Positive experience: My 4 year old has been going here for 2 years now, we get in and seen fairly quickly compared to some other places. They are always very friendly to us and make him feel comfortable. He saw the same dentist the last two times and she was so nice! He also was supposed to get x-rays the last 2 times we went and wasn't quite ready for it yet. He's still afraid and won't let them do it. I had one staff seem like she was a little annoyed with him and said "just forget it" but then when the hygienist came in to clean his teeth and I told her he would not let them do the x-rays again, She assured me that it was fine and normal for his age to still be afraid, and that we would try next time when he's a little older and comes back. The place is very clean and kid friendly, they always have a kid movie playing that he can watch while they clean his teeth which he enjoys. The only downside is they used to give him a toothbrush and toothpaste every time he was seen which made him look forward to that, then I would have to ask for one in order to get it, if you didn't ask, then you don't get one. Now the last time I asked, I was told they don't have any. I feel like most dentists offices give out toothbrushes and that was his favorite thing about going. He was so bummed when he couldn't get one last time we went.

Negative experience: We normally go to another branch but was looking for a place closer to home. Tried this branch out with high expectations but was VERY DISAPPOINTED. The hygienist rushed through the process even after informing her that my 2 y.o. daughter was scared and to please be patient with her as this would only be the 2nd experience for her. The first experience was somewhere further and they were great but again we wanted a place closer to home. At this location during our appointment, the hygienist pried my daughter’s mouth open and forcefully cleaned her teeth which caused my daughter to clench her jaw, screaming and crying. My daughter was on my lap so I felt how forceful the hygienest held my daughters mouth open and even after asking her to please stop and let my daughter calm down, she said ‘this won’t get done so we have to do this quickly’. After that, my daughter became scared that she would freak out when hearing the word ‘dentist’. Never went back to this location again. For a place that treats children, they have no patience with young kids like mine and it was a horrible experience.

Negative experience: Honestly expected so much more and very disappointed. The answering the phone is ridiculous I waited on hold for 30 mins just to have someone answer the phone. My son had a tooth injury and they did not take it seriously at all. No urgency What’s so ever. The front desk looks miserable all the time. Some people were nice to my son others were not. For a children’s place the care is not there. Being around scared children there should be more care and compassion. My two year old was crying and they made it seem like it annoyed them more than trying to be nice to him so he would not be scared then and in the future. (I feel this why so many people hate the dentist) this was also not just the injury it’s self we have gone for a cleaning and the same thing. Super unfortunate and hopefully it changes but we will be switching.

Positive experience: My daughter had a filling done. The dentist was very nice and professional but I was a little surprised that she started drilling immediately after the shot for numbing was given. My daughter told me she felt the drilling but she was afraid to speak up. Is this normal because when I get the numbing shot they usually wait at least 5 minutes to start drilling. I dont like to complain,just wondering.

Negative experience: Unacceptable! My husband took my 8 year old to the dentist. He came home completely shocked by how mean they treated my gentle compliant daughter. The Dr. yelled at her not to bite whatever he put in her mouth. And then was impatient with her because she tried not to bite on the gauze that she was supposed to bite. He threatened her with another needle if she bites. They gave her laughing gas and numbed her teeth but didn't wait until she was completely numb before they pulled 3 teeth and she was crying in pain. My husband is a tough guy and doesn't get fazed so easily. He was dumbstruck. The Dr. and the assistant were both very nasty. We are obviously not going back to that office. They wanted to schedule the next visit and my husband said no.

Positive experience: I like everything about my visit except for the front desk customer service. I do not ever enjoy my interaction with them especially one in particular. They are very rarely friendly or give out a lot of information and half the time they are giving you instructions with barely looking at you. They should work on that, as well as the cray tech dealing with little ones. however, once you get to the back with the actual dentist and the people that clean the teeth nothing but great experiences.

Negative experience: Receptionist was extremely rude. Had a text message stating appointment was for 12:30, receptionist said the appointment was for 11:30. Another receptionist said it was for 1:30. Had to fill out all new paperwork even though we are just there less then 6 months ago.
Negative experience: The front desk and hygienists have always provided a pleasant experience. The dentists are less friendly. I overheard various employees discussing with each other how the entire staff is feeling overworked and burned out. After waiting over an hour after our appointment time to see the dentist, we had to walk out.

