Negative experience: One thing do not go there,Blankenship is money hungry she finds some kind of excuse to get money out of you. She knows how to manipulate and get you in the corner and scare you because it’s your kid. I took my kids for routine check ups and for cleaning, they both were done like in 10 minutes and we got in the car. I asked my little girl she said dad she didn’t do anything no cleaning they were out in 10 minutes my older one so dad they didn’t even do mine so down halfway the road I called I was a Klosterman Road already at 4 o’clock in the afternoon they said oh we’re sorry we forgot about my older daughter I made a U-turn and Klosterman Road know this time she was in there three minutes I timed it and these people in the office that work there they do not know what they’re doing like I said this place is just money money money hungry and you’re taking your kid there for trust don’t do it oh and the bill you get You’ll see

Negative experience: The worst deal ever I had from the receptionist I wait 1 month to take an appointment for my kids and when I arrive only 5 minutes late she cancel the appointment and when I try to explain to her that there is a heavy traffic outside she ignore and walk while I was talking to her. It is the worst experience I have ever had .

Negative experience: IF YOU LOVE YOUR KIDS- DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE! My coworker and I were just talking about dental trauma, I decided to look up the dentist that caused all of my dental trauma/anxiety. I am APPALLED to find that this woman is still in practice. I vividly remember as a child having to have a couple fillings and a tooth pulled, I had the nitrous gas on but still felt pain. I told Dr. Blankenship that I could still feel everything and she ignored me, I ended up trying to swat her away from my mouth to which she had the dental assistants hold my arms down. I then tried to kick my feet to get them to stop, she had more assistants hold my feet down. I cried and cried for my dad until it was over with, when I got to the waiting room and told him what happened he never brought me back there but the psychological damage had already been done. Now as an adult it has taken me almost 20(ish) years to get over the fear of a simple teeth cleaning. I’m so grateful to my new dentist who is so patient, kind and understanding. I can sit through teeth cleanings and even chat during them now! As a mother I refuse to go to any dentist that doesn’t allow you to accompany your child because of what I went through, protect your children and do not send them here!

Negative experience: My daughter use to see Dr. Blankenship up until we moved away. The reason why I’m writing this review now is because my daughter has an upcoming dental appointment at a family dentist where we now live and have been going to, which she absolutely loves. She expressed to me that this dental office was not good. I asked why that is and he told me that they did not numb her good enough and so she felt the pain. And mind you this has been a few years ago since she was seen so like 7/8? And we had been seeing them for years. She’s going on 11 now. And if she still remembers then that’s trauma for her. I cannot believe this. I’m very upset by this. It’s unacceptable to do this to a child & not even allow parents to come back to check on their child to be there physically with them for moral support or physically see the work that is being done. To make sure that our little ones are ok in the process. Like what in the world is going on at this office…… I’ve read some other reviews too of this happening to other children and it’s really sad.

Fantastic experience: My oldest son has been coming to Dr. Blankenship’s office since 2017. My boys have never been to any other dentists office, they feel loved and safe every time they come here. They have cried before but not out of fear but because they did not want to leave. It was very important to me that they go somewhere fun and the doctor is gentle so they don't cry or fear the dentist every time we come. I drive 40 minutes out of my way because this doctor and staff have something very special and I truly thank them all for the care they offer to my children.

Fantastic experience: Dr blankenship’s office is absolutely fantastic! This office has gone above and beyond the expectations! A big thank you to her and her staff for helping us out! Negative experience: WOW!!! I was telling my husband about my anxiety with the dentist and decided to look up if it was still in practice.. I am astonished at sooo many people that went through the same trauma I went through! I am 30 years old and I am STILL traumatized by Dr Susan Blankenship. I was given 4 fillings, a silver cap & a hole drilled into my adult molar as a 10 year old child with no pain medication. I was also held down while I kicked & screamed at the top of my lungs! I am beyond sick to my stomach seeing so many reviews of people this has happened to & that are younger than me, meaning it continued. This practice needs to be closed. I just went to the dentist for the first time in 15 years due to my extreme anxiety & PTSD, thanks to Dr. Susan Blankenship. Don’t bring your child here ! Protect them & listen to them. They are predatory & clearly enjoy hurting children. SICK!

