done with so much patience and understanding. She is so excited to come back to big smiles for her next cleaning!

Fantastic experience: 12-27-23 I had both my boys cleanings at the same appt. I love the convenience of that. Both hygienists were super friendly and it was a great experience for everyone. The dentist that followed up at the end was also super friendly and explained how they can do better to avoid cavities while also praising them for how well they’re doing. I can actually say that both of my boys like coming to their appointment!

Fantastic experience: Big Smiles is the best place to take your child for dental work. Everyone there is very friendly. My daughter is 7 and she loves going to the dentist. They have tv shows the kids can watch while getting their teeth clean. My daughter had one cavity and Big Smiles made it feel comfortable. She was not scared at all. They talked her threw everything before they started. Then when the kids get done they get a token and get to pick a toy out of the coin machine. Little cute toys. I love that there is no Candy in any of the machines. They have bounce balls,spinners,rings etc. The doctors are amazing they will tell u everything that is going on with their teeth. When we went today the Doctor pulled me outside the room and spoke to me. I loved it so my daughter didn't hear it or get scared. They work with your schedules and schools for special appointments. Bring your child there you will never regret it.

Fantastic experience: I was very nervous for my son on his first dental visit. But OH MY GOODNESS. Marissa was A M A Z I N G. I could almost cry of the experience. I was super duper amazed. She is definitely top tier. From the moment I walked into Big Smiles, my son felt as ease. The women at the front desk were reassuring and super duper comforting from beginning to end as well. Thank you so much!!!!

Negative experience: Staff at the front desk are rude. I had to wait 30 minutes to get seen and my kids have appointments. They took everyone who came in the waiting room before me. I had to ask when the kids were going to be seen. Also, I was the only person in the waiting they made use the iPad to check in. Everyone else didn’t have to. Dentist and hygienists are great. Front staff are not.

Fantastic experience: Just went here for the first time today! What a wonderful office and staff! I was amazed at how still my toddler sat and it was thanks to their super patient and sweet approach! Everyone was lovely and she even wanted to run back and have a second cleaning! A++

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff! Precious office decorations, ipads loaded with games, and lots of toys to play with while waiting. There are TVs on the ceiling and in front of the dental chair in every room, which really helps to keep the kids distracted. Every dentist and dental assistant we’ve seen have been equally sweet and calm (shout out to Missy!)

Fantastic experience: Wonderful pediatric dentistry practice all around! The facility, the receptionists, dental hygienists and the dentists. The entire visit is always wonderful. We never wait in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes, not that my kids even mind being in the waiting room since it’s wonderfully designed to be engaging and entertains for kids. The entire staff is very professional, very thorough and knows how to handle any situations!

And when I took my one year-old there, she did not cry she was happy and now, every time she goes She is just so happy to get the toothbrush and Surprises that they give out

Fantastic experience: LOOOOOOOVE our dental assistant Lynn and the staff and Dr.’s who’ve helped both my girls (3 & 4 yrs). We’ve been seeing them since my oldest turned 2. They’ve really made the dental experience awesome. Both my kids enjoy their visits! They are very efficient, accommodating and kind, definitely would recommend!

Fantastic experience: This was our first dentist appointment for my 19m old. The staff is absolutely amazing at making sure they take their time to introduce themselves to your little one. The waiting room has activities and check in was very easy. The hygienist really took her time with my daughter and had options to help make her comfy so she can do the exam. They have TVs in the room and they went out of their way to make sure her products were gluten free for my daughter who has a allergy. My daughter left happy with a new toothbrush, toothpaste and a rubber ducky and a sticker! Highly recommend this place to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Susie and Jacky were absolutely amazing!! Their ability to make the connection with with our son during his extraction today , removed all the nerves and made him feel comfortable during procedure. They are kind and explained every step in a way that my son could understand. Thank you for everything!

Fantastic experience: Missy is amazing and great with kids! I drive at least 45 mins to come here and its well worth it. All the staff are very friendly its also very clean and updated, and the decorations in every room and the waiting room is amazing and super cute and welcoming for the kids not to be nervous. They play anything on the tv on the ceiling and in front of you and they also sing and dance!

Fantastic experience: The staff is fantastic; they have been my sons dental team since his first appointment and no matter who I get it’s always a consistent experience! Going to the dentist can be daunting for kids, but the environment they create def makes it easier on them!

Fantastic experience: We came highly recommended from staff at my daughters pediatricians office. Upon walking in she was excited about the decor in the lobby. The office was clean and smelled refreshing. She didn’t know what to expect but the staff was so friendly and polite. They even turned on the tv so she could watch Netflix. Everything went great and they made sure to thoroughly explain her X-ray and plan or treatment. Now she’s looking forward to coming back on Saturday. Todays visit went great. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Autumn (3 years old) and Salvatore (2 years old) went to Big Smiles on 05/24/2023! Autumn said she was “a little scared” when we parked. We got inside and both their eyes lit up by the fun, kid-friendly waiting room. They could not stop talking about the sea creatures painted all over the wall and the fun statues everywhere! Marissa, one of the dental assistants I believe, greeted them both so friendly and happy and made them both so comfortable. I was nervous they wouldn’t open their mouths for her at all but Marissa made them laugh and giggle and they relaxed enough to let her see and clean their teeth! The dentist came in as well who was just as kid friendly, fun, patient and understanding. They also provided me with good tips and tricks on their dental hygiene! Both my kids left with nothing but smiling, happy faces. Autumn even asked if she could go back and the moment we got back in the car Salvatore said, “that place was so much fun!” I am so glad we chose Big Smiles and feel so much better about the care of their teeth.

Fantastic experience: We love Big Smiles. My son (7) gets excited to go there and doesn’t want to leave. I know, it’s hard to believe, but they create such a fun atmosphere. In our experience the dentist is knowledgeable and the hygienists are kind and caring and fun.