Negative experience: Not clean, not friendly, sitting in room and housekeeping just comes in to empty trash doesn’t knock or introduce just barged in. Felt like a puppy mill of dentist offices.
Negative experience: Zero flexibility. Made an appointment 6 months in advance and received a text message the day before appt. at 1pm that I had 1 1/2 hrs to send my insurance card. I am a working mother and don't have my phone on me at all times. I saw the message at 4pm and immediately sent them my son's insurance card and called the office to see if appt. was still available and was told that I missed the window given to send in card and they were unable to verify. I took off of work for this appt and the kids have no school which is why I booked 6 months in advance. In shock at the lack of compassion or understanding.
Negative experience: I do not understand when retainers are given that got broken. She just had her braces off a little while ago and they are talking about putting another retainer or possibly more braces in six months. You’re not only putting the child through extra trauma you’re putting the parents through Extra trauma, who has to track in for back her to the office for treatment. Why would you wanna mess up with the braces have already done instead of just giving her new retainers?
Negative experience: this place is a disaster, they cut my Childs lip, and then they didn't want to do any work, they even didn't let me schedule another appointment for a different location or different doctor

Negative experience: Two of my children had hygiene visits today. We’ve been going there for years every six months for hygiene. Both my kids were taken at the same time. They had 1 o’clock appointments by two different hygienist after that I waited over half an hour because the dentist was supposed to come and do an exam Half hour later still waiting. I asked an assistant that was walking by in the hallway. When is the doctor coming to give an exam They just keep telling you I don’t know. I start to get impatient. I’m like well. Someone needs to go find out. I don’t wanna wait much longer. Someone comes back Tells me it’s only gonna be a few more minutes. I weigh 10 more minutes still no Doctor I left. I think that’s ridiculous. You have 3/4 hygienist there are doing Hi Tina visit and a dentist that’s working her own schedule but has to leave to do exams for time management. My kids never got their exam. I wasn’t willing to wait.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with our visit. I really do not think I will go back either. First of all, the older women with the short blond hair and tattoos on her arm was coughing nonstop while giving my son xrays. I kept hearing her as she traveled in and out of the room. I cannot believe that she is allowed to work around our kids coughing like that-No mask either. Then when she brought us up the desk, I still said thank you, and she said not one word to us. My son was so excited for the dentist today too! Partly because they give him a prize at the end and a little goody bag with a new tooth brush. He received nothing. I ened up taking him to the Dollar Tree to get him a prize for no cavities. Most importantly though, you shouldn't have sick employees working around our children period.

Negative experience: absolutely horrible! the Dentist that came in today i have never seen him prior. He was extremely rude to both of my boys as well as rough with my children. He did a sorry excuse of an examination as well as not even properly put the final touch of vitamins on their teeth with the toothbrush getting it all on their faces more than in their mouths. To top it all off he blew me off when i was trying to have a conversation with him about concerns and next steps for my sons, then rushed out of the room. The assistants looked uncomfortable with his lack of professionalism and shocked by the ignorance he presented. I called back to get his name after leaving because i was so upset by the visit so i could complain to someone higher up about how he treats his patients and was refused that information.

Negative experience: To say I’m aggravated is an understatement. I’m usually never the one to complain much but what I witnessed today was inexcusable. I brought my daughter in for an appointment because she has been complaining of mouth pain and there is an issue with the back of her gums. I made it online and even emailed pictures. Went in today and was told she couldn’t be seen because it wasn’t put under “consultation” and the email I emailed wasn’t correct(even though it’s on their website). So now we have to go back tomorrow and she has to miss another day of school. Knowing a 5 year old is in a bit of pain and not seeing her today is crazy. It shouldn’t matter what the appointment was under. After tomorrow we will be switching dentists because no one should have to go through this. The front end girls are not friendly whatsoever and always seem like you are bothering them. Extremely disappointed. They just don’t seem to care, it’s upsetting.

Negative experience: Was very disappointed in the Toms River office. We have been to the Jackson location before and they set the bar high in customer service and were absolutely amazing with my son. The front desk at Toms River is not very friendly, not even a smile or warm welcome. The hygienist was lovely and patient. The xray tech was not at all patient with my child, he is autistic with adhd and scensory issues. He is high functioning and very intelligent, he feeds off the energy and impression one gives off. He can read people very well and how you treat him is how he reacts. Though I was not allowed back I could hear everything and I could hear the tone in her voice and he ended up not cooperating with her. ( very opposite experience in Jackson, he did great there) The dentist wasn't horrible, but didn't have the warm compassion one would think a children's specialist Dentist would have. My son was still trying to ground himself from being upset about the xray experience and her lack of compassion wasn't helpful.