I called because the dentist my son was going to made us wait in a room for 3 hours with no doctor that came in. I got frustrated and left. You guys got my Son in right away to get the issue he was dealing with resolved ❤️ We just found our new dentist. Negative experience: I am 43 now when i was 17 in 1998 and my brother was 14 we had just moved from NY to FL. We had just seen our childhood dentist a few months before we moved and had no cavities at all. When we got to FL we got on Florida Kid Care. We went to Dr Blankenship for routine cleaning and she told my mother we both had many cavities I had 5 and my brother had 7. My mom was shocked but they told her the Florida kid care would cover silver fillings. Well you can guess what happened Dr Blankenship filled all of those teeth on the same visit with just laughing gas. All of those cavities were unnecessary She did it just for the money. To destroy and ruin perfect adult teeth in teenagers just for a few bucks. These fillings have haunted us our whole life. From the trauma of getting them done to knowing we were both butchered by Dr Blankenship for a few bucks is pure evil. My brother has had a lot of problems with his teeth because of her over the years and one of mine just cracked. My life long childhood Dentist at that time from NY just saw us and said we had no cavities and then Dr Blankenship says we have 5 and 7 each just wants to just charge the insurance see us as a few bucks a bunch of poor kids on government help program. Absolutely horrible. I think about what happened to us all the time. I wish we never went there I wish I had spoken out to my mother and said there is no way we have all those we just saw our NY dentist. Do Not Bring Your Kids There She really should have been shut down long ago.

Negative experience: I wish i could give 0 stars but unfortunately google forces at least 1. dr blankenship is the root cause of my dental anxiety. when i was around 10 years old she preformed a filling on a adult molar with no numbing or nitrous i remember telling her and her staff it hurt as i was crying and they forced my hands down to my sides and proceeded to finish the filling. they never allowed my parents back with me as they said it was a distraction for me, the staff would always tell my parents i was crying because i was dramatic. i am 21 years old now and terrified of the dentist to this day, they use a rewards system for good reviews as to why you will see so many 5 star reviews but please do your child the favor and find another doctor that allows you to be with your child.

Negative experience: Wonderful staff! Love the office ladies. My little guy loves Megan so much! Dr.Blankenship is a angel. I have to mention Tammy, Kristen and milly how kind and caring they are. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I took my toddler there for his first cleaning. The office receptionists made me and my son feel very welcomed. The office was clean and quiet. His hygienist Haley (sp?) was very polite and knowledgeable. I also had the opportunity to meet Ms Susan Blankenship and she was amazing. If there was a 10 star option I’d give them 20 stars.

Fantastic experience: Just finished up my son’s first appointment and we are very happy customers! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the welcoming energy. Super clean and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful! Zero complaints from my son as well (which is a feat in its own right). Couldn’t be happier with my choice for a pediatric dentist! Negative experience: Horrible place, contradicting, rude staff major inconvenience all around. They act like parents have nothing better to do than to drive kids back and forth for no reason just so they can collect more insurance money. Any place that won't let you watch you your child's procedure or let them text you while they are in the back, then the dentist pretty much yells at my daughter for texting her mom. This place screams I won't be back.

Fantastic experience: My son has been coming here for over a year and he loves this office. They all are always very nice and professional. Before we came here he was terrified of any dental work done and now he goes back by himself very confident and relaxed. He trusts his dentist and so do I. Negative experience: I am now an adult, and I still carry the trauma caused by Dr. Blankenship when I was very young. As my childhood dentist, she performed multiple unnecessary procedures on my baby teeth that should never have been done. One of the most damaging was placing a metal cap over one of my baby teeth, which eventually led it to rot and caused my gum to swell into a large bubble. My dad had to rub numbing cream on my mouth to help with the pain. She removed another tooth using a root canal procedure—something that should never have been performed on a baby tooth. Afterward, she placed a metal rectangle on my gum, which prevented my adult tooth from growing. Do your research and make sure your child actually needs the procedure, or you could cause your child lifelong trauma like me. Update: I never took the time to read all the bad reviews till tonight I never knew other people were coming forward with their trauma as well. For us to all come back and say something about the abuse and how we were treated years and years later says something. I felt very unsafe around dr Blankenship and her staff I am 24 years old and I still think about it.