Negative experience: Waited over an hour for my child to be taken back for a filling and was provided absolutely no explanation. Mind you we were told not to feed him prior to the appointment, he’s 4. Numerous patients were taken back who arrived after us. We ended up leaving. Worst customer service and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone for their small children.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was treated here and the experience was excellent. We were seen on time, and the staff was very professional and caring. Positive experience: My first impression when I entered the office not clean at all , no where to seat…My appointment is 130 and called me in at 220, .. the hygienists is very nice but the dentist is so so .. don’t like my first visit with them . Not recommended

Negative experience: Today was the first time I had both of my kids there. The dirty blonde older lady dental hygienist was so incredibly rude, I was so taken back because she had her hands inside my 6 year olds mouth, I didn’t want to say anything. She was miserable and I felt like I was in trouble for my child being a patient. Never again.
Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a dental practice you can trust you should just go here. No pressure, no scare tactics and an enjoyable experience. We were patients here a couple of years ago but since we moved away we had trouble finding a dentist that had the same atmosphere in our area, so we decided to travel in to see them today. Definitely worth it. 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: Today was the first time my son got an x-ray and a clean up and I have to say we had such an amazing experienced. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Throughout the whole service we were treated nice with smiles and they demonstarted that they are not there just to take care of dental but building a relationship with every patient.

Negative experience: Not much to say besides get manners staff….y’all were rude as hell and you should be ashamed of yourselves the way you speak to people…..you definitely got the working at the desk as a job right for ya but you belong in a basement with medical records or something away from the public…my family has been coming here forever but because you all don’t know how to deal with proper communication measures with some kind of respect but definitely know how to send a bunch of confirming messages that I physically showed with no change on my end….my daughter is a toddler with growing teeth and when she’s bleeding from a normal brushing at home now everyday ever since a week ago at her cleaning here you would think you would actually care….but you have me waiting 1.5 hours after MY SCHEDULED TIME(not your song or dance bs that you left a message)you are jokes and I should’ve known better after the first girls response—I hate to go further since this is so much more convenient for us but peace out tr ✌️attached a photo too to show my daughters teeth after a normal simple toothbrushing with an extra soft bristle brush——-never!!!!has she ever had this problem—-wake us up with blood on her pillow now and can’t even eat without having blood on whatever it is she’s eating There’s obviously a problem and you don’t want to deal with it—-so thanks for nothing

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old was scheduled for a filling appointment. She has a very strong gag reflex but it wasn’t an issue this time around. The dentist was so great with her and was done within like 10-15 minutes, full procedure. They were great with her. I wish I knew the dentist’s name but I would definitely recommend!

Positive experience: The medical assistant, Gloria, was LOVELY! She was so kind to us and our child who was desperately trying not to let her brush his teeth. She moved through it with a smile and cherry demeanor. The dentist (unfortunately I didn't catch his name) was also very kind and compassionate, reassuring me that the struggle it is to brush my toddlers teeth every night is worth the work!

Fantastic experience: The staff is so kind and did great with my timid terrified 2 year old. They helped her feel comfortable and she was excited to brush her teeth afterwards. I do think the lobby needs some toys or more children decor to entertain them/make them feel comfortable waiting. The lower level tablets were barely working. But staff still deserved 5 stars

Negative experience: Terrible experience. I scheduled appointments for my three kids and when we arrived, they were turned away because of an insurance issue the office never verified or told me about beforehand. My children missed school, Dad missed work, and I had to lend out my car just to get them there. Completely unprofessional and avoidable — families deserve better communication and respect for their time.

Positive experience: The dentist who cleaned Samuel's teeth made him feel so calm and confident. Thank you very much. How professional and with such wonderful empathy for children. I can't say the same about the dentist who saw him at the end of the consultation. Her attitude wasn't the best. She applied something to my son's mouth, but she did it roughly because she also left the product on his lips and outside of his mouth. It was somewhat sticky and uncomfortable for the child. She wasn't in the right mood. I'll ask for another dentist for the next appointment.
Negative experience: Had an appointment for my daughter for 8am. Walked in, 4 parents waiting to sign in, no one at front desk until 8:30, they tell all of us to sit down and wait until they are ready.
Fantastic experience: I literally love everyone in this office so much!! My son did his orthodontic treatment here and I’m sad that he’s graduated and no longer needs to be a patient here… I live an hour away and chose to drive all this way for treatment because that’s how much I love this office! Positive experience: Had to go back twice, first time they did X-rays then informed me that my daughter needed a release from her cardiologist or they couldn’t clean her teeth . she never required antibiotics for dental work so I left not happy . I got a release and even the doctor said why ?nothings changed and if you check off the box that says nothings changed why would they require it. Second time a 10 am appointment took till 11:30 to be over . Receptionists scanned said release but some how couldn’t find it and didn’t start till they could . I will not be going back
Fantastic experience: Dentistry of children team is amazing. I highly recommend them!! The patience they had with my 2 yr was so appreciated. I also have a 5yr old with autism who has been going to them since she was 2. They have always been amazing! 2025 update. My girls are now 7 and 10 and they are still amazing and extremely patient.

Negative experience: Verry good service de First time The second time I went back to get treatment for my daughter she's five years old and the first thing that doctor the Asian guy is younger. Told me to reschedule. He don't wanna take care of my daughter for no reason he don't have any excuse my daughter was cooperate with the treatment. He was very nasty tell me reschedule and leave the room and leave me there like I'm stupid. Try to say, I don't know it was my first treatment for my daughter. He came to the room tried to touch my daughter. My daughter get afraid because he don't introduce himself and make me waste my whole me day

Negative experience: I honestly hate coming to this office. And I am currently shopping around for a new dentist for my kids. Every time we come here the receptionists are so rude. And it’s not an isolated incident, it is every time. They don’t even acknowledge when the kids are talking to them, you’d think working in an office geared towards kids they would at least smile when they talk to them but they don’t even do that. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Negative experience: Doctors are great! The dentistry staff were not very friendly or professional. They walked in without greeting us or explaining what they were going to do with my daughter’s teeth. They just started working and even banged the instruments around, which felt careless and unsettling. Overall, it did not feel professional. On the other hand, I really appreciated the Orthodontics staff. They were much more welcoming, kind, and professional compared to the dental staff.

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit to this dental office. My son is 12 and gets nervous at the dentist. The staff was excellent they were calming to him you could see him relax in the chair as he was getting a cleaning. When we left it was his choice if we went back for another visit to this office. He said I really liked them I would love to switch to these guys. As a mama it made me very happy to hear. I would definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Disgusted with the lack of patience the dentist has when working with children. My daughter's first time dealing with a cavity the dentist was choking her with a plastic device made my child cry BECAUSE SHE COULDNT BREATHE and instead of giving her time to calm down and continue HER JOB she proceeded to cancel my daughter's appointment after giving her laughing gas and was told she needs to go to the hospital and put under anesthesia for a basic cavity because she's incapable of doing her job without hurting kids. I will never return with any of my children.

Fantastic experience: Today both my boys had visits. My oldest is 14 and does really well.. my youngest 2.5 and was his first visit and the hygienist they had was absolutely amazing. She was super patient with my littlest and it took a short couple minutes for him to warm up to her. But he did super and had a great result! She made both my kids ballon’s out of the gloves which was so nice. Even the teenager enjoyed it! If anyone gets Rochelle I believe her name is, she is GREAT!!

Negative experience: Absolutely would not recommend coming here. I made an appointment for my 2 kids to try a new place, which was a mistake. Before we even had our appointment, I encountered issues with the staff; lack of communication and unfriendly. I received a text that one of my kids were not showing up on our insurance policy and to call them. When I called, one of the women from the front desk insisted everything was fine with the insurance. I told her I received a text stating otherwise, but she insisted everything was good. After we hung up, she called back about 1 minute later to say there actually was an issue. I called back and spoke directly with someone in billing who was able to clear up the situation. I received another call from the front desk lady stating she tried to call and there was an issue with the insurance, I stated that I already spoke to someone and it was figured out. She said that wasn’t showing on her end; she took the information and needed to “confirm I spoke to somebody” (as if I’d lie about that?). Where is the communication here? The next day, my husband brought my kids. After the cleaning was done, they waited in the room for over 20 minutes for the doctor, the hygienist came back and said “oh the doctor hasn’t been in yet?” And sent my husband and kids to wait in the waiting room, where there were about 30 people waiting. My 21 month old was not happy with waiting around for over an hour so my husband left. This place is extremely unorganized. And for a place that is made for children, you would think they would understand how hard it is to keep a child entertained in a dentist office, so they wouldn’t keep you waiting for 30+ minutes after your appointment time.