Positive experience: EDIT: she did not like it and I want to cry writing this. I wish I knew that you should read reviews for pediatric dentist. Reading ADULTS now writing reviews for how tramatized they still are to this day from this place!! My daughter loved the dentist! I was the one who got upset because 3 cavities needed to be redone and paid out of pocket that was harp. Well little did I know it could get worse. So much worse! She got the third cavity redone a third time here and it got so infected!! She was crying from the pain not to long after getting it filled! I made an appointment that day ! They gave me antibiotics and scheduled her for a month out !! I figured they knew what they were doing. I could look at the tooth and tell it just was filled wrong and needed to be filled again because there was something stuck in it! Well instead they sent her home. The next day she’s in tears from the pain! I call them and say she can’t take this pain she can’t wait an entire month. They say okay bring her in .. now all of sudden she goes from needing a crown put on to the entire tooth pulled. I didn’t question it I just wanted her to feel better. This was the first time without the laughing gas I thought she’d be okay. Nope she left completely traumatized from the dentist now. They put a spacer in. They kept calling to schedule her 6 month check up and I’ve ignored them. She doesn’t ever want to go back now! And they entice you on your first visit to leave a review!! Now we’ve found our third dentist and Susan said she had no more cavities after this! Well guess what we went for her 6 month cleaning. She’s got 4 cavities on her GROWN UP MOLARS!!! I’m so mad I want to sue but unfortunately I just read that’s actually why they don’t allow parents back because then they can’t sue for malpractice! They also kept telling me she needed to put sealants in so I said okay finally and they put them on wrong so now the other cavity is cracked in the middle! The dentist I brought her to now literally said “double whammy of bad dentist harp and Blankenship and the other lady said yea I’ve actually been there you haven’t it’s terrible” I take my daughter to every cleaning! She brushed 2 times a day. She’s afraid to floss because harps filling fell out while flossing.. smh. But between all of that. Now she needs to be put under for dental surgery !! I’m more then mad I’m angry I’m upset I feel so defeated !!! I tried everything in my power as a mother to try and prevent this!! She needs the 4 adult cavities a canine child cavities and SIX CROWNS !!!! And forgot to mention the tooth they pulled and spacer they put in isn’t even doing anything so now I have to pay out of pocket to get it replaced and put in correctly!! Who would of known that you need to check reviews for your child’s dentist?! Not me! I assumed they all knew what they were doing and it’s teeth you can only do so much and they all go to school for the same things and learn the same stuff ! WRONG! Do your research please! DONT GO HERE! Old review— This is only our 3rd appointment however Susan Blankenship has been very nice! The staff is accommodating and they get her in right away. Unfortunately we first went to Harp ped for 4 years and she had 3 fillings during that time and ALL 3 needed to be refilled and after the one fell out again I decided to switch her. Unfortunately the only problem I’ve had here is the fact that she’s now 9 and her insurance doesn’t cover the laughing gas any longer. However that’s not their fault. I also really dislike the fact they don’t let you back in the room to hold your child’s hand during whatever procedure they’re getting done. So I might be switching after this appointment due to that fact alone. However the room she does go into they have tablets and it is super friendly so I’m gonna leave it at her discretion to decide what she wants to do after this appointment if she still likes it here or not.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to the friendly front desk lady, my car broke down outside this office and while I had my car worked on my kids had to use the bathroom and I walked into their looking like a mess soaked and dripping water due to the pouring rain. She let my kids use the bathroom with a smile and didn’t make me feel like an inconvenience at all despite me walking in minutes before they closed. If they give that care to a random stranger, I’m positive that they are treating their patients with great care. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: We had just moved here and didn't know anything about which Dentist to choose for our children. We did our research based on the reviews on Google and Yelp and landed in Dr. Susan's office! Honestly, we are very happy, grateful and proud of our choice. Our children have been her patients since 2018! Each and every friend/parent that mentions they need a dentist we recommend her and her office. Location is very spacious and clean. The whole office has a great structure and everything is well organized on how they do everything. Employees work together as a TEAM! They are very respectful and humble. They make children feel comfortable! And explain everything to the T to us parents/guardians. Plus my kids love it! We recommend this office!