Negative experience: The hygienist was amazing!! Unfortunately the woman (I wish I caught her name) who came in with the Dr was rude and did not know how to speak around a child who has anxiety about going to the dentist. She made a comment about him going to the hospital for his dental work and he heard her and made his anxiety go through the roof. She asked what was wrong and when I told her he heard her say hospital it didn’t really phase her. If you are going to work at a facility that is meant for children, you need to know how to speak to them. Not sure we will be returning due to that comment.

Negative experience: This office is not siblings friendly. Although my son is a preteen, my 5 yr old daughter received the worst service I ever had anywhere. I rescheduled the appointment at another dentistry for children's hoping for my child to be well taken care off. They were going to make an "exception" as long as I stayed with my 9 yr old son in the lobby and left my 5 yr old alone with the dentist. I was ok with this until the dentist told me she is a stranger and if I felt confident leaving my daughter alone with her that this was my responsibility. I asked her to explain this no sibling's policy to me as my son is 9yrs old and well behaved and there were 2 chairs in the room. She told me she was not going to waste her time explaining the policy to me. This interaction happened while it was ok with them to have my son waiting in the lobby alone, because he was not allowed in while we waited for the dentist. This dentist was extremely condescending and obviously she did not give me the confidence to take care of my daughter. Because my daughter is in pain and still is, the earliest appointment I was given was for an afternoon in Neptune next week. I have brought both of my children in the past to this toms river office and although the front desk personnel lack soft skills, the dentists gave me reassurance that my daughter was cared for, until today. I was furious in how disrespectful and condescending this dentist was. And the fact that they refused to explain the policy. If you have older children and can't find a babysitter at 8am for the older sibling, then they are not welcome. Even if your young child is in pain. Update: I was able to leave dentistry for children altogether and made an appointment with a new dentist that is more family friendly. I hope I'm able to get my daughter's records sent to her new dentist before her appointment.

Positive experience: I love the doctors that my children have seen. They have been very helpful and kind especially to my son who has spd and anxiety. I love the option to have dental work done in an operating room to avoid the panic and adrenaline. The thing I don’t like at all is that my son has quite a few things he needs taken care of in said operating room and it’s going on 2 years of waiting and their excuse was that another surgical center closed down and that’s why we’ve been waiting so long. I’m sorry but what? Would these people accept that response if it was their child? I highly doubt it. Now my son has a broken tooth and it’s infected and first available surgery is December?! You’ve gotta be kidding! Completely unacceptable!

Positive experience: Giving 3 starts…just to start. I haven’t even walked into this practice yet. I called this morning to verify info for my 2 kids appointments next week. Receptionist Sydney was the most rude person I have spoken to in a long time. Kept talking over me & “ma’am’ing” me every time I asked a question. I had normal questions regarding insurance, appointment times, etc. Just decided to ask for her name & hung up on her. Will update after we have an appointment. Literally only keeping this appointment because both of my kids really need to go to dentists prior to going away for the rest of the summer & they both are having issues right now. Otherwise, I would’ve told her to cancel it & would’ve chose someone else. Can’t wait to see how she acts in person…

Fantastic experience: Brought my 3 y/o twins for their first dental check up. Staff was kind and accommodating. Very clean facility. We only waited about 20 minutes to be called back, overall had us in and out within an hour of checking in. The hygienist was very patient with my kids, the dentist even more so! Dr. Mallipeddi was very thorough, fast, efficient, and super nice. Even though my kids were scared and upset, which is to be expected, the staff made it as good of a first dental experience as they could for them.

Negative experience: In the beginning when id come here, everything was organized and on top of their game. In and out. Now they over book so many appointments and all over the place not knowing what they are doing. Highly disappointed i had an appointment at 3 and they call to see if I could come at 12. Came in and there's a lobby full of people and been sitting here 2 hours. Get your stuff together, seriously. People who had 1pm cleanings went in before us and few others. Said something then they finally brought us back. Now sitting here again while they run around not knowing wth they are doing. Very irritating and over this place. Alot of people had complained n want to switch dentists which I may look into doing bc this is ridiculous and tbh I NEVER EVER write bad reviews

Positive experience: We went for a filling 3 weeks ago. The person who brought us back was not very understanding with my 4 year old and her first time having to get laughing gas. Didn’t let her see it smell it or anything just told me I had to calm her down or make another appointment. We made another appointment, this time the dr, Dr. Belgrave was the first one in the room. She talked to my 4 year old and explained the mask, yes my 4 year old was still nervous but she was more comfortable in the situation. Dr. Belgrave was amazing with my daughter, as for the hygienist or whatever she was from the first appointment, train them to be good with children considering your primary focus is children!

Negative experience: Front desk staff was not kind. They scheduled an appt without asking our availability. The hygienist told us that our one child wasn’t due for X-rays when I fact she was. The dentist was patient and knowledgeable and had to tell the hygienist that she should X-ray. Thankfully the dentist advocated bc our daughter had dental carries which may have gone unnoticed without imaging. Hygiene staff needs to be more thorough and not try to avoid X-rays

Negative experience: I brought my son on Tuesday for a bad cavity that developed Saturday. The office was way too busy and no where to sit. We went back and he wouldn't take xrays so they put him in a suite. They brushed his teeth and then the doctor came in. My son liked the doctor and she was great with him. They told me he had a bad cavity which I already knew because he had been in so much pain without medicine for 3 days. They said he needed to go to the OR to be out under for xrays and the dental work. Then the doctor proceeded to tell me the wait is 2 months. I looked at her and said you want me to leave my son in pain for 2 months? She said we'll the pain will come and go. I said what should I do about the pain. She said mortrin and tynenol. That is utterly insane to tell me to give a 7 year old medicine for 2 monrhs or that he had to wait two months and he is in pain. They refused to give me an antibiotic. Needless to say we went to another dentist today that told us he needs an antibiotic and the tooth needs ro be pulled within the week. I will never go back to this dentist. For a dentist to tell me to wait 2 monrhs when mt son has an infected tooth is not a doctor for children. My son could have gotten very sick from Tylenol or the infection in his mouth. I will never step foot in that office again. They need to do better. Thank goodness my mom intuition said to ger another opinion and that a tooth infection should not go for 2 months without treatment.

Negative experience: Terrible! The dentist went to put the needle in my sons gums and he put his hands up so the dentist stopped and goes “your too old to act like this, put your hands down!” My son is only 8 years old, at that point I told him to stop, and that I didn’t agree with it this way but the dentist prior didn’t want to schedule him at the surgical center and said to “try it this way”. This is what makes kids scared to go to the dentist!

Negative experience: Horrible!! Dr Christina came in the exam room briefly looked at my 15yr olds xrays, said no cavities. She then brushed on fluoride and left the room. Never even looked into his mouth. The hygienist was also in a rush and my son said she hurt him. We are now switching dentists. Office over books and doesnt care like they used to.
Negative experience: Referred to OR for sedation root canal in DECEMBER. it is almost June and we still haven't been scheduled, OR coordinator doesn't answer the phone, and office says we can't go back to the office to have work done unless we do another consultation or go to another dentist. We're choosing another dentist. Every interaction with this office has been terrible.
Negative experience: I would give them zero stars if that was an option! Apparently it’s “normal” to fill 8 cavities for a FOUR year old all at one time…absolutely disgusted. They were not at all transparent about doing this either. They said we will start with 2 at a time and then proceeded to fill all eight cavities and my 4 year old is in EXCRUCIATING pain following this procedure. They said and I quote he will be “sore” and “uncomfortable” and that this is “normal”. I’m not sure how “normal” filling eight cavities in one sitting for a four year old is but beware and make sure to have full transparency when taking your child here!!