She and her office staff are professional, very friendly and always very helpful, answering all questions you have. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this dentist for Peds. Staff are really nice, and excellent with my autistic daughter. I was not needed in the back at all. That was my main concern at her first visit. But I didn’t have any worries the staff knew what they were doing which was a huge relief for me. The office is very clean and kid friendly.

Fantastic experience: This is the most efficient dental office I've been to. Staff verifies insurance for you, visits are fast. Most of all my child was scared to death going to health department during pandemic. We have never had an unhappy visit at this office even having work done. Negative experience: I called the office to make my almost 2 year-old her very first dentist appointment. Her school-age siblings started going here last year and enjoy the waiting room. In the process of making the appointment, I was told that parents are not permitted to attend the appointment with their child and must wait in the waiting room. I was aware of this policy when my husband took my step kids previously. It is important to note that they are 8 and 10 years old. I reiterated to the women on the phone that my daughter is TWO YEARS OLD (one week shy, actually) and that it will be her first dentist visit. Apparently they cannot make any exceptions. I can maybe understand this for ESTABLISHED, neurotypical, school-age patients but no exceptions is wild. Do they really think a toddler is going to willingly leave their parent to go with a strange person in a new, unfamiliar environment? Regardless, I would never leave my barely 2 year-old child alone with a complete STRANGER. I am baffled that a medical professional that practices specifically on CHILDREN would have such a developmentally inappropriate, uninclusive "policy". I recommend this dentist use some of their state required CE hours to take a few classes on inclusivity and appropriate practices for infant/toddler and special needs patients. Edited to add: I have now read a few of the reviews from former child patients who are now adults. Refusing parental access allows them to deny you the full transparency that you would have received had you been allowed to attend your child's appointment. This also allows them to deny any accountability for negligence, malpractice, etc. Please think twice before giving strangers unsupervised medical access to your child. They’re also very nice and understanding of situations where you aren’t able to make an appointment and might need to cancel or reschedule (fevers, emergencies, etc). I just find the people here very friendly and not least of all, knowledgeable and talented. My children are in fine hands, I have zero complaints, and would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My son has been coming here since 2009, 15 years! & my daughter started coming when she needed to (now 14) we have NEVER had an issue, they discuss everything with me & listen to my concerns but most importantly my kids are comfortable here, I would recommend to anyone.

The office staff are always so kind, helpful and supportive. The office is so cute and it’s never a long wait! I drive pretty far to go here and it’s worth it!! Fantastic experience: My kids saw Dr. Blankenship when they were younger, now they are grown adults, now I'm bringing my grandkids here, they are wonderful here. I drive 45 minutes for my appointment because they really take the time with the kids. They do excellent work.

Fantastic experience: My son said they were all friendly and he never really had the dentist office talk to him in that manner so Im extremely happy with them. I also found them to be very positive and the dentist herself sat down after, with me and allowed questions and explained things with true interest in my sons needs and what has to be done .

The doctor is amazing she was my dentist when I was younger so it’s definitely a pleasure to have her as my children dentist as well. Fantastic experience: This is seriously the best dentist! We drive 3.5 hrs because the dentist and staff where we moved can't compare to the excellent care my kids get here. We started coming in 2016 and moved in 2021, we've been traveling back to be seen here since. All the staff is caring and friendly. My kids actually get excited to be seen here.

Fantastic experience: All 3 of my children have been coming here since 2017 and we've only had great experiences! They get a prize afterwards so they always enjoy coming! The waiting room is comfy and has a section for kids to watch movies as they wait. The staff is kind and helpful every time.