Fantastic experience: My grandson loves going to have his teeth cleaned. He loves the coins you give out and he always comes home with a special treasure. Thank you for a job well done!
Negative experience: This place has gone down hill. It’s a children’s dentistry with no experience for kids. They use to have toys and iPads to keep the kids occupied. Now no toys and some broken iPads. They use to give the kids coins to get prizes when they left. They took that away also. I asked if the kids received tooth brushes. They said we don’t have them but can give the kids adult tooth brushes. Why cut costs when you charge way too much money. Way too expensive for the experience you get. They charged me $425 for two kids for cleanings and fluoride. Spent 15 minutes on each kid. WOW do better management!!! You lost a customer

My daughter had 2 teeth pulled and was extremely anxious about it. Fantastic experience: We had a really bad experience at this location last year, but the staff today made up for it. My daughter was traumatized by a mean hygienist but Allie was so gentle and respectful today. They took their time and addressed fears, and gave good tips about brushing and flossing.

Negative experience: First, I want to give a positive. The hygienist was amazing. She was a temp fill in for the day, not sure if she had been there before but she was kind, got through all three of my kids quickly and let me know of potential areas to watch. Secondly, the entire atmosphere of this office was a chaotic, disorganized mess. I’ve never seen such chaos. From no one knowing where supplies were, to being thrown in a room that looked messy. It was crazy loud in there. My kids appointments were all at 12:30, yet they all were seen one after the other instead of at the same time like planned. A lot of waiting around. Over an hour later, we finally were done. The dentist was not thorough at all literally just looked in their open mouths. No counting teeth, no looking further. And was rude when i questioned the need for x rays every 6 months (our previous dentist did 1x a year so I was literally just asking why they do them so often). They scheduled new appointments without even asking me, I just got a text telling me when the next appt is. Just a weird atmosphere overall and a revolving door of patients. I won’t be back.

Fantastic experience: Just brought my autistic daughter to her first dentist appt at Dentistry for Children in Toms River and it was the Best Dentist ever! At first my daughter was scared but the hygienist, Patricia was so friendly, patient, and amazing! She showed her what she was using and let her feel it to see it doesn’t hurt. The dentist was also good. They give the kids coins to get a little toy out the coin machine! After, they gave her coins to get something out of the machine. She chose 2 octopuses and a bounty ball. Now she can’t wait to go back to the dentist! UPDATE: They do NOT have the coin machines anymore. It’s really sad because the kids used to look forward to seeing the dentist to get the coins. Now you don’t get anything. So Sad.

Positive experience: The receptionist that checked me in was very friendly. The woman who did the xrays was very nice. The hygienist was rude and had no patience with my son. I had to remind her that my son has special needs. I definitely preferred the hygienist at the lakewood office. They were kinder and more patient. The dentist was in and out in 5 seconds.

Negative experience: If I give no stars I would. My husband left work early to take my daughter for an appointment. They could not understand why she was there. Aren’t you the dentist. We were referred for a consultation for teeth extraction. The guy comes in to tell us he will be right back to do X-rays and never comes back. Waste of time. Negative experience: Long wait time. Patients coming in the door after me, getting called in the back. My baby waited so long he fell asleep whole time having his few teeth clean and dentist checking him out.

Negative experience: The last coupe time I took my son here is good , but this time the experience feels like no care at all for the visit , every working on so rushed and just want to be done , my son came for teeth cleaning, he got 2 front teeth cleaning, then all done , hopefully my next visit will be a better experience

Positive experience: My son has been there 2x this year already for cleaning and then today 2/21 for cavity fillings.. the dentist he had today was amazing! She was very patient and explained everything she was doing. I forgot her name but she has long dark hair and was wearing A cat in the hat wrap in her head. We even made another future Appt with her as my son said he felt comfortable with her. Hope to continue having good experiences there.

Negative experience: Toms River location. The xray tech talked down to both my daughters. She said to my one daughter to not whine. Dentist and hygienist were nice. At check out the woman was very unprofessional. My son needed paperwork and rudely replied that she has 30 days to do it. I looked at her in confusion and told her I have never had this issue with getting it same day. She said she was busy. Not for nothing, but in the three minutes of telling me and complaining to me and saying I could ask your office manager and refusing to do it because you were “too behind in other work” it could have been filled out. It sounded more so that just because my son goes to Head Start, it was intentional to make me wait and have to drive twenty minutes back there when she has “time” to complete it. This place used to be professional and kind. The way they treat children and speak to their customers are unacceptable. Just because a 4 year old is in Head Start doesn’t mean you have a right to give less than average professionalism.
